Now that I think about it, The Acolyte would have been a great film trilogy. Introducing a new era beyond the Skywalkers deserved a big-screen debut. The show's elements would have translated perfectly to film, freeing the writing and crew from the limits of a tight episodic schedule. A movie would have let the story unfold naturally, fully showcasing the richness of its world and characters.

If by some miracle Disney reconsiders the cancellation, I hope they bring it back as a film, with Leslye Headland at the helm. This story is hers, and it wouldn’t work without her vision guiding it.
