— counterpart gender
[pt: counterpart gender /end pt]
the pofsi version of posic's companion genders. essentially, it is a gender that is felt by a fictional character. any counterpart gender flags should only be used by these characters. this character is usually a p/o, but they don't have to be one.
template below the cut!
coined by us!
we do not consent to our creations being added to any wikipedia sites or reposted to other social media sites. anyone may use our terms and flags.
; tagging . . @radiomogai; @noxwithoutstars; @daybreakthing; @flutteringwings-coining; @rwuffles; @scr-ppup; @smilepilled; @the-astropaws; @somniabyte; @icwdtea
youre not *forced* to use this template for any counterpart genders, just like how companion genders dont have a flag template. its here just in case, though i encourage your creativity.
image description template: a flag with seven stripes. the colors, from top to bottom, are [x]. the top and bottom stripes have even-sized bumps running along them, pointing towards the middle stripe. in the middle of the flag, there is a star, colored in [x]. it is outlined once thinly in [x], and again thickly in [x].

reading a book rn called "the other olympians" and lemme tell you, i knew that women's sport was segregated because of misogyny and i knew there was always a fear of women being "too masculine" by participating in sports and that this was wrapped up in intersexism and racism but. the extent. to which this was embedded from the olympics earliest days (that is, utterly and completely).
trust that the issue has never been and never will be a trans woman who's good at swimming, or shotput, or running, or anything else, she's a handy dandy scapegoat. it's always been about diminishing women's capabilities and access by denying women who are too good at sport the right to be a woman in the first place. because a woman who is too good at anything has lost the right to be a woman. and by that i mean she's lost the right to be a human being.
#which is ofc what happens to trans women and intersex women and women of colour. god forbid you're all three#and im still getting to the part about trans men (some of whom may also have been intersex)#at the end of the day it's a declaration of who is and who isn't allowed to participate in humanity#and the olympics has had a big hand in that since the beginning of the 20th century#1920s shaping our current day politics about gender once again? shocking#anyway one of the wackier ideas was that women doing too much sport would literally spontaneously change sex#the book didn't say what the counterpart of that might be... needlepoint causing an influx of estrogen? who knows#the other olympians#history#queer history#trans history#intersex history#womens history#the first women to be speculated about were intersex women women of colour and trans men.#i wonder if this will write about dora ratjen as well tho#it's building to the berlin olympics in 36 so probably

me when a female character I like gets labelled a mom for the 17th time
#being a hater#we should have more dads in here. more non female “moms”. less female moms#its 2024 and we preach gender diversity and then we go and label another woman a mom. or a very mom/caretaker-adjacent role#maybe a woman can have good and nice friendships. Maybe a woman can be the oldest of her friend group without being a “mom”#older sister assignments are thrown around less thank god but those also tend to peeve me. Why so many older sisters and moms#maybe being a mom or mom adjacent role shouldnt be treated like an honor or aspect of utmost care/femininity/whatever so often#idk idk reinforcing old and tired gender tropes when done in excess especially when the fem characters are few#and compared to the male counterparts#blabber

I saw this while doing my speedrun and went👀 M!Bobby Marks wears makeup on the regular? How have I not seen this😭👌🏾

I need to know what he uses. Mascara? Eyeliner? Eyeshadow? Full face!?👀👀
#there are points in the books (especially in book 1 in my opinion) where characters who are supposedly exactly#will do things that their counterpart does or doesn't so that they still conform to gender norms#so I was not expecting m!bobby to wear make up#regularly#and flawlessly apparently👀👀#I'm here for every bit of it#I need to see m!bobby art with him in eyeliner and eyeshadow that make his eye colour pop#thinking up a scene of zuri or bobby helping each other with their make up and having an itty bitty ✨️moment✨️#it will not be that one photo with the two girls on the bed that is for zuri and farah... or morgan#but it will be an itty bitty moment#twc#the wayhaven chronicles#bobby marks

random take i need to share somewhere, but if you get mad at people for using sysmed because you see it as transphobic but also willingly choose to use the phrase "endo critical" even though it mirrors the transphobic idea of being "gender critical" i think that says a lot.
#maybe we can accept the terms mean something different than their counterparts in relation to a different community#i dont think being a sysmed makes you a transmed or being endo critical makes you gender critical or smth#but if you conflate the first but use the second then i have questions!#syscourse

