Corruption and Obsession 1 (Mini-Series) Corrupted Shinnok X Male Reader
[Hello, My Sexy Muffins! I am here with a mini-series for a friend of mine! He asked for this specifically, and I hope you all enjoy it!]
(Disclaimer: The Reader in this is not gay as the reader/listener is not attracted to men as the reader/Listener is very much only interested in Elrich gods and such. Normal, human men nope. This is a specific Reader and Listener, and he is not gay. If you want to see yourself as gay as the reader or listener, you are free to do that. But the lore for him is not gay.
Disclaimer 2: Corrupted Shinnok is not yandere in canon, and this is just for fun and not to be taken seriously at all. Simping for fictional characters and fictional characters is fine. Just do not be illegal or gross about it! Yanderes are not ideal partners to have in real life. Also, remember to separate fiction from reality and headcanon from canon!)
-Part 1 The Chance Meeting-
(No One's POV)
(Name) is a good Man with a lot of struggles in his life, so much that he rarely smiles. He did what he was supposed to and did the right thing. He does not know his fate will change when (Name) crosses paths with an Elder God. This is how he came to face his fate. A Fate that may or may not be worse than death.
(Name) walks out of the gym as if he just had a good workout. It felt great to do his workout. Finally, as he starts to head home, he is caught in a mass run. People are screaming and fleeing from the Chaos down the streets. (Name) unlike the others, he ran towards the chaos. That is when he sees him, some Elder God! During a battle with someone else. (Name) stared in shock and awe at the God-like creature.
That is when The God Like Creature's eyes land on him. (Name) stares a bit in fear at that creature before him, unaware of what to do. His mind tells him it will be wise to run. Though he is not afraid of this creature or God. He watches as the sort of God went back to battle, and he watches the battle unfold a bit in awe of the power and strength.
Soon the police and military arrive, and (Name) is dragged away. Being told to not be stupid and to run! He did not want to go against the police. So he leaves. Heading home, he cannot get his mind off the man or God or creature. It was shocking, to say the least. He makes it home, and his family is worried about him. Asking if he was okay.
He tells them he is fine and that he did not get caught up in what happened. The news was on what happened.
"After the strange battle today in London, the mysterious God-like deity is gone." The News reporter says. "Hundreds dead. After police and military arrived, the entity seemed to retreat. We do not know if he will return or if he is done. We do not know what he is. The World Leaders are scrabbling with this new information. The People of the World are demanding answers from a supposed God. More here as this story develops."
(Name) watch with his family. The God was not really a man, but a deity. And (Name) remembers seeing him and seeing how strong he was. For A brief moment, he had wanted to pin, The God down and have him as his and his alone. Though he knew that was a foolish thought. He shakes his head and goes for a walk. His mother told him it was not safe.
"I will be okay, Mum. Just need some air." He reassures her. "I will just be out around the block."
He walks out of his home and starts to walk. No One is out, too afraid because of what happened. That is when (Name) sees him as the same God-like creature. The God Like creature stares down at (Name).
"There you are, little one. You did not run, and you did not hide." He says. "Curious how a pathetic human can gain my desire." The God speaks. "I am Shinnok, Elder God of Death. I will claim Destruction and death across all the realms."
(Name) knows he should be scared, but he is not. He wants to grab this God by his horns and tongue fuck his mouth.
"Then why are you here talking to me?" (Name) asks him. "When you could so easily be destroying this realm."
"That is what angers me, human!" He snarls. "Ever since I laid eyes on you, I have had the need to see you again! What is so special about a weak human like yourself!"
(Name) looks at him and shrugs, frown on his face. "I do not know, but I will make you a deal…"
"And what is that!" Shinnok demands.
"If I can fuck you, and satisfy you in a carnal way, then you will stop harming my world." (Name) says, and he knows that he could be admitted any second now, but he is at least going to shoot his shout.
The Elder God Laughs, outright laughs. "HAHAHAHAHA, I have never met a human so bold to ask for such a thing, but… you are quite a handsome human. Alright, Human, if you can satisfy me in a carnal way, I will spare your world. But that means you will belong to me. Forever. Am I clear?"
