Ayato hated their mom, hated her long manicured nails, her long shiny purple hair, her expensive jewellery but he hated how his brothers loved her the most. He hated their oh so love, the love that so much turned into hate. He hated it.

Even so he loved how he can show his love towards her and his brothers.

By taking her life himself, leaving nothing left to ones who wants to show their love. Or the ones she desired.

However he couldn’t grasp how this idea was planted in his head. How his older brother knew who she was and hated her from the beginning, warning his baby brothers by his harsh tongue, whispering mean words to their ears; “Don’t, she doesn’t care anyway.” or “She doesn’t love you.”

He knew, he saw everything that needed to be seen, that’s why he wanted his brother himself kill her. Herewith he doesn’t fall into trap of love by giving himself to her also takes the pleasure of being loved by her greatest love. He wanted her to know he didn’t loved her much to kill but her golden son hated her much to do it.

In the end, Cordelia created her kin, the devil who whispers in ears to seduce.

i know we all say madame glask is the only normal one but as time goes on i'm starting to think the only normal one is cosmo. bro's just an elderly gentleman doin his job trying to help his immortal dad. that is objectively more normal than being basically immortal, being able to turn into an orca-mantis hybrid, being full of locusts, and being able to turn blood into water. still a daily reminder to stan madame cordelia glask though!!!

For all the Early Installment Weirdness in Season 1 of Buffy, the opening two-parter does a surprisingly good job establishing these who these characters are and what their arcs will be for the entire rest of the series.

Take Buffy’s ‘Seize the moment, because tomorrow you might be dead’ - it’s framed in an almost light-hearted way, but she is already, in the first episode, intensely aware of her own death. As much as she tries to deny her slayerhood, she knows she’s probably going to die young; she can’t picture a future for herself, and her just trying to enjoy the moment is covering for issues she’ll be dealing with for the rest of the series.

The first thing Willow does to help Buffy is hack the city council to access the plans for the city. Well, technically, what she does is reveal that she’d already hacked them, just for funsies. It’s slightly incongruous with Willow’s apparent innocence… but that completely fits her later arc. She sees herself as essentially innocent and harmless, so it’s fine when she does things that might seem bad if someone else did it, especially if it’s something that might make her feel cool and/or powerful.

Cordelia also shows her intelligence in Computer class (though the bad Deliver/Delete joke at the end of the scene undercuts it, I’m inclined to write that off as just a bad joke). She’s complaining about the task they’ve been assigned, but she’s complaining like someone who does know what she’s talking about, in comparison to Harmony who genuinely doesn’t get it; and there’s a strong sense that she’s trying to downplay her academic smarts to fit in. It’s surprising depth this early in the series, considering how Season 1 generally treats her.

And then Angel is a ridiculous dork with no idea how to be a person, desperately trying to look cool - an illusion that breaks under the slightest pressure. This displays not just his personality, but also foreshadows all of Buffy’s romantic interests for the rest of the series.

I CAN TELL YOU A GREAT MANY THINGS ABOUT HER so okay originally shes placed in the tma universe, now she doesnt work in the magnus archives but rather a similar kind of place called the usher foundation which is near washington i think instead of london

okay so thing you need to know about the tma world is that the world is ruled by 14/15 main fears and sometimes they imprint on people and people can become avatars of said fear

so for codelia shes been touched by the corruption (linked the wiki which explains all of that fear) which is kind of intersected with the buried, which has had a pretty big affect on her. with her feeling very trapped with her parents, because she wasnt quite free to be who she was because her parent are mildly transphobic. and their love was quite conditional and not very healthy. and in some earlier relationships (ones shes had before frederick, my other tma oc) havent always been the healthiest either. and shes slowly kind of letting that all go and processing it

thats like a big part of her story, its also why i really like her in the knight au in my brain, because shes still very much the same in what her past was like, aside from the earlier relations. but shes still very much protective of herself and i think the knight au makes it like very visable as well

I haven’t really seen anyone talk about this so idk if anyone feels the same way but…it is crazy to me that in ChoT, there is not a big reveal announcing that James and Cordelia’s marriage was a sham marriage in the beginning and that James really did burn the Blackthorn house down. I know there are various reasons why it didn’t happen because nobody even was told about Grace’s ability and they decided to brush that under the rug due to James not wanting to display his trauma for all to see, but Grace didn’t even have to be mentioned for them to discuss the sham marriage. It just felt underwhelming, especially with the power it could have had.

The whole situation of Cordelia ruining her reputation for James was so insane because it was something so extreme that no woman in 1903 would willingly admit to the entire Enclave, which made everyone automatically believe her instead of starting an investigation to see if James really did burn down the house. All the evidence was 100% there and showed that James obviously did it, all anyone had to do was look a little closer. But nobody did because of Cordelia’s proclamation. It’s hilarious because they instantly covered James’s arson up without any investigation whatsoever, they just took Cordelia’s word for it.

I wanted a scene at the end of ChoT that was a powerful monologue from Cordelia basically telling the Enclave that she fooled them because they are so entranced in high society and propriety that they could cover up literal arson so easily. I wanted her to rub it in their faces about how stupid they were and confront them about their treatment of her after she ruined her own reputation. That the judgement she received from the Enclave proves that a woman’s worth is only characterized by what a man thinks of her, that a woman’s worth is only based off of how much value she has as a sexual object for men (even though men can do whatever they want with whom ever they want). I wanted to read about the looks of pure shock on the faces of the Enclave members when they find out that James and Cordelia duped them this whole time. (Let them be petty!) It would have been good for her character arc too because it could have been linked to her obsession with perfection, good deeds, and being a hero. Anyways whatever, it’s never going to be resolved but this is just another thing that irked me about the ending of ChoT.
