Winter Series: Day 3 - 2D vs 3D
Summary: He finds out you have a list of 2D characters you love and would stay committed for life
Dick: has an issue with it
Has the famous Dick Grayson’s frown on his face when he finds it
Doesn’t appreciate it and despite trying to pretend it doesn’t affect him, he throws a fuss going how they’re not even real
Went to the point of his voice cracking and high pitched when he got to the part about their shippings with yourself and to other characters you also are in love with
Grumbles when he watches and reads the series your favorites are from with you and on his own, constantly going “I can do better than them”
If you ever were to jab him by asking if he can do something only they can do and he obviously can’t, that will genuinely tip him off and get extremely sulky where he’ll be venting to everyone both in the chatroom, joint missions, etc., while to you he pulls the pettiest of all pettiness he’s ever done
Eventually let’s up when you confront and tell him that he was obviously the only one you love and ever be with along you choosing him over any 2D character as you couldn’t imagine life without him
Also gives in and starts adding notes of his own on to your list because he does admit some of them are cool
Tim: isn’t bothered and actually cool with it
Does any eyebrow raise when he finds it
Sort of figured it was those character pairing lists but with how thorough your notes are, also entertained the thought that it was a hit list
More open minded and tries to understand why you were to enamored by un-real, fictional characters
Ends up joining you in adding notes to your list as he also gets into the same characters you like, especially seeing why with context
Literally, he’s going through the whole character-analysis meme where he discusses socioeconomic factors and symbolism to psychological influence of the character’s past during his talk with you, which is a sign that he is fangirling just as much in his own way
He’s so engrossed he does the forbidden and starts reading/watching ahead of you for more scenes of the characters
When asked by the others about it, he’s the one getting defensive as if the list was originally his and he liked them before you
Jason: has his own list
bold of you to assume that you were the only one to have a list
Right on spot critics how you have your lists organized and your ranking of characters
Gives you 10 points for color coordination but what were those notes in graphite? Excuse you but you are not a true stan if you write in pencil. If anything you are a coward
Doesn’t get why you’re surprised that he has his own list considering he’s into literature so of course he’d know more and up-to-date for any series that were adaptations having read the original source first
Causes an argument to break out over him gloating he’s the OG fan since day 1 to who you have ranked higher, lower, or not on your list
First off, you’re wrong. Ichigo should’ve been with Rukia and Toji is more badass than Gojo. He does agrees Drarry had potential and Stoik is a badass viking
The two of you end up staying up all night trying to prove each other who’s right and logical regarding each other’s lists and end at 5:00 AM with deciding to treat other's list with "respect"
Duke: doesn’t get it
Can’t wrap his mind around you simping over a character, in general
There’s genuinely no jealousy, he just feels confuse how you could this passionate with people who aren’t even real
He gets it if your characters were just your favorite, he can get that. He has favorite characters from the shows he watches too but to your extent?
Passes the list off with the awkward “sure” and nod of head when you get passionate and pull up your slide shows as to why he should also stan and simp over them with you
Reminds you that the characters you’re head-over-heels for are fictional, not people in real-life
Starts to understand why you like the characters you like so much when he joins in watching/reading whatever series you were into currently
He does end up creating a “just-like” character list where he writes the characters’ name and from what series. No notes like you though, he still stays realistic
Damian: obliterates it on spot
Your list is gone the second he finds it. Ripped. Crumpled. Burned. Gone
Will not acknowledge that he was in the wrong seeing how you weren’t as excited with him as you are with those fake people that exists only in books and TV shows
Makes excuses how teens shouldn’t be that invested in things kids like and doesn’t seem like a mature hobby at all when he’s burning with jealousy
Pettily wages a silent war against you when you give him the silent treatment until a week passes, making him realize he probably crossed the line
During the time he figures out a way to get in your good grace again, he does try watching and reading whatever was on the list
He hasn’t and will never tell you this but you do have good taste. Just that your favorite characters shouldn’t be your favorite when one, he’s better than them and two, there were far more superior characters
Gets you to forgive him when he hands you your list he re-wrote and tolerates you having one. He still sneers at the characters on it and argues how the ones he likes are better than them
Just make sure to hide your shrine, `cause those are going to be permanently removed and never restored

Lately, I’ve been thinking about Leon, Ada, and Claire. Especially on their relationships because I think they’re pretty interrelating so here’s another analysis made by yours truly <3
TW: mentions of mental illnesses, MY OPINION! + observations. This is strictly based on my knowledge. I’m majoring in English- doesn’t mean I’m 100% correct, it just means I’m pointing out some things that I thought were pretty cool. Take this with a grain of salt.
