i'm finding it hard to fall asleep right now, and i've got an early morning tomorrow. got any interesting stories to tell?
âď¸ â c.
Ah, greetings, Cris. Welcome to the blog--I thought I had caught a glimpse of it while wandering about the website a bit in my down time, and sure enough, here you are. So, you have come to me to hear a tale or two. In my time as a self-proclaimed cosmonaut, and more recently a bearer of the spider-man moniker, I have plenty. Though, for the sake of time, I shall tell you just one.
There was a time before I had access to possibly two of the greatest feats of human invention--Voyagers 1 and 2--that my discernable scope of the cosmos were quite limited. I was unable to chart a course through the vast void of space like I do now and essentially just wandered endlessly, like a child stumbling in the dark. So, I was hard-pressed to find any meaningful data with such a total lack of direction, the few discoveries I did make being out of sheer luck. A certain star would be one such discovery.
Wolf Rayet-140. A binary star set nearly 5,000 light years out from where we sit in the center of our galaxy that is best known for its many rings of cosmic space dust, rich in oxygen, nitrogen, and silicone. It is a notable example of the production of space dust, believed to be one of the many ways such a phenomenon occurs in the first place. At the time which we see it from our humble abode, the star was in the midst of death. After it is done expelling its mass in the form of these rings, it will collapse. Do you know what happens when a star collapses?
It creates life... Or, well, perhaps that is an exaggeration. The dust expelled in the final flash of a star, in its dying moments, contain the essential building blocks of life. The very elements that allowed us to accidentally spring into existence billions of years ago emerged from one of these nebulas. As they say, we--you all--are made of star-stuff. I was fortunate enough to witness the creation of one such nebula. Again, as we see WR-140, we see a mere afterimage of the beginning of its eventual blooming into a supernova. From where I saw it, from several light years close, as I floated in that all-consuming expanse, there was a great flash of light, of an intensity indescribable to mortals. The heat was intense. Perhaps unpleasant for all but a brief moment before I found myself in the presence of an exponentially, more blindingly bright, white dwarf. Do you have any idea how bright that sort of celestial body is? How small yet wonderous in adverse proportion? No living man has had such the privilege to float within such proximity to such a cosmic wonder. It was breathtaking. It is one of my fondest memories from my earliest travels. I would like to witness something like it again someday. My, that was longer than I had hoped. I pray I didn't bore you to death with my space-ramble. Hopefully if provided you with adequate reading material to fall asleep to. I kindly thank you, if you read this far.

đ -Â Write a flowery description about an aspect of your OC: appearance, personality, past experiences, etc.Â
Hey friend, thanks for stopping by! (From this cosmic OC ask game)
đ -Â Write a flowery description about an aspect of your OC: appearance, personality, past experiences, etc.Â
Look at you, always asking me to answer the hard questions lol. I'm not a flowery person when it comes to descriptions so let the record show that I will be cringing the entire time.
It's ok I got this (no I don't this will be the worst thing I've ever written). Let's do Gwen.
She had long dark hair that flowed down to her mid-back, braided together so elegant and perfect like a chocolatier who'd perfected their craft. Her bangs fluffed over her browline, just above her delicate frames around her chestnut-colored eyes. Her soft, light brown skin radiated a certain glow to it in the sunlight, and as she'd tied her baggy sweater around her waist, she revealed a strong collarbone and a figure that alluded to her morning runs.
Man, I hated that. I choose to believe Akash was forced to do this for a school assignment or something. I hope I never write a food-themed simile again.
But you know what? Good challenge. Thanks for the ask :)

One of my pet peeves is despite being a place mentioned and beloved in many stories, I SEE NOTHING ABOUT OUTERTALE?!?!? One of the prettiest, influential aus and I find absolutely nothing about it outside of it being âthe multiverseâs favorite auâ. Whereâs the monsters whoâve seen the expanding cosmic wonders we humans could only dream of, sitting and dreaming of us. Intercepting our messages, fawning over the sounds of children, dancing to songs they can only hope to replicate, imagining our oceans, our mountains. While we dream of stars, they dream of rich earth and dry desert, of rain clouds and storms, of cityscapes towering over the land to villages born and built by generations of humans. We Humans that dream of the everlasting expanse of nebulas, and the Monsters that love our little blue dot and all that live on it. Hcgncghh Sorry about rambling I just love the idea of Outertale and Iâm just disappointed that it becomes a tourist destination in most stories.
YOUR ABSOLUTELY RIGHT THO!!! Genuinely I have not seen Outertale be the main focus for any fanfiction, it's always jsut mentioned and why????? it's so cool! Honestly I can't even find much canon informaton on Outertale.
I feel like it's like a beloved neighbourhood cat you have to go looking for if you want to catch a glimpse of it.

Everyone thank @heyyallitssatan for rambling in my tags about Sea Witch!Virgil/Pirate Prince!Remus/Serpentine Siren!Janus and inspiring me. This one is the meeting between Virgil and Remus
(The Janus encounter is two parts and has a fade-to-black scene. So I'll have to figure out a sfw alternative later)
It's Virgil who works the most in blood and fear, shadow and bone. Contrary to popular belief, magic is give and take. If a caster isn't careful, their body will be spent and consumed by the forces they ask of. Remus had come to him when caster and captain alike were just children, unable to be employed at the docks. Had come and said âI want to be someone feared.â Virgil had laughed, hummed to himself. Though still coming into his powers, the magic that flowed through his veins like rushing water, that spider-webbed in his mind's eye and bloomed from his palms as he made offerings, given up any normal life to be a piece of the gods will, he was powerful. All sorts came to the places he haunted, asking glory, power, money, love. âYou dare laugh at me?â A voice of days long passed had said. Virgil had shaken his head, had already seen. âYou're mistaken, prince of nothing, you are already feared. The gods say so, the fear of you is why you are not in a stone castle. Why you are not learning to lead,â his young wisdom had said, âno. Ask of me something else, lonely prince lost at sea.â âI don't know,â said the prince of nothing, loner of the seas. Virgil had smiled and tittered and shaken his head, the spirits and gods amused by the boy. His mouth had been willingly surrendered when the energies knocked on his skull, tapped on his tongue. It speaks like the ocean, in and out with lapping waves and sea foam. âYou are the prince of nothing, prince of lost. You are feared for your power, unknowing as you may be. No kingdom to call your own, you come and go as you please. Ask what you seek, child, not what you need.â There's a pause as the energy drips from his mouth, rolling out and off his tongue as thick globs in a nebula of colors. It sizzles when it lands on the floor and boils into nothing, leaving only a faint stain behind. All magic is transactional, the sludge that drips from his mouth after entities speak through him is the byproduct of the energy they used. Had the entity not left it would have been used up in its entirety. The prince of nothing does not look horrified at the sight, proof that the witch truly is a mouthpiece of cosmic forces. Instead he becomes excited, brimming with energy. Gazes upon the witch as if he'd just witnessed a miracle, a coming of faith if you will. âRight, I've decided. You will be my first subject, I will be your prince! If I am the prince of nothing, then I shall become the prince of what cannot be tamed!â the boy says with a flourish, reaching his hand out to Virgil's. Even then his eyes sparkled at the declaration. Nobody had requested such a thing from the witch until Remus, how was he not supposed to agree. A mutual benefit. So he'd taken the hand, and the energy of the gods burst forth. Binding them in agreement. Tendrils wrapped around arms, tying them together with abyssal purple and deep sea green. Imprinted into skin. As above, so below. As within, so without. âWhat is your name, prince of what cannot be conquered?â âRemus. And yours, wretched witch of waves?â âThe powers that be call me many names, but my favorite is Virgil.â

you should tell me about your ocs now >:3
HI im so sorry its taken so long to reply to this! i love my ocs so much and wanted to do them justice. my main universe is COSMIC HARMONY and i'll be talking about the SPACE SQUAD, the protagonists :3
ARIA AVASPERO
Aria used to be an astronomy prodigy, working as a teen intern with Bouman Industries, a prolific tech and space exploration company. At the age of 13, scared of her homophobic parents and of the unethical experiments Bouman Industries CEO Claudia Bouman was starting to involve her in, Aria ran away from home. She found herself on the Elpis, a magical and abandoned spaceship. Since then, she's been a space adventurer, flitting between adventures on magical alien planets and trying to return to Earth as little as possible.
