Between all the mirror selfies set adjoin the accomplishments of those same-looking minimalist spaces (you apperceive what we’re talking about; there’s consistently a abandoned Wassily armchair in the bend and maybe some pampas grass angle in the breeze of an AC unit), there’s addition artful brewing assertive your Instagram feeds and Pinterest boards, abnormally now that lockdown has apprenticed abounding of us to our parents’ houses. Instead of a avant-garde mirror aptitude on the attic adjoin a white wall, there’s a Baroque bizarre one aloft an aged chiffonier anchored to the chintz or toile-covered walls. The allowance is absolutely sweet. The accouterments featured? A little funkier. The artful in catechism marries identities we about accessory as opposites, and it’s been dubbed “the Wallpaper Girls” by Tik Toker Charlotte Samuels.
“Usually these Wallpaper Girls alive in either L.A. or New York” Samuels says. “Growing up they apparently had a bath with absolutely big-ticket wallpaper. Decorating their daughter’s rooms, [parents] capital it to be elegant, and timeless—something that they wouldn’t accept to change… They apparently paid a lot of money for the wallpaper and analogous valences. And they apparently accepted them to abound up and be like Blair and Serena [from Gossip Girl]. But active in a burghal and during these times, their daughters grew up to be baddies. And this artful [wallpaper] doesn’t consistently bout this one [edgy artery style,]” Samuels hypothesizes. “So these girls are all developed up and they’re cool. They’ve got to booty their selfies somewhere, so they booty them in their rooms. And thus, the wallpaper babe is born. She’s cool, but she’s still got the OG wallpaper and curtains.”
Speaking to the afflatus abaft the Tik Tok, Samuels tells Abode Beautiful that Wallpaper Girls are built-in “out of apostasy adjoin what you grew up with but additionally admiring it.” She’s accustomed with it herself, as her mother, Megan Arquette is an autogenous artist with a affection for old-school wallpaper—she absolutely hosted a podcast alleged The Skirted Roundtable that featured the brand of Miles Redd, Charlotte Moss, Mario Buatta, and added HB favorites.

“The abode I grew up in was a baby bungalow from the ’40s and we had wallpaper with victorian scenes corrective on it,” Samuels remembers. “A big allotment of it what absolutely makes addition a Wallpaper Woman is that old money look,” Samuels says. So, anticipate toile and chintz prints over added avant-garde geometric prints and antic flamingos. “Old money whispers, new money screams,” she jokes.
Like their abutting cousin, the Grandmillennial, Wallpaper Women accept an acknowledgment for acceptable aesthetics. But here’s breadth they diverge: Wallpaper Women are alienated and acceptable a mix of

i did not know that u also watch project scard! what do you think about the anime? 😆
It is...certainly a show that exists.
Yeah, I’m watching it but I’m not too impressed so far (I wouldn’t call it a hatewatch though, more like a...lolwatch). Tbh my distinct impression, which has not lessened as of episode three, is that GoHands finally figured out that no one wants to watch Handshakers so they decided to try and recreate their single actually successful franchise but just sorta smudged the details a bit. Right now Scard feels kinda like what would happen if you gave someone the basic premise of K and then passed it down the line in a game of telephone. Like so far we have several groups of people with magic powers, some of whom have fancy coats to wear, the ‘main’ group whose name begins with H have their headquarters in a ba--cafe and they’re dealing with the death of one of their members. There’s also a police force who wear fancy blue outfits and one of the main members is a gloomy boy who plays with knives.
And so far we have Totally Not Mikoto,
Totally Not Mini Totsuka,
and Totally Not Baby Kukuri.
Also the series so far and the OP in particular are absolutely chock full of animation that they took from K and as someone who has watched a lot of K it is very distracting.
(My other big complaint is that I feel like GoHands current house animation style is basically trying to imitate the coolness of K season one but on the cheap so instead of looking slick everything just looks...off. Like the first episode is all ‘we live in lawless zone of danger and poverty which is why the main character’s apartment is spaciously decorated complete with beautiful ambient lighting.’ The background opulence largely worked in K, with spaces like the fancy regal Scepter 4 or Kusanagi’s meticulously cared for bar or even Shiro’s ultra-modern apartment with the moving wallpaper, but it doesn’t match so well when you’re trying to convince me that these characters all live in a deadly lawless zone where only orphans and those with no choice find themselves stuck and unable to leave and also the furniture sales are just amazing I guess.)
