(Trans women usopp has stolen my heart I think just love women in general ) Usopp Robin and Nami have a nice self care day with just the girls. (Chopper is invited too, they can't say no to him.) They stay in the shower room, they fill the bath and run the showers on hot. They play relaxing music, Nami bought lavender shower steamers, Robin lit candles. Usopp gets sanji to make hors d'oeuvres and fancy drinks he leaves them at the bathroom door. No peeking!
Chopper brought a video transponder snail to watch a movie. Usopp does their hair she's been practicing her braiding. She gave Robin a nice Dutch braid and Nami a mermaid tail. She also curled copper's little tuff of fur on his head, in return robin has been researching how to do textured hair and gave her a French braid and afro puff combo.
While they were relaxing and talking Luffy showed up asking what they were doing? Nami scolds him for coming in knowing that they're all naked and asks why is he even here? and close the door he knows how fast Brooke and Sanji are.
Luffy explained he only came into the bathroom because he needed to poop (no manners whatsoever) and Zoro was using the other bathroom to meditate. Robin and Usopp are not really affected by his antics and just enjoy Nami yelling at him. Luffy being unfazed by her tongue lashing casually sits down and eats the treats Sanji made for them. He doesn't get why it's such a big deal. Like you're just naked, plus chopper is here and he's not a girl and he's seen usopp naked before (granted this was pre-transition but I guess his point still stands)
Robin invites him to join them but lock the door. You may be the exception but the others are not. Despite Nami's protests Luffy has already stripped and jumped in slashing every one ( imagine getting so far in his journey to become the king of the pirates only to die in bathwater). She sighed in defeat and just accepted that he's here, could be worse.
They continue what they were talking about. Nami is learning how to make hail and she made a tornado by accident of course and she's still trying to recreate it.
Usopp learned how to crossbreed one of her poison pop seeds and her thorny pop seats and made a new weapon. She's also trying to make a pleasant smelling corpse plant. She tried roses, lavender and even sage. But nothing works. Nami suggests that maybe she should use tangerines to cross breed.
Robin has been researching about a vase she found, made of wood and clay. Apparently it's from an island that is isolated from the rest of the world. Everything is handmade or out of scratch, their recipes, their clothing even their soaps. All of their food is homegrown and their meat is known as the best meat in the world.
Luffy didn't need any more convincing he got out and commanded Franky to change course to go to find this island. (Sanji and Brooke tackled Luffy demanding every juicy detail of what he saw in there.) Of course everyone had to get out and get to their stations ruining their whole little spa day. Nami was specifically pissed because she's the navigator.
I love women too <- A lesbian.
This is such a cute and adorable idea!!! I love them!!! I've always thought Nami and Robin let Usopp join their girl nights even before coming out bc they've always felt safe around her, and when she came out it wasn't really a surprise to them tbh. Their spa day looks so cozy and relaxing (until they interrupt them)!! It sounds great. They'd do this 100%. And Luffy would stay bc Luffy is Luffy and the concept of intimacy for him isn't really a thing. Plus bold of you to assume he's a man. Non-binary king, that's what he is. Also Chopper staying with them also makes sense and it's extremely cute!!! Sanji is literally dying to go in there lmfao-- Not to make this about Sanuso but I think he waits by the bathroom door like a wet dog to see his girlfriend again. He misses her! Clingy golden retriever.
#their girl time together is literally the best place for gossiping too#one piece#usopp#nami#nico robin#tony tony chopper#monkey d. luffy#transfem usopp#sanuso

April Prompt 25 for @hinnymicrofic. (606 words — sort of micro?)
It’s a housewarming gift for them both, perched on the credenza in their first flat once her rookie contract is up. Neville’s wrapped a bow around the pot, rhapsodizes over its soothing properties: It’s heralded as a rare treasure in the mountains of Ecuador.
Two spindly stalks, reaching from dark soil like outstretched hands. Colorful, waxy leaves that move as though breathing.
Spring warms to summer amid unpacking, Euro Cup qualifiers blaring from the wireless, family stopping in to share a pint and admire their view from the balcony. The branches dance animatedly among raucous cheers and clinking bottles when England secures third rank. The hum of London presses against the windows.
She buys a copper watering can. Most days, she remembers to check the soil’s dampness. Fills vases with flowers, burns fewer meals on the stove. Cleans to prepare for Teddy’s first stay, realizes her mistake among sticky handprints and biscuits crushed into the rug.
Ron brings in a Muggle telly amid her peals of laughter. They set it up, and the four watch Notting Hill that night. Later, she leaves the room halfway through Fight Club. The branches shudder.
