Whumptober Day 3
Prompto swallowed blood, landing on his hands and knees onto the hard concrete. He heard the kick before he felt it slam into his ribs. He curled up as best he could to protect himself. To his surprise, no other kicks followed. Just the clang of steel as the bars slammed into place.
“That’ll teach you Niffs to go wandering around where you’re not wanted.” The cop’s voice dripped with contempt. “A night on our hospitality will teach you to stay in your place.”
Prompto uncurled and pushed himself into a sitting position. He licked his torn lip and grimaced. “You can’t keep me here, I wasn’t doing anything wrong.”
The cop smirked. “A punk like you hanging around the homes of upstanding Insomnians? No way you weren’t up to something.”
Prompto rubbed the side of his face that wasn’t bruised. That was the last time he tried that shortcut home. He’d stayed late playing games with Noct and lost track of time.
The plus side of this was his dad was going to be pissed off enough at the bigoted cop who’d dragged him in under false pretenses that he might escape getting in trouble for staying out too late. Maybe.
He wrapped his arms around himself in a bid to keep warm and settled down to wait. If the cop hadn’t been quite as much of an asshole, he might have warned him, but at this point, he deserved what was coming to him.
Sure enough, a half hour later, his dad slammed through the door. He’d have enjoyed watching the cops panic more if he wasn’t so sore. They all straightened up, one of them spilling his coffee in the process.
“Marshal! What are you doing here?”
Prompto had to give it to him. the asshole had guts.
Cor shot the asshole cop a glare that would have cowed most Crownsguard. “I’m here to retrieve my son. Under what charges have you detained him?”
The cop went satisfyingly pale, turning to look at Prompto.
Prompto stood up and brushed himself off. “A Niff like me had to be up to something – his words.”
Cor’s glare got even icier.
“I- There’s just been some kind of misunderstanding. I’ll just release him into your custody.” He fumbled for key on his key ring.
Cor didn’t say anything more as Prompto was let out of the cell. He put a hand on Prompto’s shoulder and guided him out, making sure to make eye contact with everyone on their way out.
Someone was getting an official reprimand, at the very least.
Cold comfort after the rough treatment, but Prompto would take it. Especially if it distracted his dad from wondering what he was doing out at this time of night by himself.

Cor to Pax: What did you lot do this time? And if not you, then who disappeared the Galahdians and how?
Oh, the fae would be in an uproar. Especially the pixies. They're on a warpath. Because poor dear Io is gone. Went poof right alongside every foreign human having a taste of Beginning-of-All in their smell.
Cor goes right down to Little Galahd the moment he notices something fishy going on. Which is right when he wakes up and something in the air feels off.
So he goes to Little Galahd. Where there is not a living soul. Humans keep away as if they can sense that whatever happened there is dangerous on a level they can't really comprehend.
Cor gets the impression of a path in front of his feet, a guiding light, the tugging of follow-me-I-know-the-way. He can taste moss, standing water and peat in the roof of his mouth. Someone gathered the people and led them away. Cor can barely breathe at the realisation he's so furious. It happened right under his nose and didn't notice anything.
So he turns around and walks into the direction of an old, derelict arcade. Only for Pax, them who always insist on doing things the proper way - because there is a way these things are don - to meet him outside.
"Where are they?" Cor growls, and it sounds like whisper-soft paws in the underbrush, feels like the weight of a cattish stare that knows too much.
And Pax... trembles.
In fear and trepidation, yes, but also in anger. Pink hair stands up even straighter than it usually does. Dust-wings shimmer in pale sickly blues, and dark reds and shadowy blacks.
"Io is gone," Pax says, sounding like trembling grains of salt. "Lionheart. The falselights. They took our Io. Get her back. Get her back now."

Lol, Regis absolutely needs to sit down. Of all the things Noctis could have said, his newest friend and Heart having magic of her own and being his daughter is honestly the last thing he expected.
(Unfortunately for the Nifs, no one mentions that Prompto's magic is just so slightly different to traditional Lucis Caelum magic. Regis therefore makes the same mistake as Prompto and Noctis and assumes that Prompto is therefore his daughter. Which means the Father King is now on a warpath to rescue said newfound daughter from Niff custody, and rest in pieces to anybody who gets in his way.)
Cor wishes he could go back in time and smack some sense into his younger self. That's his friend/brother/King's daughter, his niece in all but blood. He isn't going to just mobilize more people, he is going to be leading missions himself regardless of what Regis or Clarus has to say about it.
Yeah, at this point Regis and Cor probably tell Noctis and co. that no, Regis did not cheat on Aulea while his wife was on her death bed (after a very scathing tirade from Noctis about what he thinks of Regis doing said cheating on his mom and then not even having the decency to raise Prompto as she should have been). But Prompto is no less wanted for her being a product of science and stolen DNA.
You know, I always headcanoned that once Niflheim got their hands on some photos of the prince and his civilian friend, they absolutely knew that Prompto was an escaped clone. The resemblance to Besithia was obvious, after all. They just didn't bother to do anything with it, since it's not like they need that particular clone and it's not even like Prompto has a sleeper programming.
But in the Spark verse, well. Prompto is a child of an Oracle. And if Glauca is a thing, they might even know about her magic.
Either way, they really want to have her back.
I have been sitting on this ask for awhile, because I love it, but unfortunately the muses are not cooperating with me on it.
In most of my fics, Niflheim doesn’t really bother paying too much attention to Prompto - yeah, he’s the prince’s friend, but he’s civilian, and furthermore, not a member of his Retinue, so ergo, he can’t be that important to the prince. Not enough to be worth investing any resources into whatever aim they might want with Prompto anyway.
But in Spark au, Prompto is claimed as Noctis’ Heart far earlier than normal in an effort to protect her secret, and that makes Niflheim take a closer look at this civilian girl who’s gotten so close to the prince. And you’re right, the resemblance is uncanny if you know what to look for.
I feel like Titus wouldn’t know about Prompto’s magic. Noctis and the others are so very careful to keep her magic under wraps, and the cover of Prompto having Noctis’ magic so compelling, that Titus never realizes the truth.
Now, if they ever managed to get their hands on the Prince’s Heart long enough to somehow learn that carefully hidden truth… well.
That would change things, wouldn’t it?
#ffxv#Spark!Ardyn au#Prompto Argentum#Regis Lucis Caelum#Noctis Lucis Caelum#Cor Leonis#the great part here is that the misconception of Prompto's lineage is still going#and by the time that gets straightened out Regis is going to stare down whichever Fleurets are still alive#and *refuse* to give up custody of Prompto#Prompto's parents lose custody of Prompto when it comes to light just how often they left Prompto home alone#Prompto's parents probably don't face criminal charges on the condition that custody is turned over to Regis#because they did make sure Prompto always had a caretaker and saw to her schooling and medical needs etc#so they didn't actually do anything illegal#just barely#but it's close enough Regis could have pressed something#but they were loyal and dedicated servants of the Crown#for all that they turned out to be shitty parents#and Prompto still loves them#so a deal instead is made to turn custody over to Regis#and later when it comes out that surprise! Prompto's actually an Oracle baby!#Regis is going to be like 'you can pry my daughter out of my cold dead hands'#Sylva - if she's still alive because I still have no idea if the actual story portion of this will even get this far -#wisely only asks for visitation rights and for Prompto to visit Tenebrae for Oracle training#(as an aside - Raven I see that new blog description of yours and I fucking love it)

