Pt1 can be found here
Warnings: mentions of death and mental health problems. It’s not very detailed but it is mentioned so if that triggers you don’t read it. Take care of yourself.
With that being said, enjoy reading💕
———————————————————————
A few weeks had gone by since Alessia and Lotte had left the states, but the Corona situation had only worsened since then.
You left Chaphill a week after the two English girls to go back to your family in New York.
Alessia and you called each other daily. Sometimes you called her in the morning, and you would make breakfast for yourself and your little sister while she ate lunch or did her exercises. Sometimes it would already be night in England, and you would talk about your day while the blonde would just listen to you until she fell asleep.
The distance was hard for you both, as you were used to being in close proximity 24/7, but you managed.
But it got harder and harder when your girlfriend called you less and less. When you did talk to each other, you could sense that something was wrong, but you didn’t want to pressure Lessi.
When Alessia hadn’t talked to you in over two days with not even a text, you got worried.
You were scared that you had done anything. That she didn’t love you anymore. But also, maybe something had happened. Whenever the two of you talked, she looked drained with swollen and red-rimmed eyes. She looked like she had cried a lot, and it made you sick that you didn’t know what had happened to her.
So on the second day, she hadn’t called or answered your text, so you decided to call Lotte.
„Hey Y/N. What happened? You look like you cried."
Lotte had answered the second you dialed her number.
A son escaped your lips, and Lotte was instantly concerned.
„Calm down. Talk to me. What’s going on?"
„Lessi, she, I think she, she wants to break up with me."
You sobbed.
„Lessi wants what? Why would you say that? That girl is heads over heels in love with you.“
Lotte looked at you like you had lost your head or something. A few days ago, you would have believed her in an instant, but now you're not so sure.
"She hasn’t called me or answered my text in the last two days. That’s so unlike her. She called me even two or three times a day not many days ago, and then it got less and less, and the texts got shorter and shorter, and now she stopped altogether.“
You explained to Lotte, who looked more and more worried.
„Y/n I don’t think that that has anything to do with you. She hasn’t talked to me either, and the last time we talked, she looked so tired and sad."
Now you felt really bad. You had noticed that something was up with your girlfriend, but instead of trying to help her, you got stuck in your own head.
"You are right, Lotts. She looked like she had cried a lot when we last talked.“
„You know what? I will drive over tomorrow and look at how she is doing. I call you when I know more."
„Thank you, Lotts. I feel so stupid. I should have released that something wasn’t right. I wish I was with you guys. I want to help Lessi, but I feel like I am too far away.“
It took you a few hours to comprehend what Lotte had said.
You really felt dumb. The way you noticed her red and swollen eyes, her small voice when she talked, the way she seemed to be miles away—never once had you thought about why she was like that. Your mind had gone straight to thinking she would break up with you.
Now angry at yourself, you threw your mobile phone across the room, only to scramble to your feet and quickly make your way over to it when it started ringing.
You looked at your screen, which read “star girl." Stunned, you looked at the clock. It was around 3 a.m. in the morning in London. Now concerned about Alessia, you quickly accepted the face-time call.
You could barely make Alessia out in the darkness of her room, but you could definitely hear her sniffling.
“Lessi Baby? What’s wrong?” You asked, concerned, but she didn’t answer you.
"Baby, you scare me. You can talk to me; you know that, right?” It was silent for a few seconds, but it felt like hours until the blonde quietly started to talk.
"He, he is gone, Y/N."
Immediately, your heart sank. "They said he was better; they said he would be released soon. I don’t know what to do; y/n, he is gone.“
You watched as Alessia started to cry, and you wished nothing more than to be there with her. To be able to hold her. You knew she was talking about her grandpa. The situation in Italy was still tense. A lot of people were dying because of COVID, but until now, no one close to you was affected. Now that had changed, and you couldn’t imagine how Alessia must feel.
„Baby I am so sorry. I wish I could hold you. Is there anything I can do for you?“ You asked, now hating this whole situation even more.
Alessia's blue eyes were chiming with tears, and you had to fight back your own. Seeing Alessia like this broke you.
„Can you just talk to me? I haven’t slept since yesterday, when we got the call. Every time I close my eyes, I see his face."
„Of course I can. Anything specific?“ Your girlfriend shook her head.
„My parents are thinking of adopting a dog. They said that with me and also my sister going to college next year, they will be lonely. I felt betrayed that now that I am out of the house, they want a dog. You know I wanted one since I was little.“
And so you talked to her for the next few hours. Here and there, Alessia would hum or nod her head at you to show that she was listening. Slowly, you noticed her eyelids dropping and watched her fall into a restless sleep.
You stayed on the phone even after she fell asleep. As you watched her, a lone tear made its way down your cheek.
A few hours later, you woke up feeling slightly disoriented. You grabbed your phone from where it lay next to you.
Alessia had sent you a thank-you text and had wished you a good day.
That’s how the next few days went. At first, Alessia called you after she couldn’t fall asleep for hours, but you couldn’t see her struggling even more, so you started to call her around six p.m. London time. Often, Alessia just wanted to hear your voice, and you obliged, telling her about your day. One day you even played on your guitar after what felt like years. You started playing when you were little, but it got less and less in recent years. Now you were singing for her songs that you thought she liked or that she requested.
She didn’t know that you could play or sing, but she loved it, and so did you.
It kind of got therapeutic for you too, and slowly you started playing for yourself again, even when you were not talking to Alessia.
When the summer neared, you got increasingly excited.
Alessia was feeling better; at least that was what she told you.
You could still see the pain in her eyes, and you knew that she wasn’t as well as she said, but she was slowly getting there. Her smiles became more real again, and you knew she slept better because the begs under her eyes got less prominent.
Around early June, you went back to campus, and this time you took your guitar with you.
Over the last few weeks, you even started to write little songs. Nothing was good in your opinion, but it helped you sort out your thoughts.
Alessia and Lotte called you one afternoon when you were sitting in your dorm room with your guitar in hand, and they were both really buzzing. You felt the good energy as soon as you accepted the call.
„We are coming back!“ Was the first thing that Allesia shouted.
„Wait what?“ You asked, perplexed.
„Yes, we just booked our flight for next week. The restrictions aren’t as bad as before, and we want to get back as soon as possible. I know Blondie over here has missed you an awful lot, but I missed you almost as much," answered Lotte, and you couldn’t help the big grin that spread over your face when Alessia punched Lotte lightly on the shoulder.
„No way, guys, I am so excited. When are you back? I’ll pick you up from the airport. I can’t believe it. I missed you both. Campus and everything just isn’t the same without you Brits.“ You laughed.
That’s how you found yourself in the airport in North Carolina only five days later, impatiently waiting for the two girls to arrive.
And with almost one and a half hours of delay, they landed. As soon as you saw Alessia, you couldn’t help yourself, and you sprinted right into her arms. She had dropped her luggage to be able to hoist you up into her arms. You wrapped your legs around her waist, clinging to her like a koala.