The leaves tremble with excitement when an owl brings her first full-time contract: three years, better pay. She takes an interview with Quidditch Weekly from their living room while he’s at work.
July brings long days and longer nights, giggling returns from the pubs and a lopsided cake she’s made him. Their party guests file out and then he’s kissing her neck, pressing her against the wall.
The leaves along the street change color. The ones inside are unaffected. It’s quiet most days; he departs before the sun’s fully risen, she rushes off for practice with toast and coffee. A week into preseason, she takes another interview, Witch Weekly this time. He’s away six days. Arrives late, holds her close on the sofa until dawn.
Late nights, candles burning low on the desk. He brings work home, pores over evidence, accepts mugs of tea. She kisses his forehead, hands find his shoulders. Anxiety undulates from the stem through the branches.
He falls asleep on the sofa. When she wakes him, the curse narrowly misses the plant, singes a hole in the wall.
Time together grows sparse. She travels for matches, he leads his first mission abroad. She loses, he fails. The leaves grow paler, stems yellowing in their absence.
In winter, a week on the sofa with a concussion and the clanging radiator. She grows restless, waters it plenty, buys a bigger pot.
Fireside chats with Luna over glasses of pinot noir, secrets spilled. He’s not sleeping. She’s worried this case is hitting too close. Ron’s thinking of buying a ring.
They forget to put up a tree, and Andromeda chastises them. Next morning he brings one home, wet from sleet, needles everywhere. She sips mulled wine and he lifts Teddy to add the star. Ties a bow around a toy broomstick.
It’s mid-January when they notice. She’s up 3-1 on away matches, he’s back from St. Mungo’s with a case file to close out. Crisp leaves scattered around the pot, withered stems and cracked soil. He suggests they consult Neville. She jokes that she’ll make a terrible mother, and he’s quiet.
Spring brings the chance to have a better year. Playoffs, holidays planned for the summer, an engagement party with the pop of champagne. She makes him dance in the living room one night, a song from Percy’s wedding, pulling him back to the moment, leaving the war behind.
Outside the window, the tips of branches bud with promises of green.

Au Ra April & Vierapril 2024
VI. Fave Weapon & Bloom
Seishin is at his happiest with dirt under his fingernails.
It is a meditative act, gardening. Tilling the soil with scarred fingers, twisting the roots of a weed around them and pulling it out by ghost-white tendrils. Sowing and reaping, cultivating; creating life with hands that take it.
He sits on his knees in the yard repentantly as he works amid vegetables and sheaves of amber. It’s smaller than the farm and gardens of his youth, but it fits them; it’s theirs. With fists that strike, that kill, he nurtures and protects. His hands are both his weapons and the tools of a healer.
He punches holes in the dirt to plant seeds. His arms bare the tale of revolution. On their surface scars crisscross like river channels. Some tell stories; many are lost to time. There are some he can name: a knuckle where a chisel slipped; a slash from Ran’jit’s scythe on his forearm; a chip on his ivory scales from a woodsaw; a lucky shot from a Garlean soldier whose name he’ll never know but whose life he ended with the same hand. He pats down the soil around the seeds like a grave and grabs a copper watering can to nourish them.
The sun is getting low and the air cool and dewy as he finishes his work planting and weeding. After putting the rest of his tools away he pulls from his belt a kama, the gentle curve of its blade glinting in the evening light, and makes his way to a stand of blooming brightlilies. In genuflection he kneels to them and wraps his fingers around the flower stalks like arteries and pulls them taut, holds the blade against their stems. The petals are vibrant bursts of sunset orange and yellow, and when Seishin cuts their shoots they come soft and willingly.
Inside, the lights are warm and a pleasant aroma hangs in the air. As Seishin removes his sandals in the entryway, a sweet voice greets him from around the corner. “Perfect timing, Seishin! Bertram should be done with dinner soon.” Styrnrael appears, in a sleeveless top and jacket tied around her waist, wiping the sweat from her brow with one hand and holding a broom with the other. “Oh!” she exclaims when she sees the flowers in his hands. A familiar tenderness spreads in Seishin’s chest when she smiles. She rests the broom against the wall and goes to him on the steps, bounding across the wooden floor with the same perfect balance she has on the battlefield. She puts her smaller hands on his as she leans in to smell the lilies. There is a resonance in the way the callouses on her sword hand rub against his scars.
