What in the world is going on here? It's a 1980 build in Ozark, AR with 4bds, 3ba, and is only $249,900. Over these doors, the signs say "Corvettes" & "Peacocks." Strange. Well, maybe it's nice inside. Let's go look.
Kind of weird layout, but it's large. So, this must be the living/dining room combo, b/c there are 2 chandeliers. The beamed ceiling appears to be painted corrugated metal sheets.
The living room is huge, but what are those beams standing in the middle of the dining room? There appears to be a doorway and a table behind this part of the blue wall that's open, on the left.
Off the dining room is a large kitchen with dated cabinetry. Removing the top rail, new hardware and painting them would be an upgrade.
Here's a very large laundry room that appears to have a fireplace.
Don't know what this is. A craft room? Someone really likes to build spindle room separators.
There are lots of open separating spindle/railing structures in this house.
The secret primary bedroom? The door is a bookcase.
Okay, I don't see a window.
Weird bath. What is up with these railings? There are stairs in this bathroom to get to the sink and tub.
This must be bedroom #2 and it has a wall of built-in shelves, plus a closet and lights over the bed area. No windows, though.
Bedroom #3 is carpeted, has those spindle things around the headboard and 2 chandeliers. Again, no windows.
Bath #2. Interesting. There's a step to the shower and I don't know what's on that platform next to the sink. Maybe a tub.
Bedroom #4. I don't know what to say about it. There don't seem any windows in this house.
I guess that this is not considered a bedroom b/c it doesn't have a closet (no windows, either).
This room is off a big workshop. Clearly where they make the room separators.
Is this a bar?
Cute room.
Here's the saloon.
Looks like it's not done, yet.
Here's a nice stone wall. This looks like it will be for tables in the saloon.
Another bedroom that can't be counted as such.
Bath under construction. The pedestal sink is nice.
You can take the stairs or the yellow side down the deck and there's also a gazebo on the 1.15 acre lot.
It could be beautiful in here- look, it's where the cat hangs out.

I show you lots of quick and easy construction techniques using readily available and affordable materials that can be purchased at most hobby stores. I show you how to make models from foam core, and add a realistic finish by applying clapboard made from basswood and balsa wood, along with board and batten finishes and ordinary wood planks. I show you how to create realistic windows made from 3D printed parts, how to weather paint with acrylic paint chipping medium and packing tape, how to weather with acrylic washes and india ink, how to used real dirt for dioramas, how to make a model railway track from scratch, how to make rusty corrugated metal roofing, how to make balsa wood shingles, and much more!
I used a Bachmann 4-6-0 steam locomotive for this Wild West diorama. Let me know what you think! This would be a great setting for a model railroad layout, or miniature table top war gaming.

Rules: share some writing!
I think I'll share a bit from Echoes of Shadows
"You're right, I don't have a reason to live anymore," Johan slowly rose to his feet, shrugging off his jacket as he did, "I've only got another half a year in me anyways, maybe less at the rate I'm going,"
From where she waited in hiding, Anastasia felt her breath hitch, and actually had to fight to lean out of cover even further to get a better look at her friend- for all intents and purposes, her brother. He looked fine, the pinnacle of health! If he were telling the truth, he'd at least look the part, right? Surely he was just bluffing? Drawing attention away from-
The pendant, the realisation hit her like a shotgun to the gut, Anna you fucking imbecile, he wears the pendant constantly.
And that she couldn't refute. The same pendant that had forcibly kept her alive after having her own heart torn out was what he wore day in and day out. Was it actively keeping him alive? Slowing whatever was apparently eating away at his life?
She felt dazed, disoriented. Suddenly her little hidey-hole felt claustrophobic in a way it hadn't before. She needed to get out. She needed fresh air. She needed time to-
She needed to focus. She had a job to do. Violently, she reigned in the whirlwind of thoughts into submission and kept listening for her cue, watching with renewed worry as Johan put down his jacket- which had been folded neatly in the meantime- and began to roll up his sleeves, much to the confusion of the assembled cultists.
"But there is something I have in abundance: Good friends. People with a shot of still making something of their lives and far more deserving of the opportunity than I'll ever be," He spoke as he rolled up and secured both sleeves around his upper arm, revealing lanky yet scarred limbs beneath.
Without warning, he threw his arms out to his sides, shaking hands clenched painfully around what seemed to merely be air, distorting it in hourglass shaped waves around him. A sudden, unholy rumble and creaking seemed to boil up out of the ground, as though the city itself were enduring torturous pain. Pipes rattled in walls, working loose bolts; ill-maintained and badly installed railings clattered; and an oddly rhythmic beat began to pulse as flimsy sheets of metal lying about in the form of old signs or corrugated plates were forcibly flexed in and out by an unseen force.
This was it: the symphony of magic, the sound of humanity driven and honed to it's apex. If only for a moment, the divide between man and raw power healed, and the universe shuddered- though whether in fear, exhilaration or som eldritch awe, no one could tell.
Anastasia felt one of her knives beginning to work its way loose from the sheath on her boot, and quickly reached down to better secure it.
"Sure, I have nothing worth living for," He clenched his fists hard and everything ceased, though it was permeated not by relief but by dread. A deep breath before a taxing sprint, "But I sure as spirits have something worth dying for,"