More of the Second Chance for Happiness AU involving the Chocobros as kids still.
Prompto manages to make it two full months of a continuous sleepover without the adults figuring it out.
Nyx is the one that tells the King and Clarus.
Cor was listening in, he is ready to go on a warpath.
Prompto’s parents still haven’t come home once in that time.
They don’t answer calls for summons to court and prompt doesn’t know what address they could send written summons to.
They lose custody and never find out as a result.
Cor bullies Regis and Clarus into giving him Custody.
He gets to be godfather, Clarus got custody of Prompto.
Cor will take this compromise.
Prompto does not know how to feel about Gladio technically being his brother now.
At least he’s getting to work on losing weight still. And this time, good habits for his health are being put in place.
Prompto never really learned healthy ways to lose weight in the past timeline. He wasn’t extremely unhealthy, but he was skipping meals and only having lunch and small snacks for dinner on most days. He had stopped eating breakfast for the most part.
Gladio drags him into training with him and Noctis.
Ignis joins them some days as well.
Prompto learns how to use daggers and swords much better, though he still would prefer to use a gun.
Clarus has banning him from touching a gun until he’s 16.
Learning archery though, that is allowed.
Noctis likes to watch him practice with a bow.
They think it’s pretty cool how good Prompto’s aim is with a bow once he gets the hang of using one.
They’d rather not learn to use one themself though.
Prompto’s former adoptive parents finally come home two months after Clarus got custody.
They panicked until they saw the official documentation left on their table stating that their failure to respond or appear in court has cost them custody over Prompto. There’s also charges for child neglect with those documents, charges that were at least dropped.
They don’t get any information on how to contact him though.
More under the cut, mostly shipping related, so ignore if you’re not a fan of Promptis
Noctis, at age 12, figures out they have a crush on Prompto that lasted from the previous timeline one day when watching him practice archery.
They find themself more focused on his face and eyes than what he’s doing.
Gladio calling them lovestuck prince helps them realize it too
They end up hiding away for a couple of hours to come to terms with this realization.
Regis is the first person besides Gladio and Ignis to have noticed the crush and he thought it was adorable.
Clarus is supportive as well.
The Glaives have a betting pool on how the prince will confess.
Titus is surprisingly in on it. He bets it’ll be by complete accident and that the one confessing will be Prompto, not Noctis
A month later, Titus wins the pool. Prompto had, without think, confessed his feelings after Noctis won a difficult boss fight in a game and had the biggest, happiest smile on their face. Once that really reached their eyes.
He just blurted out ‘I think I love you’ upon seeing that expression.
Regis is upset he lost the bet, but also happy for his child.

I present, in the Little Nox Dissidia: Little Nox is understandably distressed at being in this place again, as a toddler. Noctis would like to register a complaint, as he carefully balanced a baby LC on his hip, this is not how he wanted to discover a long awaited baby brother. SWORD, big sword, why sword, HELP! Ardyn comes down like the wrath of the Astrals manifest to rescue his nephew(s), & Crystal-o-Vision is how the Citadel discovers they have a few LC extra wandering around.
hgfdhgfd YES. Let’s just- let’s just ignore the usual Little Nox age gap and say that Noctis is 17-ish when Nox is like- 5 for this particular Dissidia blurb. Just for the lols.
-Little Nox is ... AWARE that he knows this place. In a dreamlike sort of way, and he knows it is Not Good that he is here. Let’s pretend, for the sake of Drama™, that Nox shows up with like- Materia’s Champions rather than Spiritus’s this once, and Cloud is honestly a very quiet Die™ when he stumbles on this ACTUAL SMOL CHILD staring out at the desert with a wobbling lip and big eyes.
-Cloud awkwardly hauls the kiddo to Materia’s tower and nearly gets the life scared out of him halfway there when Nox starts throwing a mini-tantrum that involves Armiger (that’s a lot of swords that’s TOO MANY SWORDS-). Luckily for Cloud, Nox is not really a tantrum kind of child so it quickly trails off to miserable sniffling.
-Even so, with that display of magic in mind, when Cloud spots Noctis, who looks so similar to the child Cloud is awkwardly holding and also has the blue sparkle magic, Cloud is all too relieved to speed walk over there and plop Nox into a stunned Noctis’s arms with a gruff, “Found your baby brother outside,” and then speed walk off, leaving Noctis to stare in shock-horror-WHAT at the mini him in his arms who is already relaxing into his grip and tangling young magic with Noctis’s, making it utterly unmistakable that YES. This smol child is, in fact, related to Noctis.
-Someone help him.
-Noctis ends up propping Nox on his hip for a while and getting cooed over by the female champions while someone kindly rigs him a backpack/sling thing out of a cape (WoL is happy to donate his cape to the Baby Cause and all the Champions are an Outrage that there is a CHILD HERE. Not like Onion Knight, who knows a sword and is at least 12, but a FIVE YEAR OLD, Materia is apologetic and confused, because she could have sworn she only summoned old souls that knew combat).
-Ardyn, meanwhile, is a Rampage. He quickly scares the living daylights out of 80% of the crazies under Spiritus’s command and recruits a bemused Sephiroth to the Hunt For Darling Nephew (because Ardyn isn’t optimistic enough to believe Nox is still safe and sound in the hotel room they’d been in moments ago) and even Spiritus is wide-eyed at how Feral this new Champion is.
-Noctis does Not want to go out there and fight things with a newly discovered baby brother on his back, but he also wants to get home asap with said baby brother, so he tentatively leaves the tower with a hovering group of Champions trailing around him (which include Lightning, WoL, Cecil, Y’Shtola, and Cloud Nox-keeps-crying-when-I-leave-his-sight-someone-help-me Strife).
-Naturally, a group of Champions that large gather attention and they get attacked.
-Noctis is doing pretty good holding his own, especially since the other Champions are working hard to keep the enemy AWAY FROM THE SMOL CHILD, when one of the Big Guys (what’s his name- Golbez? Exdeath? WoL’s rival) breaks through the line and goes after Noctis as “the weak link”.
-Noctis can barely start to raise his sword when there’s a shockwave of magic so thick and murderous it sense everyone but him to their knees. There’s a flare of red magic and the snap-crack of a warp and suddenly there’s a Murder Hobo in their midst, tearing apart Spiritus’s champions with bared teeth and blood red magic running down his face in a parody of his old Scourge Face.
-Materia’s Champions can only watch as this new coming shreds the opposition like paper and sends them packing, then stands there breathing lightly with a red armiger spinning dangerously around him.
-The wary silence is broken by Nox leaning as far as he can past Noctis’s shoulder, reaching toward the Murder Hobo with a soft, relieved pulse of magic and a little cry of “Uncle!”
-UNCLE? Noctis thinks frantically as the man turns around and stares with that horrible red mask of magic. A blink and the mask is gone and the man is stalking forward, swords tucked away in armiger as he reaches for Nox with a relieved, “Nephew!”
-What.
-What is going on.
-“Ummmm,” says Noctis, shifting a bit to keep Nox out of the man’s grip. The man just blinks at him, then smiles, “Ah, you must be my OTHER nephew!” He doffs his hat and bows, “Ardyn Izunia, at your service. Now if you don’t mind,” He straightens up with a smile that means Death, “Give me back the nephew I’ve been raising since he was a toddler.”
-Not an idiot, Noctis hands Nox over. He can feel Ardyn’s magic swirling around them anyway, all but screaming protective and loving instincts. This man, for all he’s scary and very dangerous, is no threat to Noctis’s baby brother. He’s also Noctis’s uncle? Apparently? Has to be with that magic and his age.
-Noctis is Very Confused, but kinda relieved to have a Murder Hobo Uncle on his side during this insanity.
-Meanwhile, the Chocobros 1.0 who are watching via crystal-o-vision (XD) are all just- this does not compute. This DOES NOT COMPUTE. That is another SON when Regis is certain he did not HAVE another son (a son that looks just like Noctis at that age, eerily so) and now- now the CHANCELLOR OF NIFLHEIM stands before his sons with magic of his own swirling around them and calls little Nox his NEPHEW. That he’s been RAISING.
-It’s Cor who breaks the silence, Cor who remembers the little blond boy he rescued from a lab and puts the pieces together as best he knows how, leaping to the only conclusion that makes SENSE.
-“He’s a clone.”
-And Regis’s world crashes down around his ears.
-All this time ... all this time he’s had a brother, had FAMILY and now he finds that not only is Niflheim’s chancellor his brother but that Niflheim has taken his son’s blood and MADE A CHILD with it.
-Regis is so furious he can barely breathe.
-The Chocobros 1.0 (plus Titus who is an Internal Die™ when he sees what’s happening) watch the Dissidia adventure with bated breath, watch Ardyn fall into Noctis’s orbit as easily as breathing, DOTING on the enemy prince with a whimsy that spoke of menace but with eyes so soft and calm, with magic that makes Noctis’s shoulders ease without thinking, that all Regis can see is a man who loves his nephews more than anything in the world.
-And they listen, too, as Ardyn tells his story (his cover story, anyway) about running away from the Empire with the little clone boy he found, about how Ardyn himself had been tortured by “Regis’s predecessor” (this only spoken of after a nasty fire spell ruins his shirts and reveals his scars).
-By the time they are all sent back, Noctis showing up in the Citadel and Ardyn and Nox back in their hotel far away, Regis and Co are fully on the warpath and ready to bring the wayward LCs safe home.

snappysprinkledog replied to your post “So as Prince, Regis is pretty much untouchable - especially as an...”
The worst thing is unless you knew what to look for you’d assume the wounds and scars were just from being a crownsguard. No one but cor, regis and mors and maybe the shields is going to know what mors is doing to cor
Also regis is going to ruin his father, mors shouldn't have mistaken regis’ kindness for weakness. And now he’s going to pay
There’s nothing like a Lucis caelum on the warpath. And by the Astrals, is Regis on the warpath.
Regis makes a lot of potions, and they’re made with anger. He holds Cor tight to him and swears vengeance.
Cor still has to keep those scars, though.

