Page on avians in my Hermits are Space Orcs au! They aren’t meant to make much evolutionary sense, mostly to look cool, but hey, humans have some nonsensical bits too! (Looking at you, human spine). I am Allowed to take liberties with expression because I enjoy being able to convey emotions through characters reacting visually.

Grian and Jimmy are canonically avians, but I did draw the rest of Boatem to show how variation can occur. Off to the same side, you can see my initial concept art for Grian! He really didn’t change too much, I just unified his palette a bit and changed his clothes.

idk if it's because i'm oblivious or it's because the characters are designed so differently to what they usually look like, but it took me an entire season to realize that the general was lois lane's dad and that alex was lex luthor bc bro's not bald but i feel like those two are somewhat understandable?? cos like i forgot lois is asian here and lex isn't bald right but i'm literally in the middle of finishing s2e7 when it finally hit me like a truck that WILSON IS SLADE WILSON AS IN DEATHSTROKE

The solstice project!!! Me and @banditblvd teamed up to answer the question everyone’s obviously been asking since Wild Life: what if Mumbo and Skiz were small??? What if they were just little guys??? Itty bitty???

Jokes aside, this was so much fun, and I think it genuinely improved my skills as an artist by a landslide. Bandit is such a cool artist, and I’m thrilled that I got the experience of working with him!!! (His stylization and speed,,,, ough,,, and I’ve been stealing character design details from this project because they’re So Good) .

It is in fact the Winter Solstice and anyone who says otherwise will be put into Time Prison ( i. have had a headache for the past 2 1/2 months. bandit thank you for being incredibly patient while my brain has beaten me up :] ).
