i'm finding it hard to fall asleep right now, and i've got an early morning tomorrow. got any interesting stories to tell?
☕️ — c.
Ah, greetings, Cris. Welcome to the blog--I thought I had caught a glimpse of it while wandering about the website a bit in my down time, and sure enough, here you are. So, you have come to me to hear a tale or two. In my time as a self-proclaimed cosmonaut, and more recently a bearer of the spider-man moniker, I have plenty. Though, for the sake of time, I shall tell you just one.
Tumblr media
There was a time before I had access to possibly two of the greatest feats of human invention--Voyagers 1 and 2--that my discernable scope of the cosmos were quite limited. I was unable to chart a course through the vast void of space like I do now and essentially just wandered endlessly, like a child stumbling in the dark. So, I was hard-pressed to find any meaningful data with such a total lack of direction, the few discoveries I did make being out of sheer luck. A certain star would be one such discovery.
Tumblr media
Wolf Rayet-140. A binary star set nearly 5,000 light years out from where we sit in the center of our galaxy that is best known for its many rings of cosmic space dust, rich in oxygen, nitrogen, and silicone. It is a notable example of the production of space dust, believed to be one of the many ways such a phenomenon occurs in the first place. At the time which we see it from our humble abode, the star was in the midst of death. After it is done expelling its mass in the form of these rings, it will collapse. Do you know what happens when a star collapses?
Tumblr media
It creates life... Or, well, perhaps that is an exaggeration. The dust expelled in the final flash of a star, in its dying moments, contain the essential building blocks of life. The very elements that allowed us to accidentally spring into existence billions of years ago emerged from one of these nebulas. As they say, we--you all--are made of star-stuff. I was fortunate enough to witness the creation of one such nebula. Again, as we see WR-140, we see a mere afterimage of the beginning of its eventual blooming into a supernova. From where I saw it, from several light years close, as I floated in that all-consuming expanse, there was a great flash of light, of an intensity indescribable to mortals. The heat was intense. Perhaps unpleasant for all but a brief moment before I found myself in the presence of an exponentially, more blindingly bright, white dwarf. Do you have any idea how bright that sort of celestial body is? How small yet wonderous in adverse proportion? No living man has had such the privilege to float within such proximity to such a cosmic wonder. It was breathtaking. It is one of my fondest memories from my earliest travels. I would like to witness something like it again someday. My, that was longer than I had hoped. I pray I didn't bore you to death with my space-ramble. Hopefully if provided you with adequate reading material to fall asleep to. I kindly thank you, if you read this far.

🌘 - Write a flowery description about an aspect of your OC: appearance, personality, past experiences, etc.
Hey friend, thanks for stopping by! (From this cosmic OC ask game)
🌘 - Write a flowery description about an aspect of your OC: appearance, personality, past experiences, etc.
Look at you, always asking me to answer the hard questions lol. I'm not a flowery person when it comes to descriptions so let the record show that I will be cringing the entire time.
It's ok I got this (no I don't this will be the worst thing I've ever written). Let's do Gwen.
She had long dark hair that flowed down to her mid-back, braided together so elegant and perfect like a chocolatier who'd perfected their craft. Her bangs fluffed over her browline, just above her delicate frames around her chestnut-colored eyes. Her soft, light brown skin radiated a certain glow to it in the sunlight, and as she'd tied her baggy sweater around her waist, she revealed a strong collarbone and a figure that alluded to her morning runs.
Man, I hated that. I choose to believe Akash was forced to do this for a school assignment or something. I hope I never write a food-themed simile again.
But you know what? Good challenge. Thanks for the ask :)

One of my pet peeves is despite being a place mentioned and beloved in many stories, I SEE NOTHING ABOUT OUTERTALE?!?!? One of the prettiest, influential aus and I find absolutely nothing about it outside of it being “the multiverse’s favorite au”. Where’s the monsters who’ve seen the expanding cosmic wonders we humans could only dream of, sitting and dreaming of us. Intercepting our messages, fawning over the sounds of children, dancing to songs they can only hope to replicate, imagining our oceans, our mountains. While we dream of stars, they dream of rich earth and dry desert, of rain clouds and storms, of cityscapes towering over the land to villages born and built by generations of humans. We Humans that dream of the everlasting expanse of nebulas, and the Monsters that love our little blue dot and all that live on it. Hcgncghh Sorry about rambling I just love the idea of Outertale and I’m just disappointed that it becomes a tourist destination in most stories.