„Oh how I have missed you." Whispered Lessi into your ear, not letting go of you. You answered by kissing her. It felt so good to have her lips on yours again.
After what felt like hours but in reality were only a few seconds, Lotte interrupted you two. „I know you guys love each other and missed each other so much, but I also missed you. Can I at least get a hug?“
Both Lessi and you couldn’t help but laugh before your girlfriend let you down, and you hugged Lotte. „I missed you too, Lotts.“
The next few weeks were the best you had for a while. Being able to spend time with your girlfriend made you extremely happy, and you could see that Alessia was feeling better too.
Of course, there were days when she was feeling down, but being able to just hug you was enough to make her better.
On days she was feeling especially down, you would get out your guitar and play something for her. You even taught her a few accords.
But soon you noticed that not all things were back to perfect.
At training, there was uncertainty about stuff and players. No one knew what the season would bring.
It wasn’t decided whether the games would be held as normal or if there would even be a college cup.
Training was hard if no one knew what they trained for.
You noticed that Lotte and Alessia were not happy with the situation.
„When we don’t have games, we are losing our opportunities.“ Said Lotte one evening when you were sitting together with the whole team. Of course, she was right. Without games to watch for national or club coaches, they would lose their spot on the national team and chances for a professional contract after college.
„I talked with the guffer today. He said he has no idea what’s going to happen this season. I also asked my brother what I should do. He recommended looking for offers back in England.“ Said Alessia while she was cuddled by your side. You didn’t want the girls to leave again, but you knew the situation would probably be the best. „What about you guys? Do you consider playing outside the U.S.?“ asked Lois. You watched as your friends answered. „I don’t know. My dream was always to play in the NWSL. It doesn’t really matter to me anyway. I‘ve got two years of college left, and my mother would literally disown me if I dropped out.“ The fact that you were a year younger than most of your close friends and girlfriend just hit you. Knowing that you would be left behind for a year even without this whole Corona thing going on.
Alessia noticed that your mind was starting to wander. Your habit of overthinking is getting the better of you again. So you hadn’t noticed her standing up. Only once did she pull you towards her, carefully maneuvering you out of the room.
„Baby breath. Breath. I am here. Follow my breathing. That’s it, baby. Slowly. Yes. There you are.“ Slowly, your breathing settled down.
„I don’t want you to leave. Not again.“ You whispered, and Alessia pulled you against her. Wrapping her strong arms around your body. „No matter what. I'll always love you. I know it was hard for us both, but we can do it again. I will visit whenever I can, and I promise you I will always be one call away. I know it may not seem like this right now, but I know for sure that you and I are forever.“ She kissed you hard, like a promise.
Your eyes were still closed when she pulled away slightly.
„I know we are still young…“ You felt her move away from your body and watched her get a jewelry box out. You opened your mouth, but she interrupted you. "Don't worry, I am not proposing. At least not yet.“ You couldn’t help but chuckle.
"It's a promise ring. I promise that I will never desert you. I promise that one day I will go down on that knee. A promise of a future together. "I promise that even though there might be thousands of kilometers between us, I will always be there for you.“ Tears streamed down your face as you watched her. Heart racing, you put your hand out for her to put the ring on your finger. „Not yet, baby. There is something on the inside I want you to look at."
Carefully, you grabbed the ring. Written in cursive were the words ‚We will take on the world‘ a sentence that both of you had repeatedly said to each other.
„I love you so much.“ You said this, grabbing her face with your hands and kissing her hard.

About death in the middle of the Corona outbreak according to Denny Ja 26
In the midst of the plague of Corona that is engulfing this world, we often hear about cases of death caused by this virus. However, is there an interesting facts that we might not know yet? In this article, we will reveal some interesting facts about death in the middle of the Corona outbreak in the view of Denny JA 26.    The view of Denny JA 26, an expert who is an expert in the social and political fields, gives an interesting picture of death in the middle of the Corona outbreak. One interesting fact is that the mortality rate due to this virus can be influenced by age. According to Denny JA 26, elderly people have a higher risk of death compared to younger people. This is because the immune system of older people is usually weaker, making it difficult for them to fight the corona virus infection.    In addition, Denny Ja 26 also revealed that comorbities or comorbidity can increase the risk of death from the Corona virus. For example, if someone suffers from heart disease, diabetes, or other respiratory disorders, they have a higher risk to experience serious complications due to this virus. Therefore, it is important for all of us to maintain a healthy body and have a healthy lifestyle in order to reduce the risk of death caused by this plague.    In addition to the age and accompanying disease factors, Denny Ja 26 also highlighted the importance of environmental factors in the spread of the corona virus and related deaths. According to him, areas with high levels of air pollution can worsen the symptoms and complications caused by this virus. Air pollution can cause respiratory problems and weaken the immune system, thereby increasing the risk of death. Therefore, it is important for the government and the community to work together in reducing air pollution to protect our health.    In addition to these factors, Denny Ja 26 also highlighted the importance of access to adequate health services in facing the Corona outbreak. According to him, access to adequate health facilities can accelerate the diagnosis, care, and treatment needed. With easy and fast access, the risk of death can be reduced because the patient can immediately get the right treatment. Therefore, it is important for the government and the community to work together in ensuring that everyone has fair and adequate access to health services.    In Denny Ja 26’s view, it is important for all of us to maintain a healthy body and remain aware of the Corona virus. Denny Ja 26 stressed the importance of maintaining hand cleanliness, using masks, and maintaining social distance as an effective prevention step. By taking these steps, we can protect ourselves and those around us from the risk of transmission of the corona virus.    Along with efforts to prevent and overcome, Denny Ja 26 also reminded us to remain calm and not panic. According to him, panic will only worsen the situation and disturb the peace of mind needed in the face of this outbreak. Therefore, it is important for us to continue to follow valid information and follow the steps recommended by the authorized health authority.    In conclusion, death in the midst of the Corona outbreak is indeed a frightening fact.

Changes in Hartemic Pandemic One of the most visible effects of pandemic is a change in the status of certain individual and group wealth. For example, some rich people have lost most of their wealth due to impairment of stock and negative influence on their business. On the other hand, several sectors such as information technology and pharmaceutical companies have experienced significant increases. Individuals who invest in these sectors may have seen an increase in their wealth during the Pandemic period. In addition, Pandemic has also influenced the work and income sector. Poverty in the pandemic period Pandemic has worsened the problem of poverty that has existed before. Many people have lived in poverty before Pandemic faces greater challenges in meeting their basic needs. Many lose their jobs and do not have adequate financial security to survive in this difficult situation. In addition, access to health and education services is also more difficult for those who live in poverty. The government and non-government organizations have tried to reduce the impact of pandemic on poverty through various social and economic assistance programs. Cash assistance, food packages, and job training programs have been launched to help those who are the worst affected. However, the challenges faced in overcoming the problem of poverty during this pandemic are very large, and there is still a lot of work that must be done to achieve significant results. Conclusion The Covid-19 pandemic period has caused significant changes in terms of hartawan and poverty. Some rich people lose most of their wealth, while certain sectors have increased profits. On the other hand, many people lose their jobs and face greater challenges in meeting their basic needs. Efforts have been made by the government and non-governmental organizations to reduce the impact of pandemic on poverty. However, there is still a lot of work that must be done to achieve significant results in overcoming this problem. Cooperation and collaboration are needed from various parties to ensure that the right assistance and programs are aimed at those in need. In addition, long-term steps also need to be taken to build better economic and social resilience, so that people can be more resilient in facing an uncertain future.