So I actually propose that we bring the color theory into play, mainly between Leon, Claire, and Ada.
In RE2R and in Infinite Darkness (death island too but I’ve yet to watch it), Leon is portrayed as blue. (His RPD uniform and his suit/jacket) back in my English class (film vs book) we talked about the different types of people and how the author/creator purposefully assigns a character a specific color.
By majority belief, the color blue represents sadness and often times calmness as well. However, I have a different view on why CAPCOM seems to love Leon in winter colors (blue/green/purple)
Leon is the definition of the Blue Character Theory- these types of characters are compassionate, loyal, confident, and can manage their emotions (keep it cool in other words) but sometimes these characters are prone to become over emotional (depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, etc.) and I actually wrote a small paragraph on Leon in infinite darkness about this because I found it so interesting that Leon- a cool and reserved guy, has these complicated emotions welled up inside him and one of the only ways we can tell is by the color of his representation. (Think of Euphoria and how colors really affected the way the characters act, especially Maddy and Cassie and how different they are.)
I’m also going to be hella bold and say that his eyes are a CLEAR representation on his character by color analysis. His eyes are blue, not only because he’s a white man- but because the “eyes are the windows to the soul” thing really does help us understand him better. They clearly did this on purpose to let the viewer catch a glimpse at Leon’s raw personality. His eyes are very expressive if you really REALLY analyze them.
And when you bring someone who is represented by the color red (Claire and Ada) there’s already an established connection between the two. Although Claire and Ada are way too different in personalities, I like to believe that they both have at least the same level of ambition, stubbornness and leadership. Red characters are known to lead or take matters into their own hands when the world is against them. If no one is going to help them then they’ll do it themselves.
In ID, Claire did her own investigation. She took charge and decided to that if no one would help her, including Leon, then she’ll just do whatever she can with the power she has. Ada is similar in that aspect. Ada has a way of getting things done her way, just like Claire. She uses the art of manipulation to make sure her plans are fulfilled, even if it means at the cost of others. She’s ambitious and goal-driven, much like Claire.
CAPCOM represents the two women in explicitly red or at least with red items (hair, dress, shoes, etc.) it makes me believe that they know what they’re doing when it comes to giving characters their own individuality.
Now, we know that blue and red are complementary colors based on the color wheel.
But we also know that Leon and Ada don’t really have a healthy relationship (I’ll get to this in another post near the future once I’ve got evidence) which is contrasting to Leon and Claire’s relationship. Which prompted the question: Why?
I mean, yeah Claire is Chris’s sister and by affiliation Leon enjoys her company. But it is also clear that the two of them worked very well back in RE2R (the fence scene) their chemistry and tension was high but when he’s with Ada, it seems different.
It is no doubt that Leon had/has (? I’m just as confused as bro tbh) a crush on Ada. I read somewhere from the notes on Leon that he was actually glad to have seen Ada in RE4R (not too sure for RE4OG since almost everything is about the remake)
CAPCOM purposefully follows the Red Oni/Blue Oni trope (a Japanese folk tale, shout-out to my professor for putting me on that) but what why are there two red ones and one blue one? Is CAPCOM keeping their choices open for Leon’s potential love life? I can’t say for sure what’ll happen or what everything means because this is something I over analyzed.
Remember, I’m only an English major student, I still believe my observations are pretty vague or at least a little bit underdeveloped. Hopefully sometime near the future I can make better analysis 🙏🏼
Also, tysm for all the amazing comments and reblogs 🥹🙏🏼 idk how to reply to reblogs but I really do appreciate the fact that you guys like my fics. I promise I have more to write (I have a list in my notes app lmao)

Seasonal Color Analysis: Gillian Anderson (UPDATE)
My first analysis of Gillian was close, but flawed.
I mistook her Medium Chroma for High Chroma, which shifted her results (wrongly) from Light Summer to Bright Winter. Both seasons share a Cool Hue; however, Bright Winter’s luminosity is derived from its primary High Chroma, while Light Summer’s is pinched from its High/Light Value.