#I don't know what distracts me more#the reused animation or the way too fancy backgrounds#plus you have stuff like episode one where apparently the main character and mini Totsuka are pinned and can't get home#but meanwhile not-Homra is fighting like four dudes#and the behind the characters there is literally nothing but vast open space#also Bar Homra >>> Scard Cafe whose name I already forgot#THE BOOKSHELVES#WHAT WAS UP WITH THE BOOKSHELVES#why did the cafe have weird skinny bookshelves and then normal bookshelves help#at this point the setting feels more like an excuse to not have to animate street pedestrians

Boléro violet by Henri Matisse, 1937
Suffused with the brilliant light of the South of France, Boléro violet is an exquisite portrait from one of the most important and creative periods of Matisse’s art. The arrangement of the exotically dressed girl, with her upper body posed diagonally across the painting, is invitingly intimate, with the sweeping arm of her chair creating a subtle distinction between the position of the model and the picture's surface. The emphasis Matisse placed on decorative patterns is particularly apparent in Boléro violet. The buttercup gold and orange striped wallpaper, vivid purple coat and strikingly stylised features of the model - her dark hair and red lips being especially pronounced - combine to create a beguiling vision of the artist’s opulent domain.
The model in the painting is Princess Hélène Galitzine, daughter of Russian aristocrat Prince Serge Galitzine and Helene Ghijitzky. Not yet eighteen years-old when Matisse created Boléro violet, her strikingly dark hair provided a perfect foil to Lydia Delectorskaya’s fair colouration. Throughout 1937 Hélène was one of Matisse’s principal models and posed for a number of important works, often alongside her cousin Delectorskaya. The pair continued to model together for the next couple of years, and posed for the monumental La musique in 1939 (fig. 1). In the same year he completed La musique, Matisse made a statement recognising the importance of his models: ‘The emotional interest aroused in me by them does not appear particularly in the representation of their bodies, but often rather in the lines or the special values distributed over the whole canvas or paper, which form its complete orchestration, its architecture… It is perhaps sublimated sensual pleasure’ (H. Matisse, quoted in Henri Matisse. Figure Color Space (exhibition catalogue), Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen, Düsseldorf, 2005, p. 40).
Throughout his life, Matisse approached clothing and textiles with the keen eye of a collector. Costumes of all descriptions could be found in numerous chests about his house and studio. From Romanian peasant clothing to Parisian ball gowns, Matisse’s appetite for clothing was enormous. He commissioned the celebrated designer Paul Poiret’s sister to make dresses for his wife and daughter, and on one occasion in 1938, he spent a day in the area around the rue de la Boëtie in Paris buying several items of haute couture at the spring sales. By the time he moved to his new apartment in the old Excelsior-Regina Palace Hotel in Cimiez in 1939, his collection of costumes required a whole room to store them. As Hilary Spurling has noted: ‘Moroccan jackets, robes, blouses, boleros, caps and scarves, from which his models could be kitted out in outfits distantly descended - like Bakst's ballet, and a whole series of films using Nice locations in the 1920s as a substitute for the mysterious East - from the French painterly tradition of orientalisation’ (H. Spurling, Matisse: His Art and his Textiles (exhibition catalogue), The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, 2005, p. 29).
According to Lydia Delectorskaya in 1937 Matisse had become particularly fascinated with a set of Romanian blouses which he rediscovered amongst his studio props. These blouses had been a gift from the Romanian painter Theodor Pallady, who regularly corresponded with Matisse, discussing their art and in particular the important role of its more decorative aspects. Hélène Galitzine was photographed by the artist wearing one of these blouses (fig. 2), and he subsequently painted a number of works - using other models - that used the geometric oak-leaf embroidery as the central decorative motif. Similarly, Matisse produced several improvisations on the decorative qualities of a richly hued jacket decorated with elaborate gold embroidery (fig. 3). Matisse had used this coat in an earlier oil (fig. 4), and echoes of its orientalist charm are reawakened in his paintings in the late 1930s.
