AT THIS POINT, ARYLL COULDN’T EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE WHERE SHE WAS ANYMORE. For the past century, she has slowly but surely been losing her control over herself; even if she had just been sitting in the same place in the forest! But now, she knew she wasn’t in there anymore. The same field where this had began was in the back of her mind, though it wasn’t really being thought about. Whatever was controlling her wouldn’t let her think.

In a way, it felt both relaxing and horrifying to not have control of her body anymore. Relaxing because she didn’t need to think about consequences, but horrifying because she didn’t exactly know what she was doing. Could she even consider this “herself” anymore?

Either way, all she knew was that she was just... walking. She learned not too long ago that there was no set path; it just wandered around. Almost as if she was lost, or at least that’s what it’d look like to everyone if not for the fact that the malice was covering a huge portion of her torso and her left arm. The eyes that were coming out of her coat and her glove were not appealing to look at either... but she couldn’t do anything.

She was going to be stuck here until someone freed her from this, and she didn’t even know how that’d be possible!

But the next thing she knew, she felt pain for once. Seemed like the mindless shell of her body had finally fallen over something; she couldn’t tell what it was. What she did know is that it wasn’t getting back up. Not because it didn’t know how to, but because it knew that this would be beneficial. If anyone saw her, they’d most likely come to investigate, leaving this monstrous body an opportunity to attack! And she had almost forgotten about that blue glowing sword she had...

He could feel a shift in the air, something didn’t seem right. As a Rito, especially one of such a high caliber, he was extremely used to the feeling of the air. “Link, do you feel that or is it just me?” Revali was rarely one to talk to Link if he had to yet... “I feel like we’re being watched.”

Her hand is grasping his with such desperation, she doesn’t realize how tightly she is holding onto him. How could Mipha forget the impulsive nature of this boy? Even as memories still evade him, he still holds the personality of the boy she met a century prior. 

Her breathing is quick and shallow. Even in the event of an ambush from the Yiga Clan, Mipha still sees herself as helpful as a spearsman. How will she prove herself if Link continuously pushes her out of the way in order to defend both of them? 

She closes her eyes. What led her to press her lips against his is beyond her ability to understand. She could only believe it was the thought of never seeing Link again that had led her to act so impulsively. Yet here she was, hands still holding his.

When she eventually pulls away, her eyes are unable to focus upon him. She whispers-

“I can’t lose you. Not again.”

  The female looked to the male in shock. She always wanted to hear those words from her own Father. But she heard it from her champion. Her cheeks flushed up in shock as she was stunned as to what to say. There was no chance that she had thought her knight had said the words she wanted to hear.

  Clearly her throat, she closed her eyes before shaking her head. “If I was, I would have the power that apparently falls on deaf ears at the springs I pray at.” She frowned, actually getting angry for a moment before looking down. “But, I do appreciate the thought…”

“A fool is someone who can’t see past his failures.” His words -- though slicing through like a well rounded knife, held sincerity in them. “If you continue to pit your failures against yourself, you’ll never be able to see the good you did.” Even if it came with the price of sacrifice,  whether it be through others or one’s self (the latter in his case).

ARYLL HADN’T ACTUALLY EXPECTED TO FIND HIM AS QUICKLY AS SHE DID. It was amazing what a child could find out by simply listening to those around her, and she decided to wait at a stable around the area he had been “seen” at (Perhaps it was a bit too naive of her to trust what strangers said; people tell lies more often now than ever.).

But what also came with that was the realisation that he apparently didn’t have his memories anymore. She wasn’t sure what had happened out on the field the day he had set off to the spring with the Champions and the princess (The last day she saw him; the rest of that day was filled with horrors that he never wanted her to go through.), but she knew that it must’ve been traumatic enough to cause... this.

No matter how painful it might be, she needed to pretend for now. Even if he remembered her, it’d be a miracle if he recognised her. For all he knew, Aryll had died a hundred years ago. Everyone knew that. But no one could ignore the similarities between Aryll and “Amaryllis”. So, she decided to go up and speak to him.

“ Haven’t seen ya around here before... or maybe you have been here, and I just wasn’t. Who are you? “ A silly question, sure, but she had to start right from the beginning. Maybe if he found out she had existed, she could tell him then. Tell him that she was alive; right here! ...But that day probably wouldn’t be for a long time. With that in mind, her expression definitely seemed out of place. Sad, child-like in a way, but mainly lost.

It was but chance, that she stumble across him out here, in the wilderness but still not to far from the borders of Eldin, its stable far ahead of the pathway.

She had just done some hunting on roaming Ostriches of the region. The collect meats were secure inside the traveling bag, she use for scavenging purposes, nothing more.

Quietly, in the background, Suzu had begun following the knight, not to appear as clingy, only because the stable workers had asked her to acquire enough meats for them to stock. 

They’ve seen her hunting prowess and she didn’t minded the task. However, after a considerable amount of silence, the disguised dragoness, merely thought of saying what needed to be said, so it does not gnaw at her mind.

As soon as the Hylian quited going forwards, she did the same. Ruby colored optics could see it all, that whirlwind of emotions coming from Link.

‘‘Fear is meant for release, if all kept in, you become its puppet, trapped in the dreadful past Hyrule had to face’’, words of the wise, never to disregard. Although, many did. She has been walking, flying this land far before the past 100 years, that include the boy’s birth even.

‘‘Peoples expect you to go forwards, without needing to look back at things that were beyond control, its not only about you. You do not walk this land alone. Hope is meant to be shared, not carried on its lonesome’’.

Despite all those words, she was not trying to bring down his mood.

Deca and I have been writing with each other for since I started writing Malcolm back on my first multi or his first solo blog (I can’t remember which) and my love for her has grown more and more. Probably one of the sweetest people with the most reach across so many fandoms and I love my chaotic dragon DM with all my heart.

We’ve eaten pastries together and written since I first started writing on tumblr all the way back on my Tim McGee blog however many years ago. We both write Paul and that made us so anxious to interact with each other at first but now I can’t imagine not writing with their Paul via Glenn, Sovua, Matt, and even my own Paul! Jamie is an absolute sweetheart who I would do anything for and they have joint custody of our one brain cell.

One of the best people in the crime show rpc and I’m surprised that she doesn’t have more people writing with her. Streamy is one of the sole reasons I keep Ellie on this blog because I know I’m not the only one with an NCIS muse. Not to mention, Streamy and I cannot and will not be stopped when it comes to how queer the NCIS characters should be and the fact that you made your Jon blog because of me makes me cry to this very day. You’re the best Streamy uwu
