Here's another list of sims related content that brings me joy. They're in no particular order and I plan to do yet another one of these in the future (already working on the list).

Legacy and Gameplay Simblrs:

@servegrilledcheese - one word, GOALS! I'm generally inspired by this simmer's aesthetic and gameplay shots. I especially, appreciate the balance of posing and gameplay screenies.

@apricote - cute cartoonish sims that live in a comfy and dreamy world that is muted yet still colorful.

@dreamstatesims - Cute gifs, cool sims, and gameplay that heavily influences me. I love the balance of adult content with wholesome family gameplay. It's perfection to me.

@shoobysims - cartoon style maxis match sims that are so unique and endearing. (Love the contrast of cartoonish sims and periodic adult content!) ;)

@bug-farm - THE COLORS! Distinct sims style that's cartoony and maxis match. I adore the alien sims in particular. <3

@touchmypixels - Love the editing style, the alien sims in particular make my brain happy, and I really enjoy the interior decorating style too.

@bobnewbie - Beautiful sims, fun family gameplay shots, and bright colors. Also, a balance of posing and gameplay shots that I personally really appreciate.

@pixelnrd - the very first simblr story I ever read fully from the beginning. The Langston Legacy has me hooked!

Mod Creators:

@tianasimstreehouse - regular and occult food mods, I especially love this baked bean recipe and the U.F.O Jam sandwiches.

Favorite Default Replacements & Game Override Mods (Part 1 - Object Overrides)

A compiled list of my favorite default replacement and override mods from the past year, plus a few classics that I just couldn't leave out. This is Part 1/3 of a collection of cc finds.

So, I figured I'm long overdue for another mod rec list and voila! - here we are.

This time, I'll be linking my favorite default replacement and override mods! While I mostly focused on newer releases, I also tried to add some overrides I don't frequently see mentioned on YT or in rec lists.

hello! do you have any recommendations for other blogs posting about vampires? i'd love to read more but I don't know what tags to search so I'm hoping you could point me in the right direction

Hi! I just know I'll leave a bunch of people out, but here are some recs for you. @stinkrascal, @simsdaughters, and @igotsnothing have some amazing vampire stories going right now. Of course, there's also @gunthermunch's lovely story, which has vampires along with many other fun things. @windslar hasn't posted in a while, but her current legacy generation is vamp-centric and I hope she'll be back soon. I definitely recommend binging @mangosimoothie's The Familiar, which was so good I'll never shut up about it. @dead-lights does amazing renders with occult premades and is currently hosting the delightful Grand Occult Baking Championship. @squea's Corn is one of my favorite vamps ever. @acuar-io just started doing some fun vampire gameplay. @cowplant-snacks has me shipping Vlad/Greg like there's no tomorrow. Favorite Townie: I don't have one. It's weird because I loved playing with the premade sims in Sims 2, but I've never really played with any of the Sims 4 premades/townies. I do like that Don Gooseman is sort of a play on Ron Swanson from Parks and Rec so I guess he can be my favorite.

Most Used Pack: Cottage Living, Get Together (for the clubs)

Favorite Decor Object: I fell in love with that cast iron pot from the Ranch pack the moment I saw it 😍

Something You Want In the Game: More outfit categories. Give me Outerwear separate from Cold Weather. We got an underwear pack, but no Underwear category. Also - and I know so many say this but - Bands. Heck, give me drums and a bass and I'll fake it through the club system, but throw me a bone EA!

What Color Is Your Plumbob: Yellow, probably veering towards orange. It has been a hellish month at work (and will likely get worse before it gets better) and I've got a terrible cold right now.

Meanwhile, Thorne hits the gym in the rec centre.

He’s only been a teenager for a day, but already feels his occult-hybrid status battling against each other. Part spellcaster, part werewolf. He was hoping he’d feel more of the spark of the magic supposedly in the depth of his soul. He’s not felt anything - not even a tingle.

His werewolf abilities though? Plumbobs. If he runs his tongue over his teeth, they feel sharper. His sense of smell had heightened. His keen eyesight developed. The world around him feels more alive than ever.

Plus, Thorne feels stronger. He wants to test out his abilities on the workout equipment. He doesn’t have claws like his full-werewolf mother, Kana, but she explained that all werewolves are natural climbers. If he can master the climbing wall, maybe he’ll feel closer to one of his occult sides.

Thorne starts up the machine and leaps up, easily finding footing. Everything’s going so well, until the climbing angle changes naturally. He mistimes his next move. His hand slips, sending him tumbling to the floor.

Thorne: “Plumbobs! Mother of a cowplant! Oww!”

With a groan, Thorne pushes himself up. Why did he put so much faith in himself? He should have known that his abilities would let him down. He’s always going to be stuck - not quite a spellcaster, not quite a werewolf.

The Pancake's House

Bob & Eliza's Home - 7 Courtyard Lane, Willow Creek

When Bob and Eliza purchased this house on Courtyard Lane 10 years ago she envision that her and Bob would get married and start a family.

Bob & Eliza - Young Adults

After five years of trying to concieve a child and Bob still unmotivated to tackle his ambitions, she started becoming frustrated and started spending more time at the gym. Her frustration led to wandering eyes and in an attempt to keep Eliza happy he proposed to her.

Bob & Eliza's Wedding Day - Adults

Shortly after getting married Bob's parents Ben & Bernice passed away, leaving him their resturant "Giggling Pancakes". Locals knew and loved Benny & Bernie and the resturant was always successful because of the locals who wanted to support their buisness. Eliza hoped that this would would motivate him to be successful and carry on the Pancake's family name.

However the passing of his parents only led to further depression and the resturant has been on a decline ever since. The staff who knew and loved Benny and Bernie stayed and Bob keeps the resturant open late in hopes of catching those leaving Sixam Cinemas at the end of the night.

On Eliza's 30th birthday Bob brought home Mini, hoping that would ease her need to nuture since they've been unable to concieve. Eliza fell in love with Mini but as the years kept passing and things getting worse she grew resentful of Mini.

Eliza has grown frustrated over the years and has been trying to focus on staying fit and working hard at Tellama. She recently was promoted to Assistant Manager. However, Eliza is tired of carrying the burden of being the sole provider and when she's not at the rec center's gym you'll find her confiding in her best friend and neighbor Kate. On the tough days Eliza will reiminisce on the life she always imagined when her and Bob purchased the home.

These two once madly in love - are still in the same spot they were ten years ago and as Eliza approaches her 40th birthday she's been thinking its time that she is better off on her own, her only hope is that her best friend and husband will turn a new leaf as she's run out of suggestions after ten long years together.