In a discussion concerning his working methods with the poet Tériade, which was later published in 1937, Matisse wrote: ‘In my latest paintings, I united the acquisitions of the last twenty years to my essential core, to my very essence. […] The reaction of each stage is as important as the subject. For this reaction comes from me and not from the subject. It is from the basis of my interpretation that I continually react until my work comes into harmony with me... At each stage, I reach a balance, a conclusion. At the next sitting, if I find there is a weakness in the whole, I make my way back into the picture by means of the weakness - I re-enter through the breach-end, I reconceive the whole. Thus everything becomes fluid again and as each element is only one of the component forces (as in an orchestration), the whole can be changed in appearance but the feeling sought still remains the same. A black could very well replace a blue, since basically the expression derives from the relationships. One is not bound to a blue, to a green or to a red, whose timbres can be introverted or replaced if the feeling so dictates… At the final stage the painter finds himself freed and his emotion exists complete in his work' (quoted in Jack Flam (ed.), Matisse on Art, Berkeley, 1995, p. 123).
Discussing Matisse’s portraits of the mid-1930s, John Elderfield wrote: ‘his model is shown in decorative costumes – a striped Persian coat [fig. 5], a Rumanian blouse – and the decorativeness and the very construction of a costume and of a painting are offered as analogous. What developed were groups of paintings showing his model in similar or different poses, costumes, and settings: a sequence of themes and variations that gained in mystery and intensity as it unfolded’ (J. Elderfield in Henri Matisse, A Retrospective (exhibition catalogue), The Museum of Modern Art, New York, 1992, p. 357). Boléro violet is an extraordinary example of Matisse’s constantly evolving perception of form and colour. The paintings of the late 1930s are the supreme outcome of decades of improvisation on these decorative elements, wherein contrasting patterns and colours of the present work harmonise, and the features of the young Hélène are transfigured into the epitome of timeless elegance. The first owner of the present work was Aldus Chapin Higgins of Worcester, Massachusetts. Higgins acquired Boléro violet from Paul Rosenberg’s Paris exhibition of Matisse’s recent works in 1937 which subsequently travelled to London. The previous year Rosenberg persuaded Matisse to sign a three year contract, thus becoming his principal dealer. These exhibitions in Paris and London, held for the next few years, helped the artist to sell directly to a large number of collectors from America and Europe. Aldus C. Higgins was a businessman who spent his entire career with his family’s firm, the Norton Emery Wheel Company. He also invented a water-cooled electric furnace which won the John Scott medal for exceptional achievement in mechanical arts in 1914. Higgins also commissioned the architect Grosvenor Atterbury to build him a house modelled on Compton Wyngates, the Elizabethan seat of the Marquesses of Northampton. The house was completed in 1923, and Higgins and his wife, Mary, lived there until their deaths when it was given to the Worcester Polytechnic Institute, of which his family had been tremendously supportive. Aldus and Mary Higgins were avid collectors of art, and during trips to Europe purchased many wonderful paintings including the magnificent Fauve canvas, L’Oliviers by Georges Braque and Georges Rouault’s Coucher du soleil which were both eventually bequeathed to the Worcester Art Museum. Boléro violet remained in Higgins' family possession until 1990, when it was acquired by the present owner.

Taron Egerton fluffy A-Z
requested: I’d LOVE to see how you put together a sfw/fluff version of a-z with taron egerton ❤️ I’m obsessed with your nsfw one and I think you get his personality so right!
A = Attractive: what do they find attractive about the other?
he’s attracted to how if you need something done, you’ll get it done. he loves how passionate you are, and how you love making new memories.
B = Baby: do they want a family? why/why not?
he absolutely does. he wants 3 kids, a cat and dog. he is such a sap when it comes to babies and toddlers, and you see how he is with his little sisters, which just makes you want to have kids with him more. you got pregnant with your first child, he was so happy he cried, holding the tests so close to his heart, whispering “thank you” over and over as you hug his head to his chest.
C = Cuddle: how do they cuddle?
he loves to have you snuggled into him, your arms tucked against your body with taron’s arms tightly wrapped around you, your head on his chest. he also loves to have you hold him. some days he comes home and he just needs you to hold him, petting his hair and kissing his nose.
D = Dates: what are dates with them like?
simple. taron doesn’t like to be photographed out in public on the streets living his life, so he likes to order food in, set up a fort on the bed or in the living room and little fairy lights and says “ta da!” when you come into the room. or, you two will sneak out and go to your favorite hiding spot and just sit there for hours, talking or not, looking out at the city.