YOUR ABSOLUTELY RIGHT THO!!! Genuinely I have not seen Outertale be the main focus for any fanfiction, it's always jsut mentioned and why????? it's so cool! Honestly I can't even find much canon informaton on Outertale.
I feel like it's like a beloved neighbourhood cat you have to go looking for if you want to catch a glimpse of it.

you should tell me about your ocs now >:3
HI im so sorry its taken so long to reply to this! i love my ocs so much and wanted to do them justice. my main universe is COSMIC HARMONY and i'll be talking about the SPACE SQUAD, the protagonists :3
ARIA AVASPERO
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Aria used to be an astronomy prodigy, working as a teen intern with Bouman Industries, a prolific tech and space exploration company. At the age of 13, scared of her homophobic parents and of the unethical experiments Bouman Industries CEO Claudia Bouman was starting to involve her in, Aria ran away from home. She found herself on the Elpis, a magical and abandoned spaceship. Since then, she's been a space adventurer, flitting between adventures on magical alien planets and trying to return to Earth as little as possible.
Over the course of the story, Aria gains hope magic, which mostly manifests in the form of fluffy golden wings! Her arc is about learning to trust herself. She presents as cocky and confident and reckless, and well she is reckless, but she often feels small and unimportant and hopeless. She's incredibly determined and strong-willed. She's hope. Theme: stars/sun
LONDON CÁO
Tumblr media
After Aria runs away, Claudia Bouman needs some more subjects to experiment on, so she adopts a child to be her guinea pig! fucked up! That child is London, who was bounced around between foster homes for his entire life before landing with Claudia. Claudia's experiments on him disconnect him from reality and give him reality-glitching magics, along with mental illnesses, nightmares, and the inability to differentiate between dreams, delusions, and reality. Eventually, London started working on running away and was rescued by Aria, who took him to the Elpis. The two of them have been living there for years now, just the two of them, adventuring together.
London is extremely shy and quiet and reserved around almost everyone. Around his friends, though, he's firey and passionate and a little unhinged. He studies magic as a way to deal with his unwanted powers, and he's the type to break something just to put it back together. theme: black holes
HAYDEN "DEN" EMERSON
Tumblr media
At the start of the story, Den is kicked out of their house. She was a closeted autistic trans girl dealing with horrible parents, and when they discovered that she was queer, they kicked her out. Looking for somewhere to go, Den ends up finding the Elpis and joining Aria and London on board. It's a breath of fresh air for Den, who can finally transition and be herself and go on adventures and have friends.
Over the course of the story, Den gains the ability to manipulate light! She's a painter and channels her magic through their paintbrush. They're energetic, cheerful, optimistic to a fault, sometimes denying any negative emotions she feels. She knows how to hide who she is but never wants to do that again, so they're loud and bold and herself. theme: nebulae
VIOLET SOLUCE
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Soon after Den joins the crew, they rescue Violet from a magical fire and bring her aboard. Violet was a violin prodigy until her dad burnt down her house four years ago, leaving her the only survivor. She's been surviving on her own since, developing a strong survival instinct and an inability to trust anyone else.
Aboard the Elpis, her relationships with the rest are shaky at first - she is NOT a team player, and London and Aria feel weird about having new roommates - but her arc has her learning to trust other people, and she eventually starts dating Aria. During the story, she develops mortality powers, using music to control life and death, though she's scared of using her powers because she struggles to control the plant growth it causes, and plants are flammable, and- she has terrible pyromania. theme: moon
PLOT
okay this has been so long and rambly BUT. the Space Squad ends up becoming a really solid found family, going on adventures together. They try to leave Earth behind. But Claudia Bouman's dark experiments are starting to affect the rest of the world, and the crew starts realizing it's up to them to stop her and save the universe.
There's so much in my head that I don't have room for here but that's the basic plot! These characters mean so much to me - I've had these four since middle school. And it's a big universe with lots of other characters and ough im going crazy insane. i hope its okay i rambled so much lol ty
also okay for one last little fun fact: the unofficial theme song of cosmic harmony is soaring by patricia taxxon !! these are the vibes i want the world to have :3

The ask to ramble about Fenrar! Plus some extra questions of my own.
Is his name change a canon thing he goes through or just a change to his overall canon name? If former what made him do so?
What kind of interactions does he have with the revenant legendary echoes? Any big serious talks? Any funny discussions? And with what ones?
Other than those, feel free to ramble all you want about him.