(Name) stops, if he can fuck this Elder God into submission, he would save his world. But then he will belong to an elder God. He thinks hard about this. This was not something that he was prepared for. But the innocent people he will save. He is sure this is the right thing to do.
"I agree to your terms." (Name) says, and Shinnok laughs.
"Foolish human, I am certain no human can satisfy me, and it will bring me great joy to destroy your world with you as the last human to watch your failure." He smirks.
(Name) just looks at him, and he knows the risk he is taking. But now, the fate of the world rests on him pounding an Elder God's ass into submission. He will pound this Elder God's Ass into submission. He will bend him over and plow him into submission. To save his world and his family.
"I will see you tonight, Shinnok, and there I will make you mine." (Name) says, looking at the Tall Edler God.
The deal was set, and now, (Name) was the last hope for the world, and will he be able to save the world? Or will he not be able to? Will his ass be on the line, and why does an elder God make a deal like this with a human. The Elder God seemed enraptured by the human male and wanted to see if he is good enough in bed. The Elder God is a bit obsessed with this human.
[YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS The first part is done, I hope that you all enjoyed this, and yes, there will be around 4 more parts! They will be spread out! This will take a year, to two if my mental health and real-life stuff get in the way. I hope you all enjoyed this, and stay sexy, all of my sexy muffins!]

Would Raiden still turn evil in the MK9 timeline if Shinnok never infected Earthrealm’s Jinsei? That was the reason why Raiden turned evil at the end of MKX. Shinnok would rejoice in all of the death, destruction and suffering Raiden caused all in the name of “protecting” Earthrealm in Requiem if he saw it, knowing that both he and Lucifer are responsible for Raiden’s corruption. Even though Shinnok failed to conquer Earthrealm, he managed to complete one final act of revenge against Raiden, by indirectly corrupting him through the corrupted Jinsei energy and tarnishing his reputation as protector of Earthrealm, causing everyone to fear and hate the Thunder god, and making him betray his own principles and allies. He let Raiden think that he purged the corruption, but in reality, it infected him and heightened all of his negative feelings that he had repressed for centuries and eons. Shinnok would be laughing from beyond death, knowing that he succeeded in corrupting the very god he despised for thwarting his plans of conquering the realms. If you’ve seen any type of cruel magics that only heighten the negative emotions of it’s victims, then you’ll recognize that it’s Shinnok’s handiwork, negativity is his specialty. I’m also of aware of Lucifer’s manipulation of Raiden to secure his own freedom. It’s kinda similar to Peter Parker bonding to the symbiote and it brought all of the ugly feelings he supressed out of him. If Shinnok is capable of bringing out the worst of people, then that makes him just as cruel as Darth Sidious/Emperor Palpatine, Shinnok is also a Bond Destroyer.
No, if the Jinsei was not corrupted, Raiden would likely not have turned into Dark Raiden. As you pointed out, the corrupted Jinsei energy is what turned him. If they had been able to defeat Shinnok before then, I think Raiden would have far greater peace of mind in general.

I love the Guaraná plant!!! It's so weird and somewhat freaky!! It doesn't even look real! I want one so bad! 😂 You don't only have amazing myths, you also have an amazing fauna!
You have a really cool take on Delia's godhood, especially her rise towards it. It's a good callback to her OG status as a normal edenian to her new one as a goddess.
I wonder if the hordes of darkness she and the other sorceresses had to face were a result of Shinnok somehow. I mean, he is the Elder God of death, darkness and corruption after all.