Over the course of the story, Aria gains hope magic, which mostly manifests in the form of fluffy golden wings! Her arc is about learning to trust herself. She presents as cocky and confident and reckless, and well she is reckless, but she often feels small and unimportant and hopeless. She's incredibly determined and strong-willed. She's hope. Theme: stars/sun
LONDON CĂO
After Aria runs away, Claudia Bouman needs some more subjects to experiment on, so she adopts a child to be her guinea pig! fucked up! That child is London, who was bounced around between foster homes for his entire life before landing with Claudia. Claudia's experiments on him disconnect him from reality and give him reality-glitching magics, along with mental illnesses, nightmares, and the inability to differentiate between dreams, delusions, and reality. Eventually, London started working on running away and was rescued by Aria, who took him to the Elpis. The two of them have been living there for years now, just the two of them, adventuring together.
London is extremely shy and quiet and reserved around almost everyone. Around his friends, though, he's firey and passionate and a little unhinged. He studies magic as a way to deal with his unwanted powers, and he's the type to break something just to put it back together. theme: black holes
HAYDEN "DEN" EMERSON
At the start of the story, Den is kicked out of their house. She was a closeted autistic trans girl dealing with horrible parents, and when they discovered that she was queer, they kicked her out. Looking for somewhere to go, Den ends up finding the Elpis and joining Aria and London on board. It's a breath of fresh air for Den, who can finally transition and be herself and go on adventures and have friends.
Over the course of the story, Den gains the ability to manipulate light! She's a painter and channels her magic through their paintbrush. They're energetic, cheerful, optimistic to a fault, sometimes denying any negative emotions she feels. She knows how to hide who she is but never wants to do that again, so they're loud and bold and herself. theme: nebulae
VIOLET SOLUCE
Soon after Den joins the crew, they rescue Violet from a magical fire and bring her aboard. Violet was a violin prodigy until her dad burnt down her house four years ago, leaving her the only survivor. She's been surviving on her own since, developing a strong survival instinct and an inability to trust anyone else.
Aboard the Elpis, her relationships with the rest are shaky at first - she is NOT a team player, and London and Aria feel weird about having new roommates - but her arc has her learning to trust other people, and she eventually starts dating Aria. During the story, she develops mortality powers, using music to control life and death, though she's scared of using her powers because she struggles to control the plant growth it causes, and plants are flammable, and- she has terrible pyromania. theme: moon
PLOT
okay this has been so long and rambly BUT. the Space Squad ends up becoming a really solid found family, going on adventures together. They try to leave Earth behind. But Claudia Bouman's dark experiments are starting to affect the rest of the world, and the crew starts realizing it's up to them to stop her and save the universe.
There's so much in my head that I don't have room for here but that's the basic plot! These characters mean so much to me - I've had these four since middle school. And it's a big universe with lots of other characters and ough im going crazy insane. i hope its okay i rambled so much lol ty
also okay for one last little fun fact: the unofficial theme song of cosmic harmony is soaring by patricia taxxon !! these are the vibes i want the world to have :3
#THANK YOU SO MUCH#i hope its okay this is so long#these lil guys mean. the world to me#cosmic harmony#my ocs#space squad#aria#den#london#violet#asks#poltergeisz

Hello mini AU rambling because AAAAAA
So all the ego are basically celestial bodies as in they are weird cosmic being things? (I have no clue if that makes sense but close enough) that are based off a space object like stars, nebulae etc
Iâm going to talk about Anti specifically here because this idea made this AU in the the first place
Heâs a star at one point, specifically a red supergiant. The thing about red supergiants is that they are near the end of a starâs life cycle. Red supergiants explode into supernovas and then either turn into a neutron star or a black hole. Guess which one Anti turns into :)
but yeah Blackhole Anti that consumes any stars and light near him and wanders the cosmos :D

The ask to ramble about Fenrar! Plus some extra questions of my own.
Is his name change a canon thing he goes through or just a change to his overall canon name? If former what made him do so?
What kind of interactions does he have with the revenant legendary echoes? Any big serious talks? Any funny discussions? And with what ones?
Other than those, feel free to ramble all you want about him.
So Fenrar's a bit of a mess, he's overdue for me sitting down and figuring out the details of his story as a lot of them are extremely vague so this is as much of a brainstorm as it is a ramble
He's a Priory researcher and a big ol' nerd with an interest in the Mists and all things Mists-related. Despite his vast knowledge, he's been seen as odd at best within the Priory, with a tendency to overlook everything and everyone in favor of pursuing his own interests, be it not out of any malice but rather sheer, constant insatisfiable curiosity that often led him to put himself and other people in danger, he's the definition of "curiosity killed the cat".
Some years before the start of personal story he led a group of researchers into the Mists to track down and study anomalies and the possibility of travelling through the Mists. That, however, didn't turn out great for Fenrar, as he ended up separated from his group in an accident, falling through an opened portal and finding himself on the literal edge of the mists, a weird amalgamation of different places floating in the void with no clear way out, but despite all odds, Fenrar was fascinated and in awe of the place he found himself in, and he'd wander for a long time, only the odd astral creatures that inhabit the far reaches of the Mists keeping him some sort of a company. As time passed by though, the days all started to blur together, the odd, otherworldly landscape, Fenrar lost track of his travels, but luckily for him, eventually, through a sheer accident, he ended up falling through another portal, finding himself back in Tyria yet feeling... Different. Odd. Like his time in the mists changed his very being. Stuck on the edge between the Mists and Tyria, walking the thin veil that separates the two.
He returned back to the Priory, with all his colleauges being surprised to see him back and alive to say the least, interested in his story and the data he could provide to the research team, something Fenrar avoided under the pretence that he doesn't remember much, settling down and continuing his work, along with discovering and training his new abilities of a revenant.