So Fenrar's a bit of a mess, he's overdue for me sitting down and figuring out the details of his story as a lot of them are extremely vague so this is as much of a brainstorm as it is a ramble
He's a Priory researcher and a big ol' nerd with an interest in the Mists and all things Mists-related. Despite his vast knowledge, he's been seen as odd at best within the Priory, with a tendency to overlook everything and everyone in favor of pursuing his own interests, be it not out of any malice but rather sheer, constant insatisfiable curiosity that often led him to put himself and other people in danger, he's the definition of "curiosity killed the cat".
Some years before the start of personal story he led a group of researchers into the Mists to track down and study anomalies and the possibility of travelling through the Mists. That, however, didn't turn out great for Fenrar, as he ended up separated from his group in an accident, falling through an opened portal and finding himself on the literal edge of the mists, a weird amalgamation of different places floating in the void with no clear way out, but despite all odds, Fenrar was fascinated and in awe of the place he found himself in, and he'd wander for a long time, only the odd astral creatures that inhabit the far reaches of the Mists keeping him some sort of a company. As time passed by though, the days all started to blur together, the odd, otherworldly landscape, Fenrar lost track of his travels, but luckily for him, eventually, through a sheer accident, he ended up falling through another portal, finding himself back in Tyria yet feeling... Different. Odd. Like his time in the mists changed his very being. Stuck on the edge between the Mists and Tyria, walking the thin veil that separates the two.
He returned back to the Priory, with all his colleauges being surprised to see him back and alive to say the least, interested in his story and the data he could provide to the research team, something Fenrar avoided under the pretence that he doesn't remember much, settling down and continuing his work, along with discovering and training his new abilities of a revenant.
As for his name, it's not really canon either way, as he's a Lion's Arch charr originally, he's never been a part of a warband or a legion, with Mistwalker being more of a title than anything. As for Starcatcher, I simply thought it'd fit him better nowadays, given his connection to the far reaches of the mists that are just empty, chaotic space inhabited by astral creatures, and that his revenant magic creates not regular mists rifts and white clouds of fog, but rather cosmic-looking portals and swirling, star-filled nebulae clouds due to the nature of his revenant abilities.
Now the legends thing is interesting, because in my initial idea Fenrar only really invokes and communes with one legend, Shiro. The idea is, while travelling through the far reaches of the Mists he'd ran into Shiro's spirit, imprisoned and chained up not unlike Balthazar, asking Fenrar for help in exchange for helping him escape the Mists. Things didn't go quite as planned however, with Fenrar basically dying and the two of them getting smushed together into one body, Fenrar's, throughout the process of falling through multiple chaotic portals before finally finding themselves back in Tyria.
I'm not quite sure if I wanna keep that bit of his lore as to not make his story bloated but I do like his interactions with Shiro and how they deal with being stuck together in the same body, Shiro more or less trapped again after over a century of imprisonment far away in the Mists, and Fenrar having to learn how to coexist with a murderous ancient Canthan ghost in his head.

IM BACK FROM BINGING ALL OF INDYS ANIMATICS— OK So are humans and earth a separate thing from the guardians? Are they connected in any way? Do guardians get their human like personalities and hobbies from humans or is it the other way around?
HOLYBSHIT WAIT REALLY?? LETS GOO OK OK OK
They are a seperate thing, yes!! Guardians aren’t mortal while humans are. The Guardians do have a base on Earth, like they do on many other planets and assorted places, for universal quality control. But they don’t interact with humans. Normally.
I’ve never considered that before so I don’t have a definitive answer! Honestly I think some activities are so ingrained in life that they transcend being restricted to humans only. Like song, dance, cooking, creating art, etc. I’m sure somewhere Guardians influenced some kind of human development, and humans have certainly influenced the Guardians. Not in huge groundbreaking ways, but in ways like how there’s a gramophone in Mori’s office and that Mem knows Queen songs. They aren’t connected but in a way I think they share! Albeit sometimes without them knowing.