E = Everything: “you are my ____” (e.g my life, my world…)
you are my sunshine
F = Feelings: when did they know they were falling in love?
when you come to visit him at work at you look at him in a certain way, and it makes his heart race. it got him distracted, yet he was still acting amazing. he would come back to his dressing room and just twirl you around and kiss you passionately and the look he has in his eyes, you knew what he wanted to say.
G = Gentle: are they gentle? If so, how?
taron wouldn’t hurt a fly. but when there’s photographers around and you get anxious, he won’t be too gentle to them, but so gentle to you. holding you close and whispering in your ear. at home, he’s the cutest thing ever. so cuddly and kissing your cheek as his thumb rubs you thigh as you two cuddle on the bed.
H = Hand/Hold: how do they like to hold? how do they like to hold hands?
if you’re standing up, he likes to stand behind you with his hands on your hips and your face next to yours, sometimes placing his chin on your shoulder. or he likes to hold you to his side, your hand rubbing his back and his arm around your shoulders, rubbing your arm. he loves to hold your hand. holding your pinkies together sometimes if you’re on red carpets. at home, you two are laying in bed watching a movie and he grabs your hand, linking his fingers with yours and putting them on his chest, tummy or in his lap. he loves to fall asleep on your shoulder holding hands in his lap.
I = Impression: first impression/s
he thought you were absolutely beautiful, and he didn’t even realize you had taken his breath away until after you pass. he sees you at the comic con getting interviewed and he can’t take his eyes off you.
you saw him on stage, and you couldn’t take your eyes off him either. you saw him in ‘rocketman’ and thought he was amazing in that and you saw photos of him on the red carpet at the premiere and you had sparkles in your eyes.
J = Joker: are they into pulling pranks?
not really. a couple jumpscares here and there, nothing serious like dyeing your clothes or anything.
K = Kisses: how do they kiss?
oh me oh my. taron loves to hold your face and rub his thumbs on your cheeks as he kisses you deeply. or he puts his hands on your neck. or his hands going down your sides, on your hips, pulling you in. he loves when he comes home from trips or a long, long day where you wrap your arms around his neck, fingers holding his hair as he holds your waist.
L = Love: who says I love you first?
he did. you two were just at home, and as you sat on the bed, he went over and sat across from you, holding your face and just staring. you smile and giggle, confused. “are you okay, babe?”
“i’ve just meaning to tell you this for a while. i didn’t think i was falling, but yesterday, it just hit me. i wanted to digest it, but god, yn, i love you. and i’m so happy that it’s you i love. i love you so much, yn. and you don’t have to say it back, but i just wanted to..”
“taron..” you place your hand on his cheek and smiled. “i loved you too, baby” he smiles widely and kisses you passionately, so happy that you feel the same about him as he does you.
he can’t stop telling you either. he’ll just come up to you randomly, kissing your lips and whispering, ‘i love you’
M = Memory: their favorite moment together
his favorite memory is taking you home and seeing you with his little sisters. seeing how you made them giggle and how they snuggled next to you as you read, (or commenting how funny your accent was if you weren’t from the uk) and taron couldn’t stop taking photos and videos, and when the four of you napped, one girl in your arms and the other in his, his mom takes a picture and he sets it as his wallpaper and smiles every time he looks at it.
N = Nickel: do they spoil? do they buy the person they love everything?
he wants to spoil you, but you don’t let him, yet he still does it. it’ll only really be once and a while. a new ring, or necklace. something you can always wear to remember him when he leaves for a bit. of course you would never forget him, but he would like to get you something where every time you look down at it, you think of him.
O = Orange: what color reminds them of their other half?
a nice shade of red, or a light purple
P = Pet names: what pet names do they use?
all the pet names under the sun. but his favorites were “love” “baby” “darling” and “sweetheart”
Q = Quaint: what is their favorite non-modern thing?
he loves older cameras! the ones that require film and not the digital ones. he likes having to take them to the store and see them developed and then hang them above the bed.
R = Rainy Day: what do they like to do on a rainy day?
he likes to stay in with coffee/tea, lounging around in his underwear as the two of you watch shows and movies. sometimes you’d facetime richard and bother him. you two would go to the store and buy different kinds of cookie dough, save it for a rainy day and bake them as you two listen to music and sing and dance around the kitchen.