Noctis scoffed but he kept his mouth shut. He didn't think the man would kill him since he seemed to want information about Ardyn, but he wasn't about to stake his life on it. There were plenty of ways to hurt him without killing him, after all and Noctis was smart enough not to mess with Yakuza. If Ardyn was causing problems for the Tojo Clan, being the son of the former chairman probably wasn't something that would work in his favour right now. If anything, it might make them want to hurt him more to send a message.
There were two reasons he'd allowed Ardyn to take over. The first had been his fear of having so much responsibility – of having people not taking him seriously because of his age and inexperience. The second was more personal though. Life as yakuza was what got his father killed and Noctis wanted to stay as far away from it as possible. It seemed it wasn't that easy though. Even though he wasn't an official member, it was something that would always follow him.
"The hell is your problem, man? I already told you I don't know shit." He grunted as the man roughly took hold of his arm to keep him from going anywhere. He was really starting to regret skipping out on so many of Cor's self defence classes. If he could just slip away, he could call Cor and the man would come get him or at the very least, he'd know something was wrong. He didn't think he'd be given the chance to even reach for his phone, let alone use it. "I'm practically a civilian. This is between you and Ardyn, so just back off and leave me out of it, yeah?"
There it was again – another example of being unable to escape this life. Noctis had done nothing wrong. He'd been living a normal, law-abiding life, yet he was about to become a hostage just because he was important to the Lucis Caelum Clan. It didn't seem to matter that he wasn't an official member, nor that he didn't know anything.
"Is that supposed to reassure me?" Considering the guy had almost choked him to death a few minutes ago, he didn't exactly trust him when he said he took care of his hostages. What happened if they couldn't use him to draw Ardyn out? He'd just taken over as chairman, so would he really risk all of that just to save him? Noctis liked to think he would, but in reality, he wasn't so sure. What would happen to him then? If his usefulness ran out, would they let him go or would they kill him to send a message?
He let out a soft huff as he was led down the street by the arm. There weren't all that many people about at this time of night, but even if there had been, nobody would want to interfere with yakuza business. Within a matter of minutes he was shoved into the back of a car. His first thought was to check the door he was up against, but it was locked and when his kidnapper slid into the seat next to him, he was completely trapped.
"Do you really wanna do this? I might not be yakuza myself, but my dad had friends who'll be real pissed if you mess with me."
Ardyn might not do much in his new position, but Clarus and Cor would be on a warpath.
❝ call me a dumbass again, n' i'll wring yer neck in fer real next time, smartass. ❞
retorting to the other's remark of calling him a dumbass for asking two questions, who cared if it was two questions ? majima wouldn't even care if it were three ! this was clearly a lil smartass he had captured. figures as much, chairmen children are kind of feisty little brats.
it was the surprise in the other's expression told majima that this guy had no idea what izunia was doing, that the man was being a right pain to the tojo clan's plans, & even causing issues with his construction company. majima had reports of men not showing up to work, & those men's bodies had then shown up around the sea at the docks. majima had his suspicions when they had a tojo clan meeting not long after, discussing the recent incidents with the lucis caelum clan, & how their new leadership seemed to hold his sights on causing issues for them.
the other had said he was going to head home, but before he could, majima roughly grabbed his arm, not intending to let the caelum out of his sight, or reach.
❝ so what ? honestly can't say i care if bein' choked takes a lot out o' ya, kinda the intention, ain't it ? ❞
majima looked down at the other, taking in what he was dressed in, he honestly dressed like the usual thug around these parts of kamurocho. a bomber jacket with some kind of mythical creature upon it, looked like some kind of big cat with horns, majima couldn't imagine this kid would sport a big cat irezumi, he was nothing like his oath brother saejima or former boss.
❝ yer comin' with me, kid, need someone who might draw that bastard izunia out, right ? don't worry though, i take good care o' my hostages. ❞
if the younger yakuza didn't know a thing that was going on, plan b was to capture one of them, bring them to the tojo headquarters where they would be watched like a hawk, no harm would come to them, that was the chairman's orders, they weren't like that izunia asshole who had taken over the lucis caelum clan ... or his old boss who would torture his hostages into wishing for death. majima would do the same, but this kid had only insulted him, did pull a gun out though, but didn't quite manage to land the hit ; there was even plans to have one of the younger yakuza to defect. so that they could have a spy on the inside of what izunia was planning.
he started to walk the other in the direction of a car one of his men were in, ready to drive them off to the tojo clan headquarters if majima had to bring any company along with him, he hoped his men that he sent to deal with the other younger member were doing okay too, though now when he thinks of it, that member also probably didn't have a clue. this izunia guy didn't seem like the kind of guy that liked to inform anyone of his plans if the son of the former chairman didn't have a single clue.

WE ARE THE LIGHT- TOO
16 And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.
17 And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

.The gift of prophecy
Habakkuk 1:5
Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvelously: for I will work a work in your days which ye will not believe, though it be told you.
NEW [Past teaching- verses below]
I talked about the verses from the Sunday Mass- and added a few thoughts as well.
When Samuel anointed David as a young boy- this enduement of power was given unto him- and it was for a purpose.
David prophesied much in the book of Psalms- he revealed hidden things- things that only God knows.
Yet- thru the gift of prophecy- God also reveals the hidden things in men’s hearts.
The apostle Paul taught us this in the book of Corinthians-
24 But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all:
25 And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest;
Cor. 14
When Jesus healed the blind man in John chapter 9-
For the first time- he ‘saw’.
He saw things that he never 'saw’ before.
He did not know who Jesus was- but simply that a man named Jesus opened his eyes-
John 9:11 He answered and said, A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went and washed, and I received sight.
When we as the church- speak the word of the Lord- it reveals things.
Jesus told us to shout the hidden things upon the housetops-
Matthew 10:27
What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.
One of the functions of the church is to make hidden things manifest.
That speaks of revealing the things that society prefers ‘not be revealed’.
Jesus and the apostles spoke in the audience of the people- and at times the rulers were afraid that their misdeeds would be exposed.
The purpose of this ‘revealing' is not for destruction- but to bring the hidden things to light- and as the apostle says ‘they will fall down on their knees and say God is in you’-
and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth. Cor. 14:25b
Because only God truly knows the secret things in the heart- as the verse from the Mass says-
1Samuel 16:7 But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.
And when those secret things are brought to light- then true repentance comes.
Yes- Jesus told us he is the light of the world-
John 8:12
Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
In Context | Full Chapter | Other Translations
And because we are his- we too are the light of the world-
Matthew 5:14
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
In Context | Full Chapter | Other Translations
The anointing upon David as a boy stayed with him for the rest of his life- he functioned in that gift.
Jesus has given us the Spirt- the Spirit of God is in us-
And like the verse from the Mass said- light reveals stuff- we are the children of light-
Ephesians 5:13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
John 12:36
While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.