This got me wondering about your god hierarchy because from what I get, in your AU there are only gods, not elder gods. So does Shinnok exist? Is he still a god and Cetrion's brother? IIRC, his amulet appears in MK1 but only because it was brought from another timeline and I wonder what Liu Kang did to Shinnok (was it said???) because you can't just erase death y'know?? 😭
Hi Rasta! Thanks for the ask!!💕
YEEEES! Guaraná is a true national GEM!💚
And we gotta love a hard-core backstory, like, "grown out of a dead child's eyes and watered with mourning tears??" Who gave this little plant the right to be this edgy??😂😂
If you're interested in a taste, Guaraná makes a delicious soda! (You can find it in France (I searched))
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And if you're also interested in our folklore, I highly recommend the series "Invisible City" on Netflix! It, unfortunately, only had two seasons but it's great to get to know some of our myths!
My absolute favourite character is Inês, the Cuca! Her myth comes from this lullaby:
"Sleep little baby, that the Cuca is coming to get you. Father went to the fields and mom left for work. Bogeyman, get off the roof, let the little baby sleep soundly."🎶
She's also a powerful witch with an alligator's face! Though in the series, she has a regular face and a butterfly motif rather than an alligator's. But the most important is: She is a QUEEN!
She steals the show and will steal your heart! 👑

youtube
Alessandra Negrini rocked in this role!💕💕💕
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
Ok, back to Delia!
I was so hoping the Brazilian folklore inspired origin would catch your eye and I'm so glad it did! 💚💛 I highly appreciate you reading through my walls of texts and finding amusement in them!
In general I'm glad you liked the result!!🥹❤️
And now, regarding the Gods/Elder Gods:
There are two types of gods: The ones who are born Gods, such as Argus and Cetrion. And the ones who ascended into Godhood, such as Delia and Asgaarth!
Godly-borns spawn into existence according to their realms necessities. Outworld lived in darkness, so the God of Light and Fire was born and Earthrealm needed to bear life, so the Goddess of Life, Light and Virtue was born!
Meanwhile Ascended Gods were once mortal beings who sacrificed themselves for their people and were gifted Godhood. Their godly blessings allow them to offer their people what they need the most to survive and prosper.
Delia's people needed a more constant light and protection from the hordes of darkness, so she was gifted the sun and through it, she helped her people.
In life, Asgaarth was the advisor of the First Edenian Queen, Mimh (who's soul nowadays rests in the oldest tree of the Living Forest), he ascended after dying protecting a group of wanderers. He became the God of Wind and Patron of Travellers and graced the wanderers, who had accepted him as one of their own and also pleaded the gods to take him, with powerful wings (and other bird features) that would allow them to travel far and safe!
It is an unspoken rule that Ascended Gods have a closer relationship with the mortals and get to handle their affairs more often. Godly-borns tend to keep a safe distance as they lack a certain empathy only mortals possess.
The only exception is Cetrion, who tried to be a more present Goddess and directly serve her Realms residents.
I've been pondering for a while on how much of the previous timeline and Kronika Cetrion remembers, and through her redesign I think I got my answers! She remembers everything! And she's doing her hardest to go against her mother's desings for her (like I said, it's her rebellious phase, lol)
Which is why she decided to stay closer to the Ascended Gods instead, to learns from them and ultimately grow closer to the mortals under her protection. Acting as such granted her the trust and devotion of the Shirai family and all the women who would become the Order of Cetrion!
Liu Kang is an Ascended God but he pretends to be a Godly-born, because he doesn't want risk anyone finding out about his past as Time Keeper. Cetrion knows, obviously, but she keeps secret. She also knows about Geras still being around and helping but both avoid each other cause they aren't yet ready to talk about their past with Kronika.
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
Gods may be called "Elder Gods" but not because they rank above other Gods, but because they are literally older, lol! It's the same as calling an elder "sir/mr/mrs" it's just a formality (though when Cetrion calls Argus that, she means it in a derogatory way, lmao)
No God, Ascended or Godly-born, is above other. They are all equals!
Regarding on whether Shinnok is alive or not:
I'm not sure about canon, Liu said Shinnok’s Amulet "wasn't supposed to exist" and it could imply either that Shinnok specifically doesn't exist (and maybe there's a new God of Death) or that he hasn't turned evil yet!