I have ELLA RAY STYLE's and Christine Scaman's YouTube videos to thank for eloquently explaining the differences. Highly recommend their channels: Ella breaks down color analysis based on the science of color, and Christine analyzes hair color and skin tone based on her expertise (and has a video on Gillian, as a matter of fact.) Ella is more updated than Christine, in my opinion; but I’m listing both, just the same~.
THE DIFFERENCES
I’ve already discussed the difference between Chroma and Value (and Hue) here; but I’ll include a quick summary for this dissection’s sake.
Hue is the color of one’s skin tone: is it primarily warm or cool-- yellow or blue in undertone? Or neutral; and what kind?
Value is the lightness or darkness of one’s Hue. (Any skin color can have a light or dark value to it, post here.) Higher Values usually have lighter or more "translucent" hair, allowing light to pass through it, as well as finer or sparser brows. (High Value tones look great in lighter colors such as cool pure white, warm ivory white, and other lighter colors. Deep colors near the face tend to drag down and dominant the "presence" of the outfit, making it appear as if the clothes were wearing the person rather than the other way around.) Lower Values usually have darker or more "opaque" hair when in direct lighting, as well as darker or bushier brows. (Low Value tones look great in darker colors such as navy blue, pure black and deep brown. Light colors near the face give them an exaggerated pale, tired appearance.) Medium Values are underserved in both very High Value (light) and very Low Value (dark) outfits; and look best in "medium" colors such as grays, lighter browns, and camel colors.
Since Medium Value is neither strongly High nor strongly Low Value, it will naturally place itself in third position in the primary/secondary hierarchy that determines one’s Seasonal Color Analysis (no matter what the Hue or Chroma ratios are.)
Chroma is the measure of how bright and clear or muted and soft a color is. High Chromas have a brighter, clearer appearance-- with very little brown or gray pigmentation in their skin tone-- and a "dewy" or bright skin texture. Their darker brows usually have a deeper coloration; and their irises are usually "richer" and clearer with defined "edges" next to the whites of the eyes. (Supposedly, this gives Higher Chromas an "alert and eye-catching expression.”) Low Chromas have a desaturated or muted appearance-- with a prominent gray or "ashy" pigmentation-- and a "matte" or softer skin texture. Their finer brows usually have a "sparser" appearance; and their irises have a softer, blurred "edge" next to the whites of the eyes. (Supposedly, this gives Lower Chromas a "softer gaze" and more "delicate charm.") Medium Chroma is midway between the two: not too “rich” or striking, but not too blurred or softened.
Since Medium Chroma is neither strongly High nor strongly Low Chroma, it will naturally place itself in third position in the primary/secondary hierarchy that determines one’s Seasonal Color Analysis (no matter what the Hue or Value ratios are.)
Now, what does this have to do with one Gillian Anderson?
MY MISTAKE
I mistook Gillian’s High Value for High Chroma.
In my original post, I covered that Gillian had a High Value and Cool Hue-- meaning, she does best with lighter, less dark cool tones. But I mistakenly bled her High Value (the “light” quality of her skin) with that of High Chroma (the bright or “clear” quality of her skin), skewing her results in the Winter, not Summer, direction. To be fair to myself, I was unaware that Medium Chroma existed; but, now that I do, here we are.
Black and white photos are an incredible hack for testing the skin's Values. Photos that have sharply defined contrasts between the white and black spaces are more likely to be Low Value; photos with very little differentiation between the different shades are more likely to be High Value; and photos with some black, some gray, some white spaces are more likely to be Medium Value. In the example above, GA's eyebrows aren't washed out, her iris aren't popping out in extremis compared to the whites of her eyes, her hair isn't too light or starkly black compared to her skin, and her skin isn't stark compared to the shadows surrounding it. Hence, she's Medium Value (just like David Duchovny.)
TESTING AGAINST MY ORIGINAL HYPOTHESIS
Bright/Clear Winter has primarily High Chroma, secondarily Cool Hue; while Light Summer has primarily Light/High Value, secondarily Cool Hue-- meaning, I faultily assumed the “lightness” in Gillian’s skin was due to a very clear, very bright chroma rather than a lack of darkened mixture in Value.
How do we test the difference?
Broadly, Summer and Winter are Cool seasons differentiated by their saturation: Summer takes Winter's palettes and mixes it with gray, appearing more muted or "desaturated" compared to its twin.