He will kill me’. Notice, Samuel feels intimidated and fearful. When he gets to Bethlehem the scripture says the Elders were all in a panic, they said ‘are you come in peace’? Hey, they just heard about the hacking incident, word spreads fast when a prophet straps it on with some pagan! They must have been thinking Samuel was on a warpath. He tells them he is come in peace and wants to sacrifice with them and worship. As a little aside, when you have prophetic ministers in a city, it’s only natural that Elders [pastors] are going to feel intimidated. Why? Are prophets better men? No, but the prophetic operates under a different type of anointing. Don’t forget you already saw Samuel gain a reputation among the people because of his strong prophetic gift. Sometimes pastors can feel intimidated ‘geez, that guy hit the nail on the head. I hope he doesn’t call me out by name too!’ Samuel doesn’t ‘call them out’ but says ‘hey Elders, where all in this together. Let’s worship God’. Samuel finds David and anoints him. Saul is battling with all sorts of personal issues [evil spirit]. Even his close associates can pick up on it. The servants recommend for Saul to get a worshipper who can play music and minister to Saul. They tell him ‘yeah, there is this guy named David. He’s real good at playing music. Plus he is a valiant and mighty warrior’. We often see David as a ‘mamby pamby mamma’s boy’ at this stage of his life. But scripture says he already built up a reputation as a fighter. David takes the job and becomes a musician for Saul. A few thoughts. In this chapter we see Gods Spirit [anointing] leaving Saul and going with David. David himself in Psalms pleas with the Lord ‘take not thy Holy Spirit from me’ after his sin with Bathsheba. Let me encourage some of my Pastor friends. It’s easy to read stuff like this, or for some ‘prophet’ to pronounce stuff like this to a pastor. I really don’t see applying this scenario to modern day ministers. God’s Spirit in the Old Testament was operating differently than today. Only one king at a time could have the ‘kingly anointing’. When the Spirit left Saul for David it was because God was only anointing one person for the job. Today, while it’s possible for a pastor/minister to mess up and ruin his ministry, I still wouldn’t apply stuff like this in too much of a personal way. Sort of like ‘The Lord must have left me and now he’s chosen so and so on the other side of town’. The Lord ‘doesn’t leave you’ in this way under the New Covenant. Paul said the gifts and callings of God are without repentance, in context he is speaking of natural Israel, but you can also apply it to believer’s gifts today. How much God uses you does depend on your willingness and obedience to his call, but don’t think he left ‘your church’ and went to the other one down the street! [he hasn’t written ‘Michelob’ on your door! See entry 887]
John 8-9 [radio # 592] before I cover this, last night I was watching a preacher from a classic type ministry. Not the flamboyant ‘prosperity’ type with gold hanging off and all. I was a bit surprised [let down] to hear him teach the classic errors of the prosperity movement. He took the verse in Corinthians where it says ‘though he was rich yet for your sakes he became poor’ and taught that Jesus died to make you rich financially [ a direct violation of 1st Timothy 6]. He went to Genesis and showed how Abraham was rich, then jumped to Galatians 3 and taught ‘we are Abrahams kids, therefore we get his blessings[stuff]’ a classic mistake in doctrine. I explained this in the book ‘House of Prayer or Den of Thieves’ in the chapter ‘The Abrahamic Blessing’[you can read this book on this site!]. This stuff shouldn’t have been coming from this program, they are not the type that teach this stuff. You could tell from the look on the faces of the audience that they were feeling uncomfortable with what this guy was teaching! Now John 8-9. Jesus says ‘you seek to kill me, a man that has told you the truth that I heard from God’ often times when people are reproved, they don’t like it. It’s not that what the ‘reprover’ is saying is wrong, it’s just we don’t like being confronted with truth. We usually take it out on the messenger. Jesus says ‘before Abraham was, I AM’ this is the name of God in the Old Testament ‘the I AM’. Jesus is the ‘I AM’ in Johns gospel. I AM the door, I AM the resurrection, I AM the way and the truth and the life. I believe you find 7 different ‘I AM’s’ of Jesus in this gospel. Jesus now heals the man who was blind from birth. They ask him ‘who sinned, this man or his parents’? They had a mentality that always wanted to place blame on someone for sickness, sort of like some in the healing movements of today. Jesus said ‘neither’. He simply said ‘this happened to him so I would heal him and God would get glory’. He heals the man and the leaders are mad. ‘Who healed you’? A man called Jesus. They get the guys parents and say ‘you say he was blind, then how come he can see?’ They say ‘ask him’. They go back and ask again. The healed guy answers ‘how many times do you want to hear it, I told you already’. Though the man still doesn’t know Jesus is the Messiah, yet he starts to defend him, and even prophesy! ‘We know that if any man be a worshipper of God, and does his will, him God hears’ good stuff coming from an ‘unsaved’ guy! Jesus hears that they rejected him, he tells the guy ‘I am messiah’ and the guy believes. Jesus says ‘I come to give sight to those who are blind [admit they need help] and to take away sight from those who see’ [think they know it all]. We often can’t receive correction because of religious pride, we think we ‘see everything’ someone comes along and shakes the cart, our first response is ‘who does he think he is, doesn’t he know that we all know more than him’. Quite often whole groups of leaders have the same blind spot. This is what enforces the belief that they must be right! Jesus told them ‘you guys are blind, if you could just admit you didn’t know it all, then I could show you some good stuff, but because you think you already ‘see’ everything, then you are gonna miss out’. Pride is destructive, it keeps us in the dark spiritually. NOTE; Let me give an example. I remember reading an article on tithing from one of the best Christian historical review magazines in print. They do exhaustive historical research on many subjects. To the surprise of the readers, this well respected historical magazine, read by many theologians, showed that all the historical evidence points to the fact that the churches of the first century did not practice tithing! This seemed to go against the grain of what many of the theologians believed, who regularly read this magazine. But you could have easily come to this same understanding from simply reading the New Testament in context. I have basically taught you guys this for years, from scripture. Yet this ‘blind spot’ was an area where many intelligent ‘religious leaders’ were all wrong. They ‘corporately’ were wrong on this subject. It took a ‘jolt’ from true historical evidence before they could ‘see’ the obvious! It would be too humbling to have seen it from a ‘layman firefighter’ who has a web site. NOTE; Tithing as a practice for Christians developed at the same time as ‘the church building’ and the office of ‘Priest’ and eventually the altar [in the Catholic system] and the mass. The church got away from the family/community mindset and took on more of the ‘church building’ form. Tithing fit in easily into an idea of church that asked ‘how much should we put in the offering basket on Sunday’. The whole language and style of church called for the doctrine of tithing to be taught, sort of like a ‘tax’ on the people of God to support ‘the church’. Now, there are some good things that came out of the ‘dark ages’ of Christianity. The ‘desert fathers’, the Catholic mystics and other good spiritual disciplines. I don’t want to fall into the category of those who see the dark ages as a time of no good whatsoever. But we also need to see how the church during that time was very legalistic in the sense that the Mass and Altar and 'Priest’ presiding over the liturgy were all forms of Christian service that were absent from the churches in Scripture. The tithe was just one added aspect of this legalistic approach that seemed to make it all the way into the Protestant churches of today. All these churches are good Christians in my view, but we need to be open to change and reformation as the Spirit leads.

