a very short MC riding the tall ROs shoulder would be fun me thinks...

I hear you and raise you with a coyote riding on the back of a massive bear.

I wrote a short snippet with K and MC. Because the visual was too damn cute to ignore.

You've been deceived, utterly hoodwinked and tricked. Foolishly, you'd assumed K wasn't capable of such deception. A clear error in judgment you won't be repeating.

"It's a short walk in the woods," they had said, so flippantly that you couldn't help but believe them. "We can shift too and twice the number of legs means half the distance."

Makes sense, the logic checks out.

Except for the major caveat that K's legs are four times as long as yours. The lack of backpacks has also deprived you of any snacks that might have replenished your waning energy as you weave through the trees with no end in sight. You'd like to think you have some pride, some stubbornness that would translate to you enduring the rest of the walk. Maybe indulging in some pouting, silently and with dignity, of course.

That determination eroded soon enough as you plopped down into the moss with a low whine. Maybe you'll just sleep here, softly cradled by the undergrowth.

A warm puff of air shifted your focus to the, somehow still, energetic bear that towered over you. Deep brown eyes twinkled with amusement, you'd expected them to wait and let you rest for a bit. Instead, the massive bear had lowered their shoulders, nodding toward their back in invitation.

Surely they don't mean...

But they did, and now you lie, reluctantly comfortable, curled up on the broad back of K. The deep brown fur is soft and warm underneath you, softer even the plushest of duvets. You're rocked gently from side to side as they walk, lulling you into closing your eyes for a moment. When you open them the view is drastically different. Log cabins have replaced the trees and the moss has given way to lush grass.

There is also a smug bear looking right at you, having obviously caught you napping on their back. You throw them a glare to hide your embarrassment before leaping off them, trading warm fur for dewy grass. K snorts when you almost stumble, legs still heavy from your unplanned nap.

You bashfully trot away, feeling K's self-satisfied eyes glued to your back as you go.

They are never letting you forget this, are they?

Heyo! You know what would add to the angst? Friendship bracelets! UwU. Like mc and Li making them for eachother, either just cause or wtv, promising no matter what they will always be friends and never take em. >:)

Have you been peeking at my notes?

Honestly, L will definitely have given you little tokens of friendship over the years. They are very much of the sentimental persuasion and would happily gift you a leaf or a pencil that "Reminded me of you." Sadly, anything they might have given you would have been placed into your backpack, which is now lost to you. But maybe you could even it someday.

(The idea of the MC making a bracelet is too cute to ignore, though, so I wrote it under the cut. I didn't proofread this, so I won't vouch for the quality.)

The colored twine is smooth beneath your fingertips, running between your fingers easily as you tie the red into the orange. Different colored strands with different thicknesses and textures, a collection of pieces left from when you last mended your clothes.

You twist them over once more, a poor replica of the move you'd seen by a kid in the playground. Somehow, their chubby little fingers made it look easy. By now, you can fully understand the youngster's skill and craftmanship as you focus intently on the misshapen cord forming before you.

It was meant to be a nice gift. Symbolic and meaningful. A token for Li to wear that goes beyond the life you already share together. Looking down at the bent bracelet, you feel silly. Maybe you'll just throw it away?

"What are you hiding there?"

The sudden voice startles you, and you let out an undignified yelp as you fumble to hide your gift. You don't have to turn around for Li to know you're fuming. "Don't sneak up on me like that," you shoot over your shoulder at the approaching wolf.

"Why? Is it 'cause you're keeping secrets?" They tease. And damned if it doesn't make heat creep up your neck as you clutch the cord tightly.

"No. Don't be ridiculous." It's a lie, and a poor one if the knowing smile Li gives you is anything to go by.

"What's that in your hand?" They ask, and as you glance down, you spot the cursed orange string sticking out of your closed fist.

"It's a- It's-" You stumble over your words, forced to bend your head down to hide the blush burning your cheeks.

"It's a...?" They press.

"A bracelet," you mumble. "I made a bracelet for you." Already mortified, you decide to put the final nail in the coffin and put your wonky attempt at crafts on display for Li to see.

They pluck the knotted string from your hand, twisting and turning it to fully absorb all aspects of your gift. "I'm getting buried in this," they breathe, awestruck as they struggle to tear their eyes away from the bracelet.

"That's because you have awful taste," you joke. Simultaneously insulting them and yourself.

"It's got character," they defend, finally dragging their eyes up to meet yours. "Put it on me."

"It's not even done ye-"

"Then finish the thing!" They holler.

Silly wolf. You never hope they stop.

Warner Bros has completed the sale for their previously shelved Coyote vs. Acme movie.

Ketchup Entertainment today confirmed their completed deal for worldwide rights to the live-action/animated hybrid film that brings Looney Tunes character Wile E. Coyote to the big screen. The deal was pegged in the $50M range and the film is expected to get a theatrical release in 2026.

Gareth West, CEO of Ketchup Entertainment, said today: “We’re thrilled to have made a deal with Warner Bros. Pictures to bring this film to audiences worldwide. Coyote Vs Acme is a perfect blend of nostalgia and modern storytelling, capturing the essence of the beloved Looney Tunes characters while introducing them to a new generation.
