Why is Lee Soo Hyuk special?

Kim Roksoo: the soul that had his body stolen by the White Star and affected by the curse, potentially originally supposed to be born a Thames

Alberu Crossman: descendant of the ancient White Star + part dark elf, thus overcoming the curse of the Sun God

Choi Han: a single-lifer and nephew of the first Dragon Slayer

Choi Jung Soo: member of Choi family and a wanderer

Original Cale Henituse: member of the Thames household with the destiny of regressor+transmigrator

All of these people seem to have some kind of connection that ties them together and somehow inevitably caught up in the mess.

But Lee Soo Hyuk seems different... So far. Maybe it'll come up later on how his ancestry ties to all of this, but it's fine like this too. Because it means that Lee Soo Hyuk is just special on his own. Even after getting to know him in the Sealed God's test and now in part 2, he still somehow manages to come off as a total enigma.

They all also seem to have some kind of tag attached to them that seemingly transcends being a normal human. Compared to them Lee Soo Hyuk seems kinda... Normal.

Lee Soo Hyuk is just Lee Soo Hyuk. One of the very first ability users in post apocalyptic Korea to awaken two non related abilities. The man who could slash through anything, the man who saved so many people despite growing weary and tired. The man who remained a Team Leader despite having the chance to go higher up just so he could go out to the field and save more people.

The more you think about him, it makes sense why people looked up to and admired him. Lee Soo Hyuk was a true hero.

Doing that first poll gave me an idea: set up this trivia-esque poll thing every week on certain Persona facts just for kicks.

So that's what I'm gonna do :3, starting with:

I like the new Shang Tsung but there's several downgrades from his MK11 version:

-no braids

-no painted nails

-no tit windows

#he served 💅 too much WB made them tone it down #mortal kombat #shang tsung #the lack of braids bother me because I looovve his hair in MK11 and I've spent an inordinate amount of time imagining him doing his hair #it was such a good little detail #the painted black nails always floored me.#not to be dramatic but with MK11's terrible writing it was like. the best hint of queer rep we got shsjak #and the ti-t window I can live without but give him something a little more revealing. c'mon #*unless any of this is in the gear.. in which case the gear system p•sses me off and doesn't count

I think everyone blaming the spinoff for Young Sheldon being different is only doing so because it is easier to blame the spinoff than the natural consequence of the show being in its SEVENTH SEASON… having to work quickly after the writers strike/actors strike… and the simple fact that until George buys the farm, Sheldon is basically at his final development point already and all his real development can be found in his very popular series that we saw already.

Yeah -#but they basically were background until Episode 6 #like think about this - REALLY remember - I know it’s hard bc S7 is short and kinda boring #but they had basically NO screentime until their wedding plot kicked off #I’d say the first three episodes were Mary and Sheldon heavy #with consistent Meemaw focus #that’s why - Meemaw is basically the one character always in some focus in these final episodes #where as I think Georgie and Mandy get like four couple scenes in five episodes that last about a minute or so #Sheldon took a backseat for the wedding but still had a big character reveal - then we see his college choices #that’s about all you CAN do with him until George dies.

the worst part of act 3 so far for me is going an hour without combat and talking to 50+ npcs that just have one liners

Oh y'all are sharing Spotify Wrappeds? Oh sure here's mine. I'm still waiting on my actual year-end list though. Yeah I'm making a homebrew year-end chart. Yeah it won't be ready for another 24 days. Yeah I use homegrown weekly data points harvested from local scrobble aggregators. Wait where did everyone go

