Received 2 new @behringer Eurorack modules ! The 1027 Sequencer and 1036 Sample & Hold , these are the remakes of the Arp 2500! I am waiting for other modules as well to complete this row , I'll maybe even add one more row to this, if I can still fit the Behringer 2600 which I am waiting for. I wanted to have some Arp 2500 modules to use with the 2600. Yesterday was the 99th Anniversary of the release of #NOSFERATU !!!! Release date: March 4th, 1922 Director: #FWMurnau . This was one of the first #horrormovies to make an impression on me as a kid. Every Saturday morning I would watch #ShockTheater that was hosted by #TolouseNoNeck I LOVED that show! They aired edited horror movies. Mostly B or C grade. But sometimes they had gems like #NOSFERATU ! . Scroll through and you'll see various pieces where I drew #CountOrlok! . This print was done for my solo show #ScreamWithMe at @GalerieF back in 2014. I did a regular and variant. They both #glowinthedark. I guess that style inspired some folks to make millions...grumblegrumble. . Like a good hustler - I repurposed the art for an #embroideredpatch . In 2016 this became an #enamelpin collab with @YESTERDAYS.CO . They're long sold out. I hope to bring these back! The good folks at #YESTERDAYS even got a photo of @benfransham #Petyr from #WhatWeDointheShadows holding the pin! That made my year!!! THANKS @YESTERDAYS.CO !!! . I also drew him up as a piece of #tattooflash. When the world unfucks itself I'll start tattooing again! . Then, in 2019, I got hired by @KirkHammett @fearfestevil to design a poster for his other band #TheWeddingBand They played a private show at @cosmomusic and for his traveling exhibit #ROMITSALIVE at @romtoronto We both dig NOSFERATU and the original Spanish movie poster was a prized possession in the collection. The idea I presented to him was that Nosferatu was looming over the @romtoronto #RoyalOntarioMuseum - as if finally awakened after hundreds of years of sleep. And since the ROM has a well-known exhibit on bats I thought it would be cool to have vampire bat's escaping - ready to wreak havoc and do thy master's bidding. . In 2020 I collab'd with @UVDToys to produce the image as a keychain for the 2020 conventions...that got canceled. Ah well. At least we'll be releasing the #GHOSTBONER toy SOON!!! . I hope to do more with the character in 2021!!! . . **I have some of these pieces available in my shop. #Straturday #guitarshopping flashback to late 2019 and a beautiful paisley #Relic #Strat spotted at @cosmomusic near #Toronto, Canada. . It has now been nearly 4 months since I last visited a #guitarshop. That is by far the longest I have gone sans shopping since I started collecting #guitars 10 years ago! For someone who used to head out almost every weekend to the local shops and merrily snap away, this is tantamount to a hard-core addict going cold turkey! Ok, maybe that was a bit of an exaggeration, but it was a huge part of my social and photographic life until the pandemic! Yes, my life is fairly monotonous. Thank you for that shrewd observation! 😆 . I know some shops are starting to open back up now, albeit with the necessary social distancing precautions in place. It's still a bit early for me to venture back out though, as there are vulnerable people in my family and as much as I "need" see cool guitars in the wild again...I REALLY need to keep my family safe from exposure. New Synth Day ! I got the Cat 🐈 now! Still waiting for the 2600, I will use the @behringer Cat in one of my music school projects, decided to get this since it has some nice CV inputs & outputs to integrate with my modular. I've ordered a Behringer 2500 module also, could probably have bought another 2600 and end up with 2 lol, decided to be patient and wait for the one I've ordered last month. Happy to FINALLY post this and make available in my shop! . Here's the first print collaboration - #NOSFERATU. This was created specifically for Kirk's side project - #TheWeddingBand . Which consists of @METALLICA guitarist @KirkHammett @fearfestevil and bassist @robtrujillo , #UglyKidJoe singer @whitfieldcrane , ex #QueensoftheStoneAge #Danzig drummer @theejoeyc and guitarist @doccoyle of #BadWolves (ex #GodForbid). . They played a private show at @cosmomusic in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada, on July 26, 2019. The only way you could get a copy of this poster was if you were at the show (or for a million dollars on ebay). . It wasn't difficult to get this idea approved. Kirk is a big fan of Nosferatu and so am I. I've done a few pieces already with that character. So it was fun to take it further on this print. . The idea I presented to him was that Nosferatu was looming over the @romtoronto #RoyalOntarioMuseum - as if finally awakened after hundreds of years of sleep.