She pulls away from the flowers and Seishin laughs and wipes some pollen that got on her nose, orange upon indigo. He rests his fingers against her horn and the dark scales on the side of her face and pulls her into a kiss. They stay for a moment, foreheads pressed together, smiling against each other’s lips. She holds her hand on his chest, just above the sweeping scar left by Zenos’ blade. Most of Styrnrael's own scars are on the inside, on her heart and her mind. Memories she had lost, and more she doubtless wishes she could. “I think I know the perfect thing to put these flowers in,” she says, and he follows her into the sunroom where she grabs a crystal blue vase from the bottom shelf of his planting bench. Before handing it to him she runs a cloth through the inside of the deep drum to clean out any dust. Her wrist flicks with the expert strokes of a fencer. Many stories have met sudden conclusions by that same movement.
“I’m going to go get changed before dinner,” she says, leaning up to kiss him again before they part. “Don’t forget to wash up!”
“I’ll be there soon,” he smiles, and after she leaves Seishin fills the vase with water and trims the stems at an angle. He peels the ends apart slightly with his fingertips: another little violence in the crafting of something beautiful. He takes his cobalt hair down and washes his hands, and grabs a clean overshirt from a hook next to Styrn’s sunhat.
He heads downstairs with vase in hand and his footsteps are gradually drowned out by the loud sizzle of meat and vegetables in a wok. A familiar sweet and savory smell fills Seishin’s nostrils. He rounds the corner at the bottom and Bertram is in the kitchen with his back turned. Under his apron his white sleeves are rolled up to his elbows, exposing his own rosy map of scars of blade and fire. They tell the story of a survivor, against Word, against time, against despair; of pain and rebirth in the flame. He deftly wields a pair of long bamboo chopsticks, at home with them perhaps even more than he is with sword and scythe. One of his tall ears twitches toward the stairs and Bertram turns to Seishin and smiles; Seishin loves the way he ties his hair back when he cooks, revealing more of his face under his shock of red.
The dining room table is of live edge wood that Seishin had chopped and planed and sanded himself. Again and again life replacing death replacing life by his hand. He gently places the vase of flowers on it and joins Bertram in the kitchen, coming up behind the Viera and wrapping his arms tightly around him. “Hot stove, hot stove!” Bertram exclaims anxiously. “Hold on a moment…” He puts the chopsticks to the side and with mitts moves the wok off the woodfire stove onto a trivet. He spins around in Seishin’s arms, planting one hand on the edge of the counter behind him and carding his flamescarred fingers through Seishin’s hair with the other. “Okay, there we go. Honestly, Seishin—” and he pulls him down into a kiss. When Seishin laughs and apologizes Bertram just leans further into his lips, not letting him go. They hold each other for a moment longer before Bertram leans back and looks into his eyes. “If you want to help so bad, you could at least take these bowls to the table.”
Styrnrael emerges from their room in a loose tunic and wraps Bertram in a kiss of her own. Seishin walks past them holding a trio of rice bowls and she briefly reaches with her tail and catches his, the friction of their scales holding them tight. They set the table together: three warriors, three gardeners, three homemakers. And as they sit around the table, filling their home with soft laughter into the night around beautiful blooms of blue and lily-orange, Seishin looks down at the scars on all their hands, these that have created and destroyed and created again, and marvels that three people who have been prized by the world only for their sharp edges can at last find some gentleness together.

It’s #InternationalRespectForChickensDay 🐓 so here some roosters from the The Walters Art Museum’s Arts Across Asia exhibition!
Namikawa Sosuke (1847-1910) Vase with Rooster, Hen, and Chicks among Banana Plants Japan (Tokyo), early 20th century copper, gold-copper alloy (shakudö), silver, gold, enamel Walters Art Museum
“Beginning in the 1880s, Japanese cloisonné artists developed wireless cloisonné (musen shippo), a technique for which Namikawa Sosuke was renowned. This vase shows no traces of the metal wires that initially outlined the animals and plants. The effect was achieved by taking off the metal wires before each of the three firings, resulting in a cloisonné design that the artist intended to look like a painting.”
Kutani Shozo (1816-1883) Kutani: Dish with Roosters Under Cherry Tree Japan, c. 1876 porcelain, overglaze enamel, gilding Walters Art Museum
“By the second half of the 19th century, Kutani ceramics, such as this dish, began to be exported. The Kutani style of this period is marked by a heavy reliance on red and the use of gold, an opulent effect that undoubtedly appealed to foreign tastes.”

I haven't done any embroidery for a while but I decided to do one this past week! Design is mine but inspired by a lot that I've seen online. The books and shelves and pots were pretty much all just satin-stitched, but I had a bit more fun varying stitches with the plants. And no, they aren't really any plants in particular, they're just There.