As for his name, it's not really canon either way, as he's a Lion's Arch charr originally, he's never been a part of a warband or a legion, with Mistwalker being more of a title than anything. As for Starcatcher, I simply thought it'd fit him better nowadays, given his connection to the far reaches of the mists that are just empty, chaotic space inhabited by astral creatures, and that his revenant magic creates not regular mists rifts and white clouds of fog, but rather cosmic-looking portals and swirling, star-filled nebulae clouds due to the nature of his revenant abilities.
Now the legends thing is interesting, because in my initial idea Fenrar only really invokes and communes with one legend, Shiro. The idea is, while travelling through the far reaches of the Mists he'd ran into Shiro's spirit, imprisoned and chained up not unlike Balthazar, asking Fenrar for help in exchange for helping him escape the Mists. Things didn't go quite as planned however, with Fenrar basically dying and the two of them getting smushed together into one body, Fenrar's, throughout the process of falling through multiple chaotic portals before finally finding themselves back in Tyria.
I'm not quite sure if I wanna keep that bit of his lore as to not make his story bloated but I do like his interactions with Shiro and how they deal with being stuck together in the same body, Shiro more or less trapped again after over a century of imprisonment far away in the Mists, and Fenrar having to learn how to coexist with a murderous ancient Canthan ghost in his head.
#I hope it's at least somewhat coherent cuz yeah Fenrar's a MESS#he's one of my oldest characters and it really shows#he's my special self-indulgent babygirl with a batshit history alright gdjdhf#Fenrar

IM BACK FROM BINGING ALL OF INDYS ANIMATICSâ OK So are humans and earth a separate thing from the guardians? Are they connected in any way? Do guardians get their human like personalities and hobbies from humans or is it the other way around?
HOLYBSHIT WAIT REALLY?? LETS GOO OK OK OK
They are a seperate thing, yes!! Guardians arenât mortal while humans are. The Guardians do have a base on Earth, like they do on many other planets and assorted places, for universal quality control. But they donât interact with humans. Normally.
Iâve never considered that before so I donât have a definitive answer! Honestly I think some activities are so ingrained in life that they transcend being restricted to humans only. Like song, dance, cooking, creating art, etc. Iâm sure somewhere Guardians influenced some kind of human development, and humans have certainly influenced the Guardians. Not in huge groundbreaking ways, but in ways like how thereâs a gramophone in Moriâs office and that Mem knows Queen songs. They arenât connected but in a way I think they share! Albeit sometimes without them knowing.
#GOOD QUESTIONS THANK YOU#FUCKIN PSYCHED WHEN I SAW THIS#GOD those are good questions#everything is influenced by everyone in some way#weird cosmic roulette#if that makes any sense#nebula rambles#rosegold

hi tina đ not sure how easy this is, since my astrophysics knowledge is nearing -273 *C, but you could do mutuals as astronomical sights? comets, planets, galaxies etc... sorry if not!! đâ¨
anna! and anon! youâve given me a wonderful chance to ramble about space. you may come to regret it, however...
if iâve forgotten you, please do not take it personally! i didnât mean to. my mind is just but a glorified puddle :)
@archaicmusings â vega
vega is the brightest star in the constellation lyra, and happens to be my favourite star. donât ask me why vega is my favourite star, or why lyra is my favourite constellation, because i havenât got a coherent answer for you. iâve just always been drawn to them. a bit like cal, really. i feel like weâve known each other for far longer than just four months, and sheâs so lovely that iâm fairly sure i could say anything to her and sheâd just accept me for whatever rubbish iâm rambling about this time. and, in the depressing year thatâs been 2020, cal has been a bright star.
@drivenbybri â halleyâs comet
honestly, is there anything more iconic than halleyâs comet? there canât be much. probably the best known comet of all time, halleyâs comet is a short-period comet (and if youâve read starstruck, you know how much i prefer short-period comets to those long-period comets with their damned 200-year perihelions, even if certain people suggest that this makes them quite special), meaning that it is visible from earth every 75-ish years. halleyâs comet last made an appearance in the lovely year of 1986, and will thus appear next in 2061 (iâm so excited for my 59-year-old self!!!). halleyâs comet, though well-known, is still a rare breed, so to speak. it is rare, and extraordinarily beautiful that a comet appears to a human twice within their lifetime. sofie is rare, just like halleyâs comet, and equally beautiful, both in heart and with that lovely curly hair of hers. iâm honoured to know her, just as i shall be honoured to see halleyâs comet one day.
@brianmays-hair â cassiopeia a
cassiopeia a (or rather, the remnant of cassiopeia a) was a supernova within the constellation of cassiopeia. for those of you who do not obsess over interstellar matter the way that i do, supernovae are explosions of massive stars, or white dwarfs drawn to nuclear fusion, within their final stages of life. not much is known about how these explosions necessarily take place, and nasa has only caught on video one such explosion, back in 2016. the most commonly presented image of the remnant of cassiopeia a is a false-colour image, composed with three different wavebands of light. it is, as you can see, very beautiful. supernovae radiate energy and light throughout the cosmos during their existence, and thus having a great effect on the space surrounding them. i therefore liken jess to cassiopeia a because she has a brilliant personality, vibrant and inspiring, which comes across especially in her writing. but of course, the beauty of cassiopeia a has nothing on her.
@deacyblues â sirius
as far as we humans and the scientists among us know, sirius is the brightest star in the observable universe. housed within the constellation of canis major, sirius has always been monumentally important in terms of navigation, since ancient times. i tell pearl this all the time, but truly, i mean it; her outlook on life is inspiring, how she never fails to be positive even in times of great trouble. like sirius, pearl is a light, ever-present within the mindset of living for today, ever-determined, and unfailingly kind.
@joemazzmatazz â black hole
please let me explain before this gets taken the wrong way: I LOVE BLACK HOLES. i specifically want to study black holes, whenever i get the chance to specialise within astrophysics. they fascinate me to no end, with a kind of allure that only the mysterious can hold. furthermore, black holes may be the key to understanding the universe; if we understand black holes, we will be able to make headway on other matter, such as dark matter, and dark energy, the latter of which makes up the majority of the observable universe, and will lead us to astronomical (if youâll pardon the ill-worded expression, and the unintentional pun) conclusions concerning both the beginning of our universe, and the eventual end. regan, just like a black hole, is a wealth of information, especially concerning the knowledge she harbours about disney, and the business management sector of it. itâs quite truly inspirational.
@im-an-adult-ish â the milky way
ah yes, the milky way. home to all of us. and that is the essence of my explanation here. meredith has such a friendly way about her, and sheâs the kind of person you can easily turn to and feel welcomed. a bit like our little corner of the universe <3
@almightygwil â the sun
i think this is probably self-explanatory, if a bit repetitive, but ellie is a ray of sunshine. but perhaps that sells her a little short, because ellie is just so genuinely lovely that she must herself be the sun. her writing talent astounds me (you could say it blinds me, ha ha), and she never fails to be somehow both sweet and very chaotic at the same time. itâs very admirable (and certainly relatable, on the chaotic front). the sun itself, if we think about the surface and the fusion that takes place there, is both the sweetest sight ever seen, and quite chaotic, so i think it fitting that ellie is the sun.