S = Sad: how do they cheer themselves/each other up
he likes to listen to his music, or he won’t say anything to you and just lay down on top of you, sighing, and taking your hand himself and putting it on his head. he loves to just have you hold him and kiss him softly. it gets him happier every time.
T = Talking: what do they love to talk about?
he loves to talk about how much music had inspired him and helped him. he also loves to talk about how he met you, and how he was going to propose to you.
U = Unencumbered: What helps them relax?
being cuddled in your arms, listening to soft music, taking a nap, doing a cooling face mask, and listening to you read to him.
V = Vaunt: what do they like to show off? What are they proud of?
you, always you. talking about how good you are to him. he always love to show off his memorabilia from ‘rocketman’ as well.
W = Wedding: when, how, where do they propose?
he proposes on your 3 year anniversary, under the stars in the same spot he took you on your first date.

The surrounding air is wonderfully clean, outrageously so, filtered so incessantly that it Ruben’s chest aches; lungs flowering open to absorb more of that sanitary oxygen, a tongue akin to rubber smacking across the roof of his mouth. Everything in this facility feels so unnaturally pure – a retouched image of civilization which never seems to pop! into focus despite how he rubs astronomy into his eyes. Here, like everywhere else, his unkempt boredom is a fickle mistress.
Pushing his lips out beyond their limit – simply to hear the minuscule squelch the movement causes – and smacking them in time to an unknown (yet to be established) rhythm, Ruben’s eyes flicker lazily throughout his sibling’s tidy office. The décor is mystifying, if lazy, a collision of stained oak and rusted embellishments. Certainly not the tastes reflected in his patchwork memory. James was always a plastic over steel type of person. Economy be damned.
Ruben finds his fingertips curling around a rather odd-looking sphere sitting nonchalantly on the center of James’ vast desk. The object bursts with energy, a vortex of brilliant neon light swirling around one and other in a tangle which causes Ruben’s eyes to twist over one together. He shakes the feeling of nausea easily and places the peculiar ball back onto its pedestal; that luminescent spectrum floating in front of his eyes in the minutes which follow. His fingers drum pointless syllables amidst forgotten papers and uncapped stationery and his eyes trace amidst the madness for a flash of anything even remotely Delgado related; a single semblance of the person Ruben used to know – that same being who would get high off sunshine and loathed the color black.
All he can find is a stack of unopened mail and a collection of neatly stacked manila folders. Folders which have been stamped scarlet and wrapped in a loose bow of twine. Each file houses a name, written in beautiful cursive scrawl, which he does not recognize. Curiosity tends to bring out the worst in him – a feline urgency which rattles at the barrier of his bones and has his palms trembling with the urge to explore; his very fingertips are the tools which can excavate an entire realm of unknowns. Even if they do not belong to him. Glancing swiftly over his shoulder as a precautionary measure, Ruben presses his thumb underneath the lip of the top folder and peers cautiously inside in search of someth-
The door swings open with far more momentum than Ruben could have anticipated, handle bouncing forcefully moulded wallpaper, causing him to leap back as though his fingertips had been submerged within sapphire flame. He straightens his posture almost instantaneously – save for the natural buckle of his knees, toes pointed in toward one and other. Porcelain and silver illuminate the entirety of his grin – genuine glee captured within boyish features.
Despite the downward angle of James’ face, eyes transfixed on polished linoleum and ill-fitting shoes, it feels incredible to witness a likeness which has not been seen for years. They have developed a few fair lines around hauntingly tired eyes since their last meeting. Their lashes are fuller, longer and darker. Their cheeks have swollen considerably since that final winter. They look surprisingly healthy despite how their lips pinch hotly in stress, fingertips wrapped around steaming Styrofoam and struggling to balance an oversized binder beneath their arm.
It’s still them. It’s still James.
And that notion alone is enough to bring forth a triumphant “Hi!” from Ruben’s glowing lips.
James flinches temporarily, their coffee wavering in unsteady fingertips while their binder is kept impeccably close. They pause, suck in a tepid breath, and sigh.
“Ruben… What’re you doing here?”
