SD Capital of Craft 2024 West Coast IPA, brewed at Fall with many collaborators (Picked up at Windmill Farms). A 3 of 4. Really interesting tropical fruit profile on this with lots of lime and quite a bit of resin, too. Nice more traditional West Coast malty back and a firm, clean bitterness in the finish.

本日の晩酌は、なんと浜松の不動産会社Octagon Brewingが造って��るクラフトビール。不動産とビールとは？？と謎だったんですが、この丸八不動産さんのサイトの誕生秘話を見てみると

とある卸売業の会社のビルを譲ってもらうことになったが、その会社の創業の地でもあるため、地域の人が集まるような場所にしたい

↓

クラフトビールの醸造所とお店にすれば、地域の人が集まって飲める場所になるのでは

ということで不動産業とビールになったそうです。

今回飲んだのは、Octagon Brewingさんと道の駅とよはしのコラボ商品「大葉と深呼吸」です。コロナの影響を受けた大葉農家さんの支援のために作られたとのこと。というか、豊橋って大葉の生産量日本一だったんですね。

スタイルはヴァイツェン。飲んでもシソのあの特徴的な香りは特にせず、爽やかにゴクゴク飲める感じのビールでした。

確かこれは道の駅とよはしでしか買えない限定商品だったはずです。