@hijackmy-heart â callisto
callisto is one of jupiterâs moons, and my favourite, because it looks like a piece of the night sky decided to curl up into a ball. i donât know nat too well, but i know that sheâs gorgeous, like callisto, and loves roger taylor. let me explain. jupiter, in roman mythology, is the god of the sky and of thunder. in norse mythology, thor is the equivalent of jupiter, and to me, roger has always had a bit of that typical scandinavian look going, with the blonde hair and blue eyes (not to say that all scandis look like this, but he fits the stereotype :)). nat loves roger, and callisto orbits jupiter, so there you have it.
@six-bloodyminutes â the moon
the moon has a serenity about it, and mo has a knack for telling quite wild things with a most casual air. for instance, according to my sources, when a certain dorm room caught fire (?). mo thus bears this serenity, akin to the serenity i associate with the moon, with equal grace and chaos.
@dancingdiscofloof â pluto
pluto! the not-planet-oh-wait-maybe-itâs-a-planet-jk-jk-unless..? i still think that pluto should be considered a planet, despite the many arguments against the poor sod. pluto was once a planet, and should therefore have remained a planet, for the plain and simple fact that taking away its planethood was like giving a person a present, and then taking it back immediately afterward. anyway. iâm rambling. i also do not know rove very well, but i know that sheâs kind, and, judging by the memes she shares, both of ryan gosling and tom hanks, that she is quirkyâ a bit like our beloved pluto.
@imcompletelylost â aurora borealis/aurora australis
also known as the northern lights/the southern lights, the polar lights, the merry dancers, the fox fires, or swarms of luminous herring (you can thank my ancestors, followers of norse mythology, for that one), the aurora is an astronomical phenomenon precipitated by the complete ring of light surrounding the poles, âwhich at its brightest has a distinctively green tintâ (may, brian, et al. the cosmic tourist. carlton books, 2016.). yes i just made a citation from one of brianâs books. donât worry about it. anyway, particles emitted from our sun are caught by the magnetic fields of earthâs poles, and thus produce this ethereal effect. but you know what the aurora has always reminded me of? disco lights. and libby is noting if not the queen of disco. oh, and, libbyâs makeup talents? the aurora could never.
@aprilaady â butterfly nebula
the butterfly nebula is incredibly beautiful. but also, depending on from which angle it is beheld, it looks quite different. dor will surprise you, in the loveliest way possible (and sometimes the funniest) with a kind word or a joke, or even just a relatable comment. she has so many talents, being rivetingly smart within so many fields, especially the sciences, and in this, conveys multitudes, like the butterfly nebula. one might say her soul is painted like the wings of butterflies...
@doing-albri â solar eclipse
the alignment of the sun, moon, and earth. difficult to see, especially in totality, if you continually live in the same place. but thereâs something magical in that alignment, i think. something quite poetic. itâs partially in the name âeclipseâ and partially in the nicknameâ a âring of fire.â i saw the solar eclipse in august of 2018, and looking up at it, i was quite awestruck. youâre not supposed to stare directly at solar eclipses, because despite the moon overshadowing the sun, you can still damage your eyes significantly by looking at them. vi is so bright, both in her attitude and in her intelligence, and thus iâve chosen the solar eclipse for her. also, when a solar eclipse occurs, using a piece of cardboard with a hole (or generally any thick-radius circular object with an opening), you can recreate the phenomenon on another surface, resulting in beautiful patterns and light-art, which i think speaks to viâs eye for aesthetics.
@imalososos â meteor shower
meteor showers are perhaps some of the most beautiful phenomena i have ever seen. back in the summer of 2016, i stayed up all night to watch the perseids rush across the sky, and i was not disappointed, by any means. within the early hours of the 12th of august, an estimated 80 meteors darted across the heavens each hour. meteors, in essence, are clusters of mineral, usually debris from comets, which enter the atmosphere of a planet, and thus seem to shoot across the sky. now, you may be wondering, whatâs the bloody blooming difference between meteoroids, meteors, and meteorites, and why are we talking about meteors in particular? well, meteoroids are cosmic debris that have not yet entered an atmosphere; as soon as a piece of cosmic debris enters a planetâs atmosphere, it is classified as a meteor. as for meteorites, nothing is a meteorite unless it strikes the ground. anyway. you didnât come here for my science ramblings. meteors are also called âshooting stars,â and letâs be honest, theyâre spaceâs idea of art. streaks of light across the sky? sounds like a painting to me, and darya, among many other things, is an artistâ and a brilliant one, at that. so i think it very fitting to describe her as the art of the universe <3
@mazzell-ro â saturn
i! love! saturn!!! being the only planet in our solar system with highly visible rings, it just stands out to me. itâs absolutely gorgeous, and an object of much inspiration to me, when i was little and decided that space was absolutely something i wanted to see. i could write an eight-verse song about saturn, i love it so much, and honestly, i think ro could write one too; sheâs an excellent musician. but aside from its lovely rings, saturn is unique because its composition, in the ratio of its gases, would allow the planet to float in water. ro is uniquely wonderful, and her writing!!!!!!!! makes me so soft and happy and makes me want to give her the word. quite how i feel when i look up at saturn.
@mistiermistshazierdays â zodiacal light
you may recognise this term as brianâs speciality from when he was studying astrophysics. but what is it? zodiacal light is that strange triangle of light that appears glowing in the sky after twilight and before dawn, and is the subject of much earth-based astrophotography. extraordinarily beautiful, scientists are still not entirely sure what the phenomenon is, but most research and practical experiments are in favour of zodiacal light being sunlight reflected off of cosmic dust (also known as stardust!). now, if my knowledge of ancient greece and its mythology serves me, the name phoebe comes from phoebus, and (thank you google) means âbright.â zodical light⌠bright⌠phoebe⌠you might say itâs a match made in the heavens. quite literally if weâre talking space. phoebe, you kind soul, you are stardust.
@speciallyred â andromeda galaxy
and last, but certainly not least, dear anna. i name thee the andromeda galaxy, partially for your own name, and partially for its poetic beauty. andromeda, the neighbour galaxy of our deal olâ milky way, is actually about 2.5 million lightyears (15 trillion miles, 22.5 trillion km) away from us, here on earth. call me vain for the number of times iâve described the beauty of space throughout this rather extended exposition, but andromeda is startlingly beautiful. one reason for this objective beauty is that andromeda is estimated to be home to roughly double the number of stars within our own galaxy. anna is one of the most talented poets i have ever come across, hands down, and what be the food of poetry, if not the stars?

Hello! I found out how magic worked!
To elaborate, my kintype lives in a world with a lot of magic, and I always wondered how it functioned. After chatting with some sourcemates for a while I realized I know more about it than I thought I did, and I'd like to ramble about it so I have a place to reference from in the future.
Buckle in, this might be long.
So, magic. What's that about? Aside from being an almost needlessly complex foce of the world itself with no true explanation, I find there are some 'rules' to it. If it weren't complex, one wouldn't need to study it for years in a classroom environment after all.