Ephesians 5:14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
1Samuel 16:1 And the LORD said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons.
1Samuel 16:2 And Samuel said, How can I go? if Saul hear it, he will kill me. And the LORD said, Take an heifer with thee, and say, I am come to sacrifice to the LORD.
1Samuel 16:3 And call Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will shew thee what thou shalt do: and thou shalt anoint unto me him whom I name unto thee.
1Samuel 16:4 And Samuel did that which the LORD spake, and came to Bethlehem. And the elders of the town trembled at his coming, and said, Comest thou peaceably?
1Samuel 16:5 And he said, Peaceably: I am come to sacrifice unto the LORD: sanctify yourselves, and come with me to the sacrifice. And he sanctified Jesse and his sons, and called them to the sacrifice.
1Samuel 16:6 And it came to pass, when they were come, that he looked on Eliab, and said, Surely the LORD's anointed is before him.
1Samuel 16:7 But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.
1Samuel 16:8 Then Jesse called Abinadab, and made him pass before Samuel. And he said, Neither hath the LORD chosen this.
1Samuel 16:9 Then Jesse made Shammah to pass by. And he said, Neither hath the LORD chosen this.
1Samuel 16:10 Again, Jesse made seven of his sons to pass before Samuel. And Samuel said unto Jesse, The LORD hath not chosen these.
1Samuel 16:11 And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all thy children? And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither.
1Samuel 16:12 And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the LORD said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he.
1Samuel 16:13 Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah.
1Samuel 16:14 But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.
1Samuel 16:15 And Saul's servants said unto him, Behold now, an evil spirit from God troubleth thee.
1Samuel 16:16 Let our lord now command thy servants, which are before thee, to seek out a man, who is a cunning player on an harp: and it shall come to pass, when the evil spirit from God is upon thee, that he shall play with his hand, and thou shalt be well.
1Samuel 16:17 And Saul said unto his servants, Provide me now a man that can play well, and bring him to me.
1Samuel 16:18 Then answered one of the servants, and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, that is cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war, and prudent in matters, and a comely person, and the LORD is with him.
1Samuel 16:19 Wherefore Saul sent messengers unto Jesse, and said, Send me David thy son, which is with the sheep.
1Samuel 16:20 And Jesse took an ass laden with bread, and a bottle of wine, and a kid, and sent them by David his son unto Saul.
1Samuel 16:21 And David came to Saul, and stood before him: and he loved him greatly; and he became his armourbearer.
1Samuel 16:22 And Saul sent to Jesse, saying, Let David, I pray thee, stand before me; for he hath found favour in my sight.
1Samuel 16:23 And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.
John 9:1 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.
John 9:2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?
John 9:3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
John 9:4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
John 9:5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
John 9:6 When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,
John 9:7 And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.
John 9:8 The neighbours therefore, and they which before had seen him that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged?
John 9:9 Some said, This is he: others said, He is like him: but he said, I am he.
John 9:10 Therefore said they unto him, How were thine eyes opened?
John 9:11 He answered and said, A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went and washed, and I received sight.
John 9:12 Then said they unto him, Where is he? He said, I know not.
John 9:13 They brought to the Pharisees him that aforetime was blind.
John 9:14 And it was the sabbath day when Jesus made the clay, and opened his eyes.
John 9:15 Then again the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. He said unto them, He put clay upon mine eyes, and I washed, and do see.
John 9:16 Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them.
John 9:17 They say unto the blind man again, What sayest thou of him, that he hath opened thine eyes? He said, He is a prophet.
John 9:18 But the Jews did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and received his sight, until they called the parents of him that had received his sight.
John 9:19 And they asked them, saying, Is this your son, who ye say was born blind? how then doth he now see?
John 9:20 His parents answered them and said, We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind:
John 9:21 But by what means he now seeth, we know not; or who hath opened his eyes, we know not: he is of age; ask him: he shall speak for himself.
John 9:22 These words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.
John 9:23 Therefore said his parents, He is of age; ask him.
John 9:24 Then again called they the man that was blind, and said unto him, Give God the praise: we know that this man is a sinner.
John 9:25 He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.
John 9:26 Then said they to him again, What did he to thee? how opened he thine eyes?
John 9:27 He answered them, I have told you already, and ye did not hear: wherefore would ye hear it again? will ye also be his disciples?
John 9:28 Then they reviled him, and said, Thou art his disciple; but we are Moses' disciples.
John 9:29 We know that God spake unto Moses: as for this fellow, we know not from whence he is.
John 9:30 The man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes.
John 9:31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.
John 9:32 Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind.
John 9:33 If this man were not of God, he could do nothing.
John 9:34 They answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out.
John 9:35 Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?
John 9:36 He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him?
John 9:37 And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee.
John 9:38 And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.
John 9:39 And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.
John 9:40 And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also?
John 9:41 Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.
36 And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to meat.
37 And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment,
38 And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.
39 Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.
40 And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on.
41 There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty.
42 And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?
43 Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.
44 And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.
45 Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet.
46 My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment.
47 Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.
48 And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.
49 And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also?
50 And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.
Luke 7
Micah 6:8 [Full Chapter]
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
2 Kings 6King James Version (KJV)
6 And the sons of the prophets said unto Elisha, Behold now, the place where we dwell with thee is too strait for us.
2 Let us go, we pray thee, unto Jordan, and take thence every man a beam, and let us make us a place there, where we may dwell. And he answered, Go ye.
3 And one said, Be content, I pray thee, and go with thy servants. And he answered, I will go.
4 So he went with them. And when they came to Jordan, they cut down wood.
5 But as one was felling a beam, the axe head fell into the water: and he cried, and said, Alas, master! for it was borrowed.
6 And the man of God said, Where fell it? And he shewed him the place. And he cut down a stick, and cast it in thither; and the iron did swim.
7 Therefore said he, Take it up to thee. And he put out his hand, and took it.
8 Then the king of Syria warred against Israel, and took counsel with his servants, saying, In such and such a place shall be my camp.
9 And the man of God sent unto the king of Israel, saying, Beware that thou pass not such a place; for thither the Syrians are come down.
10 And the king of Israel sent to the place which the man of God told him and warned him of, and saved himself there, not once nor twice.
11 Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was sore troubled for this thing; and he called his servants, and said unto them, Will ye not shew me which of us is for the king of Israel?
12 And one of his servants said, None, my lord, O king: but Elisha, the prophet that is in Israel, telleth the king of Israel the words that thou speakest in thy bedchamber.
13 And he said, Go and spy where he is, that I may send and fetch him. And it was told him, saying, Behold, he is in Dothan.
14 Therefore sent he thither horses, and chariots, and a great host: and they came by night, and compassed the city about.
15 And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?
16 And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.
17 And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

For the LC Chase, assuming you don't add in my hypothetical ask, finally Nox is okay with the idea to meet his dad. Ardyn writes up a fancy invitation sealed with magic and a sticky note on top that says Regis and leaves it in Cors mailbox and it says if you would like to meet up here at this time. And Clarus and Cor don't think this is a good idea but Regis is going to do it anyways. When they get there Regis in Arden have a small, awkward talk Nox finally comes out and Regis bluescreens.
Hmmmm if we don’t add in the hypothetical midnight reveal, then this would be HILARIOUS. Claurus and Cor are NOT OKAY with Regis going to this meeting. It’s too suspicious and dangerous!!!!
But Regis is on the warpath to gain Family and so he goes anyway.
The talk is tense and awkward because NIFLHEIM CHANCELLOR IS MY BROTHER???? and Ardyn is being salty (and Regis and Cor hasn’t SEEN the scars yet, only have suspicions about Mors from talking to Cid and reading the sticky notes) but then there’s a soft scuff of feet from behind Ardyn and Regis looks and-
His brain.
Breaks.
There’s a teenager there with his eyes and cheekbones, his black hair-
His magic.
Ardyn smiles and it’s not a nice smile, “Ah, did I forget to mention this meeting wasn’t for the two of us? It was requested by my nephew.” The teenager slinks closer, fear and nerves in every line and note of his magic, and Ardyn possessively wraps an arm around the boy’s shoulders, his own magic leaking out in biting warning at Regis, “Your Majesty,” Ardyn purrs sarcastically, “Meet Nox. My beloved deceased half-sibling’s child.”
minor edit made to corrected diseased to deceased because I CAN NEVER KEEP THOSE STRAIGHT hgfhgfd thank you for pointing it out @dogsanddigimon

*snicker* Mental image, for the Great LC Chase - when Cor puts off chasing The Mysterious LCs for a while, he starts to find sparkly glitter post-it notes in his mailbox. (Ardyn gets /bored/ without his favorite Lionheart chasing him down).
YES.
*cackles* Cor is a Fury because the notes are INSIDE HIS MAILBOX. Not in a letter, not sent through the postal system, but STICKIED INSIDE HIS MAILBOX.
THE MYSTERY LC WAS RIGHT THERE. IN HIS FRONT YARD. AND HE NEVER SAW HIM.
Cor probably bursts into Regis’s study, slaps the notes on the table and hisses, “I HATE all your relatives.”
Ardyn meanwhile, is having a grand old time infiltrating Insomnia and leaving sticky notes EVERYWHERE. In the Citadel, at Clarus’s fav restaurant when he’s there, on the MIRROR OF COR’S HOUSE (and that is the point teen Nox reigns him in because there’s pranks and then there’s stalker behavior tone it down uncle).
On the plus side, Cor goes on the utter warpath trying to find Ardyn so the chase is back on in SPADES.