Image description: An embroidery hoop on which is embroidered a bookshelf containing several red, brown, blue, and black books with gold & silver accents, as well as two plant pots with plants on either side, and a blue vase upon a stack of books in the middle; there's another plant pot hanging underneath, with a cascading plant in it. end ID
Some plant close-ups!
Image ID: close-ups of the plant embroidery; #1 is a grassy plant in a terracotta pot; #2 shows a copper-and-gold bowl with a blooming cactus in it; and #3 is a close-up of the hanging plant, which has a copper bowl and some kind of plant made of french knots, and is "hanging" by blue cord from the bookshelf; #4 is a close-up of the blue vase in the middle of the bookshelf on top of some books, which has pink cluster flowers made of French knots. end id
Thanks for looking!

Referring to your recent post, would love to see some of the fun things you’ve bought! You have the best taste 😊
Aw thank you.
So the main categories of things have been home stuff and fashion stuff. I do have a tag (of course) but haven't posted everything so to summarize...
Home stuff
Living room: The swan table (an icon, a queen, the inspiration for the room), the insane green velvet chair (we love her, gotta keep it eclectic), snake rug (hiss hiss), a fundamentally impractical sofa (Ikea, concessions had to be made somewhere. I'm going to restuff to make it look more fluffy and expensive). I'm keeping my vintage curio cabinet, 1960's referencing 30's circular bar cart, black arched lamp, and big rubber plant. The inspiration is somewhere between this 1930's Thorne miniature room and hummusbird. I need some paintings, a little table for under the window to display a great vase (got this one in ivory, tbc if it's the right size), and some big new throw pillows (I'm thinking dusky pink). Oh also I'm getting a fish to go in the bookcase (I wanted a white Betta but my dad has said that's a bad idea and suggested a gold fish instead).
Kitchen: An oval marble topped cast iron bistro style table. Keeping my black bistro chairs (2x) and will also use 2 of my armless ghost chairs (like these). Likely to get a small floating island to get a little more counter space. Also bought an insane copper kettle ala my man Rajiv recently.
Main bedroom: I've got a new headboard for my bed (this one), I'm getting rid of the wardrobe in there (using the one in the 2nd bedroom) and will replace it with a vintage dressing table and mirror (I do like this one but would rather not spend that given... everything else) to display my great great grandmother's silver mirror, brush, etc. Need some big Euro shams and perpetually looking for a navy woven blanket that's big enough (I want it like, almost duvet sized).
2nd bedroom: Currently is an office / video game room, turning into a proper 2nd bed. I'll use my meh existing bed, need bedside tables, maybe a new desk chair.
Fashion stuff
It's been a lot of big skirts (my love the Prada one, a really full white canvas-y one, this crazy pink one, a beige cashmere Theory one), a set of heavy ribbed tops with high necks in black and browns (for autumn, this is one of them), a few cropped cardigans (can't find any specific ones that I've bought right now, but short enough to wear with the skirts), a totally sheer cream colored top (that is proving surprisingly versatile already), two cheap Zara wrap vests that I'm waiting to arrive (one in cream and one in black, we'll see the quality when they get here), a Victorian gold charm bracelet (+ a charm of a monkey holding a pearl), a pair of really gorgeous silver and mother pearl earrings from the 50s, some rag and bone soft leather mules, some baby blue Mary Janes, and a set of tiny kitten heels that I really like but am not sure I'm keeping (they're a little narrow but I think I could stretch them). I think there's more but if I think too much about it I'll be stressed (rip my budget). Pro tip: Laura Riley has an incredible fashion newsletter that rounds up what's new and what's on sale -- I've gotten almost everything I've bought on 50%+ off.
#the sofa is the gransel natural with no arms#yes you heard right#no arms#the gold fish is because i kill things#also bettas are apparently too high level for me#(my dad had a tropical fish breeding situation in his youth something i only found out last week)#so anyway RIP my budget#truly been a few weeks#gonna be a monk after this#batch cooking and sitting at home with my crocheting#and of course i will post photos once it's all in place#just waiting for the old things to be collected#I'm like... it's all making me feel more like myself and everyone says this is a period of change#ill find out more about myself#blah blah (I know they're right but like... i would rather have been happy and simply not known lol)#so i am trying to give myself a kittle ~grace~ with this#after all what is the point of money if not to spend it#oh also i need a grey big skirt for fall#then I'm basically done#maybe a black one too...#s shops#home stuff

Haven't I Given Enough?
Hermit! Tommy DSMP x Hermitcraft crossover fic
Chapter 7 | Feel the Pain When it Hits You
Summary: Amidst the ruins of the life he so carefully tried to rebuild, Grian wonders where it had all gone wrong
Words: 2904
Notes: Chapter title is from "Memories" by Thutmose for the Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse movie soundtrack
****************************************************************
Grian looked at Gem as they stood in front of Pearl’s door, his knuckles leaving a tiny dent in the soft, warped fungus wood.
