watching the s2 trailers i'm just so loving the 1790s glimpses so far. it could be totally misleading, but i kind of get the sense that (for now, in these clips), armand is kind of painting a picture of how initially(?) lestat impressed him as a sexy badass when he came into his life? bc these memories, sir. damn.

which is a hilarious contrast to a season of louis's condemnation of him mostly as a manipulative, insensitive, selfish partner who was a crap mentor and a terrible parent, who nonetheless had a compelling "way about him" (and a vampire bond). (BUT! ofc if we read between the lines it's clear these aren't louis's only feelings on the matter. just the framing he currently has for daniel.)

i'm really curious whether louis or armand (both?) is portraying lestat looking glamorous and villainous at the trial:

and not to break your dash, but of course claudia's recounting of him that we're allowed to know is mostly lestat as anywhere from a negligent to cold to monstrous maker/uncle/brother/tormentor.

Writing update

Finally! The writing for chapter 3 is at last finished, now all that remains is to spellcheck and playtest which, fingers crossed, won't take too long 😮‍💨

I'm so excited to introduce another one of the ROs in this chapter 🤗, I've added a small sneak peek to the introduction under the cut.

Amber eyes meet yours as you find a woman staring at you. Her eyes are sharp as they observe you from the other side of the room, and seem to bore their way into your skull the longer your gaze stays locked with hers. A moment passes before the woman rises and starts to saunter over to you, stepping around the myriad of tables and chairs with a dancer's grace. Her brown hair sways around her ears with each step closer she takes.

Not Jac saying they shot a whole scene of the coven having brunch at some restaurant called the Crabby Shack after they all got off the Road and it was hilarious but then it didn’t feel right to bring everyone back at the end so they cut it. 😮😭 Girl I agree with you from a writing perspective but where did that footage end up we deserve to see it. SO per Rvb wiki, A'rynasea's model is a Halo Phaeton. Per halopedia, a Phaeton is 10.3 meters long, so more or less this scale right? not super big but hey, our boy Locus is on the run and needs something small and fast so fair enough right?

long story short: Locus breaking the scale of things is making me mad, has been making me mad for a WHILE now and the only thing i can feasibly assume is A'rynasea is bigger?? than a normal phaeton but as soon as you start scaling her up, Locus' claim that there int enough room for a third passenger doesnt make sense like, it'd be tight but as it gets bigger than a normal phaeton and you CAN squeeze three people in there

i know i know its rvb, logic doesnt apply here, but look i like to know the schematics when im in this deep and this shit is ridiculous
