2019 vs. 2008. Would you believe that this was one of my very first complete costumes???? Back 11 years ago, before cosplay was really a thing, before I knew about SDCC, there were ren faires. This is definitely not the most gorgeously made, or finished. But it still fits and it has held up after all these years. Just goes to show what putting hard work into a costume can do. ... Plus a brown wig that actually looks a lot like my natural hair color, a flower crown and added belts. What’s the difference between these two photos? I got my new binder today. It's strapless for my Georgi cosplay because I forgot until Sunday that since it shows my shoulders and upper back I can't wear my regular one. It does alright considering what it has to work against. Not as flat as some of my others but still good. Depois X Antes 2018 X 2014 Fiquei muito orgulhosa no upgrade que dei no meu cosplay da Princesa Peach. As diferenças são sutis, mas já me deixou muito orgulhosa. Progression of Snow White over the years ❤️🍎 2014 - plastic boned bodice I instantly regretted going cheaply on. The plastic warped after the first wearing and the collar was itchy and wouldn't stand up even after lots of hard work. 2017 top - unstyled wig right out of the bag. And I made the new bodice in about 3 days before this photographer meet up at heritage Park. 2017 bottom - styled wig and I added a crapton of hand beading and embellishments to enter into the LA comic Con costume championship. And it paid off as I won 2nd place in the master category 🌟 2018 - look at the additional beading on the chest. Also added more petticoats under the skirt.... But this photo you can't really tell. All in all Snow was an amazing journey and I am still so very with how she looks and hope to get a few more wears out of her. --- Photgraphers tagged in image. Jumping on the #beforeandafter cosplay bandwagon! I can tell you right now, costume and skill wise, I haven't improved much. I have a terrible habit of rushing and taking the easy way out of making my costumes. Sometimes it results to them falling apart after awhile (examples: Mileena, Rouge, Dark Magician Girl, etc) I am also terrible and styling wigs XD But cosplay has definitely helped with my overall confidence and happiness. Just by looking at the 2010 photo, my smile is forced and my posture isn't that great. I had no idea what I was doing. But I'm glad I stuck with this hobby, because it's probably the best thing to ever happen to me! I'm definitely not at the level I want to be, but I don't care if it'll take me another 7 years, cause I'll be cosplaying for a long time! Always keep going with it, and the more you do it, the better you'll get. And that can go for anything! Not just cosplay!