Hello mini AU rambling because AAAAAA
So all the ego are basically celestial bodies as in they are weird cosmic being things? (I have no clue if that makes sense but close enough) that are based off a space object like stars, nebulae etc
I’m going to talk about Anti specifically here because this idea made this AU in the the first place
He’s a star at one point, specifically a red supergiant. The thing about red supergiants is that they are near the end of a star’s life cycle. Red supergiants explode into supernovas and then either turn into a neutron star or a black hole. Guess which one Anti turns into :)
but yeah Blackhole Anti that consumes any stars and light near him and wanders the cosmos :D

hi tina 💞 not sure how easy this is, since my astrophysics knowledge is nearing -273 *C, but you could do mutuals as astronomical sights? comets, planets, galaxies etc... sorry if not!! 💖✨
Tumblr media
anna! and anon! you’ve given me a wonderful chance to ramble about space. you may come to regret it, however...
if i’ve forgotten you, please do not take it personally! i didn’t mean to. my mind is just but a glorified puddle :)
Tumblr media
@archaicmusings — vega
vega is the brightest star in the constellation lyra, and happens to be my favourite star. don’t ask me why vega is my favourite star, or why lyra is my favourite constellation, because i haven’t got a coherent answer for you. i’ve just always been drawn to them. a bit like cal, really. i feel like we’ve known each other for far longer than just four months, and she’s so lovely that i’m fairly sure i could say anything to her and she’d just accept me for whatever rubbish i’m rambling about this time. and, in the depressing year that’s been 2020, cal has been a bright star.
Tumblr media
@drivenbybri — halley’s comet
honestly, is there anything more iconic than halley’s comet? there can’t be much. probably the best known comet of all time, halley’s comet is a short-period comet (and if you’ve read starstruck, you know how much i prefer short-period comets to those long-period comets with their damned 200-year perihelions, even if certain people suggest that this makes them quite special), meaning that it is visible from earth every 75-ish years. halley’s comet last made an appearance in the lovely year of 1986, and will thus appear next in 2061 (i’m so excited for my 59-year-old self!!!). halley’s comet, though well-known, is still a rare breed, so to speak. it is rare, and extraordinarily beautiful that a comet appears to a human twice within their lifetime. sofie is rare, just like halley’s comet, and equally beautiful, both in heart and with that lovely curly hair of hers. i’m honoured to know her, just as i shall be honoured to see halley’s comet one day.
Tumblr media
@brianmays-hair — cassiopeia a
cassiopeia a (or rather, the remnant of cassiopeia a) was a supernova within the constellation of cassiopeia. for those of you who do not obsess over interstellar matter the way that i do, supernovae are explosions of massive stars, or white dwarfs drawn to nuclear fusion, within their final stages of life. not much is known about how these explosions necessarily take place, and nasa has only caught on video one such explosion, back in 2016. the most commonly presented image of the remnant of cassiopeia a is a false-colour image, composed with three different wavebands of light. it is, as you can see, very beautiful. supernovae radiate energy and light throughout the cosmos during their existence, and thus having a great effect on the space surrounding them. i therefore liken jess to cassiopeia a because she has a brilliant personality, vibrant and inspiring, which comes across especially in her writing. but of course, the beauty of cassiopeia a has nothing on her.
Tumblr media
@deacyblues — sirius
as far as we humans and the scientists among us know, sirius is the brightest star in the observable universe. housed within the constellation of canis major, sirius has always been monumentally important in terms of navigation, since ancient times. i tell pearl this all the time, but truly, i mean it; her outlook on life is inspiring, how she never fails to be positive even in times of great trouble. like sirius, pearl is a light, ever-present within the mindset of living for today, ever-determined, and unfailingly kind.
Tumblr media
@joemazzmatazz — black hole
please let me explain before this gets taken the wrong way: I LOVE BLACK HOLES. i specifically want to study black holes, whenever i get the chance to specialise within astrophysics. they fascinate me to no end, with a kind of allure that only the mysterious can hold. furthermore, black holes may be the key to understanding the universe; if we understand black holes, we will be able to make headway on other matter, such as dark matter, and dark energy, the latter of which makes up the majority of the observable universe, and will lead us to astronomical (if you’ll pardon the ill-worded expression, and the unintentional pun) conclusions concerning both the beginning of our universe, and the eventual end. regan, just like a black hole, is a wealth of information, especially concerning the knowledge she harbours about disney, and the business management sector of it. it’s quite truly inspirational.
Tumblr media
@im-an-adult-ish — the milky way
ah yes, the milky way. home to all of us. and that is the essence of my explanation here. meredith has such a friendly way about her, and she’s the kind of person you can easily turn to and feel welcomed. a bit like our little corner of the universe <3
Tumblr media
@almightygwil — the sun
i think this is probably self-explanatory, if a bit repetitive, but ellie is a ray of sunshine. but perhaps that sells her a little short, because ellie is just so genuinely lovely that she must herself be the sun. her writing talent astounds me (you could say it blinds me, ha ha), and she never fails to be somehow both sweet and very chaotic at the same time. it’s very admirable (and certainly relatable, on the chaotic front). the sun itself, if we think about the surface and the fusion that takes place there, is both the sweetest sight ever seen, and quite chaotic, so i think it fitting that ellie is the sun.