As far as I remember, there were some basic things about magic to keep in mind. One is that whatever specialty you'd end up with came directly from whatever concept or physical thing you draw your energy from. This can be just about anything, if you have enough of a connection to it. It's hard to find people who use the exact same type of magic, but I doubt it'd be impossible.
Two were the classifications. Specifically between Dark, Light, and the in-between. While these can be specialties in of themselves, they're very hard to learn and control like that. Rather, they tend to be utilized in a diluted form as a sort of additive, changing the range of spells one could use. For example, I used a Lighter form of cosmic magic than Klug. My power drew from celestial bodies such as stars, the moon, and comets, while his drew from nebulas and black holes, thus creating different results. Those in the middle had access to both sides to a lesser extreme.
However, if you were intrinsically born to one side or the other due to lineage or something of the sort, it'd be much more of a challenge to unlearn that in favor of the other, which would hypothetically leave your magic with traces of the side you were born with, no matter how hard you tried to erase them.
About puyo, they were essentially physical pockets of magic, filled to the brim with likely more energy than a single person could handle in one sitting if they didn't expel it immediately. Hence where battles come in. Putting more than three together would overwhelm even the puyos themselves, given their tendency to almost fuse together upon contact with one of the same structure (that is, color). The bigger the chain, the more simultaneous puyo popped, the more energy released in a single attack.
Chain chants weren't really all that meaningful. They were mostly just callouts we did for association, to prepare our minds subconsciously for the ensuing rush of power. Or just to sound cool, take your pick.
Of course, there were plenty of spells used out of battle, and the things used to energize ourselves without the use of puyo (as puyo require energy to summon in the first place) is different between people. For some it's directly related to the type of magic they use, for others it isn't. Some spells were higher in difficulty and energy consumption than others. A full-body transformation spell would expend way more energy if it were to succeed (and that's a BIG 'if') than a basic item-summoning spell.
Of course, since the small details of certain spells were so complicated even at lower levels, it tended to be slow learning for even the brightest of students. Because of this, child prodigies in the field of magic specifically were often highly praised and idolized from as young as they started excelling, and tended to rapidly gain widespread fame (probably not the best for them, but that's not something that's under my control).
What a strange world. ^^
#this ended up being far longer than I expected#lemres rambles#fictionkin#alterhuman#otherkin#alterhumanity#i think this would fall under noemata#Since it's more inherent knowledge than straight-up memories#dunno why I remember so much about spells specifically#especially when I can't remember my own outfit#but alright.#lem rambles

Sending hugs always!
âď¸ - From your OCâs perspective, write a short paragraph about their average day.
Please and thank you!
Hello! Thanks for stopping by! (From this cosmic OC ask game)
âď¸ - From your OCâs perspective, write a short paragraph about their average day.Â
I'm gonna do Carla pre-Part One. I only have three chapters in her POV and they're all flashbacks to when she was 7-10, so this will be interesting to write.
Short paragraph? Okay...
My brain usually wakes me up whenever I need to. Always being aware of the time would cause that. I try to get through the morning routine as quickly as possible so I can get to work. I usually turn on Stefanija Lauwers as I get through my school assignments. If I burn out I just daydream until I can work again. I always experience time slowly for that. I panic if I forget. Sometimes my mind wanders too much and time speeds up. I don't even realize it. On my best days, I get to read or write for as long as I want. On my worst days, I just lay on the couch, speeding through the hours until George gets back. Together, we may play a game. He'll talk about his day. We could turn on a movie. Worst days, Nkechi Winship is our go-to actor. I miss...people. More than anything.
Not short but what do you want from me?
Thanks for the tag!

Non Omis Moriar [2]
Fandom: Avengers Pairing: Tony Stark & Son!Reader Summary: Not all of you shall die, so itâs all or none. Word Count: 3,762 A/n: ANGST ANGST, I hope this makes sense plot line. Also, I apologise for like basically writing the plot out again, you get the gist. Part one here!
âThatâs not how time travel works,â You responded dryly.
Your eyes on your new suit as Scott tries to grab your attention, but you give him no consideration. He sighs as he watches you rewire your suit, stats on the screen for you.Â
âIn Layman's terms, it means you're not coming home,â You continued as you sighed, put your tools down and looked at Scott.
âI did.â
âNo, you accidentally survived. It's a billion to one cosmic fluke,â You responded, sighing, âLook, Scott, as much as I want to believe, this whole time heist is laughable, itâs a pipedream.â
âYou have to be optimistic, (Y/n).â
You looked behind Scott and see Bruce, glowering over the two of you at the Avengers base, specifically in your dadâs lab. Bruce smiles at you as you shake your head, scoffing.
âBruce, Iâm not the one to preach about optimism, thatâs Steveâs sort of rodeo but what have you been doing for the past year? Youâve lost to Thanos both times in both forms - look at you.â
âBut, Iâm willing to do something if it means we can save people, I know itâs not you or your thing to save people, but weâre the only people left. Remember what Natasha always says?â
âWhatever it takes.â Sighing, you shake your head, âI canât, Bruce, Iâm sorry.â
Bruce nods, leaving as Scott sends you one last look but as he watches you play with the screens of the stats of your suit - he leaves you be. A year had passed since the snap and all youâve been doing is fixing Avengersâ equipment, updating the little things as you donât have their suit.Â
Isolating yourself.
You made your own suit, the one you and your dad made was hard for you to work on because you made it with your dad. Itâs didnât feel right for you to work on something you and your dad made.
Within the year, youâve been taking medication for sleep too. Nightmares of the time on Titans kept you all night and when youâre sleep deprived the voice and vision of your dad appears. No matter how much you want to see your dad, you were not going insane.
Within the year, the bond between you and Bruce had become strained, you donât call him uncle anymore, not out of malice, but a family doesnât seem complete anymore in your heart.Â
âIâm blaming Strange,â You muttered to yourself.
âSir, youâre talking to yourself again.â
âItâs okay, Fri,â You reassured, smiling to yourself.
Friday has been ultra protective you, she may be an AI but in a sense, she was like your sister as Tony created her. Protecting her big brother from losing himself. Friday lost Tony, Pepper, Rhodey. She was not going to lose you in any circumstances.Â
âHey, Fri?â
âYes?â
âNew project,â You called out as you watched Bruce and Scott figure something out across the building.
Glass walls work wonders, you move your suit to the side and Friday brings up a new slate of holograms for you to mess around.Â
âHey, kid,â You hear your dadâs voice next to you, you could sense him probably leaning against the table to examine what youâre up to, âWhat are you doing?â
âSir, what is this new project?â
You looked off to the distance as you smile to yourself, a mirror across the way. You looked at yourself and the hallucination of your dad next to you, you look too much alike. Same snarky smile of pure happiness and a confident stance.