This one goes out to
transfems named Alice, Jessica, Lily, or Emily
transmascs named Kai, Noah, Tyler, or Elliot
any trans person named Alex, Sam, Aiden, Charlie, Riley or
any trans person who ended up with a common trans name, knowingly or not.
You're valid and clearly have amazing taste: These names are popular for a reason! Your name isn't like a username! They don't have to all be unique! You don't have to pick the specialest name and set yourself apart from every other trans person to be valid!!
All that matters is that the name feels right for you.
You've chosen perfectly. Keep it up!
#ramble#trans#transgender#queer#lgbtq#crimes against the gender convention#trans positivity#trans names#im one of the above#felt a bit insecure about it at first#also because almost all of these have some sort of pop culture counterpart#and if anyone ever asks if i named myself after the supernatural guy i will have no choice but to detransition#pissing on the poor clarification: theres nothing wrong with having the most specialest name either. call yourself ebony dementia dark rave#as long as it makes you happy thats all that matters#been doing too many grimdark politics posts#we gotta have some happy stuff in here too#maybe i should go reblog a few cats

interesting to note that mark's superhero name is for the most part actually accurate in the comics. the only people who've beaten him in combat so far are omni-man (makes sense wrt to in-universe powerscaling, plus the point of that fight was that mark would defeat his father ideologically rather than physically) and battle beast (explicitly meant to be an outlier), meanwhile show! mark gets his shit rocked in mid-tier fights every other episode. I don't have a working theory for why this specific change was made in the reboot yet but I'm open to suggestions

#bolo liveblogs#invincible#okay I lied I DO have some ideas and I think it's a change that reflects invincible (2021)'s increased focus on character drama#show! mark is put under more emotional strain than his comics! counterpart with every plot beat and well#having him lose fights is a good way to do that.#I also think it might be related to differences in gender politics between the comics and the cartoon but I'm less confident about that.#just a vibe I get