So: does a "grayed down" palette suit Gillian?
To illustrate, I edited a photo of her (in as close to natural lighting as possible) with her skin tone hues swatched next to her left.
As you can see, there is a lightness and coolness to each hue; but they lack a sharpness and a dynamic punch. In effect, they've been muted. Softened. "Grayed" from an original, "pure" intensity.
(The above photo, by the way, is also a perfect example of a Light Value outfit: harmonious in light tones-- nothing darker or brighter or lighter or differently accented than any another element.)
When overlaying this same photo with Bright Winter swatches (left), it’s easy to see how overpowering that Season’s brightness and clarity is-- especially in comparison to Light Summer’s swatches (right.)
And, again:
Gillian is overpowered by Bright Winter. While its strong, sharp clarity gives this palette the ability to play around with darkness-- allowing Bright Winter the leeway to be able to pull off deep, cool black and navy-- its depth is too deep for GA to follow without “shadowing” her undereyes and prominent facial features.
Light Summer, by contrast, perfectly complements the lightness (and lack of depth) in GA’s skin tone, removing the dark shadows under her eyes and giving her cheeks a luminous flush.
CONCLUSION
I’m going to go back to all the old fashion posts and update the information there (with pictures); so, expect the timeline to be flooded with reposts as I announce the edited versions.
Thanks for reading~
Enjoy!

COLOR ANALYSIS OF NCT MEMBERS
I am going to preface this by saying that I am not a professional color analyst, but I have been learning quite a bit about how to look for a color that looks the best. This is all for entertainment, but if you disagree, I will literally cry.
- I use the 12-Season system, but I do wish I can use the 16 seasons. I just don't have any resources on them. How I choose a season is pretty similar with Carol Brailey on Tiktok/Youtube, and as such, no NCT member is a light season. Shockingly, there are no soft seasons here as well.
There are certain members (Ten, Yangyang, Jisung, and Chenle who have undergone color analysis themselves, and I will write if I agree or disagree.)
I haven't done NCT Wish yet as I am not familiar with them. In time, I might, but they are quite young and I am not comfortable getting to know them yet.
Let's start with NCT 127:
Suh Johnny: True Summer
(You see, this is what I like about Johnny; he knows the colors he looks good in. Aside from the occasional black and white, it's all summer colors)
- Johnny, despite having tanned skin, is fully cool-toned. His best colors are the pinks and the greens. He doesn't suit Light Summer, but he can borrow the more saturated colors of Soft Summer. True Winter colors are overwhelming. Since he's cool-toned, warm colors do not suit him well.
Lee Taeyong: Deep Winter
(You would think I would have loads of pictures of Taeyong in Deep Winter clothing but no. He's always wearing Bright Winter clothing. I had to edit the first two💀)
- I have seen him get categorized as a Soft Autumn, and have seen him push his brand in Bright Winter, but ultimately, he looks the best in the dark colors of the Deep Winter palette. His best colors are the greens and the violets. He can borrow from the True Winter palette, but he will not look good with borrowing Deep Autumn colors.
Nakamoto Yuta: Bright Winter
(Yuta totally knows that he looks best with bright colors. I literally just have to scroll down his Instagram feed for this.)
- NCT is mostly cool-toned. The NCT brand itself is a cool-toned based brand made from bright reds and neon greens. Yuta is one of two Bright Winters in NCT. He looks best with the reds and cyans. He can pull of many True Winter colors, but he ultimately looks best with the brightness of Bright Winter.
Kim Doyoung: True Winter
(Doyoung has truly mastered the art of "I look good in black, so I wear only black" which I love because he does look good in black.)
- The only True Winter in 127. Doyoung looks best in the blues and greens of the palette. He can successfully pull off Bright Winter colors as well, but he blends best with the less saturated colors of True Winter.
Jung Jaehyun: True Autumn
(Jaehyun wears a lot of muted browns—many of which are quite warm in their undertone. I think Jaehyun knows he looks good in brown. Also, perfume is the only stage where he truly shines in his stage outfits lmao.)
- Controversially, he is a warm-toned man forced to wear True Winter clothes. He looks best with the browns and greens. He does not look good with any other subseason of autumn but he is able to pull of multiple colors of True Spring.