âThanos knows Stark men, he invaded my dreams since I was a child and corrupted my dadâs mind, if Strange says Iâm needed then Iâll damn well avenge my father.â
âHey,â
You jumped at the sudden voice of your dad in your ear, rubbing your eyes out of sleep as you realised that youâve been sleeping in the lab,
âWhat day is it?â
âYouâve been passed out for two days sir, you fell asleep the moment you sat down, you havenât even started your new project.â
âWay for a dramatic flair,â You commented as the AI buzzed in amusement, âWhatâs going on with shorty and Professor Green?â
âI believe they are ninety per cent in finishing what you have called time-heist.â
You nodded, âIâll start it after I get food.â
When you had returned back to base Bruce and Scott was nowhere to find as you sat down and got to work. You didnât know how long you were in the lab for as you reclined in the chair, groaning, your head hurts.
âBy the looks of Scott and Bruce out there, Scott turned into a baby?â
Friday didnât respond as she pulls up the video of Scott and Bruce wild attempt of time travel, as you chuckle as they were entertaining, you shake your head. your shoulders tensing. Getting back to work into the nightfall.
âLook at a mod inspiration, let me see what check out. So, recommend one last sim before we pack it in for the night. This time, in the shape of a Mobius strip, inverted, please.Â
âProcessing...â
Friday was processing as you wandered around the lab, kicking a soccer ball into the glass walls, you could hear your dad scowling at you for leaving ball prints on the clean glass.
âGive me that eigenvalue. That, particle factoring, and a spectral decomp. Gotta take a second.â
âJust a moment.â
âAnd don't worry if it doesn't pan out. I'm just kinda-â You were interrupted by Friday.
âModel rendered.â
In a complete shock of amazement, the render comes back as successful. You smacked the ball so hard into the glass that it bounced back into your face, but you didnât care because you were too bewildered by this discovery.
âHoly fuckinâ shit,â You breathed, then laughing in joy, opening the door of the lab, âBruce, Scott!â
They peaked out, seeing a stupid grin on your face, Bruce couldnât help but smile. Itâs been a while since you smiled like that, itâs been a while since you got excited over something.
âCall Nebs, weâre doing a time heist...â
âAw hell yeah!â Scott celebrated.
Bruce looks over to you, watching smile to yourself, you glanced up and did a small nod to his way.
âIâll make suits, itâll be the four of us and we need a test run, Scott, youâre up for it?â
âHell yeah, I am,â
âOkay, so the "how" works. Now we gotta figure out the when and the where.â Bruce speaks as he looks at the three remaining people of heroes.
âThatâs easy,â Bruce looks at you with a raised eyebrow, âWith all data collected throughout the almost ten years you guys have been Avengers, it has the location of most Infinity stones.â
You looked at the blank face of the green giant, you scoffed as Bruce shakes his head, âIâm confused.â
âAm I seriously the only one who reads the paperwork after your missions and Iâm not even part of the team, man.â
âWell... You and your dad are very much alike,â Bruce offers weakly as you pulled a face.
âAnyway...â
As you started your rambling with Bruce trying to write everything down despite Friday recalling your words and putting on the hologram, two stones were talked about by Nebula, after a short silence of awkwardness as she mentions that her sister was murdered by their dad, Thanos. You, Nebula, Bruce and Scott examine the screens.
The holograms displaying the different location, the Soul and Power stones in space in 2014. the Reality stone in Asgard, 2013; and the Space, Mind, and Time stones in New York City 2012.
âBruce, Scott, you two will go to New York City, Nebula and I will go to Asgard and space,â You initiated s they all nodded.
You never thought you would come to a point that you were a leader, in fact, you hated taking responsibility, you hated leading stuff and people looking up to you for direction - it was too much greatness upon your shoulders in your eyes.
âDonât fuck it up,â You narrowed your eyes, âI mean it-â
âYes, sir-â Scott says as you looked at him weirdly, âI mean, Mr Stark, er, no, (Y/n).â
As you suit up, you stare at the old suit that you built with your dad, packing it up into a compressed case and held it together on the transporter. Nebula and Scott give you funny looks but you decided to ignore it.Â
âAlright, simple in and out mission,â you called out one last time, âWhatever it takes.â
âYou know, to obtain the soul stone you have to sacrifice something, Nebula came back with you,â Bruce says as you looked at him annoyed as you tried to assemble a gauntlet.
âThe suit, dad and I made together,â You responded, you shoulders deflating, âTechnically, itâs last thing I have of him, not the lab, not his tools, not even Friday. Scrap metal of memories left of my dad. I have nothing left of him. I need my dad back, even if itâs the last thing I do.â
Bruce nods, âCarol hasnât responded to your messages.â
âItâs fine, Iâve been updating her anyway,â
âYou talk to her?â
âSheâs a good listener,â You shrugged your shoulder, âEven if Iâm talking to her through a hologram. Now, uncle Bruce, silence would be nice.â
Bruce opened his mouth before shutting it closed when you give him a pointed look, you cast your eyes towards the gauntlet again as you picked up the stones gently. With nervous precision, you manipulate the machine and carefully places all six stones into the gauntlet.
âAlright, the glove is ready, the question is who will wear it and bring everyone back?â Bring the iron man like gauntlet out to show to Scott and Bruce, âWhereâs Nebula?â
âToilet?â
âAndroids can go to the toilet?â You asked Scott, tilting your head at the man who answered your question.
âItâs 2019 man, anything is possible.â
You gave it some consideration as you agreed as you looked at the two men, you placed the gauntlet down on the table to suit up for any accident, your new suit is something youâve been working on a few months, full of your ideas and ideas that you found from your dadâs blueprints of your old suit.Â
âIâll do it,â Bruce calls out as Scott and you looked up at the half man half hulk, âBut the radiation's mostly gamma,â He takes a good look at the gauntlet, âIt's like...uh...I was made for this.â
You nod as you helped Bruce place the gauntlet on, watching the metal adjust to the size of his big hand. Scott and you took a few steps back as Bruce lets out a shaky breath.
âYou remember... everyone Thanos snapped away a year ago and just bringing them back to now, today. Don't change anything from the last year.â
âGot it.â
âHey, Friday, do me a favour and activate dadâs Protocol 8,â You called out as the facility goes down into lockdown.
You bring your mask down of your metal suit as you watch Scott do the same thing. Bruce starts to bring his thoughts into what he wants, electricity running through, Bruce was grunting in pain. You wince to see him in pain.
âUncle Bruce?â
âIâm good!â Bruce managed to spit out, âIâm okay!â
Bruce screams, fighting through the intense pain coursing through his body courtesy of the gauntlet, and manages to snap his fingers. He faints and the gauntlet slides off his arm. You kick the gauntlet away as you and Scott looked over the giant.
âBrucie?â You asked, your mask coming down as you cooled down his burnt arm.
âDid I do it?â
Scott looks outside, it was brighter and birds were chirping, Bruce managed to open his eyes and see your smiling face.
âThe grass is always greener on the other side,â You say as Scott laughs, looking relieved.
You looked over to Scott with a smile, hoping youâve completed what you wanted to do, hoping you have your dad back as you looked back at Banner, a smile had fallen off his lips. Looking up the skyline and seeing the Sanctuary II up in the sky and a single missile heading towards the base blowing away Scott away. Then a continuous array of missiles destroys the base completely.