Ooo, we could make it worse! Glaives meet Aeon at the worst time - Noctis being stuck in the citadel because somebody hurt him. Aeon wants to go on the bloody warpath, and only Noctis' pleas for Aeon to stay close stops him.
So Aeon's response to concerned glaives is basically 'that's nice but you're not mine and my chickadee is hurting so get out of my way.'
Because his mother is important to Aeon, but she is dead. And nothing can be done for the dead.
Galadh - it feels important, somehow. But it's not his the way Cor and Noctis & his friends are his. (It's not even his the way Ardyn is his, untrusted, hated but still belonging to him.) Which means it isn't important. Not when it comes down to the blood-soaked territory of 'what I will do anything to keep'.

replied to your post:
“Imagine some of the galahdian glaives recognising Aeon but insted of…”
:
I think the Galahdian community is going to find Aeon’s entire ‘eh’-ness to the fact that they forgot him even MORE horrifying - it implies that he’s been so completely cut off that he accepts it as NORMAL and - that aint RIGHT.
they will! they find the fact that one of their children doesn’t really care that he’s been forgotten disturbing to say the least. they find his lack of self care and survival instincts even more disturbing.
so every galahdian that meets him promptly tries to adopt him.

Hi! One: no, the other asks were much older, hopefully i did not forget to sign them. The one you are poking at was the last of this batch 😁 I hoped to make you laugh/smile with it and the 666 one😜 Two: imagine, some bullies lacking self preservation instincts and ignoring Goosecor attempt to gang up on Prompto - only for the spell to run out and for the boys to be faced with a glaring Cor looming over the Nif. 😈 Three: PRANK TRAPS! Regis and Glaives+Ostiums.... (1Ignis)
Anonymous said:
(2ignis) Regis and Glaives+Ostiums falling into prank traps/practical jokes while trying to locate the Ulric-like LC! Muahahahahaha! Four: one of the snippets broke my heart, seriously I'm hoping for a happy ending there with Ardyn finally able to live out a life being free and Somnyx managing to court Luna. Five: CyraxLibs meeting was adorable for all that Susurrus is a bit of an ass. IgnisFelicis
Yay! I might still have some of your asks buried in my box, so that might be where any missing older ones went. We’ll see if I ever manage to get my ask box under control. I did laugh with that one, it was funny XD.
Ooooo boy XD. Those bullies are in for a SHOCK. Cor is on the warpath™ and now he has his thumbs back. >:D
ALL THE PRANK TRAPS. Glitter is now a part of Regis and Co’s daily existence, there is now escape. They don’t even run into glitter traps that often it’s just- THERE. It stays. You get hit by a glitter trap once and glitter is there forever now. XD
The Ostiums are the ones who get out mostly unscathed because they are used to this kind of insanity. Cor ... not so much.
Cor, to Nyx, as he stomps by with bright pink hair: Not. A. Word.
Nyx, dying of laughter internally: Yes sir.
The Somnyx one-shot will have a happy ending! Promise! They just ... gotta earn it first. >:)
Susurrus is, indeed, a bit of that yeah. XD Good thing only Cyra has to really deal with him.

