My main takeaway with the scene of Daemon and Rhaenyra reuniting is that she just stands there stone faced while daemon is the one who gets to talk and rally the troops that are sworn to her. Literally. Queen of the seven kingdoms and she can’t even say a word to the people under her command? They don’t even kneel or part for her until her dragon roars and then daemon shows up. Like ok sure sexism and not really being seen as the legit ruler by her own people is a struggle I get, but she puts absolutely no effort in even speaking to them or do anything but stand there. Why doesn’t she get to have a moment to address them, instead of daemon, who they all hate??? They made such a point last episode how they’re sworn to the queen, not him. That hes undeserving of their loyalty because of the filthy things he’s done. But sure ok daemon gets to humble himself and have the men rally around him for that like it’s all fine. The horrifying war crimes daemon committed against them are forgiven now. Rhaenyra is their queen! They’re here for her!! Why do the writers just let her be sidelined amongst her own people like this?! It’s so infuriating!!