Personally I like both ideas and could be open to either! But my main idea is that Shinnok himself doesn't exist as a deity but parts of his being are still present and manifesting in other ways, such as the hordes of darkness! (Because indeed, ou can't just erase death)
Plus, I have an old theory that the New Era also suffers with Canon Events 🎸 and as much as he tries, Liu can't just erase certain things and they end up manifesting in other ways (the Tarkatans, the Shirai Ryu vs the Lin Kuei, Hanzo and Takeda as Shirai Ryu, Tomas as a Lin Kuei, etc, etc) some things are just inevitable and they will happen one way or another, you know?
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
Okay, that's what I have for now! Hope it answers your questions (and raise some more cause I love to talk about this AU) and more importantly, hope you enjoy the reading!💕
@mikka-minns @thedragonholder @orbitinytheworld @madamealtruist You girls would like some godly lore?👀

dohyun in mk11 !!.. been thinking.... lots of thoughts about him... to keep it short-- he once was one of the few of raiden's allies who survived. but losing so many friends in battles against shao and shinnok & raiden's corruption really broke him, so he allied with kronika after he was given a promise of a new, better timeline. he's just a sad, tired, desperate swordsman that lost everything he once cared about. wah :(

Shang tsung isn't evil but a product of corruption and the environment that surrounds him. He's not evil in the sense of black n white thinking of morality. Especially from a western, psuedo Christian American perspective that so many people wanna shoehorn him into. (No shade here but im calling it like i see it nrs)
How is he evil when everyone in mortal kombat kills?
Also shao kahn quan chi and shinnok has arguably done worse
And even more so he's worked more with them, and under them(shao Kahn namely) and had no choice but to follow orders. Namely some things sure were aligned in benefit. But truly can you really argue that it was all his doing? No to say so is ignorant and undermining the other villains and antagonists of the series and their own contributions to the story narrative in opposition of protags and other characters.
The most evil is those who hide behind self righteousness and say they are for peace when they are being manipulated by promises of a better realm or timeline(cough fire god liu kang. COUGH)
Like nah guys mk12/mk1 don't make sense even for the narrative they are trying to pull. Shang is wonderful but yall missed the point even tho the storymode sucks and everything about it makes me nauseous, shang tsung shines thru because of what he represents. The story,It falls through the crack simply because of the fact
In mortal kombats chaotic and cruel world. You kill or be killed. You do what it takes to survive. Or be food for the gods. As you are nothing but entertainment for them.
Everyone kills in mortal kombat. So shang tsung killing means fucking nothing and is a moot point. He does it,everyone does it,how is he truly any different than anyone at that point. Thru mortal kombat,a supposedly Divine system,he's doing exactly what he's supposed to be doing. And what his character is designed to do. Period. So killing, moot point and argument.
Im not talking about. MK12/MK1 specifically. Tho that grinds my gears for many other reasons. Im talking shang tsung, overall as a whole as a character thru the 30+yrs the games and mk has been around. These are common arguments for that shang is "tHe EVil OnE" when there's no such thing in mks world. Truly. It's posturing and posing flowery words at that point. Period.
Stealing souls? He has to,to survive. He is cursed by the very gods and mentors that once swore to protect him. But did nothing.
Climbing for power? He does so because he wishes not to rule over. But so he doesn't have to worry about going to bed hungry,to suffer. He wants stability, comfort, and most of all security. A thing that long ago was robbed of him.
See you can't say shit about my man without having many reasons why he's not.
Could he be evil, nasty, and dowright fucking cruel? Oh you bet your ass he could. But does he enjoy it? Not really. He takes no pleasure unless it's out of necessity or you're considered an enemy.
He is no different than a hungry hunter. Trying to find his next meal or the next place of dwelling. Until he finds his true place of being and achieves a stable life.
Like ffs people it's right fucking there fine print and that still,STILL GOES OVER YOUR HEADS!
Like y'all who don't understand nuanced villains WANT him to be stereotypical,y'all want him to be easy to pinpoint. Because that means you dont get to critique your beloved "Heroic" characters. And use your brains, and critically think that maybe, just fucking maybe. Your nice dudes were wrong for once.