This work gives a strong picture of the reality we face today, as well as the effects experienced by individuals and society at large. Pandemic Virus Corona has changed the world in a way that we have never imagined before. Health and death are the main focus in our daily lives. In this work, Denny JA 26 succeeded in expressing feelings, uncertainties, and anxiety experienced by many people in this difficult Masamasa. When we see this work, we are immediately presented with a strong picture of death. Death which is usually a taboo topic and is difficult to talk about, is presented clearly and firmly in this work. Denny Ja 26 wants to remind us of the fragility of human existence and involve us in in -depth reflection on life and death. Through the use of strong symbolism, Denny JA 26 depicts death by using a human skeleton wrapped in the Corona virus. This illustrates efforts to curb death, but also shows how vulnerable we are to the threat. This work also highlighted how death has changed our perception of life and gave us greater awareness of our limitations as humans. In this work, Denny JA 26 also explores the social impact produced by Pandemi. By describing a separate and isolated human framework with each other, he described the feeling of solitude and separation that we experienced during this period. This work arouses the empathy in us, reminds us that we all share the same experience, even though physically separate. In addition, this work also presents awareness of social injustice that is exacerbated by Pandemi. Denny Ja 26 uses contrasting color, such as black and red, to reflect the inequality in the community. He wants to raise problems such as the inequality of access to health services and social inequality which further worsen the situation during this pandemic. However, behind a serious message, this work also offers hope and calm. Denny JA 26 uses the shades of light and contrast in color to create a calm atmosphere even in the midst of an anxiety situation. He wants to remind us that even though we are facing a hard time, we have the strength and toughness in ourselves to go through this challenge. In "Death in the Corona virus era," Denny Ja 26 has created a strong and influential work of art. This work gives us the opportunity to reflect on life, death, and impact produced by Pandemi. Denny Ja 26 invites us to face this difficult reality with an upright head and inspire us to find calm and hope in the midst of darkness. This artwork not only describes this pandemic clearly, but also invites us to think more deeply about the world around us and our role as individuals and society. Through this work, Denny JA 26 has succeeded in communicating a strong message about the importance of solidarity, critical thinking, and an open attitude in facing the challenges faced by humanity.

EDUCATION AND YOUTH UNEMPLOYMENT REALITIES IN AFRICA
With the youth accounting for over 60% of Africa’s population, the continent has overwhelming potential for development and economic growth. In the context of population dynamism, Africa’s burgeoning young population reflects member countries’ potential for increased production and active participation in various economic and developmental activities. Regardless, this young population remains merely a recipient of human development infrastructure, including higher education while development reports continue to criticize Africa as a whole for its unsustainable demographic growth. African youth population is steadily growing with a projection that it will constitute 42% of global youth by 2030. This is a great cause for concern on the part of policymakers as population growth means more spending on food security and healthcare in the face of a youth Unemployment approaching crisis proportions.
With the whole wide world recovering from the sweeping ripple effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, Africa has been working to equip the youth for an increasingly evolving local and international labour markets. Now more than ever, tertiary education is the front and centre of everyone’s personal development and the continent at large. But there comes a million dollar question: Is tertiary education in Africa alive to the realities of youth unemployment growing rapidly in different countries around the continent? Bakary Manka, a Debt Collector at an international health company in the Gambia, West Africa, explains the gap between his country’s tertiary education and the alarming levels of youth unemployment:
“…I think that’s where the major problem is in the Gambia here. It’s in the education sector, which has not adequately addressed these problems [youth unemployment]. School prepares us to be an employee. School does not entrepreneurship programs whereby students will get this mindset of: when I’m done with done college, when I get my degree, I will create my own business and start doing things on my own. Most of us who go to school are always taught how to prepare a CV…we are taught how to apply for jobs.”
The Gambian situation as detailed by Mr. Manka is no unique as it is almost widespread around the world’s second largest continent. Even when it’s quite evident that governments cannot provide employment for every graduate and citizen, leaders have often than not failed to provide political will and direction towards a skills-based economy where everyone can thrive based on their skillset. This partly contributes to the African desperate journeys and brain-drain phenomena, which is more prevalent in West Africa.
“Though the COVID has worsened the situation….there’s been an alarming rate of unemployment [all along] in the Gambia here. The rate of youth unemployment according to latest statistics is at 51% [and] the government has not put anything in place to address the situation,” Manka who holds a Masters degree in Finance and Accounting told the African International Magazine in an exclusive online interview.
“Because if you look at statistics, before even the Corona [COVID-19 outbreak], there had been lots of irregular migrations of Gambians going to Europe in search of greener pasture. So you can see that the high rate of youth unemployment has been there for a long time. They [Gambian youth illegally] use Libya or Morocco in order to go to Italy or Spain and most of them die in the Mediterranean Sea. Almost every year, Germany and other European countries deport these youths back home here…”
The problem of irregular labour migration from Africa into Europe is complex and it remains thematic in demographic research. Studies have steadily shown that the search for employment opportunities is the most common reason for illegal African migration. Except this, lack of better education and globalization contribute to these dangerous migrations.
For Lisa Kaseba, a prominent young chef working at one of Zambia’s finest hotels, Latitude 15, her views on Zambian education in general are quite radical and she is opposed to schools making learners take many subjects that rarely align with their interests:
“…in Zambia, we need to change the curriculum; so to say. What our friends do [in Italy], they start training their children at the age of 10.Teachers observe the child; they observe what the child is good at and they learn accordingly. Let’s say the child is good at things related to construction; he/she will start learning related subjects until university level. I think this is what we’re lacking in Zambia. Zambian learners take a lot of unnecessary subjects that don’t even relate to their interests. This drains people.”
Ms Kaseba, a Zambia-Italy trained professional chef was speaking to this publication on the subject of entrepreneurship; something she does as her side hustle. She acknowledges the growing unemployment rate in her country, which she partly blames on an education that is notable for teaching theories rather than skills critical to enabling self-employment. The soft-spoken young chef also talked about basic skills monetization as something important in the face of formal employment scarcity.