It wasn’t often that Gem came to Grian when things got tough, relying on the other members of the soup group or the closest neighbors to the trio’s somewhat-connected bases. So when Gem dropped by his base, a worried look and an even worried explanation about Pearl, the two hightailed it to Pearl’s alien base. Gem told him that she saw Pearl with glowing lines on her body and that she refused to leave her base after; that was two days ago.
So there they were, patiently waiting for the moth-winged woman to open her door. Ten minutes had gone by and still no Pearl. Grian tried to peek into the first floor, the blackout curtains shielded the room from prying eyes and the light that tried to shine through. “Let me take a flyover real quick, maybe she’s in a different part of her base.”
“Okay, yeah,” Gem said. “I’ll stay here in case she opens the door.”
The wind blew Grian’s fringe out of his face as he shot upwards. Below him, he could see most of the base, all the bright blues of the mushrooms and purples of the plants that stood out against the bright green and orange of her terrain. The copper bridge connecting the two sides of the gorge glinted in the sun and nearly blinded him. He had to blink away the colorful spots it left behind in his vision. But as he glided through the man-made foliage, there was no sign of his sister/friend. There were no traces of a shulker monster (though Pearl was keen on being organized even while building) or the tale-tell signs that she’d been anywhere recently.
“Didn’t find her,” Grian landed, slightly out of breath.
“It’s fine, I’ve almost got the lock undone on her door,” Gem said. Hands poking and prodding at the keyhole to the door.
“Are-Are you trying to pick her door?”
“How else are we going to get in, hm?” Gem pressed her head against the blue fungus, listening for the faint click when the door unlocked. “Because I checked all her windows, they don’t open, and this is the only door to her mushroom tower. So it’s my way or no way. Aha!”
Inside was almost as devoid of life as the outside of Pearl’s base.
Everything was as it had always been, though that couldn’t be said for the vases of flowers that decorated the room. Pearl’s books were lined up neatly on the bookshelves, pillows fluffed up on the couch, a stack of clean dishes in the kitchen, and the lingering smell of an azure bullet candle in the air. Just how Pearl liked it.
“Is she not home?” Gem asked searching for her on the cozy first floor.
“No,” Grian stepped closer to the stairs, eyes straining to see the source of light on the second floor, though he already knows the answer. “She’s here.” With quiet steps, they hesitantly made their way to Pearl’s room, the white light growing more prominent as they got closer. Gem turned her head to follow the streaks of purple that glowed on the walls, they moved up and down, ever so slightly. Where had those come from?
Gem nearly screamed, hand over heart as she backed up into Grian, eyes locked on the eye on the wall. “Gri-Grian.”
He followed where she was looking. An eye had opened on the wall, white sclera glowing nearly as bright as the light atop the stairs and a bright glowing pupil with the symbol he desperately tried to forget. Grian’s heart quickened. He stood frozen, staring at the eye that seemed to only look at him, and felt helpless as Gem was the one to drag him away.
His feet felt heavy, they tripped on the stairs but he kept going. Now wasn’t about him, he can trauma dump on Mumbo or X later, most likely Mumbo, no one else knew of Grian’s history besides the mustached man and the girl he considered his sister.
Grian ran up the stairs, Gem worriedly following behind, hoping that Pearl was safe, hoping that she wasn’t in her watcher form. That was going to be a difficult topic to talk about because it seemed his fears had been true.
In the back of the room, Pearl sat, legs up to her chest and head in her arms, quiet sobs leaving her. The lines Gem had described were what the two were following. They lit up the room and cast dark, distorted shadows over the floor behind them. A golden halo loomed over Pearl’s head, sharp purple crystals floating around the ring and dancing as Pearl cried, catching the light every so often to create the streaks Gem saw in the stairway.
The oldest of the three stood frozen at the entryway, eyes glancing over the room and the eyes that sprouted to stare at them. Pearl’s wings were outstretched and dropped over the floor behind her, and Grian could barely see the pairs of eyes that had appeared there. He could see the black pupils move around as they tried to see something, anything.
“Pearl?” Gem had stepped closer to Pearl, arms tucked close to her chest. “What…What’s wrong? What happened?” She didn’t answer. She didn’t even move to acknowledge her two guests, Pearl’s head was still tucked into her arms, as if she was trying to block out sound.
Grian pushed Gem behind him, wary about how Pearl would react, “Mirina.”