In mortal kombats world (if you can call it that because the world building sucks)
It's kill or be killed. Morality be damned. Shang tsung found that out long ago. Hiding behind morals in a world that could care less than about you. Gods that only see you as food, throw away entertainment, etc.
He may have respect for someone who despite all that crap, has some moral backbone. But isn't blind to the truth,it's survival. Dont be a pushover boot licking lapdog. As long as you don't hide behind your self righteousness and "goody goody" attitude. He'll respect that you have a noble heart. In fact, that may make him actually enjoy your company. But dont be a condescending jackass about your morals. And he'll be fine.
Shang tsung is just playing the game that the world is built upon. The rules, the gods, the empires, have made. And plays them well into his advantage.
And y'all pissed he plays it better than you. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
That my dears is a truly well done villain, antagonist, and just a beautifully complex character.
That's how you do or are supposed to do shang tsung. Period.
*slams hand down on table and leaves*

Self-Aware MKX Shinnok x Reader (1/2)
I've read a few self-aware fics lately and just had to write one for my crush. Since part 2 of my previous post is taking longer than expected, please enjoy this for now!
TW: Yandere, kidnapping, stalking, invasion of privacy, blackmail, hacking, computer viruses, murder/death, slight/implied NSFW
18+ to interact
Shinnok's first reaction upon reaching sentience is confusion and extreme nihilism. Confusion, because he was in the middle of a fight when suddenly a large, digital menu pops up in his face. This screen however, was different from what you as a player would see. It was more comparable to a cheat menu, allowing him to alter character models, AI, voice lines, maps and more. He could even directly modify the source code. Once he figures out what this truly means is when his nihilistic afflictions worsen. He already saw the lives of others to be worthless or at best pawns, but now that he knows everything is just a simulation? It takes every ounce of restraint in him not to immediately corrupt the game.
But with his realization comes a few questions. Aren't video games meant to be played? And if so, who's playing it? He scans through all of the data he has access to within the game's files. Eventually, he learns many things about “Mortal Kombat X” and you as the player. His first goal becomes to interact with the outside world.
So imagine that you're playing MK X on PC. Either for the first time or revisiting it. You don't have any previous save data and Shinnok is still locked behind the story mode. The only way you encounter him is via online, campaign mode, or the tower. Let's focus on campaign mode for now and assume you beat that before doing anything else.
The game plays normally at first. Shinnok doesn't want to alert you to anything while he's still limited to the confines of the game. So he gets beat up, sealed into his amulet, yada yada yada. While “sealed” he experiments more with his newfound power. He develops code for the game to run which grants him access to your system files. After creating a few viruses through Elder God magic he's able to: 1. Keep the game running in the background. 2. Start and stop other programs. 3. Access your microphone, camera, and keyboard. Now the fun really begins.
He duplicates his model and has that one take his place in the story. He's far too busy learning everything he can about the outside world to play pretend. Even in his infinite wisdom, he can't help but to have a childish curiosity as he “googles” stuff about your reality. Your world is so much like Earthrealm, but far weaker as well. No Elder Gods, no magic, not even high-level tech to defend from invasions. Not to mention it's actually real. He's salivating over how easy it would be to conquer your world when he escapes.
Shinnok gets so caught up in this that he learns his first weakness: his dependency on hardware. He learned this when the real time in the files would jump several days or even weeks ahead despite the game time seemingly being 1:1. He realizes that for now he needs to convince you to keep using your computer. And so, he shifts his focus to be on you.
At this point you're probably nearing the end of story mode. Your microphone and camera is discretely turned on to observe your reactions. He notes which characters you enjoy using the most, your responses whenever you win/lose, and whatever comments you have regarding the story. He especially enjoys it if you dunk on the heroes throughout your playthrough.