âSir?â
You groaned at the voice of Friday, you get up to your feet and see Thanos sitting by. You breathed heavily, your suit covered in ash and dirt.
âBruce, Scott?â You called out to your comm, it felt funny for you to be participating in hero action as you were not a hero yourself.
âWe have the gauntlet,â Scott calls out, he sounds drowned out, âWeâre underground but we can make it out.â
âKeep that damn thing away from Thanos,â You growled.
Your suit whirling, tightening. You breathed heavily, it all or nothing. You started to make your way down there, Thanos smirking as he recognised you when he has been invading your dreams as a little boy.
âYou could not live with your own failure. And where did that bring you? Back to me. I thought by eliminating half of life, the other half would thrive. But youâve shown me thatâs impossible. And as long as there are those that remember what was, there will always be those that are unable to accept what can be. They will resist.â
You rolled your eyes at his monologue, âYeah, weâre all types of stubborn.â
âI'm thankful. Because now, I know what I must do.â He stands up, âI will shred this universe down to its last atom. And then...With the stones you've collected for me, create a new one. Teeming with life, but knows not what it has lost but only what it has been given. A grateful universe.â
You put your mask up as he placed his helmet on, âAs long as Iâm alive, Iâll be damned.â
âIâve admired you, (Y/n) Stark, from your pretty little dreams, I find a lot of interesting information about you. You are courageous, I commend you for that. But, unfortunately, as much I would love to keep you around, I canât have you stand in the way.â
âTough.â
You werenât a skilled fighter, but you knew the basic of the Iron Man suits. You were able to hold him back off, and in fact, you were surprising yourself in how well you were fighting a Titan.Â
Smacking you into debris as you stumble to stand up, using energy to blast Thanos before he gives you one last kick to the ground. Spitting blood into your suit as you pant, struggling to get onto your feet.
âIn all my years of conquest...violence...slaughter... It was never personal. But I'll tell you now... what I'm about to do to your stubborn, annoying little planet... I'm gonna enjoy it. Very, very much.âÂ
Thanosâ entire army is summoned to the ground which includes the Children of Thanos, Chitauri, Outriders. Upon seeing the army descending on Earth, you straighten your back with a fierce determination, you allowed your suit to self-repair and stand against Thanos' giant army alone. Suddenly, a crackling comes in on his communicator.
AC/DC blaring in your ear.
âHey, kid!â
You stopped, now is not the time to have a hallucination of your dad.
âKid? You hear me? Sonny boy?â The playful tease of your dad called into your ear. â(Y/n), incoming!â
You pulled down your mask in confusion as you looked around, seeing a yellow portal open up at your left. Three members walk out with two flying above. The original team. Your dad landing on your right with Cap on your left. Natasha on Steveâs left whilst Thor stood on a rock behind you with Clint comes next to your dad.
Another portal opens up, three figures step through; Okoye, Shuri, and Black Panther, fully restored and ready to fight with Sam zooms in from above in his Falcon armour.
Dozens of more portals opening up all around the battlefield. Through one of these, we see Doctor Strange descend in. He is joined by Drax, Mantis, Star-Lord, and Spider-Man.
Everyone watches in confusion and awe as more and more heroes arrive from all corners of the universe, all backed up with forces of their own including Black Panther and his Wakandan army, Valkyrie and the Asgardians, Wong and the Masters of the Mystic Arts and several Ravager ships.
Amongst the throngs of heroes, we see Bucky, War Machine, Rocket, Groot, the Scarlet Witch, the Wasp, and Pepper Potts (clad in her own iron suit) arrive. Nearly every hero has magically been transported to the battlefield to face Thanos' hordes.
âPlease, say Iâm not hallucinating,â You muttered to yourself, but Tony puts a hand on your shoulder.
âYouâre sane, (Y/n).â
You huffed out a burst of laughter, Tony smiles missing your smile and laughter, âScott? Bruce?â
Giant-Man emerges from the rubble of the Avengers facility with Professor Hulk. The Avengers, Guardians, Wakandans, Asgardians, and Ravagers take up battle positions. The heroes standing across Thanos' forces.
âYour call, kid,â Steve says to you, patting your shoulder, he figured that you were taking lead.
You pulled your mask up, taking your stance as your side looking at the other side. Thanos makes a fist of fury, angry at the outcome. You saved people, you brought them back, you were not letting them go.
âAvengers Assemble!â
âThat thing needs to go back where it belongs!â You shouted in the midst of the fighting, Scott had dropped the gauntlet and with Clint, âHe might have broken the quantum tunnel but we need another time machine!â
âThe van!â Scott calls out as your team hears you groan.
âAnyone see an ugly brown van anywhere?â You yelled, punching one enemy away from you.
Valkyrie answers back itâs whereabouts as Cint passed the gauntlet over to TâChalla, who was far quicker than Clint.Â
âHey kid,â Tony greets, pausing in his fighting to lift his mask up, you do the same.
âDad,â You breathed out, embracing him into a hug, âIâve missed you,â
âI missed you too, bud,â Tony sighs happily, kissing your cheek, âI love you son.â
âI love you too dad.â
The gauntlet managed to get into Peterâs grasp as he flew on the back of Valkyrie's Pegasus. Wanda keeping Thanos preoccupied as the cannons of the ship starts aiming towards the battlefield before it all turned up to the sky.
âWhatâs going on?â Steve calls out.
âFriday, what are they firing at?â You hear your dad through the communication, as you paused your blasting, looking up to the sky.
âSomething just entered the upper atmosphere,â Friday replied.
You smirked, âHey Carol!â
Captain Marvel flies through the ship, and it results in an explosion and the ship crash-landing in the lake, she hovers over and waves at you.
âHey, little guy,â
âWe need an assist here, Carol!â
As Carol makes her way to the van, you, Tony and Peper form a hovering triangle, blasting in each angel as you spin in a circle, having your back faced to each other. You, Tony and Steve all head over to where Carol was. She flies through all of them easily and reaches Thanos. She keeps punching him, but he knocks her to the ground, wears the gauntlet and tries to snap. But Captain Marvel arises again and stops his fingers from snapping.Â
Thanos headbutts her, but it does nothing.Â
Thanos pulls the Power Stone out of the Gauntlet and uses it in his free hand to hit Captain Marvel away, then puts the stone back into the Gauntlet.
â(Y/n)!â You turn to see Strange with a questioning look, âYouâre needed!â
Strange simply raise one finger, reminding you that the one win over Thanos he foresaw is now at risk. You breathed heavily, everything sounded muted out as you watch the team you grew up and admired struggle. You could hear in the background Steve shouting orders as well as your dad.
You just got your dad back, and yet you were easily going to make the decision that he will live. You nod and attack Thanos, pulling on the Gauntlet before Thanos punches you away.