I think Fuuta should cry. It's good for the soul.
I love how getting asks from you is like
I don't quite know if this was good for his soul, but it certainly was for mine 😅 A bit of a hurt-no-comfort piece, sorry, but I enjoyed a character study of his thoughts immediately after his crime. He has a very particular mix of guilt and denial, and I tried to picture how that may play out in this moment...
Fuuta was sure his life was over the very same moment that he discovered hers was.
His heart seemed to stop entirely when he read her name on the dim little screen. His breathing became shallow and sporadic. His body went cold. Though under the blanket, his arms shivered uncontrollably. The rest of him was just as paralyzed.
It was more than just the physical things. This life that he’d led to this point, it was over. He’d never be able to move on from this. Would he ever manage to sleep another night? All his friends knew; they wouldn’t be his friends any longer. He was surprised no one had messaged him yet. His father could forget any dreams of his son following in his footsteps. Any normal job was out of the question, now. The minute anyone found out, they’d treat him differently. They’d treat him like a – he could hardly even think the word “killer.”
A sob broke through his gritted teeth.
That’s what he’d be classified as, wouldn’t he? That girl was dead because of him.
She was dead. Because of him.
Fuuta was still wrapping his mind around reality. A whole person, a whole life, a whole future, gone because of him.
His breath came out wheezy, hiccups shaking his form. He curled himself as small as he could shrink, his hands tearing at his hair.
The girl’s face flashed in his mind. The only pictures he’d seen of her featured bright smiles. He used to find it infuriating – thinking it was all a part of her fake persona, her mockery of justice. Now, the thought of those happy pictures crushed him. She was just a kid. What kind of monster killed a kid?
Fuuta pressed his knuckles to his lips, smothering his cries. The dorms were loud enough tonight, but he couldn’t risk anyone hearing. A story like this could never get out. After all, what were the laws around this stuff? What if he went to prison? He was of age – which areas still used the death penalty?
No.
He had to collect himself. He hadn’t done anything illegal. He was just overreacting, blubbering like an idiot. That was one thing his father was always right about, at least. Fuuta beat his fists against his head. There was no premeditation. No planning, no ill intent. He’d only just found out she died. That’s why none of his friends had messaged him yet. It wasn’t because of them. It was just some other crazy person online.
His chest shuddered with an uneven breath. Even if there were no legal consequences, he’d need to get a grip and take some precautions. He ran his palms down his cheeks, wiping away the mess of tears.
He’d clear out all traces of himself on the internet, delete all those posts that led back to him. He’d smash his phone, call it an accident. Change his number. He didn’t know what he’d do about his friends. He wanted to call them and tell them to delete everything as well. He wanted to scream viciously at them for convincing him to do all this. He wanted to beg them to say everything was going to be okay.
He shut off the phone, fumbling around with the touchscreen several times before he hit the right thing. He couldn’t call anyone. He was on his own now. And that was alright. Whatever happened to that girl, he… That girl…
He commanded himself to rise and begin.
It proved unsuccessful. Fuuta remained frozen for another few minutes. The harder he willed himself to stop, the harder he cried. He pressed his palm over his mouth and nose, in an attempt to prevent any sound from escaping, and keep his emotions quiet for the first time in his life.
#milgram#fuuta kajiyama#its a bit of a downer but i am posting a more hopeful counterpart with this to hopefully make up for it lol#it took forever of arranging/rearranging his train of thought and im happy with how that flows now#but i still always find it a challenge to write crying so i hope this came out alright#i tried to envision those specific cry-breaths arthur lounsbery did in baptism of fire but didnt know how to articulate that sound other#than 'he cried'... so just picture that along with me 👍#my guy who is very emotional and sensitive and would feel (rightfully) responsible#while also living life crushed under gender expectations from his father - friends - and himself#it would not mix well#😔#drabbles

We know that male Imre wants to make the mc his cum bucket but what about female Imre kinks?
Y’all have to come up with this yourselves 😭😭😭
The thing is I took time to come up with all of male Imre’s shit. I dgaf about female Imre enough to think about it long enough 😭😭😭
I would only seriously think about it if I ever plan on doing a fem!imre dlc but if that ever happens it’d be months
The only thing I can quickly think of is that she’d be dominant but not so rigid it in it as normal Imre
#ya’ll will have to write your own fics#I already think too much about Imre to think about his female counterpart#gender flipping ROs#we wretched creatures

Why does the gender wiki have entries for a bajillion hyperspecific micro-identities and nonbinary woman but not one for nonbinary man?
#this is not me hating on micro-identities BTW this is me wondering how a much more common gender identity got entirely skipped#the nonbinary woman entry even mentions its counterpart is nonbinary man but there's no entry for it#??????

I had and still probably have a thought of a male version of my persona Queen Fairy so I drew him and oh my gosh he's so much cuter than I thought!!! AHHHH!!!!
Meet King Fairy everyone!
he's got that same cute outfit style like Queen Fairy but with special designs:
well for instance the shirt is blue giving it the sky vibe while Queen Fairy's got the night sky vibe.
His sleeves has a little darkish tone of rainbow, supposedly to give the nostalgic effect, meanwhile Queen Fairy's rainbow sleeves are bright.
The animal symbol at the centre of King Fairy's Shirt is a Puppy while Queen Fairy's animal symbol is a Kitten
The only similarity is that they both have the same Kawaiii energy!
I hope you guys like him and stay safe and kawaiii!!!
Bye ^w^