Kim Jungwoo: True Spring
(The only time Jungwoo wears his flattering colors is during photoshoots istg. His Instagram feed is monochromatic af😭)
- A fitting palette for an entertaining man, Jungwoo looks best in the oranges and greens. He is not able to pull off any subseason of spring eloquently, nor is he able to wear any autumn colors with great luck.
Lee Mark: True Summer
(This man loves navy blue which is good for him because he looks good in it.)
- This man often wears True/Bright Winter blues which is not totally off. He is truly cool-toned. He looks best with the blues and greens of the summer palette though. Due to his high contrast features, he is able to pull off a few of the True Winter colors, but not black. He does not look good with any of the other subseasons of summer.
Lee Donghyuck: Deep Autumn
(He needs to stop with the black clothes. Haechan please invest in some good quality camo green I am BEGGING😭🙏)
- A Deep Autumn that can pull of Deep Winter colors better than True Autumn colors, Haechan is a warm-toned man that looks best with the purples and greens of the palette. Thankfully, he sports many muted browns in his wardrobe, all of which, suit him quite well. He does not look his best with black, but it's not truly off.

hey friends did you know that each silver spoon opening and ending represents one of the four seasons? as well as hachiken's character arc as time goes on?
kiss you (op1) represents represents summer. like it's straight up a summer love song, mentioning going to the beach and whatnot. the sunlight is emphasized in the visuals too. hachiken is shown building some confidence but making mistakes from not being used to his environment (stepping into poop, walking into electric fence, etc.).
hello especially (ed1), then, represents spring, the first half of season 1. it shows hachiken literally Warming up alongside the weather, starting off in the cold morning hour and progressing through the day and the season (as seen by the wheat growing and maturing)
life (op2) is pretty obviously fall. the leaves are turning red, hachiken has a more confident demeanor, he's accustomed himself to this new life, but colder days are coming.
oto no naru hou e (ed2) represents winter! (sad that the rest of the Tales of winter saga won't be adapted..) lots of cold pastel colors, and a few shots depicting characters warming up and/or in winter clothing. you see their cold breath as well.
the song itself is about supporting a friend, extending "warmth" to them as it were, which is what hachiken does for mikage and komaba during season 2.
and that's all! this is a crosspost of a thread ive already made on twitter and bluesky. i don't like using tumblr very much but it is the best place to post art and character analysis without getting swallowed by the 'algorithm' within a few hours. i may post in depth analysis of each opening and ending on their own eventually, but i'm hesitating because of how inconvenient it is to analyse movement in text form. lots of gifs to be made, probably.
stay cool, and read silver spoon :)

i went to get a color analysis done by the R Dresser team while I was in Tokyo and i was so surprised to have my consultant declare that i'm a Deep Autumn type???
but she did go on to say that my coloring is actually very neutral so i can do cool and warm colors pretty well so i have lots of options! she just went for Deep Autumn as my primary type as my natural hair and eye color lean a bit warmer than they are cooler. my second best color type would be Deep Winter (which means i can wear black and white!!) which ig makes my main consideration when it comes to picking colors would be the depth, and the warmth/coolness would be secondary
#i'm still trying to wrap my head around being typed as an autumn but ig it makes sense that i'm neutral but lean just the slightest bit warm#i rly thought i was a winter type hahaha but i'm not completely off the mark there??#also learned about tonal analysis and i think for someone who's primary color characteristic is DEPTH it seems v useful!!#also learned to do my makeup a bit and it rly changed up my look!#she told me cool colors look v good on me too but makes me look colder and 'like Maleficent' 😂#i think i might go for an autumn palette for daily or when i need to look more approachable#then i'll use a winter palette when i want to be more glam and/or for evenings!#the session was kinda info overload though hahah but v helpful!#rambles#fashion thoughts#seasonal color analysis#deep autumn#deep winter

Color Analysis
Color Seasons Analysis is sort of like Kibbe, but for colors in the clothes/makeup/etc you wear as opposed to body geometry typing. There are different systems suited to the appearances of people in different countries.
There is a misconception that your hair and eye coloring, and your skin tone, decides your season. This is not true. Not all black-haired people will be autumns or winters (more on that). It's important to know that your natural hair color may not be the ideal hair color for you to have within this system. That is, someone with ashy brown hair may look better with bright black hair or light blonde in considering their ideal color season, etc. So hair is basically like makeup, it can be changed to suit your colors. Eye color is a little less important because A) your irises are small overall. and B) the most common eye colors will work with almost any type, so it's not worth looking at as much.
