I find it interesting that Oisin's snarky, kick her while she's down comment to Adaine was to say that she's not a very good diviner when Aelwyn, even at her most villainous, was so sure that Adaine was the greatest diviner alive that she was comfortable staking the entire evil plan on Adaine stealing that book. Aelwyn was a total bitch to Adaine but she never underestimated her.

I was re-watching A Crown of Candy and noticed something (spoilers):
In Episode 3, when Ruby is inside the carriage after the ambush, she casts Prestidigitation to clean the blood off her flyer. Calroy Cruller reaches in and grabs her hand to interrupt the cast. Brennan described it as "swashbuckler dexterity" that allowed him to do that.
Rogues don't have an ability to react to spell casts like that. Swashbuckler subclasses don't either.
You know what grants that ability? The Mage Slayer feat:
When a creature within 5 feet of you casts a spell, you can use your reaction to make a melee weapon attack against that creature.
Brennan threw a red flag out there so early. Holy shit.

Colress's Porygon
hc Colress was a normal type specialist before he decides to specialize in steel type pokemon. Normal type is the most versatile and most common pokemon, they're also mostly mammals so it's easier to bond with them.
He might've studied pokemon and raised them the traditional ways before he got too busy with his research and doesn't have time for his team (like feeding them or bonding with them/ how anime portraits trainers taking care of their pokemon...)
he would've had tested his theory in both bonding with his pokemon and experimented on them, this would lend him to wonder which one is more effective in bringing out his pokemon potential. And wherever his way of training his pokemon is as effective as other trainers (he's always eager for pokemon battles, regardless of the outcome, he just want to test his theory...)
if he was purely a steel type specialist from the start, he wouldn't consider pokemon as anything more than test subjects. Since most steel type is genderless and some of them take form of objects like rotoms. He mightve done test on his porygon and made it into porygon-z, it's the only normal pokemon in his old team that he still kept. He used porygon again in Alola, when he has more time to bond with it in-between working for Aether and anything that he does (battle tree?)

man i was getting a bit depressed, I was getting my ass kicked by this yugioh game's Tag Duel challenges because the choice of partners is extremely limited, and I didn't want to move away from my main two decks I used throught the game to make a completely new deck that would mash well with my one of the available partners
but i actually managed to find some really good options now >:D and have been able to kinda consistently beat some of the harder combos like yusei+jack and sherry+elsworth, and quite a few of the CPU free matches
i haven't found a good partner for turbo tags yet (considering yusei since he has a pretty good combo of a Tuner centered deck with control options), but regular tags have some really cool options

Boomerang-like beams of light: Research makes progress toward observing quantum backflow in two dimensions
"Researchers at the University of Warsaw's Faculty of Physics have superposed two light beams twisted in the clockwise direction to create anti-clockwise twists in the dark regions of the resultant superposition. The results of the research have been published in Optica. This discovery has implications for the study of light-matter interactions and represents a step towards the observation of a peculiar phenomenon known as a quantum backflow.
"Imagine that you are throwing a tennis ball. The ball starts moving forward with positive momentum. If the ball doesn't hit an obstacle, you are unlikely to expect it to suddenly change direction and come back to you like a boomerang," notes Bohnishikha Ghosh, a doctoral student at the University of Warsaw's Faculty of Physics. "When you spin such a ball clockwise, for example, you similarly expect it to keep spinning in the same direction."
However, everything gets complicated when, instead of a ball, we are dealing with particles in quantum mechanics. "In classical mechanics, an object has a known position. Meanwhile, in quantum mechanics and optics, an object can be in the so-called superposition, which means that a given particle can be in two or more positions at the same time," explains Dr. Radek Lapkiewicz, head of the Quantum Imaging Laboratory at the Faculty of Physics, University of Warsaw.
Quantum particles can behave in quite the opposite way to the aforementioned tennis ball—they may have a probability to move backwards or spin in the opposite direction during some periods of time. "Physicists call such a phenomenon backflow," Bohnishikha Ghosh specifies."