“If you’re good at something, even if you haven’t gone to school for it but you know that it can help you have money.. For example there are people talented at plaiting hair and barbing in general; these are skills which one can improve and make money at the end of the day. I’m speaking so because I also started baking way before I went to college and I have continued doing this for a side hustle…..This is because entrepreneurship is self-employment and it you’re always your own boss.”
Khalid Abdelmaaruf Eltayeb Mohammed from Sudan hold similar views as preceding interviewees. The Telecom Engineer currently volunteering as an assistant teacher says, “Our vocational education is weak and poor….heavy investment should be dedicated to building classes and workshops to equip learners with necessary skills. Mohammed adds that Sudan’s education needs restructuring to meet modern-day demands. Sudan is among several other African countries grappling with a plethora of socio-economic problems due to unstable politics.
A Cameroonian student of Translation, Sokoudjou Linda, added to the conversation of education and employment in Cameroon; “I can say more than 60% of graduates are unemployed.” Linda pointed out the Cameroonian education offers market relevant knowledge and skills but jobs remain because due to poor choices with regards to study programs:
“Cameroonian education, depending on the training you choose and the need of the market, gives relevant skills for survival even without formal employment……. For example, in Cameroon we have many students choosing philosophy; but the country does not really need many specialists in that domain.”
The consensus on modern African education clearly leans towards technical skills and entrepreneurship. Manka ably explained what the Gambia ought to do to address youth unemployment and stimulate socio-economic development. His views would still apply almost everywhere in Africa.
“There is need to promote entrepreneurship skills through putting few administrative laws and introduce tax breaks for small businesses. Let’s say you’re small business owner and you won’t pay tax for five years,” Manka added.
Linda holds a similar view and acknowledged the fact that many Cameroonian youths would want to venture in entrepreneurship and business but the environment is not favourable and access to finance still remains low among young people:
“Government should try to create favourable conditions for youths to develop business in their country and even receive some assistance.”
Given these realities around education and employment in Africa, it is important for governments and scholars around the continent to rethink education and have it tailored according to problems facing us. As Manka appealed, “Our education should teach more on African realities…We have a lot problems here. We need to learn how to solve our problems.” Africa needs an education that will radically provoke innovation and creativity among its youth because times have significantly changed and the ground beneath our feet has shifted.

Concerns About Employment After Graduation: A Survey of First Professional Year Pharmacy Students Biomedical Journal of Scientific & Technical Research
https://biomedres.us/fulltexts/BJSTR.MS.ID.005790.php
In the 21st century, the quality of education has tremendously improved, while the percentage of educated people increases. While this achievement has provided a positive impact on society, it has also brought about new challenges. One of the main challenges is the issue of employment after graduation. The rate of job creation has not increased proportionately with the increase in graduates graduating every year. As a result, the situation leads to a new social phenomenon where a growing number of graduates are increasingly becoming unemployed. The case is only likely to worsen under the current economic conditions further exacerbated by the coronavirus pandemic. The Michigan State’s Collegiate Employment Research Institute recently conducted a study on the recruiting trends in the current post-corona job market by surveying 2,408 employers. The researchers found that about 25% of the employers had suspended plans to recruit employees from colleges 2. A quarter of the respondents had also decided not to offer full-time positions to recent college graduates2. In 2020, the unemployment rate of young people aged between 15 and 24 sharply increased to 27.4% in April1 as the United States education stakeholders increase their efforts to ensure that the number of students graduating increases, there is a risk that the number of unemployed graduates is going to increase. Therefore, all education stakeholders need to come up with possible solutions to this problem. In recent years, there have been numerous discussions concerning the saturation of the pharmacy field after a period of unprecedented growth in pharmacy graduates and no subsequent dramatic expansion of pharmacist jobs. These discussions have led to considerable fear among many Pharm.D. candidates about acquiring quality employment.

Starlight Études: Prelude
What you hadn’t expected from being on the Enterprise was that you would find Science Officer Spock so… so arresting. ( • Fugue >)
Pairing: Spock x F!Reader (no Y/N) Warnings: A swear, gratuitous musical references, slow burn WC: 3.7k (chapter) Rating: Teen A/N: Blame @starfleetstgmgr who read my Sarek X Reader fic and asked for one set in her Star and Dove universe where Reader is her OC Leah Pike’s cadet. Please read Matter of Time (it’s long but so worth it). You can get a précis in the first chapter of Mycosis.  Reader is a cadet of the Starfleet Diplomatic Corps, on placement on the Enterprise.
Tumblr media
Prelude — a short piece of music, the form of which may vary, which serves as an introduction.
You had been a little anxious. Of course you had – you were to train as a cadet under Fleet Ambassador Pike. On the Enterprise. She is a legend in the service, being almost single-handedly responsible for fast tracking Kaminar into Federation membership. There is still work to do before they become full members but no other member of the Starfleet Diplomatic Corps had gotten close to anything remotely like that. Especially since only a couple years ago one of the species on the planet had literally been culling and eating the other. Every one of your classmates had been envious, and some of them had out and out said so.
You had worked hard to get this posting, though, and you were determined to prove yourself. You had remained calm when you had your test for the Enterprise; it had taken you a little while to recognise that it was a test, but you had had all the regulations down in your first couple of months, and… you believed in Starfleet. You believed in the Diplomatic Corps. You believed in doing things the right way. And your beliefs and hard work had carried you through.
You’ve been on the ship a few days, now, and you think that you’re getting the feel of things.
The ambassador had smiled as she walked into her office on the second day for your pre-briefing meeting – you had her hazelnut cappuccino ready on her desk, and it did smell good. You weren’t sucking up, not really, but you were getting your double espresso and you thought you might as well.
On the fourth day you had summarised the diplomatic briefings you were privy to – nothing about the Klingons; that was above your clearance level – and you highlighted the worsening situation in the Jeyra system in Kaminar’s sector, and the news that had come in overnight that Xahea were sending aid to the colony on Beta Corona IV after a blight of some sort caused their main harvest to fail. You presented the PADD to the ambassador with her coffee, and waited as she read it over.
“Well, Cadet, excellent summary. Looks like you’ve got yourself a job – I’ll be expecting a report like this every day. Think you’d be able to do the diplomatic segment at the morning briefing in a couple of days?”
“Thank you, ma’am. And yes I will—if you’re sure?” You had enjoyed the briefings you had attended so far, although you hadn’t opened your mouth. It was such a privilege, being around Captain Pike, Number One (even though she’s terrifying), Spock…
“Of course.” Her smile was warm, and you felt like your dreams were coming true. The Enterprise. Ambassador Pike. And you had impressed her.
*
Your roommate, Adriana Santos, seems nice, too, which is a bonus. She is a stellar physicist, and is as excited as you are to be here and make the most of the opportunity.