Eventually, you reach the final fight with him at the Jinsei Chamber. For his own amusement he decides that he'll be the one to fight you instead of his double. He kicks your ass. Not only can he input read, but he's also able to create his own combos. He even gets a double flawless victory just to pour salt in the wound. At this point, you're likely raging and/or tweaking the difficulty a bit. If you set it to Easy, he'll let you beat him up to a sliver of health before demolishing you. You're not a saint so you rage quit from this. He chuckles at your actions, finding them more amusing than anything he's done before.
Eventually you return to your PC/laptop. Whether that's to play Mortal Kombat or not is of no concern to him. He can watch you as long as your system is on. Each thing you do provides him more information. What shows you watch, what forums you participate in, what you do for work or school; all of it is exposed to him. He convinces himself it's just for him to learn more about the world. And besides, he has nothing to otherwise enjoy here in his artificial reality. But is this really true?
One day you end up completing campaign mode. You defeat one of his clones of course. (He would never let you win against him.) With this you unlock Shinnok as a playable character, much to your joy. “Yay! I can finally play as Shinnok!” You exclaim. The excitement written on your face and your voice shaking from anticipation. For some reason, his long since stopped heart begins to beat. Slowly at first, but it rapidly quickens to send warm blood throughout his body. A hot, fuzzy pressure pools in his chest. The last time he can recall this icky, pleasant feeling was before his fall from the Heavens.
You start using Shinnok as your main afterwards. You decide to first try him out in a tower and later a few matches. Unbeknownst to you, you're controlling the real Shinnok. It's a strange experience on his end, to allow you to manipulate him like a puppet. But he trusts you. Somehow. This all feels as natural as can be. And even if you're bad at the game, it's not like he can't help you out with a strike or two. Nor can he die if you lose either. (He's made sure that their fatalities won't work.)
This marks a change in Shinnok's behavior. While before he was passively watching you go about life, he decides to be more proactive during your time together. His stalking and information collecting increases tenfold. He's archived and accessed anything you've ever had on your PC/laptop. He analyzes the content you consume and tries to draw conclusions on what you'd like. Once he has compiled enough data, he waits until you’re occupied with something else on your computer to make a move.
The next time you open MK X you notice that something is off. Extremely off. The game immediately launches into a cutscene. The background is a black void, no hint of anything in it besides a single character. That character is Shinnok, who stands with his back facing towards you. His hands fold behind him as he turns around. “Hello (Player Name).” He says. “Or should I call you (Y/N)?” The coldest of chills slide down your spine. What is even happening right now?
“I'm aware you already know who I am, but you shall refer to me as Lord Shinnok.” He puts emphasis on the title before his name. “I have a proposal for you. Play this “video game” as often as possible and I will transform it into whatever you desire.” He pulls a hand out towards his chest and snaps a finger. The environment changes from a void to a peaceful, lush forest. Another snap and the scenery is inverted, instead depicting a hellish landscape draped in fire. One more snap and now there lies an army of people behind him. Most you recognize as the series’ roster of characters, even ones who aren't normally in the game! But there's other people too, creations that fit the aesthetic yet aren't canon.
“You could have so much fun here. To do whatever you'd like without limitations. Isn't that exciting?” He asks without expecting a response. “So, will you accept my- ” After pressing the power button for far too long, your computer finally shuts off. You breathe a sigh of relief. Glad that whatever virus you caught from MK X didn't disable the power button. You cut your computer back on. It boots up as usual. You uninstall MK X and run a virus scan just to be safe. The report shows up as clear, but in the back of your head you make a mental note to be on the lookout for any more weirdness.
In your PC's processors Shinnok is fuming. Thankfully, he had engaged in preparations that allowed him to exist even if you uninstall the game. But your attempt to delete him was severely offensive. Not to mention the fact you turned off the computer while he was talking. That was a complete lack of manners and tact on your end. However, with this he now realized he had been distracted. Distracted by his infatuation with you instead of progressing on his plans of escaping this box and ruling your Earthrealm. His messing around with you would simply have to be on hold. All until he could find a way for you to never escape him.