In the most used Korean system, you begin with a series of color palettes and the attendant will drape colors over your body to rule out different palettes and see which looks best with your skin/eyes/hair/lips/and such. Obviously we can't do that but we can look at different colors and see how they can be complementary or look off.
In color typing there are four seasons. I'll be looking at the Eastern way of typing (Japanese & Korean) because it's tailored to East Asian people and in my opinion, makes a lot more sense than the more restrictive Western systems. The most important elements are: cool vs warm; brightness vs dullness; and light vs dark.
Cool vs warm: pretty self-explanatory. Does your body project a warm (gold/olive/yellowy/bronze) undertone, or a cool (pink/blue/purple) undertone?
Bright vs muted: Also known as heavy contrast vs light contrast. Do your features benefit from strong contrast? A good benchmark is to compare hair colors: a hair color that's close to your skin tone vs one that's very different. If the different color looks better or adds a pop, you do better with brightness. These people tend to have strong, bright, reflective skin. Obviously brights do better with pops of color while muted people do better with low contrast.
Light vs dark: this one can be hard to gage. Some people just look lifted with light colors while others require deeper, darker tones.
///
In essence, the spring family is 'light and warm', the summer family is 'light and cool' the autumn family is 'dark and warm' and the winter family is 'dark and cool'.
It's important that in this system, palettes are not very strict. Different types can borrow neighbouring palettes. It's more about seeing the colors that obviously don't look good, i.e. the opposite of what you should wear.
Spring light, Summer light: These types have the same palettes. Both require light colors first and foremost. They are overwhelmed by heavy tones. The only difference is that light spring does better with warm tones (pink, red, orange) while light summer prefers cool tones (green, blue, purple)
Summer bright: Needs light and bright colors.
Spring bright: Along with winter bright, these are the punchiest colors. They carry loud color well, including bright lipsticks or eyeshadows.
Summer muted, Autumn muted: These types share the same palette of muted, calm colors. Brightness overwhelms them easily. They benefit from low contrast. Summer muted does better with cool colors while Autumn muted requires warm colors.
Autumn bright: This type foremost has a sense of warmth and depth. They do well with rich tones, such as jewel tones or fall palettes.
Winter bright: Similar to Autumn bright, but they do well with slightly brighter (still rich and deep) colors.
Autumn dark, Winter dark: These types do the best with dark, heavy colors. They share the same palettes, but warm tones are better for Autumn dark while cool ones are better for Winter dark.
As I said, these types can overlap slightly. I've seen the Korean system where you will have a dominant type (i.e. Autumn bright) and a secondary type that is close and you can take colors from (maybe Autumn dark)
If this feels subjective, it is to a degree. You should be able to compare wildly different palettes on a person and see that one works a lot better than another. Like kibbe typing, it can be hard. That's why I only have a few examples to demonstrate how this system would work.
Examples (good vs better)
Tzuyu is a muted autumn. So she benefits from low contrast, warmth and some deeper tones. The outfit on the left is what she wore on the red carpet. It's good, but doesn't emphasize the richness of her coloring compared to my edit, which changes her lipstick and dress to something that is better for autumn muted and autumn dark (again, borrowing similar palettes). I think everyone can see the difference here.
Wendy is a spring bright. She looks great with light brown or blonde hair and soft pink lipstick. The left outfit, which is black/navy, looks good, but the right one (ignore the terrible edit haha!) gives more of a 'wow'. You stop and look at it.
Yujin is an example of a vivid winter. She has a warmer tone, but she looks more herself in rich, bright, cool tones. The left shows her dress edited to be duller and a lighter green; she seems to recede, while in the dress she wore on the right (and with edits to make her lipstick brighter and her jewelry cool-toned) she stands out a lot more. Contrast and depth. The left ensemble might look ideal on a vivid summer.
Hair is also relevant for typing. Haerin is a dark winter. The colors of her outfit are great for her type, but her hair in the left picture is too bright and warm-toned, so it clashes with her outfit and coloring. Vs, on the right, darker, deeper brown hair puts everything into place. Cute on the left, vs snowy princess on the right.
Note that unlike kibbe, color typing applies equally to men and women... while kibbe is tailored to body shapes in female people, everyone has skin, male and female typical outfits have all kinds of colors too.