You get an early breakfast together; her reviewing the latest astronomical papers, and you reading through diplomatic briefings, as usual. Today is the day you present at the briefing, and you are going to be ready. You have quite the stack of PADDs with you, and she had raised a perfect black eyebrow at them as you left your quarters, but she didn’t say anything. You can’t miss anything important today of all days, and she knows that.
What you hadn’t expected from being on the Enterprise, you think as you try to balance your armful of PADDs with operating the handle on the turbolift, was that you would find Science Officer Spock so… so arresting. He’s handsome, no doubt about it, but you’ve been around good looking people before. That’s not enough to make you lose your cool. But with him it’s something more. You’ve only really seen him in briefings so far, but there’s something about his mind, the calm but compelling way he makes his points... he really makes you think.
You’re still thinking about him as the turbolift slows to let someone else in, and you tighten your grip on your PADDs.
And when Spock walks through the door? That’s when they pop out of your arms and on to the floor.
You really wish that the floor would swallow you. But, you think, as you bend to pick them up, you’d fall down the turbolift shaft and the idea of that is more painful than the darkness of the ground.
And then while you were thinking that you didn’t notice that he’d bent down too, and you bump into him. Spock. The Vulcan touch-telepath.
“Oh gosh I’m so sorry, Lieutenant! Thank you!” At least you didn’t make skin-contact, you think, as you feel yourself warming.
“You are welcome, Cadet. Are you heading to the ambassador’s office?” You nod. “I will assist you.”
“Um, I should be fine, you don’t need to—” his raised eyebrow silences you.
“Cadet, if I may?” You nod once again. “Ambassador Pike would not have invited you to present at briefing if she believed you needed to make preparations over and above your normal level. Previously I have seen you carrying five to six PADDs. Ten may be excessive.”
The door opens, and you follow him out of the turbolift.
“Speaking at briefing is nothing to be nervous about. Everyone wants you to succeed.”
*
“She’s good, isn’t she?” Leah looks positively smug over her raspberry cappuccino.
“What happened to ’I don’t have time to babysit another one?’” Chris needles, though they both know that Cadet Davies hadn’t been ready for a shipboard posting.
“I like making sure that Carlos always owes me.” She takes a sip. “But I’ve barely had to look at the diplomatic wires this past week. Only the classified stuff. She started preparing the summaries off her own bat. And it’s a good thing, too, what with the progress we’re making at Xahea. I appreciate having that little bit more time.”
“I was surprised by how fluent she was this morning. Spock mentioned there’d been some incident in the turbolift, but it didn’t seem to phase her.”
“She didn’t say anything to me, not that that she would have. I dunno, Chris. I know it’s early days, but I just hope she’s more typical of what’s coming through the Academy than Davies was. We’ll need cadets like her if the SDC is to pull its weight...”
*
“Computer! Cancel message!”
“Unable to comply. Message is in processing queue and is no longer able to be modified.”
“Fuck,” you say, aloud, as you realise what you’ve done.
The last few days had been going well. The ambassador had you research and brief senior staff on the Meluran greeting ceremony, after they had reached out to the Federation for assistance. An accident had left their atmosphere more susceptible to their sun’s solar wind, and they needed help before dangerous ionising radiation started damaging their ecosystem and making them sick.
Adriana had told you about the science side; she was working on an analysis of the star, and looking at whether there was anything the ship could do to reduce the particle flux for a time, while other teams worked on regenerating the atmosphere. You couldn’t say you understood all of what she’d said, but you were pleased to do your part.
The Meluran were desperate, so it wasn’t as vital that the ceremony was performed correctly like it might be for a trade negotiation, but you knew it would make everything go a lot more smoothly if the away team could get it right.
There hadn’t been much contact between the Meluran and the Federation before, so after you exhausted the computer you reached out to your lecturer in interspecies communication at the Academy. She’d put you in touch with the Federation Diplomatic Corps Envoy who had handled the initial communication with them, and he’d put you in touch with a Meluran named Pamedra who had not only sent you information on the ceremony’s cultural significance, but had also sent you a recording. You got the impression, from their messages, they were excited to have direct contact with an alien like you.
You wished you could go to the surface yourself, but part of the ceremony dictated the number of attendees – too many could be seen as a threat.
But it had all gone well, and when the captain, ambassador, and Spock had retuned, the captain had actually called you to his ready room to thank you.
You had floated through lunch, and floated through sending out papers you had written and the ambassador had checked on a second contact.
But now it had all gone wrong; you had meant to send the draft trade agreement to Retari. Instead you had just sent your analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of their position, based on confidential Federation data.
Everything had been going so well. But now you’re so screwed.
“Fuck,” you repeat. Just as the door opens, and—
“Excuse me, Cadet?” Of course it would be Spock.
Your hands fly up to cover your mouth. You wish, for the second time, that the floor would open up and swallow you. How do you keep embarrassing yourself in front of him? Of course it doesn’t.
“Lieutenant, I’m sorry for my language. I—I just made a huge mistake. The biggest. I just sent the wrong file to the Retari, full of confidential information, and I have no clue what to do. I need to call the ambassador, but she’s having coffee with the captain, and Number One said you never disturb them at this time, but the Retari negotiation is screwed, and I’m screwed, I’ll be sent back to Earth for sure, I—”
He holds up a hand. “Spock to Nicola. Can you pause outgoing messages please? I’ll explain later.”
“Acknowledged. Messages paused. Let me know when it’s okay to resume.”
“I will. Spock out.” He turns to you. “Our proximity to the star is lowering our available bandwidth, due to its high level of emissions. Therefore the queue for messages to be sent is longer than usual. May I?”
You stand up, stand back, and he sits and logs into the computer. You can’t quite follow his commands, but—
“Computer, display outbound message queue. Authorisation Spock Zeta 230.”
A list of messages scrolls across the screen and you exhale in relief. “There,” you point over his shoulder to the one with routing information for Retari, belatedly realising you have leant a little... close.
“Computer, delete message with ID 34 alpha 2.”
“Message will be permanently deleted. Confirm?”
“Confirm.” Spock’s voice is calm and controlled as ever.
“Message deleted.”
“Thank you, Spock. So much. You really saved me.”
He stands, and you step back. You think you see something almost amused in his eyes. “You exaggerate, but do take better care next time.”
“I will. I’ll tell the ambassador, too.” At least, you think, you won’t have to interrupt her coffee break to do so.
“Spock to Nicola. You may resume the outgoing messages.”
“Thanks, I will. Nicola out.”
“Um, Lieutenant, I guess you originally came here for a reason? Can I help you with something?”
“I am returning to the surface to oversee the next round of atmospheric scans. I wanted to invite you to accompany me; there is someone who would like to meet you in person.”
You grin. “Pamedra? I didn’t think I would get to go see them. They were so helpful...” But no. First things first. “I would love to come but I better tell the ambassador about all this, and get her permission...”
*
“So I hear we nearly had a diplomatic incident on our hands,” Chris says as he carries the plates over from the kitchen.