Pearl stopped shaking. Her hands balled into fists above her head and Grian knew that caught her attention. “Don’t…Ever…” Pearl spoke, her voice raspy from crying, but she snapped her head up in anger. Her eyes had lost the soft blue irises and instead were glowing the same brilliant white that glowed along her limbs. “Never say that name!” The lines along her body glowed brighter as if power was coursing through her in the outburst. More eyes popped up along the ceiling and walls, each one staring through Gem and Grian with a glare of hatred only a watcher would have.
“Pearl, what’s wrong? Are you okay?” Gem asked. Eyebrows furrowed with worry as Pearl covered her ears again.
“I–I keep hearing them! I can hear them!” Pearl cried trying to push her hands harder against her ears. “I don’t want to hear them! Make it stop! Make it stop!” More eyes sprouted along the walls, each one focusing on the three of them.
“Grian? What’s happening?” Gem asked. “What’s wrong with Pearl? What’s up with the eyes?!”
“Grab her arms before she hurts herself!” Grian finally moved from his spot. One arm prying one of Pearl’s before she hurts herself, “Gem! Hurry!”
“No! NO!” Pearl screamed. “I don’t want to hear them! Make it stop!” Pearl strained against them, hands opening and closing as if she was trying to grasp onto a weapon that didn’t exist. “Xelqua! Stop it! I don’t want to hear them, please! Make it stop!”
Grian nearly faltered at the mention of his other name. It pulled at the eldritch being inside him, the one that began to act up when he saw the eye in the stairway, but he suppressed it further into the far reaches of his mind. He can talk to Mumbo about it later. Right now, Pearl was the main priority, he can deal with himself later. Grian struggled against Pearl’s arm, she was stronger in her watcher form, they all were, and he tried to keep her hand from closing. He didn’t want her to grab her weapon, then they’d all be in trouble. He looked around the room, maybe there was something they could use to knock her out. Yes, it was rude and a bad way to calm their friend down, but it was the only solution he had at the moment.
“Gem! Over there, the flower pot!” Grian yelled over Pearl’s agonized screams.
Gem took a quick look at what Grian was trying to show her. And there, a little bit further than an arm's reach away was a good-sized, heavy, flower pot. A bouquet of poppies drooped from the top but that was the least of her worries. “I–I can’t reach it!”
“I got Pearl! Let go and grab it!” Grian tugged hard on Pearl, dragging her closer to him and giving Gem a chance to grab the nearest ‘weapon.’
With a quick lunge, Gem took hold of the pot and swung it towards her friend. The now dead poppies splashed on the floor and the water soaked Pearl’s back when it made contact with the back of her head. Gem couldn’t see, but she could tell Pearl stopped screaming and she fell forwards. In an instant, the glowing lines had faded back into her skin, the eyes on the walls (and now ceiling and floor) blinked shut, retreating into the walls. The halo above her head faded back into non-existence, leaving the crystals to fall to the floor with a twinkling sound that echoed in the now-silent mushroom tower.
Pearl fell against the jungle wood with a thump. Her eyes closed and her mind unconscious as the two moved her to the bed nearby.
“Grian.” Gem tucked the blankets tighter against her friend before her hardened glare, though more worried than angry, meet Grian’s. “What the heck was that?! Why was Pearl all glowy? Why did she say ‘Xelqua’ or whatever?!” When the man in question tried to deter the conversation, Gem pressed her finger against his chest with a determination Grian couldn’t refute. “And you better answer because Pearl said she would and here we are! So start talking mister.”
Grian sighed, this was going to be a long story to tell.
–
It was late afternoon when Grian finished telling Gem, and Gem, she was so patient with him. She sat there and waited, comforted, and kept him on track as he retold his and Pearl’s story. Every time Grian had to pause, had to recollect himself, she didn’t push. Gem just sat there and rested her hand on Grian’s shoulder, letting him know someone was there and that he was safe. They didn’t even notice when Pearl woke up, only turning to her when she began her side, her time with Lady Irene, and the life she lived beneath the goddess.
He wasn’t prepared for a trauma dump that was for sure.
When he told Mumbo what happened to him, Grian had given himself a few days to collect his thoughts, to gather the bits and pieces of his past life he wanted to share. He didn’t want Mumbo to know the full story. Didn’t want to burden him with his past when Mumbo was just barely getting over his. It was nearly the same reason Grian didn’t tell Xisuma.
The Grian that Xisuma knew was a happy-go-lucky guy that loved to be a menace to the world, and whose pranks would bring smiles and laughter to the victims. That Grian was mischievous to release the pent-up magic that wanted a release, a way to satisfy that burning feeling that was left unattended. That Grian was charming and charismatic to those around him that people would naturally gravitate to him, and one of those people was the admin himself.
