“we shouldn’t be doing this,” you whisper, feeling jay’s breath warm against your lips, his hand cupping your cheek. “but i can’t help it,” he murmurs back, eyes searching yours as if looking for permission to continue. his thumb brushes over your skin, sending a shiver down your spine. “i don’t care what they say, baby. i want you.” “just one kiss,” he pleads softly, his lips hovering inches from yours, “please.”

“jake, someone’s gonna see us,” you hiss, glancing nervously over his shoulder as he tugs you behind the door, his lips already ghosting over your ear. “let them,” he whispers back, a grin playing at the corners of his mouth. “i just want one kiss.” before you can argue, his lips are on yours, making you forget where you are. your fingers curling into his shirt, but then footsteps echo down the hallway. “jake—” you gasp, pulling back, but he just laughs softly, eyes sparkling with mischief. “relax, they’re gone,” he murmurs, stealing one more quick kiss before stepping away, a teasing smirk on his lips. “see? no harm done.” “you’re impossible,” you mutter, though you can’t help but smile. “and you love it,” he grins, holding you a little closer, and you know he’s right.