*yeets Byakuran reborn as Ravus, Yuni as Luna, Tsuna as Noctis, Hibari as Crowe* *runs like hell*
*chases after you with armiger because HOW DARE*
-Byakuran totally doesn’t panic when he is reborn. Not really, he ACTUALLY DOESN’T.
-Mostly because he doesn’t Remember until he’s four and Luna is born and he can FEEL her soul down to his bones and everything in him goes “Yuki” and suddenly he remembers.
-Byakuran wakes up a week later to a very worried mom and a royal staff that are convinced poor Byakuran is a very rare instance of a male who can use Oracle magic, just as a Seer variant (which, in this verse, has happened before, it’s the only way male Nox Fleuret get to use magic).
-Yuni Remembers the moment her eyes are developed enough to see Byakuran in proper detail and that’s when the little lightbulb comes on in Byakuran’s head. They have to see another reincarnation in order to Remember.
-Well. After Dear Tsunayoshi had fixed his head, Byakuran always did consider Yuni a little sister anyway. Nice to see some things carrying over.
-They wonder for a while if they are the only two, keep it to themselves and watch closely for any signs of anyone else Remembering. Mostly though, they live their new lives as Luna and Ravus. They like being Luna and Ravus, sure, it’s odd to be in a world without Flames, but the magic in their veins is remarkably like them, and whatever oddity usually keeps male Nox Fleuret from using magic doesn’t effect Ravus in the slightest (though he keeps that a secret too). Their mother is a wonderful woman and the servants are kind (if exasperated by the eldest child’s obsession with marshmallows and other candies and his tendency to prank). This is good new life to life, one without Mafia and cursed rings and Vindice.
-They learn of the Prophecy and- well- they’ve seen this kind of thing before. They know how this story is supposed to end.
-They start plotting instead.
...
-Crowe has always been ... off. Wrong. The other children at the Orphanage all know that, and so do the Matrons, but Crowe doesn’t care. She is feral and wild and FURIOUS at the world, a burning-eyed child who hates because something deep inside hurts, like something is tearing her soul apart from the loss of it and nothing will fix it, and the pain drives her into a constant frenzy of patrolling and biting and hitting. She keeps the Orphanage safe even though it isn’t home (it is not her Territory it is not right not right not right) and defends the Herbivores other children even though they don’t like her (aren't Pack never Pack where is her Pack where is HER SKY-).
-Galahd begins to burn and Crowe fights. She tears the units apart with the ferocity of pain that has been in her blood all her life and then limps away when the battle is done (not won, she is too WEAK like this). She meets Nyx and Libertus and Selena and at first she hates them too. Bites and snarls when they try to drag her away from the battlefield. But they do not leave, or recoil from her. They stay and they insist on staying and something in her chest eases ever so slightly (Territory, her Territory. Not her old Pack, but New Pack, and it helps just a bit). She dubs them Reckless Carnivore (Nyx), Fussy Omnivore (Libertus), and Baby Carnivore (Selena). Somehow they, unlike anyone else in her this life, knows that these titles are important and special. Not insults or insanity. She promises to protect them always.
-Then Galahd falls, too fast and hard to save and they run for the boats rather than fight and Crowe SCREAMS as she tears apart the soulless metal husks that pretend to be soldiers as they try to murder her Pack and Territory. She rips them asunder with her bare hands, unnatural strength in her bones as overhead the sky screams with the Storm Father’s wrath. Crowe covers Selena with her own body and hears Nyx and Libertus scream as the bullets tear open her skin.
-(Somewhere far away, a tiny Princeling SCREAMS like his soul has just been ripped out, screams and leaks magic in desperation as he reaches for something he was not know he had until he was at risk of losing it).
-From the storm clouds above, Ramuh hears the plea of the Chosen, reaches down a hand and heals Crowe’s wounds, fills her with the biting sharp energy of the storm and Crowe gets up, magic and blood on her skin and her eyes a bright lightning purple.
-All four make it to the boats. Just this once Crowe lets them crowd close to cry all over her as they watch their homeland (but not home, not to her) fade away.
-(Far away a little prince collapses in exhaustion, leaving his family and caretakers frantic in confusion over what just happened and why, he wakes up with no answer for his panic or the tears of relief streaming down his face).
-They make it to Insomnia. Libertus and Nyx are just 17, Crowe is 14, Selena is the youngest at 12. The eldest two join the Kingsglaive and Crowe seethes over it, over them receiving power and money and shelter in exchange for being CHAINED by a foreigner herbivore (They try to explain it doesn’t feel like chains at all, but Crowe cannot comprehend it and so just snarls).
-The ache in her chest is so much worse now. She picks fights with anything, bloody and vicious and uncontrolled. They have to pull her away from fights more than once before she can outright kill something. She tries to explain that her soul hurts, that something is GONE and someone has TAKEN IT but she can’t. That feeling has been with her all her life and she still cannot explain what it is.
-Then one day she sits in the ratty apartment they all share for convenience sake (she hates crowding, but this is a city of strangers and she would rather her Territory be safe than her own personal bubble be maintained at risk of their wellbeing) and watches the television with Selena, watching the royal parade that celebrate’s the birthday of the foreigner herbivore king’s welp and-
-The boy appears on the screen. Shy and blue-eyed and smiling at the cameras from where he gets to watch the parade and Crowe-
-Falls.
-She is a Carnivore and always has been. The first female Hibari heir in a century not from choice but happenstance and none will take the right from her. She is Namimori’s protector and Fluffy Carnivore’s Cloud and Tricker Carnivore’s mate and she is- she is-
-Living-dying-breathing-fighting-Clouds-and-Skies-and-freedom-and-mine-mine-mineminedon’tgodon’tLEAVECOMEBACKTOME
-Selena calls Nyx and Lib in a panic even though they are on duty as extra security, sobbing about Crowe SCREAMING and using the magic Storm Father gave her and then passing out with a fever on the floor. By the time they get off shift (they can’t leave early, they are on security detail for the prince himself) and run home, Selena has worked herself into hysterics because Crowe won’t WAKE UP.
-They worry for three days. They would take her to get help, but they are new to the city and how they work. Galahd didn’t have hospitals save in the port towns, and Libertus and Nyx don’t know what to do beyond call a medicine woman, except Insomnia does not have those and the one in Little Galahd cannot determine what is wrong.
-Three days after the parade, Libertus peers into the bedroom (there was only one, the boys slept in the living room while the girls shared the cramped bedroom) and nearly has a heart attack because Crowe is GONE.
-He has no time to worry about that, because an emergency alert comes through his and Nyx’s phone. Code Cerulean. Someone has broken into the Citadel and is NOT STOPPING and all hands are needed to find and stop the threat. They run to the Citadel, cursing the entire way and hoping Crowe is alright.
-They start to get a dreadful sneaking suspicion when they meet the Captain, who is seething as he gives orders from a chair because his legs have been broken by the intruder when he engaged them. Nyx sees what look like very nasty, vicious bite marks under the bandages on Captain’s wrist, like someone bit and then shook and refused to let go until the last second and feels his stomach drop. It can’t be.
-Literally half of the Crownsguard, ten glaives, a pyre-cursed amount of sabotage, bite marks, fractured marble walls and floors, and one very thoroughly winded and staticky Cor the Immortal later and Nyx and Lib can no longer deny what’s going on. Crowe is here in the Citadel and seems to be on the warpath to murder something. They rush to be the first to find her, because maybe they can talk her down and smuggle her out before their Pack sister get’s executed for wreaking this much havoc and assault in the Citadel.
-They finally find her in the Crown Prince’s quarters, having followed the blood trail of one particularly stubborn but unlucky Crownsguard to the living floors and extrapolating from there. They both burst in, more than half convinced they are about to have to kill their own friend for murdering the little prince-.
-Said prince is shamelessly bawling on Crowe’s shoulder, clutching at her clothes like she’ll disappear if he lets go, heedless of the blood on her clothes and hands and hunting knives while the prince’s poor young advisor stands stiffly in the corner, afraid to move lest he get attacked by the feral teenager that just broke in.
-Crowe looks up at their entrance and smiles, teeth bloody but not from her blood, purple-tinted eyes ALIGHT with a joy that takes their breath away (because Crowe is never happy, NEVER, she is content sometimes, but happiness has always been out of reach when something inside her is always so angry and hurting for reasons even she never knew).
-She calls their nicknames and gently runs one bloody hand through the Prince’s hair, possessiveness in every line as she coos at them to “Come meet her Fluffy Sky Carnivore.”
-Of course, before Libertus and Nyx can reboot their brains, the King storms in, his Shield and the recovered Marshal on either side, magic bristling protectively like heavy thunder in the air.
-Crowe snarls at the king, face twisting into a feral expression as she pulls the Crown Prince closer to her and Nyx is SURE that this is it, he’s either going to witness Crowe’s death or the king’s, when the Crown Prince sniffles and pats Crowe’s cheek, “It’s okay, Kyo. He’s a good dad. He loves me. He’s mine.”
-And Crowe grumbles as she relaxes, pulls the Crown Prince more firmly into her lap and hisses defiantly when the Marshal stiffens at the motion. Crown Prince Noctis pats her again, and the king must feel something from the gesture because he groans, “Noctis- Noctis NO. She broke into the Citadel, she’s injured half of our Crownsguard. She’s DANGEROUS.”
-And the Crown Prince just settles more firmly against Crowe while Crowe SMIRKS like she’s just been complemented, and blue eyes burn bright amber as the Crown Prince announces calmly, “She’s MINE.”
-And Nyx realizes he can feel the little prince’s magic pounding a second heartbeat in Crowe’s chest like it had always belonged there.
...
-Noctis remembers being Tsunayoshi, in a dreamy, vague way that can only be his Vongola Intuition come back to haunt, but he doesn’t Remember until Hibari Kyoka (now called Crowe Altius) breaks into the Citadel and wreaks total havoc in her efforts to get upstairs to him. She breaks into his room and he has only a moment to be scared of the bloody intruder while Ignis dives at her in a vain attempt to defend Noctis when he meets her eyes and-
-Everything in his mind unfurls.
-He doesn’t pass out, but that’s probably only because of how long his dreams have been haunted by his past life. Tsunayoshi blinks twice and then resettles back into the skin of Noctis before leaping up with Kyoka’s old name on his lips. In an instant Ignis is pushed aside (not harmed, because he bears Noctis’s magic, and that marks him as Territory too). Kyoka snatches Noctis into her arms and he can FEEL the gaping whole in her soul where their bond should be and he sobs on both of their behalves as he pours his magic into the gap, clings to her and sobs harder when she LETS HIM (and doesn’t that tell just how desperate she was, how lonely and lost and angry that she lets him crowd without hesitation).
-Two Glaives burst in a few moments later and Noctis tries to compose himself as Kyoka smiles warmly at them (Territory, they are her Territory so he must protect them-) and invites them closer. His father, Clarus, and Cor all burst in moments after that and Kyoka SNARLS ready to fight, because Tsunayoshi’s father had been a terrible man and she has no reference for this one. Noctis soothes her, then looks his father dead in the eye and names this woman HIS.
-His father can feel the magic Noctis has given her. They both know it is too late to change Noctis’s mind.
-Crowe sticks around. Disappearing from sight only to reappear the moment anyone acting poorly around Noctis. Noctis knew his father (and wasn’t it novel to have a loving father this time) was worried at the fanaticism in Crowe’s gaze, but Crowe had been blessed by Ramuh (how had THAT HAPPENED hieeeee) and he eventually concludes that loyalty to Noctis was Ramuh’s price for the Blessing. Noctis doesn’t bother to correct him.
-Nyx and Libertus and Selena are all very nice people. He’s glad Crowe was not alone all these years.
-Noctis narrowly avoids death by marilith when he senses it coming on the way back to Insomnia and screams desperately for the driver to turn around. They stop to see what is wrong with him and Crowe launches herself out of the back seat to fight the thing in time to keep it from reaching the car. Noctis had taken one look at his Cloud in mortal peril from a giant nightmare monster and lit the night with magical fire that burned amber and white from the heat.
-Crowe hates Gladiolus within their first meeting, probably because Gladiolus thinks Noctis is spoiled and wimpy. She refrains from killing him only because Noctis says so, but seethes whenever Noctis comes back from yet another training session spent meekly following Gladiolus’s orders and getting sneered at for it.
-It doesn’t occur to Noctis to change his behavior or to tell his father about Gladiolus’s attitude. Because Noctis is Tsunayoshi and no matter how many years he was a respected and fear mafia boss, some part of him will always quietly wait for the other shoe to drop and the abuse to start. So the sneering and too-long spars as Gladiolus tries to make Noctis a swordsman when he hates fighting with anything but his hands is nothing new, and nothing compared to Reborn’s training. So he lets it go.
-Until one day Gladiolus gets past his guard and accidentally hits far too hard. Noctis feels something give and it hurts to breathe. He knows he should call the match right there.
-He doesn’t, because there’s a voice in his head going “a mafia boss doesn’t quit, Dame-Tsuna” and Gladiolus is looking at him with those eyes again. So Noctis gets up and keeps going past the pain that gets worse the more he moves.
-He can barely pretend to be normal as he walks back to his suite, settles on the couch with a wheeze that tastes like newly minted coins. Crowe is at his side in an instant (she was never allowed to watch the training for fear of what she’d do to Gladio) and a moment later she’s yelling for Ignis. Who then calls the doctors and the next thing Noctis knows he’s in the medical wing being treated for a broken rib and a nicked lung.
-His father is there, worried and angry both and demands to know why Noctis didn’t SAY ANYTHING. He could have DIED. How had this happened?
-Noctis doesn’t want to get Gladiolus in trouble, because he knows the boy didn’t mean to, but his dad is looking at him with too serious eyes and Noctis can do nothing else but tell what happened.
-Gladiolus goes pale when he hears the story. He gets even paler when, upon being asked yet again why he didn’t STOP, Noctis whispers, “I didn’t want to be a wimpy brat...”
-Crowe snarls, thick and dark and feral, a terrifying, unnatural sound, and Noctis winces at the look on Crowe’s face as Gladiolus is led away for a punishment and nasty lecture from Clarus. Noctis knows it will take years, if ever, for Crowe to forgive Gladio.
-Crowe brings him Prompto two weeks later as a comfort gift. Yes. Brings. Crowe, on her patrol, spotted the cute boy talking to himself, apparently trying to work up the nerve to talk to Noctis, and decided he would make a good addition. She then proceeded to pick him up and carry him all the way to the Citadel, depositing the wide-eyed boy at Noctis’s side on the couch in his room before sauntering away in satisfaction. Surprisingly, despite this horrible first impression, Prompto agreed to be Noctis’s friend anyway. Noctis was glad to have someone else on his side who understood how terrifying Crowe could be and how awesome Ignis was.
...
-The four reincarnated souls do not all reunite until years later. A formal visit from Queen Sylva of Tenebrae and her two children. Noctis, 14 years old and wise beyond his years, takes one look at the absentminded look in Luna’s eyes, like she’s seeing everything and nothing, and Ravus cheerfully tossing a marshmallow in his mouth when no one else is looking and Knows. He smiles back at them, pleased to see another old friend, then groans when Crowe grabs her tonfa and lunges.
-It was only Ravus’s delighted laughter that kept the Tenebrae delegation from assuming this was an assassination attack. It also helped that Byakuran had always been adept at bribing his wife, and clearly still kept the habit of carrying around her favorite flavor of sweet. Ravus offered her the candy in his pocket in exchange for Crowe to stop fighting him (for now) and Crowe snatched it with a contented, “I will bite you later Trickster Carnivore,” before sauntering back to Noctis’s side while he groaned into his hands and the adults all sputtered at her choice of wording.
-What a wonderful first impression, Crowe. Thank you. Really.