Tumblr media
@hijackmy-heart — callisto
callisto is one of jupiter’s moons, and my favourite, because it looks like a piece of the night sky decided to curl up into a ball. i don’t know nat too well, but i know that she’s gorgeous, like callisto, and loves roger taylor. let me explain. jupiter, in roman mythology, is the god of the sky and of thunder. in norse mythology, thor is the equivalent of jupiter, and to me, roger has always had a bit of that typical scandinavian look going, with the blonde hair and blue eyes (not to say that all scandis look like this, but he fits the stereotype :)). nat loves roger, and callisto orbits jupiter, so there you have it.
Tumblr media
@six-bloodyminutes — the moon
the moon has a serenity about it, and mo has a knack for telling quite wild things with a most casual air. for instance, according to my sources, when a certain dorm room caught fire (?). mo thus bears this serenity, akin to the serenity i associate with the moon, with equal grace and chaos.
Tumblr media
@dancingdiscofloof — pluto
pluto! the not-planet-oh-wait-maybe-it’s-a-planet-jk-jk-unless..? i still think that pluto should be considered a planet, despite the many arguments against the poor sod. pluto was once a planet, and should therefore have remained a planet, for the plain and simple fact that taking away its planethood was like giving a person a present, and then taking it back immediately afterward. anyway. i’m rambling. i also do not know rove very well, but i know that she’s kind, and, judging by the memes she shares, both of ryan gosling and tom hanks, that she is quirky— a bit like our beloved pluto.
Tumblr media
@imcompletelylost — aurora borealis/aurora australis
also known as the northern lights/the southern lights, the polar lights, the merry dancers, the fox fires, or swarms of luminous herring (you can thank my ancestors, followers of norse mythology, for that one), the aurora is an astronomical phenomenon precipitated by the complete ring of light surrounding the poles, “which at its brightest has a distinctively green tint” (may, brian, et al. the cosmic tourist. carlton books, 2016.). yes i just made a citation from one of brian’s books. don’t worry about it. anyway, particles emitted from our sun are caught by the magnetic fields of earth’s poles, and thus produce this ethereal effect. but you know what the aurora has always reminded me of? disco lights. and libby is noting if not the queen of disco. oh, and, libby’s makeup talents? the aurora could never.
Tumblr media
@aprilaady — butterfly nebula
the butterfly nebula is incredibly beautiful. but also, depending on from which angle it is beheld, it looks quite different. dor will surprise you, in the loveliest way possible (and sometimes the funniest) with a kind word or a joke, or even just a relatable comment. she has so many talents, being rivetingly smart within so many fields, especially the sciences, and in this, conveys multitudes, like the butterfly nebula. one might say her soul is painted like the wings of butterflies...
Tumblr media
@doing-albri — solar eclipse
the alignment of the sun, moon, and earth. difficult to see, especially in totality, if you continually live in the same place. but there’s something magical in that alignment, i think. something quite poetic. it’s partially in the name ‘eclipse’ and partially in the nickname— a “ring of fire.” i saw the solar eclipse in august of 2018, and looking up at it, i was quite awestruck. you’re not supposed to stare directly at solar eclipses, because despite the moon overshadowing the sun, you can still damage your eyes significantly by looking at them. vi is so bright, both in her attitude and in her intelligence, and thus i’ve chosen the solar eclipse for her. also, when a solar eclipse occurs, using a piece of cardboard with a hole (or generally any thick-radius circular object with an opening), you can recreate the phenomenon on another surface, resulting in beautiful patterns and light-art, which i think speaks to vi’s eye for aesthetics.