Leah winces slightly. “I suppose it was to be expected. The cadet’s honeymoon period had to end at some point. But I was pleased that she came out and told me before Spock had a chance to.” She opens the wine and pours it out – the real stuff today. It’s been busy. She’s earned it. “I’ve had a word; a strong one. And I took her through my file handling system too. I don’t think she’ll do it again; she gets the magnitude of the issue, and she saw the logic of my system straight away.”
“Lucky for her that it was Spock who sorted it out rather than Number One. Apparently Spock called the bridge to have outbound messages stopped, and Una had the conn... she was all set to have a—a talk, too, but Spock convinced her it wasn’t necessary.”
Leah raises her eyebrows at that. “Did he?”
“She’s made a good impression on him it seems. This afternoon notwithstanding. He said, after he had been down with the Meluran that her presentation on them and their ceremony was ’insightful’.”
“Well that’s good to know...” Leah takes a bite of her chicken, taking a moment to savour the creamy garlic sauce. “Oh did I tell you Hannah Zimmerman called this morning?”
*
It’s 0605 and you sit, cross-legged, on the bed, every solid you own dumped out in front of you. You know it must be here somewhere.
“What on Earth—?” Adriana says, as she walks in from the bathroom. “What are you doing? How do you have so many solids? I’ve got… maybe ten? Tops? There’s got to be... sixty there? More?”
“It’s a diplomat thing. Or maybe it’s a me thing. I accumulate data. You never know when it’s going to be useful.” You find the solid you want and hold it up for a moment, before tucking it into your pants pocket. “And here it is: how I say thank you to Lieutenant Spock.” You eye Adriana, and she eyes you, her pretty face apprehensive; she knows you’re about to ask her for something.
“Spock is your department head. Do you know what time he has breakfast? I may need to skip out on our run this morning...”
“With all your work with the senior staff you probably see him more than me. Although Lieutenant Llewelyn did let me present our proposal for the Meluran sun device to him.”
“To be fair you did do nearly all the work,” you say as you sweep your solids back into their case. You can sort them later.
“Still, she could’ve taken credit, and she didn’t.” Adriana’s dark eyes are considering. “I think he was impressed. But It’s hard to tell. And I have no idea about his breakfast habits, sorry.” She starts stretching. “I guess I’ll see you later?”
You head to the mess hall, still quiet at this hour, and take a seat where you can see the door. You don’t have to wait long; evidently the reason you and Adriana haven’t seen Spock at breakfast before is that he eats even earlier than you.
“Excuse me? Lieutenant?”
He looks at you, a little puzzled. “Good morning Cadet. Can I be of assistance?”
“Well actually I wanted to thank you again for yesterday. And perhaps offer you a taste of home? You’re from Shi’kahr, right?” He nods, and you finger your solid, although you’ve already uploaded the program to the synthesiser. “Plomeek soup. From a restaurant recommended to me when I visited Shi’kahr. It’s not the same as being there, but I think it’s pretty good.”
He raises a brow at you. “Thank you, Cadet. I will try it.”
He sits at the table you just vacated, and you go to the synthesiser and return with two bowls of the soup. You take a mouthful and watch, apprehensive, as he does too. You’ve heard the soup described as bland, but it’s breakfast food; personally you wouldn’t want anything spicy at this time in the morning. You think that bland is the wrong word, anyway. It’s subtle: savoury, with hints of flavours and spices you can’t name.
“This is... very good, Cadet.” He takes another spoonful. “Can you tell me how you come to have this program? I am struggling to imagine a Vulcan sharing it with you.”
“I told the restauranteur it was logical.” You grin. “It was the summer after my first year at the academy – I got a placement at the Federation Embassy on Vulcan for a few weeks. I wasn’t doing anything important, just filing, helping out on the front desk, fetching and carrying – that sort of thing. I don’t think the Ambassador was there, even. But I did get to see a bit of Shi’kahr.
“One of the Vulcans working there recommended this particular restaurant to me; most of the humans ate from the synthesiser, but I wanted real food. And I liked the soup so much, I said if they let me create a synthesiser program for the Embassy, the humans there may try it and share it, and because real food is almost always better than synthesised, eventually they would want to try the real thing.”
You take another mouthful. “I think my logic was sound; I got a technician to put a Vulcan Specialities section at the top of the synthesiser menu and by the third week I was doing a daily breakfast run to the restaurant.”
“Fascinating,” he says, after staring at you for a moment.
*
You go through your day taking a lot of care over your work; the ambassador’s words from yesterday about filing things correctly and paying attention are still ringing in your ears. But you can’t quite stop thinking about Spock. You had talked about Shi’kahr over breakfast; you noticed he didn’t mention his family but you compared notes on the things you’d seen, both of you agreeing that Vulcan’s Forge was a place you’d enjoyed spending time.
But you had to stop yourself from staring at him during the briefing as he gave his update on the Meluran situation, although you did make a note to tell Adriana he’d mentioned her by name.
You finish up all the work the ambassador had left for you well before she is back from her afternoon coffee break, and you catch yourself thinking about Spock again.
You had enjoyed breakfast with him, and you would really like an excuse to spend more time with him, but this morning aside, he’s seen you drop all your PADDs like a clumsy child. He caught you swearing at a stupid mistake when you should have been sorting it. Not forgetting that he’s a senior officer, and you’re a lowly cadet. He’s Vulcan. You know relationships are a no-go subject with them. There is absolutely no way he is interested.
But still, that nagging little part of you says, he didn’t need to ask you down to see that Meluran, even if it had been at Pamedra’s request. He hadn’t had to help you out yesterday. And he hadn’t needed to be so nice to you ahead of your first briefing address.
You sigh. When you were a teen and you were trying to work through an unrequited crush you’d spend time on the piano, getting lost in music. But there isn’t a piano here and you’re on duty still, even if you have a few minutes to kill.
You need a good dose of cold Vulcan logic. Perhaps you should reread your Surak. Give yourself a mental splash of cold water. You download the text from the computer onto your personal PADD.
“Cadet?” You jump.
“Ambassador!” You stand. “Sorry, I was... um. I modified the pro-forma for the Crassian second contact, and I made notes on the latest version of the Retari treaty. They’re here. I also compiled the background information you requested on dilithium use for Xahea, and the data on the projected yields for those crop varieties on Kaminar is here too.”
“Thank you Cadet, that’s good work.” The ambassador smiles as she walks round her desk. You always enjoy this part of the day; you like how spending time with the captain always seems to leave her in a good mood. You’ve thought that it would be nice to have that yourself. With Spock, that traitorous voice in your head adds, but you ignore it, sitting back down.
“What were you reading just now? It seemed like it was pretty absorbing.”
“I was, uh... rereading the Teachings of Surak? In English, I’m not good enough at Vulcan – I only know the basics. I read them originally when I was on placement at the Federation embassy there.”
“Skon’s translation?”
You nod.