So, Sephiroth!Titus ask - when Ardyn comes to Insomnia with the Oracle sibs Seph starts paying attention to what is and isn't implied/said about the Chancellor. And in 0.5s he goes from 'i don't care about you beyond your status as an obstacle/enemy' to 'excuse me while I pull Masamune on this idiot that triggered my Hojo memories too much'. Zack, Cloud, do you want to come along? IgnisFelicis
*cackles* I’m assuming you mean Seph goes on the warpath against Besithia for what he did to Ardyn so BASICALLY YEAH. Noctis and Prompto already have their blades out and their bags packed and Prompto’s like “Dibs on his eyeballs” and Cor has to talk them all down from invading Niflheim to get to Besithia.
Ardyn is .... oddly touched.

Yikes!
That's not going to be fun for Noctis. Realising that for his new brother to be 13-ish, their Dad had to get with the mother pretty much right after Noct failed to use black magic.
From pragmatic standpoint, that's pretty understandable - he needs an heir with strong magic to protect Lucis. From emotional, Noctis is going to be devastated. This essentially confirms in his mind that he was not good enough, that his Dad considered him replaceable.
Noctis might even wonder if Regis knew he has another son. If he left before the kid was born, or even before the pregnancy was confirmed, because it turned out he doesn't really need another heir. Yeah, it's gonna be very messy, very soon.
Regis better... wait, he can't run, he has a bad leg. Ok, Regis better take cover, because Hiemi and Ardyn are gonna be on a warpath. Potentially also Ignis and Gladio, depending on when they get brought up to date.
I wonder how it would look like from Regis' standpoint. Because he knows he didn't have any relationship within the necessary time period. But there's most definitely a kid that's related to him. A Mystery TM!
(Tho, if they know about Nif's cloning experiments, that would provide some kind of a possible explanation. And raise bunch of questions, like how they got their hands on Regis' blood and when, and where is the leak. Cor is going to very busy in the near future.)
I was wrong :D I have further questions :D
What was Noctis' reaction to young Mors (Vito?) in that one au off-shot where he reincarnated? Like, the kid looks enough like Noct (like Regis) to quite possibly be his younger brother. He's going to have some thoughts about that for sure (mostly of the what the fuck dad variety, I bet).
Or Ardyn's opinion for that matter?
If Noctis had a yen for every time he found an unconscious child in an alleyway, he would have to yen, which wasn't much, but it was strange that it had heppened twice.
However, differently from Solaris, this one did not look like they would bleed out any second. No, this one looked like they were sleeping. In a pile of rubble that had come down not too long ago. Which was why Noctis was there in the first place.
"Hey kid, you okay?" he called.
No answer came. Of course not. The kid was out like a light.
He stepped closer, taking care not to stumble over the rubble spread everywhere. In the centre the laid the kid, curled up, face nearly between the knees. The position did not look comfortable.
Noctis reached out a hand, golden sparks dancing between his fingers. There was something strange going on, he could feel it. The atmosphere was thick and every breath made Noctis think about nearly forgotten dreams.
The kid's skin was cold to the touch and very pale, like it rarely if ever saw sunlight.
"Libra," Noctis murmured.
There... was nothing physically wrong. But something niggled at the back of Noctis's mind, if only he could...
As he carefully turned around the kid to get a better look, Noctis let out a startled breath, thoughts scattering to the wind.
"What the fuck?" His voice came out in a breathless whisper. He swallowed, mouth suddenly dry.
What were the chances of finding two Lucis Caelum kids unconscious in an alleyway?
None.
But here lay the second one right in front of him. It was a boy, with a long, thin face, dark hair and familiar bony limbs.
"What the fuck. Dad!"
Sadly - or luckily, depending on ones point of view - Regis Lucis Caelum was in the Citadel listening to a rather long winded petition, and so was no where near this alleyway.
The one person who had heard Noctis curse out his father was one Ardyn Lucis Caelum. When he saw the unconscious child, he laughed, before helping his nephew to bring the child back to the clinic.

(Xaela) Another thought! Exactly how bad is it in Insomnia during this? Cause, y'know, the King is /missing/. Along with the heir. And the back up heir. And the everyone else has died so you're in charge heir(Ardyn). I feel that their would be explosions. All 4 Shields are freaking out. Depending on the timeline Nyx would very much like her boyfriend/husband back k thanks. And The mess that is Ignis with a missing Noct. And Cor. Like everbody is super protective of their LC and they're missing.
*cackles* ALL THE PANIC.
-Titus is on the warpath. Cor is on the warpath. EVERYONE IS ON THE FREAKING WARPATH OKAY. Nyx is getting ready to gut someone to bring her husband back and also trying to figure out how four LCs just UP AND VANISH with no explanation because seriously COME ON.
-Ignis is one step away from a knife-filled meltdown, Axis is already IN the stages of his meltdown, and Clarus is just like OF ALL THE- REGIS. REGIS YOU PROMISED NOT TO DO THIS KIND OF IMPOSSIBLE MAGIC NONSENSE AFTER YOU TURNED THIRTY. REGIS GET BACK HERE RIGHT NOW.
-The four LCs are going to be lectured for LIFE when they get back. Regis is going to be so indignant because he didn’t MEAN to disappear. It’s not like he wanted this to happen and HE’S not the one who went and hammed up the bad guy schtick THANK YOU.
-Ardyn, in the middle of being fussed to death by Titus, is like “hey!”
-Nox just shrugs and accepts his fate because he’s been through this like three four times already in different dimensions and timelines so he’s used to his friends wigging out over his return.
-Noctis whines as Ignis grabs him by the ear, yelling the entire time like the Team Mom he is and Gladio LOOMS in the back.