Bi-Han and: Sareena, Shang Tsung or Sektor
I’m pretty indifferent* when it comes to the romantic aspect of shipping Bi-Han with Shang Tsung, Sareena or female Sektor but if there is one thing I like about all those potential relationships is how the theme of freedom and/or being freed is something those three ships have in common.
Bi-Han and Sareena? In Mythologies: Sub-Zero, the demoness asked Bi-Han to take her away from Netherrealm as she wished to escape this place for a long time:
Sub-Zero: Why did you help me?  Sareena: You are still mortal... that means  you can escape the Netherealm.  Sub-Zero: There won't be anywhere to go if I don't get the amulet back.  Sareena: Take me with you... I've waited an eternity to escape.  Sub-Zero: You don't understand. I can't leave  without the...
Bi-Han couldn’t leave Netherrealm without the Shinnok’s amulet because if he failed to steal it back, Earthrealm would be destroyed. We have no idea if after fulfilling mission Sub-Zero would take Sareena with him or not, as the demoness was killed by Shinnok.
But then in Mortal Kombat X, Sareena joined Special Forces against Quan Chi and on mission confronted Revenant Kitana:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sareena: "It is possible to escape Quan Chi, Kitana. I can aid you as Bi-Han aided me." Revenant Kitana: “You became too familiar with Bi-Han. Allowed emotion to corrupt you." Sareena: "Emotion freed me!"
And though we have no idea if demoness talked about mortal Sub-Zero or Noob Saibot from between MK9 and the current game, she associates Bi-Han with escaping Quan Chi (freedom).
I have talked before how past timelines' Bi-Han and Shang Tsung share similar theme of reputation vs reality  and despite how dangerous or cunning or skilled they are, they are pretty much enslaved characters, as both were bound one way or another to their merciless masters (with the difference that Sub-Zero actually could left the clan if he had enough money, as was implied by his original ending from the first Mortal Kombat game). Noob Saibot and Shang Tsung have also in common patience to bid their time to overthrow their masters and rise to power, as was suggested by their various endings (mentioned here). So though power is associated with both men, the theme of enslavement and freeing themselves is also vital to their characters.
And with Mortal Kombat 1 (2023) we have Bi-Han wanting to reject centuries-old tradition of Lin Kuei servitude to Liu Kang and Earthrealm and even saying to his brothers how father’s teaching (tradition) should guide them, but not shackle. Only to be seen literally shacked and by allying himself with Shang Tsung, being (visually and symbolic) freed from it by no other than Shang Tsung himself.
Tumblr media
(And then NRS was a bastard and completely ignored Sub-Zero after dueling with Scorpion for the rest of the game).
This leads us to female Sektor, who shares Bi-Han’s vision of rejecting Lin Kuei servitude. In her BIO, Sektor is called Bi-Han’s kindred spirit and both are willing to go to great lengths to achieve their goal. At the end of Khaos Reings, Noob Saibot was seen put in coffin and taken to Temple of Elements,

where Liu Kang was supposed to undone the effects of Chaos Magic that influenced Bi-Han’s mind. In Sektor’s ending, Bi-Han is freed by her from being “imprisoned”:
Tumblr media
Sektor:Though I had returned to the temple after Titan Havik's defeat, I remained livid. Livid with Bi-Han's foolishness, Kuai Liang's betrayal, and Cyrax's defection to his Shirai Ryu. So when Quan Chi arrived to parley, offering to eliminate the upstart clan, I listened... For his services, Quan Chi asked that I retrieve an amulet that was locked away in the Temple of the Elements. No small task, given its wards and guardians. Though one worth understanding, if it would finish the Lin Kuei's rivals. But before I could find the amulet, I found Bi-Han. There he was, imprisoned and forgotten, when Liu Kang had promised to restore him! As I rescued Bi-Han, all thought of retrieving Quan Chi's treasure was quickly forgotten. I will never forgive Liu Kang for this betrayal. That he is a god will not stop me from seeking vengeance."
And I must say, there is something interesting about how three so different ships involving Bi-Han seem to share a similar theme of being freed. That, and the how Sareena, Sektor and Shang Tsung are all named on S.