Tumblr media
@imalososos — meteor shower
meteor showers are perhaps some of the most beautiful phenomena i have ever seen. back in the summer of 2016, i stayed up all night to watch the perseids rush across the sky, and i was not disappointed, by any means. within the early hours of the 12th of august, an estimated 80 meteors darted across the heavens each hour. meteors, in essence, are clusters of mineral, usually debris from comets, which enter the atmosphere of a planet, and thus seem to shoot across the sky. now, you may be wondering, what’s the bloody blooming difference between meteoroids, meteors, and meteorites, and why are we talking about meteors in particular? well, meteoroids are cosmic debris that have not yet entered an atmosphere; as soon as a piece of cosmic debris enters a planet’s atmosphere, it is classified as a meteor. as for meteorites, nothing is a meteorite unless it strikes the ground. anyway. you didn’t come here for my science ramblings. meteors are also called ‘shooting stars,’ and let’s be honest, they’re space’s idea of art. streaks of light across the sky? sounds like a painting to me, and darya, among many other things, is an artist— and a brilliant one, at that. so i think it very fitting to describe her as the art of the universe <3
Tumblr media
@mazzell-ro — saturn
i! love! saturn!!! being the only planet in our solar system with highly visible rings, it just stands out to me. it’s absolutely gorgeous, and an object of much inspiration to me, when i was little and decided that space was absolutely something i wanted to see. i could write an eight-verse song about saturn, i love it so much, and honestly, i think ro could write one too; she’s an excellent musician. but aside from its lovely rings, saturn is unique because its composition, in the ratio of its gases, would allow the planet to float in water. ro is uniquely wonderful, and her writing!!!!!!!! makes me so soft and happy and makes me want to give her the word. quite how i feel when i look up at saturn.
Tumblr media
@mistiermistshazierdays — zodiacal light
you may recognise this term as brian’s speciality from when he was studying astrophysics. but what is it? zodiacal light is that strange triangle of light that appears glowing in the sky after twilight and before dawn, and is the subject of much earth-based astrophotography. extraordinarily beautiful, scientists are still not entirely sure what the phenomenon is, but most research and practical experiments are in favour of zodiacal light being sunlight reflected off of cosmic dust (also known as stardust!). now, if my knowledge of ancient greece and its mythology serves me, the name phoebe comes from phoebus, and (thank you google) means ‘bright.’ zodical light… bright… phoebe… you might say it’s a match made in the heavens. quite literally if we’re talking space. phoebe, you kind soul, you are stardust.
Tumblr media
@speciallyred — andromeda galaxy
and last, but certainly not least, dear anna. i name thee the andromeda galaxy, partially for your own name, and partially for its poetic beauty. andromeda, the neighbour galaxy of our deal ol’ milky way, is actually about 2.5 million lightyears (15 trillion miles, 22.5 trillion km) away from us, here on earth. call me vain for the number of times i’ve described the beauty of space throughout this rather extended exposition, but andromeda is startlingly beautiful. one reason for this objective beauty is that andromeda is estimated to be home to roughly double the number of stars within our own galaxy. anna is one of the most talented poets i have ever come across, hands down, and what be the food of poetry, if not the stars?

Hello! I found out how magic worked!
To elaborate, my kintype lives in a world with a lot of magic, and I always wondered how it functioned. After chatting with some sourcemates for a while I realized I know more about it than I thought I did, and I'd like to ramble about it so I have a place to reference from in the future.
Buckle in, this might be long.
So, magic. What's that about? Aside from being an almost needlessly complex foce of the world itself with no true explanation, I find there are some 'rules' to it. If it weren't complex, one wouldn't need to study it for years in a classroom environment after all.
As far as I remember, there were some basic things about magic to keep in mind. One is that whatever specialty you'd end up with came directly from whatever concept or physical thing you draw your energy from. This can be just about anything, if you have enough of a connection to it. It's hard to find people who use the exact same type of magic, but I doubt it'd be impossible.
Two were the classifications. Specifically between Dark, Light, and the in-between. While these can be specialties in of themselves, they're very hard to learn and control like that. Rather, they tend to be utilized in a diluted form as a sort of additive, changing the range of spells one could use. For example, I used a Lighter form of cosmic magic than Klug. My power drew from celestial bodies such as stars, the moon, and comets, while his drew from nebulas and black holes, thus creating different results. Those in the middle had access to both sides to a lesser extreme.
However, if you were intrinsically born to one side or the other due to lineage or something of the sort, it'd be much more of a challenge to unlearn that in favor of the other, which would hypothetically leave your magic with traces of the side you were born with, no matter how hard you tried to erase them.
About puyo, they were essentially physical pockets of magic, filled to the brim with likely more energy than a single person could handle in one sitting if they didn't expel it immediately. Hence where battles come in. Putting more than three together would overwhelm even the puyos themselves, given their tendency to almost fuse together upon contact with one of the same structure (that is, color). The bigger the chain, the more simultaneous puyo popped, the more energy released in a single attack.
Chain chants weren't really all that meaningful. They were mostly just callouts we did for association, to prepare our minds subconsciously for the ensuing rush of power. Or just to sound cool, take your pick.
