The Cosmere Corner (CC) is a Cosmere fandom server created by @zaharya (me) and The.Cosmere.Academy (on TikTok).

The Cosmere is vast, and so is its fandom — theorists, readers, crafters, artists, and writers alike are inspired by its extensive canon. We wanted to create a place where all these things can be shared, while providing an open, fun, neurodiversity friendly environment. There's channels to chat, discuss, share recs, write, create art, and much more — or you can just lurk, whatever you're comfortable with.

If I ever do actually finish a piece this one will be certain. My thoughts of Hoid's potential design whenever he shows up as an NPC in my Cyberpunk Mistborn game. I see him working as a busker in the subway, twanging folk songs on his acoustic. Is that actually Design on his back or did he get her a body in by this time and it's just painted/embroidered/an actual hologram?

Hey so like I’ve been following ur blog since my sanders sides days but like genuinely wondering, what fandoms r u in now?

It's kinda hard to answer what fandoms I'm *in* per say, because I don't really participate in any particular communities as heavily as I did in the sanders sides community back in the late teens and early twenties, but this is the stuff I'm into/writing right now!

I've started reading books again! I've become one of those "reads 100 books a year" people with a storygraph and a big spreadsheet and an aesthetic book journal and everything, it's really fun. If anyone wants book recs please encourage me I will dump a whole list on you.

The fan community I'm actually participating in a bit right now is the cosmere fandom (fantasy books by brandon sanderson), as I'm in a fandom discord server for that with @mug-of-beans. Currently reading Words of Radiance and losing my mind (affectionate).

I'm writing a Skyrim fanfiction that is my pride and joy, and I recently went into a fugue state and wrote a Battinson oneshot? Batfam is one of those fandoms that I exist in tertiarily (other such fandoms include dp x dc, gravity falls, and good omens), because I follow people who reblog it a lot and I'm in some discord servers that have a lot of those fans as well.

Speaking of Discord servers, I still feel at least a little part of the Sanders Sides fandom (even though I haven't actually consumed any new official content since WTIT), mostly because of my friends who still are active in the fandom, namely @tulipscomeinallsortsofcolors whose fanfiction I am almost more a fan of than the original work at this point, and I'm in a couple different servers with la and several other of my sanders sides mutuals (some are, like me, less active in tss stuff these days but we all met because of sanders sides and so sometimes when we hang out it still feels like a fanclub for it, in a good way).

I don't watch Thomas as much anymore but I still watch a lot of youtube! I started watching Smosh for the first time about...twoish years ago? Just in time to get used to the current cast and its dynamics and in jokes and then be body slammed along with everyone else with the one-two punch of "anthony is back" and "shortney Real Actually." I cycle through different gaming channels depending on my hyperfixations (i go on and off with markiplier, rtgame, jacksepticeye, dougdoug, current big one is game grumps), I like 2nd Try and Mythical and I love video essays. Hbomberguy, Supereyepatchwolf, Dan Olson, Sarah Z, Mandalore Gaming, FD Signifier, Noodle, MothersBasement, probably several I'm forgetting. Oh, and @mug-of-beans and I own Terminal Montage's Blessed Kirbo plush because we needed the Holiest Boy in our house.

I'm also in one of those moods lately where I write a lot for my whump sideblog, so if you enjoy watching OCs in pain then you can come join me on @ironwhumper359, I just started an interactive story where the readers vote on certain outcomes!

I'm a little bit all over the place at the moment, haha, but overall I'm really enjoying the things I'm reading, writing, watching, and the people I'm hanging out with! Thanks for your ask, I'm honored that you and so many others are still following this blog after all this time!

Okay at this point I’m a bit afraid to ask but what are the image IDs for???? I’m new to tumblr lol

Very happy to answer that question! I like to think that image descriptions are for everyone.

Their primary purpose is to help people who are blind or visually impaired to enjoy fanart and know what they're reblogging and what to share with friends. I got into writing image descriptions because of a cosmere-loving friend who is blind!

IDs also help in other ways:

For people who can't read facial expressions, to know what emotion if any is being expressed

For people who aren't sure which character it is

To make searching for art easier

Image descriptions also help the describer:

Artists can practice describing their art in a neutral way (since many artists have a bad habit of being overly critical of their art).

Art enjoyers can really appreciate the details of the art as they describe it.

Writers can practice writing vivid descriptions.

Everyone creates a cosmere fandom that's more accessible!

Tumblr also has a robust alt text option for people who use screen readers. This is a shot in the dark, but it's worth an attempt! I'm reaching out to the lovely people of the Cosmere community to see if any of y'all would be interested in a Cosmere group roleplay over on Discord. I'm only accepting people who are 18+ because I am not comfortable running a server with minors. As long as this post stays up I'm still accepting people in!

This will be a Cosmere-wide story going to various worlds, starting in the mysterious city of Silverlight in the Cognitive Realm. Knowledge of at least one Cosmere world is required! Canon characters are welcome but original characters are preferred because the plot will not be aligned with any of the canon stories of the Cosmere except Mistborn era 1, which has already passed.

A request I did for one of my cosmere servers of one of the library scenes from Elantris. I'll do a real painting again someday.

I spent far too long figuring out what clothing to give Sarene to match the description of "a red blouse and a blue skirt going to the mid calf" while also keeping it looking relatively appropriate for a medieval european-esque setting. I actually like the result, pity I didn't do it justice.

ages ago I was dating a Brandon Sanderson fan who introduced me to Brandon Sanderson's works, primarily the "Cosmere" - his connected universe of fantasy worlds operating on different rules using the same underlying theory. I thought this was fucking awesome and started hanging around Cosmere fandom spaces. One such space was a discord server - good place to hang, but it's been ages and I don't care very much any more so I haven't been in it since like maybe 2019 at the latest - wherein we had several entrenched members of the core discord group who talked a lot and also an off-topic channel. In the off-topic channel, those of us in the server reading other things would talk about those other things we were reading!

One of those other things was Transformers: More than Meets the Eye.

Now, I am a simple man. You look at me and you know what I like... and my tastes really have not changed since I was like, fifteen. I like ridiculous, gory, over-the-top violence, charismatic villains, murder, sarcasm, and also violence. And I was, of course, known for this, because I never shut the fuck up. If I enjoy something everyone's going to hear about it.

So a lovely member of the server begins reading MTMTE and starts talking about it in the off-topic channel - first occasionally, and then more and more often, until it's basically a daily occasion that they were beginning their daily Transformers comic reading period and they were gonna talk about it (but vaguely, in the 'livereading into channel' way). And not long into this, another member of the server, who I was a bit closer with, also started reading it! And really enjoying it!

Both of them after like five minutes were like "Hey Red YOU should also read this comic" and I, armed with the vague memories of the Bayverse movies and nothing else, went "I know what the Transformers comics are. I don't care about punch-em-up action sequences. I don't care and nothing will make me" (lol).

They informed me there is canonical gay romance. I, sick to fucking death of my IRL peers saying the same about, like, Sherlock, and at absolute best that one guy from the early seasons of Doctor Who, assumed they meant there were one-off joke characters. I was unmoved and really not compelled by the depth of character and plotline they were trying to convey to me, since they failed miserably.

They informed me it was character-driven. I don't really care about character-driven stories. I was unmoved.

They told me about certain bits and the plot of them, and I can't really remember which ones they were now but I remember going "well that's stupid" in my head, and saying I still didn't think they were for me.

Finally one member posts a screenshot of the page where Pharma splits Ambulon in half. You know, that gorgeous "lengthways!" splash panel.

I started reading Megatron: Origins about two minutes later. The rest is history.