hiking trails in New Mexico: the actual trail begins at an unassuming boulder marker 500 yards away from the road, and isn't so much a trail as it is the path of least resistance through the chaparral. The corrugated metal bridge set up in the 70s (on top of the old rail tie bridge set up in the 30s) fell apart, so unfortunately you will have to scramble down and up The Gorge to proceed. Once you have reached the mesa you must climb 700 feet at an 80 degree angle using handstairs carved 1500 years ago. The crevice with the stairs is the only shade on the entire hike.
round trip: 5.5 miles, 14 if a flash flood through The Gorge makes it impossible to cross at the trail
elevation gain: 700 ft, abruptly
difficulty: leathery archaeologist
hiking trails on the west coast: Begin climbing on a soft earthen trail through beautiful douglas fir-western hemlock forest for 2.5 miles along a series of switchbacks, then break from the tree cover for 1 mile of straight even trail through a stunning wildflower meadow just below the ridgeline, after which the trail makes a sharp right and continues to the summit with a further 2 miles of switchbacks. Enjoy beautiful views of the nearest dormant stratovolcano and also at least two waterfalls and a crystal-clear alpine lake along the way. Round trip: 11 miles, 3,000ft elevation gain. Difficulty: moderate :)
hiking trails on the east coast: Go 1.5 miles up. Yes, straight up. Switchbacks? What are you, a baby? Are you a little child? Fuck you. Go up. [Seasonal note: first half of trail is a running stream during mud season and a multipitch ice climbing route during winter.] Round trip: 3 miles, 1,200ft elevation gain. Difficulty: jesus christ

Mystery of the Cascade Tunnel
In 1929, the Great Northern Railroad built a second Cascade Tunnel near the first. At 7.8 miles in length, it is the railroad tunnel in the United States. Once this tunnel was finished, the railroad abandoned the Wellington tunnels and rail lines.
In the 1990s, the U.S. government built the Iron Goat Trail, which begins at Martin Creek, near milepost 55 on Highway 2, and runs through Stevens Pass to the Wellington ghost town. From the trail, visitors can see the remains of the old rail lines, supporting structures, and a train crash at the bottom of the canyon.
Some friends and I walked through the tunnels. There was no electricity, so we relied on headlamps and flashlights. Near the tunnel entrance and just off the tracks we found a built-in room, which was probably created for railroad employees. We could see someone had been holding parties there: They left behind beer cans, dirty blankets, and other things.
We continued walking through the tunnel for what seemed like an hour. It was cold and damp, and at one point, we encountered a fog bank. After a while, we came to a strange modification to the tunnel. It had been blocked by a partition made of wood and covered with corrugated metal. There was a small door in the wall. "Wait till you see what's on the other side," my friend Ross said.
We walked through the open door and came to the rotting remains of a wooden platform and the walls of a small shack. There was lots of fiberglass insulation, and oddly, someone had strung lines of high voltage conduit along the walls of the tunnel. From what I know about wiring and construction, I guessed this all was set up in the late 1960s or 1970s.
We walked for as much as another half mile before coming out of the tunnel. The wiring, insulators, and conduit ran along its remaining length, and along the way, we also found two or three concrete pads that had been poured directly on top of the train tracks.
So, what was it all for? I have never been a conspiracy theorist, but I was thinking that something like this would have taken a lot of money and authority. Had the tunnel been used as some kind of storage facility-possibly for hidden missiles? I suggest this to someone, and he laughed, saying that there had been an earthquake monitoring station in the tunnels several years ago. There went the conspiracy theory-unless of course that was the cover story. -Jefferson Davis
SAD Story of the Cascade Tunnel
This is the end of the old Cascade Tunnel at Wellington. Wellington was the site of a large avalanche in 1910 that killed many people. The tunnel was still in operation until the late 1930s when it was replaced by another tunnel through the Cascade Mountains. The irony is that the only letters left on the CASCADE sign are s,a,d. -Choi Halladay