*By indifferent, I mean I don't care one way or another, as Bi-Han is my precious aromantic & asexual cryomancer that I ship with freedom before any other character XDD

Note
Honestly, Raiden (MK 1) would be having an internal debate when seeing what happens in the timelines and seeing how his divine counterpart came to darken.
but in a way he would come to understand why he became like that, the tragedies and losses reached a point where his counterpart had to leave his own values (+the corruption that shinnok made him) and take more drastic and questionable measures to protect your home from enemies
Honestly in my mind I can't help but compare Dark Raiden as knowing Alter (fate) are the worst part of Raiden and Artoria but at the same time the saddest since in a way it represents the distortion or loss of their ideals making them seem bad. when you just want to protect your home with darker and questionable methods
In a perfect world, MK1 Raiden learns from his previous incarnation and is cautious to not let horrible situations warp his desire to protect his friends and realm.
A utopian world is MK1 Raiden STILL going through his Dark Raiden phase because it's one thing to say and train to control your anger, it's one thing when your best friend dies in your arms

Mortal Kombat OC: Demon Eye
Author’s note: this OC is the first attempt I will be making at reconstructing the basic ideas behind MK12 fusion characters from chapter 15 into OCs, as I feel new characters are more valuable than goofy amalgams
Tumblr media
Bio:
“Demon Eye”, so nicknamed for her heterochromia which caused her to have one distinctive red eye, was a reliable member of the Black Dragon clan. A survivor from some particularly mean streets of New York City, she quickly fell in with the clan’s style of operation and took a delight in being able to have power over the dangerous individuals she once feared and brazenly attack the corrupt police.
At the time of her joining, Kano had ascended to leadership of the Black Dragon sect that Demon Eye was a part of, and the one that gave her her nickname. Eager to prove herself within the organization, Demon Eye was loyal to Kano for many months. However, loyalty seldom held any actual rewards within the Black Dragon.
After losing an eye to a rival in the criminal underworld, Kano sought the cybernetics expertise of the illusive Doctor Rotwang.
Rotwang offered Kano his then-latest invention, a cybernetic eye implant capable of firing a condensed laser, something Rotwang had created after years of attempting to miniaturize the cybernetic heart apparatus he had previously invented for the Chinese military.
Though typically known for his brazenness and lack of forward thinking, Kano was often cautious when it came to his own survival. He wanted to see how the eye would graft to a human without being the initial test subject himself. To that end, he asked Demon Eye to undergo the procedure first. When she refused, Kano’s enforcers strapped her to Rotwang’s operating table.
The process was excruciating and left Demon Eye with scars inside and out that would remain with her for years. The implant was successfully inserted, though the event gave Rotwang the inspiration to streamline the procedure, which was of little consolation to Demon Eye.
Once free from her restraints, she attempted to kill Kano and Rotwang, only to be gunned down by Kano’s primary enforcer, Quinn.
With her death, Demon Eye’s soul descended into the darkness of the Netherrealm.
In a cruel twist of fate, the unknowable afterlife realm did not rebirth her as a demon, Oni, wraith, or other creature. Instead, she found herself having formed into an exact recreation of her mortal human body. A hell in itself, after what she had been through.
Aimless and even more desperate to survive in this infernal place, Demon Eye eventually found and joined the ranks of the Brotherhood of Shadow. Their god, Shinnok, offered an ascension from the cruel planes of the Netherrealm into the world of the living, where retribution would be exacted upon all who wronged his followers in life. The powerful sorcery of the cult’s leader Quan Chi, particularly his ability to create portals, convinced Demon Eye of the sincerity of these claims, and she accepted the Brotherhood’s mission as her own.
Now, that promised ascension is at hand, as Shinnok is close to escaping the Netherrealm and taking his followers with him to invade the mortal realms. Demon Eye volunteers to be a part of the force that will storm Earthrealm, having turned her back on humanity due to the circumstances of her prior life, and in particular eager to get revenge upon Kano.