This is by no means a perfect description but it's meant to show the overall theme of things that really work vs things that look a bit off. I may continue this with a more in depth look at the system.

status -> closed for @hairpintvrns (terry) location -> terry's residence
Theodora has to do a quick, impromptu color analysis on Terry — it’s not something she’s had to think about before, so she spends some time at the makeup store, frowning down at pictures of her friend, trying to decide their season. At first glance, Theo wants to say they’re a cool winter, though perhaps she’s being a little bit hasty. She thinks maybe a bright winter color palette might suit her best, in the end, and picks out some nail polishes in shades of silver, mint, and navy. She’ll have to decide when she’s over which one might look best.
Forest Lake is a charming neighborhood — very spacious, she thinks, which makes it a little obvious to Theo why Terry may have chosen this place to settle down. Well, that, and she’s sure Terry has had some fabulous luck with their birds out here. Theo’s never understood the appeal of birds the same way Terry has, but then again, not very many people tend to understand her relationship with horses — at least, not in a friendly manner — so she’s happy to support Terry with their hobby, even if she doesn’t quite understand it.
She reaches the cabin with the red door eventually, and knocks delicately against the wood three times. The paper bag in her other hand houses the nail polishes she definitely overdid, but it’s rare Terry ever indulges Theo in these things. Though she did have to give up the subject of Cassie, which — thinking about it now, she’s not sure is such a fair exchange, but she was being truthful when she told Terry she’s trying to meddle less in people’s lives. She just gets so caught up in trying to fix everything for everyone, she forgets that sometimes it’s not her place to do so. Another symptom, she’s recently discovered, of being raised by a narcissistic mother.
She knocks three times again, wondering if Terry had heard her the first time. Maybe they’re asleep? Theo debates phoning her, but doesn’t have a chance to make a decision before the door is opening. Terry smiles widely at the sight of her old friend — someone she loves and holds near and dear to her heart, after having been a motherly figure in a childhood that lacked her own. “Hi!” she greets happily. She doesn’t want to give Terry a hug without them asking first, so she keeps her distance. “Did I get taller, or did you get shorter?” she teases instead.

Favorite Holiday: none of the above its the trips and getaways u make for yourself. all my beloved memories are always mostly from when our family makes a trip to someplace my mom insists or there's a non-worrying emergency to go somewhere. just family getting together under some pretense, even tho it is stressful as fuck.

I loved your analysis of your OC's! One of my favorite things to see is how much love and care people give to creating their characters' backstories. It's so cool to see all of the amazing things people make!
I also loved reading about your OC's favorite colors. My OC loves the color yellow too like Annie for a similar reason - since the first blooms after the winter are yellow and they remind my OC of rebirth, hope, and a new start. Last question before the holidays! Do your characters have any nervous habits, fidgets, or tells? Any way someone can see that they're lying or uncomfortable, or just something that they do when they're focused/anxious/etc.? I hope you have a wonderful holiday, however you spend it, I hope it's restful and filled with joy!
-🎅
Thank you so much for your messages, dear Secret Santa, they truly made me happy!
It’s so gratifying to see that someone is interested in my OCs. I also love discovering the backstories of characters created by others. You can often feel all the love and care that goes into them.
It’s so adorable that your OC also loves yellow for a reason similar to Annie! I absolutely love the idea of associating it with renewal and hope, especially after winter. It adds so much depth and meaning to their preferences.
To answer your question: yes, my characters have nervous habits or revealing gestures! Evelyne, for instance, is not very comfortable with direct lying; she’ll always choose to lie by omission. When she’s stressed or uneasy, she tends to look at the tips of her shoes or touch the bandage hiding the branding mark on her neck. If she’s forced to speak, her speech rate accelerates, and she blushes a lot. When she’s deep in thought, she freezes, resting her chin on her crossed fingers as she visualizes the problem.
Annie tends to bite the inside of her cheek when she’s nervous. She can lie without batting an eye, but she feels guilty when lying to her loved ones. If they get suspicious, she becomes defensive, which only confirms that something’s amiss. She’s a very emotionally driven person, and when she struggles to manage her feelings—like during stressful periods—she becomes somewhat snappy, lashing out at anything in her path. When she’s focused, she has a habit of playing with her wand or whatever she’s holding.
Thank you again! I wish you a very happy holiday season—may it be full of joy. I also hope your Secret Santa has sent you some lovely messages!
