L'ami @jeancompeyrot m'a envoyé un rosé des Côtes de Provence à déguster. Par souci de perfection j'avais préparé du sel, si ce n'était pas suffisamment salin, du citron si ça manquait de pep et des bâtons de cannelle si ça manquait d'épices. Mais j'ai rien eu à corriger. Meaty, briary, grassy nose, thick with peat and salt air, it churns with both spritely vigor and massive strawberry rhubarb fruit, round and full, voluptuous matchhead laying down a solid streak of terroir throughout. What a difference after drinking Paso rosé today! course, I'm drinking this at 57°F and a wine of this structure comes off more like Chablis than what people typically dismiss as "merely rosé". I had the chance to taste it before bottling, which allows me to understand the rapid evolution of this type of rosé. The Féraud estate deserves to be known because their approach is very interesting. The nose is flattering and greedy with notes of peach and melon In the mouth we find the same notes plus a citrus side. It is a balanced rosé that will be perfect at the table. Like all sulphite-free wines and it is even more true for rosé, it must really be stored away from heat and light. J'avais eu la chance de le goûter avant la mise en bouteille ce qui permet de pouvoir comprendre l'évolution rapide de ce type de rosé. Le domaine des Féraud gagne à être connu car leur démarche est très intéressante. Le nez est flatteur et gourmand avec des notes de pêche et de melon En bouche on retrouve les mêmes notes plus un côté agrume. C'est un rosé équilibré qui sera parfait à table. Comme tout vins sans sulfites et c'est encore plus vrai pour le rosé, il faut vraiment le conserver à l'abri de la chaleur et de la lumière. I was on the fence about which wine to drink, but decided it's a good day to rosé! I was sent a sample of the Vanderpump Rosé ( $18.99) and decided it was time to open it up.  I didn't know what to expect from the wine. I had high hopes since it's from Provence. It would be hard to mess it up! Also.. Lisa Vanderpump has been in hospitality for awhile. She and her husband have owned 28 bars and restaurants so sister girl should know how to bottle a good  rosé ! 💃🏾 If you look... some people love this rosé and others say it's trash.  It's only been around since 2017. In the interest of keeping it real, the bottle I have is from the 2018 vintage, it seems like the earlier vintage was  "meh" and the wine continues to get better. The bottle I have is pretty good. It's got Provence written all over it, which I love! The label is lovely and good on the nose as it hits with citrus and berries. On the palate is brings home strawberries, peaches, and a hint of summer flowers. I say it's worth your time...check the year on the bottle.  I dig the wine and will be pairing with burgers!