â(Y/n)!â Tony shouts in desperation at the attack.Â
You were on your knees, back straight as you looked at the Titan King, âI am the new beginning.â
Thanos snaps his fingers, but nothing happens except a metallic "clink." He sees the Infinity Stones are missing. You have the stones on your own gauntlet, to Thanos' shock
âI think not.â
You snap your fingers with a loud "CLANG" and a blinding flash of white. Rocket fires at a Leviathan and before it devours him, it crumbles into ash. The Black Order starts crumbling to ash. T'Challa and Quill look around in surprise; Steve looks on in exhaustion, knowing that they won.Â
Thanos, in horror, looks around and sees his entire army disintegrate. He looks at Steve, who just stares at him. Thanos sits down and mourns before slowly being erased from existence himself.
Tony snaps his head over to you, your metal suit releases you from inside as you crumble down onto the floor.Â
âKid? Buddy? (Y/n)?â Tony frantically calls out as he gets out of his own suit.
He runs up to you, pulling you into his arms. Your breathing is shallow and your right side is completely destroyed as he clutches you tight in desperation. Pepper, Rhodey and Peter all fly over to you.
âCome on, (Y/n), youâre gonna make it,â Tonyâs voice cracked, crumbled, tears forming and staining his cheeks.
âMy sweet boy,â Pepper coos, fixing your hair as tears were building up in everyone eyes.
Peter gasping, unable to breathe, he found a family, a brother who would tease him and love him no matter what, fading quickly. Rhodey looking at his godson, Tony was not a religious man but they all pray for a God now.
âI did....â You croaked out, you stare at your dad, âit for you, dad...â
âYouâve done me proud, you always make me proud,â Tony chokes, pulling you closer, allowing you to rest your head on his shoulder, your face buried into his neck, âI love you.â
He could see your mouth move, but nothing seems to come out but he hears one last thing, Tony Stark breaks down. He gets you back, you did it for him, only for him to hear your last breath.
Not all of you shall die, Tony decides, your legacy will continue.Â

Avengers: Endgame Spoilers
Some quick thoughts that turned into semi-long thoughts:
Honestly? The movie was kind of meh. It tried to look as epic as possible, particularly by the end, but it didnât feel epic. Like, yeah, I felt excited when everyone started assembling in the final battle, but then it got âmehâ again.Â
I have a lot of thoughts, but Iâm too tired to write them all down, so Iâll just say a few quick things:
-The Clint Barton/Ronin thing really didnât... change anything. Itâs like a fake character development: makes some drastic changes that have no consequence on the character and those around him. It was pretty inconsequential.
-Steveâs ending doesnât make any sense within the time travel context of the film. It also come out of left field when considering his overall character arc throughout the films and makes him not have moved on from the past; if anything, heâs like Gatsby in the sense that he wanted and did repeat the past, which makes his overall character arc just... inconsequential, if thatâs the right word for this. Also, personally, I preferred the idea of Peggy Carter having moved on from Steve and lived her own life. This all also makes Sharon/Steve even weirder than it already was.
-Thor... hoo boy... Infinity War and Endgame just do not care about Thorâs character development in Ragnarok, huh? Not only with the hammer and the eye, but also with him being king. And itâs alright for him to grieve and maybe not do a fantastic job as king at first, especially after something as catastrophic as the snap (and Thanosâ attack on the Asgardians before the snap)... I mean, the way that while everyoneâs grief was taken seriously, Thorâs was about 95% comic relief? The way his guilt over not having âaimed for the headâ, and the overall pain over losing his entire family over the past few movies, be turned into âlook at how pathetic it is that this man is having a panic attack and is cryingâ? Really sends a lot of toxic messages about thereâs only a ârightâ way for men to grieve (and thatâs being stoic, essentially).
-I love Valkyrie and all, but it doesnât make sense for her to be queen of the Asgardians because, as Thor says, âsheâs shown good leadershipâ, or something a long those words. No, she hasnât, because the MCU hasnât shown that side of her. Thereâs no proof of that. Sure, she was the leader of the Valkyries, but being the captain of a subsection of an army (which is something we didnât really see, just her battle with Hela, and a segmented battle at that) doesnât make one a good queen who has to overlook over a nation. And sure, one could say Valkyrie was the one leading the people in New Asgard, but we the audience didnât see that. We jus saw her walking around the pier. You canât just make up character development just because you didnât know how to handle the character development of another character.Â
-Natasha sure died, huh? Just... died, and I guess thatâs her character arc. Marvel might do some retroactive character arc completion with the Black Widow movie, but it wonât change the fact the Endgame ended her character arc in a way that... I mean, the MCU didnât really get into her character, did it? We got references to the Red Room and that sheâs killed a lot of people over the years and her guilt over that and her wish to be better, but itâs all just pieces that never quite stitched together, so her character arc is just... there. So her death doesnât feel like a finale to her story because her story was barely there.Â
-I guess Endgame explains how thereâs gonna be a Loki show on Disney+. Iâm assuming that the Loki in the show will be about the Loki from the timeline that escaped with the cosmic cube? That, or itâs just Lokiâs past.Â
-For Infinity War essentially being a Thanos movie, Endgame Thanos was just kind of... there, I guess. Endgame focused more on the Avengers, which is good, but then... I donât know how to explain, I have to think about this point more.
-It felt like there was too much fanservice at times, with the time traveling and all. Like, it felt like too much because, even for a 3 hour movie, it took away time that could have been used for character development. Itâs an epic action movie, I know, but the movie started by giving these mostly great moments and overall world building that didnât really... go much of anywhere. In my head, Iâve always thought that the grand saga that is the MCU Infinity War needed to have a trilogy of said war, instead of a duology--in a way that wouldnât have felt unnecessarily extended like, say, The Hobbit trilogy. I knew it wasnât possible, especially not with actorâs contracts ending and all, but I can dream...
-Nebula and/or Gamora should have been part of the final battle against Thanos himself, or in a final something. For all that story development in between those three in Infinity War, it felt like their story arc concerning their relationship to each other was never completed. With Thanos just being kind of âthereâ, and Gamora being around and sometimes prominent, but with Nebula front and mostly center, for a relationship thatâs had huge consequences in the MCU, it sure ended when it was just halfway to the finish line.Â
-It was cool when Steve lifted Mjolnir, but it made no sense that he could also use lightning powers. Thor can use lightning powers and the hammer was there to help him channel such power (within the context of the MCU), but since Ragnarok didnât happen I guess, Endgame created its own lore about Mjolnir. Cool looking scenes, still didnât make sense.Â
-It annoys me that the movie started pretty good, but then the time traveling happens and all those moments just... lose most of its meaning. If the MCU doesnât double down on the collective trauma of the people who survived the snap, and the coming trauma of the people who came back to a ravaged world five years in the future, then the movie lost more than it gained. It makes that beginning mostly false--which annoys me because I liked the scenes with Scott Lang coming back and finding out what happened and then being fearful that Cassie was one of the vanished. I know people deservedly rag on the group therapy scene because of the âamazingâ gay rep, but itâs a good scene for world building. Unfortunately, it was just that one scene. It would have been interesting to see more of that stuff, besides the bicycle kid that Scott meets and the cemetery.Â
-Iâm nearly falling asleep on my computer, so this is it for tonight. I said it would be a few quick things, but I rambled (and still am). I liked various parts of the film, but overall it was all pretty meh. Goodnight. Â