Of course, there were plenty of spells used out of battle, and the things used to energize ourselves without the use of puyo (as puyo require energy to summon in the first place) is different between people. For some it's directly related to the type of magic they use, for others it isn't. Some spells were higher in difficulty and energy consumption than others. A full-body transformation spell would expend way more energy if it were to succeed (and that's a BIG 'if') than a basic item-summoning spell.
Of course, since the small details of certain spells were so complicated even at lower levels, it tended to be slow learning for even the brightest of students. Because of this, child prodigies in the field of magic specifically were often highly praised and idolized from as young as they started excelling, and tended to rapidly gain widespread fame (probably not the best for them, but that's not something that's under my control).
What a strange world. ^^

Sending hugs always!
☄️ - From your OC’s perspective, write a short paragraph about their average day.
Please and thank you!
Hello! Thanks for stopping by! (From this cosmic OC ask game)
☄️ - From your OC’s perspective, write a short paragraph about their average day.
I'm gonna do Carla pre-Part One. I only have three chapters in her POV and they're all flashbacks to when she was 7-10, so this will be interesting to write.
Short paragraph? Okay...
My brain usually wakes me up whenever I need to. Always being aware of the time would cause that. I try to get through the morning routine as quickly as possible so I can get to work. I usually turn on Stefanija Lauwers as I get through my school assignments. If I burn out I just daydream until I can work again. I always experience time slowly for that. I panic if I forget. Sometimes my mind wanders too much and time speeds up. I don't even realize it. On my best days, I get to read or write for as long as I want. On my worst days, I just lay on the couch, speeding through the hours until George gets back. Together, we may play a game. He'll talk about his day. We could turn on a movie. Worst days, Nkechi Winship is our go-to actor. I miss...people. More than anything.
Not short but what do you want from me?
Thanks for the tag!

Avengers: Endgame Spoilers
Some quick thoughts that turned into semi-long thoughts:
Honestly? The movie was kind of meh. It tried to look as epic as possible, particularly by the end, but it didn’t feel epic. Like, yeah, I felt excited when everyone started assembling in the final battle, but then it got “meh” again.
I have a lot of thoughts, but I’m too tired to write them all down, so I’ll just say a few quick things:
-The Clint Barton/Ronin thing really didn’t... change anything. It’s like a fake character development: makes some drastic changes that have no consequence on the character and those around him. It was pretty inconsequential.
-Steve’s ending doesn’t make any sense within the time travel context of the film. It also come out of left field when considering his overall character arc throughout the films and makes him not have moved on from the past; if anything, he’s like Gatsby in the sense that he wanted and did repeat the past, which makes his overall character arc just... inconsequential, if that’s the right word for this. Also, personally, I preferred the idea of Peggy Carter having moved on from Steve and lived her own life. This all also makes Sharon/Steve even weirder than it already was.
-Thor... hoo boy... Infinity War and Endgame just do not care about Thor’s character development in Ragnarok, huh? Not only with the hammer and the eye, but also with him being king. And it’s alright for him to grieve and maybe not do a fantastic job as king at first, especially after something as catastrophic as the snap (and Thanos’ attack on the Asgardians before the snap)... I mean, the way that while everyone’s grief was taken seriously, Thor’s was about 95% comic relief? The way his guilt over not having “aimed for the head”, and the overall pain over losing his entire family over the past few movies, be turned into “look at how pathetic it is that this man is having a panic attack and is crying”? Really sends a lot of toxic messages about there’s only a “right” way for men to grieve (and that’s being stoic, essentially).
-I love Valkyrie and all, but it doesn’t make sense for her to be queen of the Asgardians because, as Thor says, “she’s shown good leadership”, or something a long those words. No, she hasn’t, because the MCU hasn’t shown that side of her. There’s no proof of that. Sure, she was the leader of the Valkyries, but being the captain of a subsection of an army (which is something we didn’t really see, just her battle with Hela, and a segmented battle at that) doesn’t make one a good queen who has to overlook over a nation. And sure, one could say Valkyrie was the one leading the people in New Asgard, but we the audience didn’t see that. We jus saw her walking around the pier. You can’t just make up character development just because you didn’t know how to handle the character development of another character.
-Natasha sure died, huh? Just... died, and I guess that’s her character arc. Marvel might do some retroactive character arc completion with the Black Widow movie, but it won’t change the fact the Endgame ended her character arc in a way that... I mean, the MCU didn’t really get into her character, did it? We got references to the Red Room and that she’s killed a lot of people over the years and her guilt over that and her wish to be better, but it’s all just pieces that never quite stitched together, so her character arc is just... there. So her death doesn’t feel like a finale to her story because her story was barely there.