“Uh,” Ruben bounces forward, knotting his fingertips throughout each other until they creak in utmost protest. “I know you said you’d contact me when you’re free, but I’ve been here for a few weeks now and you haven’t given me a call. Or a text. Or anything, really.”
The sight of their younger brother sucking helplessly at the rotund swell of his lower lip is horrifyingly familiar; warmth spills forth like honey into the slender expanse of a previously hollow chest. James fights to keep their patience at bay, pushing a sand of sun-soaked hair behind their ear. They tut – just once – but it is enough to wilt Ruben’s charismatic smile.
“I told you – I’m busy.” Coffee spills like morphine across a dry tongue, allowing James a moment to gather himself; to keep the thorns of his altered psyche from protruding outward. “I’m glad you’re here, Rubie. You look well.”
Rubie. The vowels and consonants flood Ruben’s hyperactive mind with a certain ecstasy he had forgotten could exist; swaddling a heartbeat which had already begun to erupt in thunderous applause for such recognition. His vision dips down toward himself, traces across the loose stripes of an oversized sweater and drops to faded undersized cargo shorts. He is hardly the picture of modern adulthood and yet here is sibling is – passing out compliments as though they were crimson roses. Encore encore.
“You think?”
“Mhm..”
Something feels off. A collision of obsessive lines and organized chaos suddenly knocked into a world of disastrous carelessness. James’ eyes dart lazily across their desk in search of that one thing causing such a sense of disruption. Their throat feels full – so dangerously full – for a rat has been gnawing those wiry little whiskers into business which does not deserve to be caked in sewage. Something is wrong.
There. A file, sitting precariously atop its cousins, has been knocked askew. It does not belong. It has been touched.
“You know,” James begins, straightening the offending envelope. “My job is extremely boring. This isn’t the best place for us to spend time together.”
Ruben’s eyes trace his sibling’s articulation, glossing over fascinating manila and gargantuan binder; his stomach flutters terribly with the fantasy of the unknown. What a thrill.
“It’s probably cooler than you thi-“
“No. It’s not.”
James stands abruptly with their chair sliding nosily from under their weight. Their approach is deliberately slow, almost cautious, as they bring their palm to a rest against the intricate notches of Ruben’s spine. Affection spills with translucent mirth across the younger sibling’s heightened senses. To be touched by someone you love so dearly; to reattach severed strands after such an imposing separation. Ruben cannot help the way his lashes glitter.
“I still have quite a lot I need to do today, brother. But how about I take you out to dinner on Saturday? We can even get your favourite – nothing but chilli dogs and curly fries!”
Ruben doesn’t have the heart to tell them about his developed tastes.
“Yeah, I’d like that a lot!”
“Good!” Returning to their chair, James takes another sip of their rapidly cooling caffeine. You can tell me all about yourself. I’m sure you’ve got a lot to tell me.”
Visions of technicolour penmanship, bold and intricate and oh so vivid, overwhelm Ruben’s easily infatuated senses. His sketches had always been messy but important – characters summoned from a susceptible imagination and transformed into fully-realized beings. His fingers flex around the throat of an invisible guitar, plucking at well-worn strings and across tuneless chords he had sewn together to make his own master mixes yet unheard of. He thinks to the small collection of skateboards left untouched inside a cardboard box yet to be unpacked, the peculiar shapes and light-up wheels he had fought to win over Ebay despite his sincere lack of balance and dedication. All these projects and passions left unfinished that he absolutely worships because they were crafted by his own palms.
And now he has finally been given the opportunity to share such majesty with his estranged sibling.
“Yes! I-I mean, it sounds good. I’ll see you on Saturday, then?”
“Saturday. It really is great to see you, little bro.”
Ruben finds his spidery arms wrapping around James’ nape before he can halt himself, his stomach spilling across the mountainous paperwork scattered around a busy desk, nose buried amidst structured collarbones and grin utterly infallible.
“It’s so good to see you, too.”
He lingers there for a moment. Then another. Then another. Before finally parting from James with another one of those ludicrously vibrant grins. He stumbles from the office on loose ankles, skidding pathetically out the door as he trips on his own oversized feet. Typical Ruben.
Some things never change no matter how gracious time can be.
James, however, does not take the opportunity to laugh. Not when their fingertips are spilling over their intercom to signal their assistant.
“Yes, boss?”
“Courtney. I need you to bring all the footage recorded in my office today. Right away, please.”