“Did you know he’s Spock’s grandfather?”
You shake your head. “I hadn’t made the connection. I should have, I suppose.” You frown a little.
“It’s not the most obvious thing to think of while reading Vulcan philosophy...” her brows draw together a little, studying you, but her expression soon clears.
“Let’s take a look at that pro-forma.”
*
“I caught the cadet reading Surak earlier, by the way. Do we think she’s good enough for Spock?” Dinner is long over, and Leah should get up and clean up the remains of their Chinese food, but she’s so comfortable.
Chris laughs. “Our boy could probably do worse.”
“Worse than a diplomat? It seemed to work out well enough for you, darling.” She turns and frowns, mock-reproving.
“Touché. But that’s not what I meant and you know it.”
“On the Republic I would have invited them both for dinner. Probably with another couple. I often found that encouraging people to spend time together outside work was enough to ignite that spark.”
“We shouldn’t interfere, love.” Chris tightens his arm around Leah, and she relaxes back into him.
“I know, I know. It’s just it’s written all over her face every time she looks at him, and… I don’t think he’s indifferent. I just don’t think he’s worked out what to do about it.”
“You’re right, but...” he sighs. “I’m the captain. I’m not going to say I’ve never interfered, but I have to use a light touch. And that really wouldn’t be.”
“I suppose arranging a turbolift malfunction would be out of the question?”
He laughs again. “Too obvious, love. Though talk to Spock about turbolifts; you never know, you might get him to tell about his first day aboard this ship.”
She turns in his arms to look at him. “There’s a story there?”
“And it took me years to get it out of him. Years.”
“Bet you I can do it in weeks.”
“You’re on.”

REITA x club Zy. Super Long Interview (1/4) May 24 2021
READ: Part 2
Please feel free to send a message if there are any mistakes or if you have suggestions on improving the translation. Please credit if posting elsewhere.
“There were moments where I felt depressed and mentally exhausted. I thought it will be dangerous if I stayed like this, so I would wake up at 5AM and go for a run.”
- Firstly, I’d like to ask you about last year when the Corona disaster happened. Since the 2nd half of February last year, lives and activities were cancelled/postponed due to Corona, also “18TH ANNIVERSARY DAY/6576″ scheduled for March 10 was cancelled. What were your feelings at that time?
The number of those infected with Corona in the country has increased since last February. I had thought it would be a hard time from now on but never did I imagine I would not be able to perform. We talked about it, thinking “Perhaps March is too risky?” But in our hearts we thought we could still do it, so we started practicing for the live and getting into shape. But it had to be cancelled. We didn’t talk about whether to do it or not, there was only one option. We might have done it if we ignored Corona and forced through, but there is a social responsibility to bring people together and perform live. So we couldn’t.
- I think you made the right choice. The situation worsened after March, the world entered the “STAY HOME” period after the first emergency was declared in April. What were your days like back then?
I was already extremely “STAY HOME” (laughs) The gym and many places were closed, I didn’t really go out. I only would leave to buy ingredients. I was working on the new album while training at home. I played the bass a lot, I had days where I focused on playing the bass or working out. I hardly played games or watched movies. I didn’t go out in April, though I started to feel depressed and mentally exhausted when May or June came around. I thought it will be dangerous if I stayed like this, so I would wake up at 5AM and go for a run. There was no one out at that time, it felt like it was safer. It was also a change of pace, I felt like I was able to get over it.
- Some artists became depressed because of Corona and others decided to leave music after thinking about various things. I’m glad you didn’t fall into that.
I understand why they felt that way, but I can’t quit music. Lives are the motivation to continue making music. I never thought I wouldn’t be able to perform for this long, it’s difficult not being able to play lives. But we will be able to one day, won’t we? That’s what I’m trying to endure. For the GazettE fans, time stopped at Yokohama Arena (September 23, 2019) So when they can see us live for the first time in maybe 2 years, [time] will start moving from there. I don’t want them to feel that it has been 2 years. That is what motivates me to play bass and continue working on my health, so I don’t feel like I’m distancing myself from music.
- I think the difference between those who were preparing stoically to resume activities and those who took a break this year will be clear.
I think it will be too. It becomes obvious what you have been doing in the meantime when you play live. When we start playing again, I want to not only show that we haven’t blanked out but also that we have evolved. We want to point out that there wasn’t a gap. It’s why I was very self aware last year to ensure I was ready for it, and that has not changed.
- I hope the day we can see the GazettE evolved isn’t too far away. Looking back on last year, Corona lasted longer than expected, many artists made means of online communication around June. Did you think about doing something like that yourself?
There was never a discussion about doing a live stream among the band members. It was a common understanding there wouldn’t be a live stream. Personally for me, live shows are only possible when the fans are right in front of you. It’s not a live for me if there is no audience. I don’t know if I could play at the same level of enthusiasm as usual with only cameras. It’s not a music video, you’re streaming a live performance and because they’re paying money, we have to make the audience feel that same heat as if they’re actually watching it at the venue. Though, with no fans in front of me and only cameras, I’m not sure if I can do it with the same passion as usual. That’s my reason why I don’t think I can do a live stream.
- the GazettE can surely show a high quality live performance without an audience, but there would be a sense of discomfort, right?
There would be. We’ve been a band for a long time and still I continue to look forward to playing lives. However, if there is no audience, I probably won’t feel good. That side of me will certainly come through the screen, and that image will stay there forever. Later, when we can go back to the time where we do normal shows, we will wish we hadn’t done it...That’s what I’m afraid of. I’m not criticizing those who are doing live streams. I think it’s great they’re doing their best to not make their fans feel lonely. But it’s something we could not have done ourselves.

Hey! Can you write some headcanons on how Ezio, Arno and Jacob would react if their partner has quarantined themselves because they have interacted with a confirmed Covid19 case? I'm in quarantine right now because of a confirmed case in my University. I've isolated myself in my room, I don't even let my parents near me, so I'd love to get some support! ♥️♥️
Heyo @sofiewithat (too bad this time I can't say:"Heyo anonimo" like I always do :( ) !Thank you a lot for requesting this,I actually wanted to write some headcanons a bit like these (most precisely,how the quarantine would be with them,stuff like this). I hope everything will turn out to be fine for you,but for now,just stay at home,easy peasy,be safe...because out there it's a (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ m e s s.
Let's start now,shall we?
~~~~~
|°Ezio°| :
Tumblr media
"No hugs and kisses for the chef today?"
When you came home you didn't go into the kitchen,as you used to do,to greet Ezio with a warm,long hug and the usual passionate kisses.
Instead,you limited yourself at stopping at the treshold of the kitchen,leaning with a shoulder against the frame of the door,watching him cooking,standing there in silence.
He only needed some quick glances,thrown at you as he was busy preparing dinner,to understand and to notice that something happened,that something was wrong.But he kept on gently smiling at you nevertheless,silently and tacitly encouraging you in letting out what you needed to say.