They were good friends, though that could be said with anyone on the server, everyone knew that they wanted to be more than friends. The end of season six had tension so thick, Grian could’ve cut it with his sword in hindsight, and it wasn’t until the turf war of season seven that they finally confessed their attraction to each other. And my was that a relief off of Grian’s shoulders.
No longer did he have to stare from afar. No longer did he have to rant to his friends about what the admin had done that day with him (and if you had asked Scar, Mumbo, or Iskall their opinions, they would’ve walked away.)
But as the days passed, as more happy moments passed between them, Grian couldn’t bring himself to tell Xisuma about his days as a watcher, about the server he was once admin of–about the lives he’s ended with his own hands.
Grian had built a wall so high that something catastrophic was the only thing able to bring it crashing down.
And there, sitting between the admin and one of his best friends, a head of curly golden hair Grian could recognize anywhere. “Tommy?”
At the sound of his name, the teen turned his head to Grian. Blue eyes met brown as the younger stood from his seat. He was just like Grian remembered, though the child now stood at least a head above him. With bright eyes and rosy cheeks, his mouth hung open in bewilderment as he stepped closer.
“Is that you?” Grian asked when he was just a few blocks away from him. He didn’t want to believe he was here, didn't want to let his head play tricks on his heart. Grian thought he was past hearing Tommy’s laugh, only for it to be his mind playing tricks on him. But when Tommy latched on to him–gangly arms he still has yet to control properly wrapped around his shoulders, head buried in Grian’s neck like he used to when he was a child–Grian knew this was real. His nephew, nearly son, was here. He wasn’t dreaming.
It pained Grian to pull away from the hug, but questions sprang in his head that pounded for answers. “Tommy, how are you here?”
“I’ve been here for almost three weeks,” Tommy said and turned back to the admin. “You didn’t tell anyone about me being here?”
“I wanted to make sure your connection to the server was stable and you weren’t a glitched player,” Xisuma answered. “I had only figured out magic was what let you into the server the other day, whose magic is still a big question left unanswered.”
“Wait–magic?” Grian said.
“X said it could be an admin’s magic,” Tommy stood to the side.
“It could yes,” X looked around. “But there’s a higher possibility that it was a deity of some sort or a watcher, they’re the only ones whose magic is strong enough to create portals like the one you came through.” Xisuma brought his hand up to his chin, “But that still doesn’t explain where the injuries you three sustained when Tommy first came here.”
Iskall looked at the statue at the back of the room that Grian didn’t notice when he first stepped in, but how could he not notice it? It was a pristine white and towered over the room and gave off Irene vibes that clashed with the magic Kristin gave him. The lime green-wearing man closed his eyes and rubbed his face, “Ugh, Xelqua help us all.”
“Indeed,” Xisuma pulled out his admin panel and typed furiously on a screen none of them could see.
Grian’s head snapped to his friend and then lover. Why had they said that? What did they know? Why did it put him on edge? “What?”
“Huh?” Iskall turned to Grian.
Stress turned in her seat, facing the avian that joined their group late. “Hold on–Grian? How do you know Tommy?”
The hermits looked at him, expectant of an answer. It was a good question, Grian had no doubts about that, which needed a good answer, one that would involve revealing his watcher origin story. And he did not want to talk about that, at least not right now. He saw the way they were looking at him, their eyes boring holes in him as he looked for a good enough excuse. But he knows that if he makes up a false story Tommy would call him out. “I–uh, uhm,” Grian stammered.
“He’s my uncle,” Tommy answered.
“Like the one in your story?” Xisuma asked, the admin panel forgotten as it flickered back into nothingness. Grian could tell he was connecting the dots, Doc too, the two of them were too smart for their own good. “The one that got taken by the watcher?” The admin looked between the two red-clad blondes. “The admin, your uncle that was magicked away by the watchers was Grian?”
“Grian, are you a watcher?” Doc finally spoke, the question no one dared to ask but wanted the answer to desperately. Grian couldn’t answer. He had already told one person today and that was enough, but here he stood the attention on him, five pairs of eyes waiting for him to speak. “You are, aren’t you?”
Their expectant gazes were too much for him. Each one leaned forward as if Grian was about to spew the answer faster, but it didn’t. If anything it pressured him even more to flee, which was a good-looking option at the moment. “I-I…Uhm.” Maybe one-day Grian would tell the hermits, let them know about all the trauma that the watchers placed upon Pearl and Grian. Tell them how many players and gods were slain by his hands because of ‘fate’ and ‘the natural order for his goddess. But today was not that day.