#bulletbilltime rambling #spotify wrapped #every year everyone gets so hyped about the spotify wrapped and I'm internally just like #ah yes. the first of 4 year end charts.#like some sort of villain collecting mcguffins 😭#like people are sharing that exact same joy that I am; which is looking back on a year of music listening #but bc I'm a fucking nerd about it I just kinda feel isolated #I know there are communities dedicated to personal charts out there so like I know I'm not alone in doing stuff like this #I just find it so satisfying to make a chart every week and then check in every so often to see how the year's shaking out!#and I try my darnedest to not spoil myself too much on the actual placements #so that when the final chart is done I can make a big reveal out of it and find out where everything landed #(tho this year I kinda spoiled myself a bit on the Q3 year-to-date BUT it's still better than nothing!)#spotify wrapped kinda does this but it's this weird black box to me in terms of data. plus it doesn't count local files.#which is an issue when my most listened song this year was one lol #not to mention it only being january-october data #I still like seeing mine tho! in fact I'm about to write down all the songs in my wrapped so I can compare it at the end of the month #with my own scoring system & crownnote's year end (a site I upload my charts to) & last.fm's final results #they always have fun divergences!#spotify apparently is more based on minutes you spend with a song?#while last.fm is strictly plays based #then my own personal charts' system gives a view of which songs had longer lasting impact rather than immediate flare outs #and crownnote's does the same but weighs higher positions more heavily #and that combined kinda gives an interesting view of the year!!#Spotify always has the wildest picks too which end up in none of the other lists #I find these data points so engaging!!!!#I wish others found them as engaging as I do :(#I need to ramble about music charts and have nobody who actively wants to listen aaaaaaaa #the post is stored in the tags

my naming scheme for the resurrectionists causes me undue stress a lot of the time but when it works it Works

#edgar mortis is obv edgar allen poe + latin word for death. and his surname plays off the fact that there are four other resurrection men #only identified by their surnames which are pallor livor rigor and algor. rigor mortis should be easy to clock but the rest are all stages #of death as well when you attach -mortis to the end of them. which cements edgar's identity as a resurrection man even when he's farrr too #consumed by morana's world of magic and mystery to be actively working.#morana faust is a slavic death goddess + faust. the most famous necromancer in all of fiction. once again her surname cements her identity #as a necromancer specifically even when she gets swept away by unrelated magical happenings #nine and shi aren't their real names but their identification numbers are 9444999 and 4999444. 9 and 4 are both associated with death and #each of their numbers are the other's but reversed. also nine was a classical composer in life and there's a superstition that classical #composers will not live to write their 9th symphony (he sure as hell didn't lol) so it's fitting that he's the one who ended up with the #nickname. abberline isn't his real name either so he doesn't count. valdís has ancient norse for 'death' (val) + 'dis' (goddess) despite th #name not actually being used for any actual death goddess and her surname toth is likely derived from a medieval german word for death #her name isn't glaringly out of place with the rest of the cast but doesn't immediately let you catch on to her whole deal #which is good bc valdís is meant to sort of blend into the backround of reader's minds until The Reveal.#mara is a minor hindu goddess of death and her surname grave is. well. self explanatory. i tried to give the more non-magical side of londo #more straightforward names to contrast with some of the others and obv her dad was created before her and dr grave seemed like a good name #for someone who only popped up in the story while he was hiring professional grave robbers (now he pawns that task off on mara lol)#ereshkigal kore is just queen of the underworld + queen of the underworld but def has a very grandiose feel which is good bc that's #absolutely the vibes she should be giving off. all her servants' names boil down to figures associated with the greek + mesopotamian #underworlds. mainly attendants of aforementioned goddesses. which fits bc they all serve her #but i'd like to give special consideration to the maid trio here bc they're a set of triplets. and their last name is cerberus.#which famously had 3 heads. and the older two feature a similar naming scheme as persephone + eurydice (they even both end in the same e #sound) but the youngest's name is aisha which means 'living' or 'alive'. and obv her departure from the naming scheme makes her more easily #differentiated from her sisters + more memorable in the long run which is good bc she's the most important maid but it also gives me room t #have a 'my name means alive but she's named for the queen of the underworld so i'm willing to not live up to my name if it means being #closer to her' moment w a shitton of lilies in frame in case it isn't clear to anyone what's going on ('her' means eresh not persephone btw #and then there's dysmas. the patron saint of undertakers. which fits bc catholic. and sanson. as in the executioner. for a character heavil #inspired by the nasuverse's church executioners like kirei and ciel #rosette comes from the rosette nebula which looks like a skull. hayden is from one of my kids at work who said that next time i wrote a #murderer into something i had to name them after her so. here you go hayden. you get to be the cannibalistic child. not sure how the new version of the show might have changed this but like. OG Ben 10 grandpa max was a Canon monsterfucker and I think that's beautiful. canonically had kids with an alien. good for him frfr

(yes before y'all say anything the monsters were as close to being just hot women as could be but it's a cartoon from 2005. canon monsterfucker)
