Ugh. Still feeling rough as hell.

Now the cough is accompanied by uncontrollable sneezing. And a headache. But my sore throat as vanished, as has the earache. It's like the pain is on holiday, visiting all the best parts of my body, one at a time.

I'm so grateful that I could work from home today. All I managed to do was a ton of admin that I'd left hanging in the air. But bonus: finished my expenses for the month and finally paid myself back.

Tomorrow, I sadly need to go to the office, but only for the morning. I'm planning on coming home just as soon as my 1pm webinar is done and falling into bed. Thursday is looking quiet so far, too. So I think I can make it to the end of my working week...

The main priority is being well in time for the weekend, after all!

I wish these heart palpitations would stop, it’s been over 2 weeks now of them happening almost nonstop and it’s hard to talk, stand, eat, sleep, fucking /sit/, and I’ve done everything to try to activate the vagus nerve and nothing is working. I have the sneaking suspicion it’s my bisoprolol medication, but I can’t stop taking them unless under medical supervision. That doctors appointment on Monday can’t come soon enough, but I just fucking know they’re gonna come up with some kind of excuse to stick me with something painful so I’m constantly giving myself anxiety over it which isn’t helping at all. If I didn’t know what I have wasn’t fatal I’d swear my heart was gonna stop or something.

I love Maeby but she is terrible at comforting. When I cry she sits at the far end of room and glares at me until I'm done.

B has been feeling a little weird all day. A little shivery, a little tired, a little achey, starting to get sniffly, but overall okay. They don’t feel sick per se, just a little off.

Cut to B having a little movie night with their partner A, who is cradling B’s head in their lap. A is carding softly through their hair as they feel B’s breathing start to grow deeper and slower. They smile and move their fingers down towards B’s eyes, only to brush their forehead and stop. Is it just them, or is B feeling a little warm? They move their hand to B’s cheek, their other cupping the nape of their neck.

“You feeling okay? You feel really warm,” A asked, feeling B roll a little bit in their lap.

B mumbled something before burying their hot face deeper into the blankets and sniffling liquidly.

“Aw honey, let me get you some Tylenol so you can get some rest.”

this day was so insanely itchy and i had fits like this for what felt like every other minute (though i like to think i was better at holding back than that) everyday for a week because my allergies were so bad and my nose was so sensitive…i don’t remember what was setting me off but WOW did it make me sneeze lol

Thinking ab tiny, comforting, caretaking gestures

Caretaker gently touching whumpees thigh under the table, letting them know that their discomfort isn’t being ignored

Caretaker holding onto whumpees bicep, keeping them steady under the guise of a meaningless touch

Caretaker rubbing small circles on whumpees back as they cough or get sick, giving them a bit of comfort through the violence of their illness

Caretaker playing with whumpees sweaty hair, feeling their fever-warm skin and holding them close

Caretaker whispering small words of encouragement, little “shh”s and “it’s okay, it’s okay”s under their breath as whumpee cries, because they just don’t feel well

Whumpee collapsing into caretakers arms as they sob, because they’ve never felt this loved through such small actions

I’m still in a lot of pain and sneezing a lot…

I just wanna sleep but my body won’t let me :(

Looks like I’m gonna have to break into my emergency NyQuil supply… I only use it for emergencies; like only when I’m really sick. Sadly, I’d say this probably counts.