Grian took a step back and fired a rocket, leaving the small group behind, leaving his nephew behind.

Aluminum Sulfate and Copper Sulfate Impact on Rosa hybrida
Abstract
Flowers play a vital role in angiosperm reproduction; they are often pigmented and or perfumed to attract pollinators. However, despite its irreplaceable ecological role, the flowers are energetically expensive to maintain beyond their useful life, and therefore have a limited life-span that is usually taken away after pollination; causing senescence syndrome. Aluminum sulfate can decrease cut rose petal acidity and cause fixation of anthocyanin pigments and increase cut rose flowers vase. The role of aluminum sulfate to increase the vase life of cut flowers is not limited to lowering the pH of vase solution. The experiment was conducted at the research laboratory of education complex of zahedan (in iran). Laboratory lighting was provided by fluorescent lamps. The field experiment was laid out in randomized complete block design with factorial design with four replications. Analysis of variance showed that the effect of aluminium sulfate and copper sulfate on all characteristic was significant.
Introduction
Flowers play a vital role in angiosperm reproduction; they are often pigmented and or perfumed to attract pollinators. However, despite its irreplaceable ecological role, the flowers are energetically expensive to maintain beyond their useful life, and therefore have a limited life-span that is usually taken away after pollination; causing senescence syndrome. Senescence of flower is a complex process, so often researchers mainly concentrate on changes occurring during petal senescence. Petals provide an excellent model system for the study of fundamental aspects of senescence (Rogers, 2006; Desai et al., 2012).
Senescence is a highly regulated final event of flower development that bears hallmarks of programmed cell death (PCD), resulting in colour changes, petal wilting, abscission of whole flower and flower parts with various physiological, biochemical and ultrastructural changes (Voleti et al., 2000; Wagstaff et al., 2003; Jones et al., 2005; Tripathi & Tuteja, 2007; Seo et al., 2009; Ichimura, 2010; Shahri, 2011). Roses are one of the most important cut flowers in the world (Şirin, 2011) and extremely perishable (Figueroa et al., 2005) as well as other cut flowers such as Eustoma grandiflorum (Hojjati et al., 2007; Farokhzad et al., 2005), Gerbera jamesonii (Nair et al., 2003). Short postharvest vase life is one of the most important problems in cut flowers (Zamani et al., 2011).
So consider to maintaining postharvest quality of cut flowers is critical for preventing offlower post harvest losses. Senescence which is the main factor affecting on flower quality can be induced by several per and post- harvest factors e.g., water stress (Sankat and Mujaffar, 1994), amount of carbohydrates (Coorts, 1973; Ketsa, 1989), microorganisms (Van Doorn and Witte, 1991), ethylene effects (Wan & Miller, 2003) as documented in carnation and roses (Mayak and Halevy, 1980; Halevy and Mayak, 1981; Quesada and Valpuesta, 2000) and Lisianthus (Farokhzad et al., 2005; Hojjat et al., 2007) and cultivar differences, season, development stage at harvest and cultivated conditions (Doel and Wilkins, 1999). Application of some germicides has been suggested to prevent rapid proliferation of microorganisms and to decrease the longevity of cut flowers. Cut flower species respond to germicides variously.
Al2(SO4)3 has been recommended for maintaining the vase life of several cut flowers (Liao et al., 2001) and is used as an antimicrobial compound in commercial preservative solutions (Ichimura et al., 2006). Aluminum sulfate acidifies vase solution, diminishes bacterial proliferation and enhances water uptake (Tjeerd and Jaap, 2003; Hassanpour Asil et al., 2004). Roses and can be caused by physiological occlusion due to plant itself, microorganisms or air embolism (Van Doorn et al., 1989).
Also aluminum sulfate can decrease cut rose petal acidity and cause fixation of anthocyanin pigments and increase cut rose flower‟s vase life (Put Henriette et al., 1992; Tjeerd and Jaap, 2003; Hassanpour Asil et al., 2004). The role of aluminum sulfate to increase the vase life of cut flowers is not limited to lowering the pH of vase solution. Its effect is based at least in part, on its action as an antimicrobial agent in the solution (Liao et al., 2001).
More study is necessary to determine the effect of aluminum sulfate on vase life of cut flowers, specially cut roses as one of the most important cut flowers in the world. Van Meetereu et al. (2001) suggested that it must be used a combination of calcium chloride, sodium carbonate and copper sulfate solution as a basic standard for the preservative solution. Motivation and aims of the study are Influence of aluminium sulfate and copper sulfate on some characteristic in rosa hybrid.