-I guess Endgame explains how there’s gonna be a Loki show on Disney+. I’m assuming that the Loki in the show will be about the Loki from the timeline that escaped with the cosmic cube? That, or it’s just Loki’s past.
-For Infinity War essentially being a Thanos movie, Endgame Thanos was just kind of... there, I guess. Endgame focused more on the Avengers, which is good, but then... I don’t know how to explain, I have to think about this point more.
-It felt like there was too much fanservice at times, with the time traveling and all. Like, it felt like too much because, even for a 3 hour movie, it took away time that could have been used for character development. It’s an epic action movie, I know, but the movie started by giving these mostly great moments and overall world building that didn’t really... go much of anywhere. In my head, I’ve always thought that the grand saga that is the MCU Infinity War needed to have a trilogy of said war, instead of a duology--in a way that wouldn’t have felt unnecessarily extended like, say, The Hobbit trilogy. I knew it wasn’t possible, especially not with actor’s contracts ending and all, but I can dream...
-Nebula and/or Gamora should have been part of the final battle against Thanos himself, or in a final something. For all that story development in between those three in Infinity War, it felt like their story arc concerning their relationship to each other was never completed. With Thanos just being kind of “there”, and Gamora being around and sometimes prominent, but with Nebula front and mostly center, for a relationship that’s had huge consequences in the MCU, it sure ended when it was just halfway to the finish line.
-It was cool when Steve lifted Mjolnir, but it made no sense that he could also use lightning powers. Thor can use lightning powers and the hammer was there to help him channel such power (within the context of the MCU), but since Ragnarok didn’t happen I guess, Endgame created its own lore about Mjolnir. Cool looking scenes, still didn’t make sense.
-It annoys me that the movie started pretty good, but then the time traveling happens and all those moments just... lose most of its meaning. If the MCU doesn’t double down on the collective trauma of the people who survived the snap, and the coming trauma of the people who came back to a ravaged world five years in the future, then the movie lost more than it gained. It makes that beginning mostly false--which annoys me because I liked the scenes with Scott Lang coming back and finding out what happened and then being fearful that Cassie was one of the vanished. I know people deservedly rag on the group therapy scene because of the “amazing” gay rep, but it’s a good scene for world building. Unfortunately, it was just that one scene. It would have been interesting to see more of that stuff, besides the bicycle kid that Scott meets and the cemetery.
-I’m nearly falling asleep on my computer, so this is it for tonight. I said it would be a few quick things, but I rambled (and still am). I liked various parts of the film, but overall it was all pretty meh. Goodnight.

In addition I think too many people make Crowley the angel who created the stars, when his line in the show is ‘Beautiful nebula, look at that. I helped build that one.’ Helped. He helped build that one nebula in particular. He was part of the great cosmic machine that built the universe, just one angel among thousands, but he took special pride in his work in a way other angels presumably didn’t. The scene in the study is him supposedly trying to find a place to run to, getting distracted by memories of when he had a family, and finally calling out to God about why he fell, quickly changing tack to ‘I hope you know what you’re doing because I love this place and I don’t want it to burn. Please. We don’t talk anymore but we used to and please tell me you love it as much as I do.’ I still have a headcanon that he was an unimportant angel who started to ask the right questions and thus fell both to prevent the whole plan falling apart, but also because as a demon he’d be closer to the people and places he loves and thus be able to be a little more free. Demonic temptation is very hands on. He’d see the worst of people rather than the best, as angels do, and God wanted to see if he’d still choose them, still love them. And he does. In a very Crowley way. He loves their capacity for evil even if he bawks at the consequences sometimes. He loves their imagination in the way an angel simply can’t, because they can only obey. They’d only see imagination and free will as getting in the way of the great plan and obedience to God. Heaven is abusive but it’s not entirely the fault of the angels, who only know obedience and don’t have free will. (Though one could argue that the decision to execute Crowley and Aziraphale without express orders to do so is something similar, without their realising it.)
‘I only ever asked questions. That’s all it took to be a demon in the old days.’ Which implies it doesn’t happen anymore... but we don’t see other angels Questioning. Aziraphale perhaps? Maybe Crowley wonders why he hasn’t fallen.
I’ll end this ramble here because I lost my train of thought but... yeah.