But you were trying to think,to find a way to tell him the not really good news...knowing that,most likely,he would have reacted a little bit too dramatically.
"COSA?!" loudly shouting this as he sharply turned around,facing you.
Ezio nearly dropped the plate of pasta he had in his hands.
You knew very well how he could be so dramatic with everyone and about everything.But you could have said from how his soft and arm brown eyes,that became dim and dark with seriousness,his expression torn between a worried and a shocked one,that he was not being theatrical as his usual.
Not this time at least,and not for this reason.
You tried to explain him everything,trying with all of your best to not worry him even more than he already was.
And him,viceversa,didn't want to look too scared and preoccupied at your eyes.If anything -not counting that first moment when he loudly shouted- he started to be hopeful,telling you that everything would turn out to be fine.
He (and you too) had to think like this,in such times.
But the young Auditore didn't look happy and/or pleased when you told him your decision: at all. Staying away from each other would have meant...no hugs?No kisses?No gentle touches?No cuddles?
He was going to die.
"Amore...I'm dying here!" you once heard him shouting this from the living room while you were in your room.
But nevertheless,he respected your will.
Ezio needed to feel your presence around him in the house.
Who knows for how many times he instinctively stepped closer to you to wrap you in a hug when he saw you walking around the house,and you had to stretch your arms out,walking away from him.
Who knows for how many times you had to remind him to not step too close to you.
And you hate when you looked at him giving you these purely and utterly sad glances,making your heart ache.
You missed not being able to spend so much time with him as you both used to do,laying together on the couch,watching a film,and most of all,cooking lunch and dinner together.
One particular thing that just genuinely brought small tears to your eyes,was when you woke up in the middle of the night,and as you were walking towards the kitchen to get a glass of water,you saw Ezio laying on the couch,sleeping deeply,half covered by a blanket.
"It's not the same to sleep without you between my arms,tesoro"
Be sure that you would find a plate of pasta everyday for lunch.
"Trust me,pasta will kill every little nasty virus that there might be inside you" saying this as he was sitting on the couch,now his new bed,in the living room,making you laugh loudly.
|°Arno°| :
Tumblr media
"Arno...?"
You knew you had to tell him that with caution.You knew you had to think billions of time before telling him...that.
The poor boy was there,leaning on the wall,eyes vailed by a thick vail of worry as he was staring at you,motionless.
"Tell me you are joking"
He tried to convince himself that what you were saying wasn't the truth.His head was a mess now,thoughts fogging his mind with endless questions: what if you caught it?And what if...
But you actually managed to calm Arno down,even if a bit.Saying that you were feeling well and that there was no need to be scared and preoccupied that much.
Arno agreeded,even if with a bitter grimace and with a melancholic gaze,with the idea about being distanced from each other: not being afraid,though,on admitting that it wouldn't have been the same.
These weeks passed away pretty quickly thanks to him and his thoughtfulness.He still managed to care and look after you even if you didn't let him close,showing you affection by little gestures,actions and phrases.
And that was amazing,to say at least.
"Do you need something?" asking this at least onehundred of times in a day,wanting to help with all of himself.
"Are you feeling okay,mon amour?" slightly opening the door of your shared bedroom,peeking and leaning only his head inside,gently smiling at you.
Finding a baquet of your favourite flowers in various vases around the house every day.
Smiling happily when,each morning for breakfast,you found a hot croissant in the table of the kitchen,knowing that Arno bought it for you before going to work.
Noticing that-when he left you alone at home because of his work- you often would see posts-it scattered all around the house for you to find,reading the sweet phrases he wrote for you with a grateful smile on your lips as you traced his graceful and long handwriting with your fingertip.
"Je t'aime tant xxx "
We all know that this Frenchman is a romantic:utterly and completely in love with you,and he would do anything to see you in a good mood...even if it would include trying to hide his own preoccupation to make you feel good.
~~~~~
|°Jacob°| :
Tumblr media
"Nice one,love,nice one" he scoffed when you told him what happened,throwing himself on the couch as he was eating some snacks,giving you a confident and relaxed expression.
For a first moment he really thought that you were joking around,just teasing him:but when you showed him a serious face and a low voice -which he feared a lot- he understood that what you were saying was only the truth.
You would have bet that you would never have seen Jacob get paler than he already was.
"Bloody hell" indeed.
He was pretty...nonchalant about it.Cracking some jokes here and there,saying that you were perfectly healthy-his own words-and that there was nothing to worry about.
Jacob could have been very,very persuasive,and he actually managed in his intention:making you believe that he wasn't worried or stressed or anything like that.
But of all the things that this Brit was,he wasn't a good secret keeper,or a good liar,either way.
One afternoon,while he believed that you were resting in your room,you heard him talking softly to Evie,confessing her his worries and all of his preoccupations about what happened in such a low,almost scared voice,that made your heart melt.
Of course you had no doubt that Jacob cared about you with all of his heart and soul,but you couldn't help but smile and feeling grateful for having him at your side:not worsening the situation by adding his own fears with yours too,but actually making it all go away in his unique,special ways.
You didn't mention and/or told him that you heard his talk with his sister:you knew that it would have hurt,even if a little,his pride and ego.
A thing you actually adored about the young twin,was that he was able to make even the last laughable thing into a funny one. How he was able to do that?You didn't know,but you loved the male twin more for this particular shade of his personality.
Scaring the life out of you when he wore a plague doctor mask,pretending to be a doctor,his gestures so theatrical as he peeked his head in your shared room while wearing that scary mask.
"Visit hour for my favourite patient"
"Where did you get that?!"
"Ezio gave this to me"
Talking-shouting with each other from your bedroom,where you were most of the time,to the living room,where he was.
"TEA,LOVE?!"
"MAYBE LATER!"
You knew Jacob,reckless and relentless,breaking the rules you imposed for these weeks: sometimes getting way too close to you.
"Bloody corona virus can't stop me"
If he says so...
Jacob would do anything at his disposal,in his best ways,to brighten up your days and to cheer you up.
°*°TrAnSlaTiOnS!°*°
"Cosa?!" = what;
"Amore" = love;
"Tesoro" = darling.
~
"Mon amour" = my love;
"Je t'aime tant" = I love you a lot.
~~~~~
I hope you'll like these!I wrote them as soon as I could ;)
Addio.
A quick update:
I started university last week and since then I have had a very stressful time full of anxiety and other intense emotions. The anxiety also comes from the fact that my country will go into a second lockdown tomorrow due to the currently rapidly worsening corona virus situation. I have not had a free moment to work on this blog. I am locked down with my boyfriend right now. I intend to get through all of your messages and submissions to the blog within the coming days. These are strange times. I am not ignoring your messages and I hope every one of you is staying safe and healthy. In the meantime, my queued up posts will hopefully bring some joy until I can work more on this blog again! Thank you for understanding.
-Victor