“Of course. Right away.”
Thick fingertips press like pebbles across James’ knotted temple, worrying against miniscule tangles which have begun to throb enthusiastically underneath the surface. Through tinted lashes, they rotate their vision toward the large black binder taking pride of place on their desk; focusing on the imposing logo polished prettily on the cover.

Tome of Another Realm
Another one for randomwolf91 - this time he wanted a TF into his Roegadyn character from Final Fantasy XIV.
———————
If you're not one to use a computer much, it's hard to really explain how much it sucks when it breaks. It's an escape, a way to relax, and catch up with the world. It can feel like you've been cut off from something very important in your life - even if you don't do stuff considered particularly important by most people.
This was Loez's situation now. His computer had gone on the fritz - been that way since the weekend. He still wasn't totally sure why it had happened. He'd been playing Final Fantasy XIV, when the whole thing had just suddenly cut out inexplicably. The screen went black, the fan of the computer shut off, all the lights on the tower went down. There hadn't been any sort of power cut or anything, it hadn't overheated. It just wouldn't turn back on at all. At least one saving grace was that he hadn't been doing anything majorly important when it had cut out.
He'd taken the computer to a shop on the Monday, and they said they'd let him know what they'd found by next week. So here he was, 4 days without a computer. No games, no important files...in the modern age of smartphones it wasn't too bad. He still had access to social media and IM chat clients, but it's never quite the same. So here he was, at home, frustrated and bored out of his mind. All he wanted was his computer back.
He was lying on his bed, fully clothed, his phone lying at his side. He couldn't really think of anything to do...well, not quite. He could think of things he could be doing, he just didn't want to do any of them. Even the things that otherwise sounded like they might be fun seemed unappealing and boring. He scratched his belly through his red t-shirt.
He stifled a yawn, even though it was the middle of the day. Maybe if he just curled up and slept now, he could sleep through to the next week, when he already had his computer back. If only it were so easy. Slowly pushing himself up, leaving his phone on the bed, he walked over to the window and stared out at the street below. Surely anything would be better than just laying in bed all day.
What could he do? Something he hadn't done in a while maybe. Nice as a computer was, by its nature if you spent too much time with it, it left you kind of a hermit. He should go out somewhere. Somewhere he hadn't been before...or maybe somewhere he had, but not in ages. Where, though?
He scratched his beardy chin, trying to think of a place to go. Maybe a restaurant or something...nah, that'd be kind of weird, going on his own. What was a good place you could go to on your own? He glanced around the room looking for ideas. Most places you went with someone. Not that he didn't necessarily have people to go with, just...
He caught himself absentmindedly staring at a bookshelf with a few books placed on it. He considered reading them, but he'd read them all already, and he didn't feel like looking at them again right now. He should probably buy some new books...or...
The library. It seemed kind of obvious, when he thought about it. They were places designed for you to be alone in, practically. Maybe he'd go, spend a few hours there. It couldn't hurt. Might make him feel less like he was trapped in this place. He pulled up his jeans at the waistline, looking around for socks to put on. It was sounding like a better idea all the time.
---
The walk to the library wasn't too far, but it was long enough for Loez's mind to drift, inevitably, back to the night his computer had shut off. He'd donned a pair of converses and a blue hoodie for his short outing, and was walking along the main street now. The sun was shining, although it was a little weak, as summer was starting to end. He adjusted his glasses. What had caused the sudden outage was still a mystery to him. He tried to remember exactly what he had been doing when it had happened. He'd just finished a mainline quest - luckily the game had saved, so he hopefully hadn't lost all that much. As far as he could remember, he'd just started a new one...something about forgotten memories or something, and then the whole thing had shut off.
He supposed what he missed the most about not having FFXIV around to play right now was his character. A handsome, stylish roegadyn, with grey skin, and muscles to spare. They were a very attractive race, he thought - a little beastly, but not too much, and naturally powerful. It was nice to play pretend at that kind of thing.
Realizing he was getting close to the library, Loez stopped thinking about his PC for once. He stopped for a moment, taking in the building. It was a pretty small local library, all red brick with some windows set in the walls. The electric sliding doors admitting entrance to the building looked a little out of place. He headed inside, getting out of the heat that was starting to make him sweat a little bit.
It was cool inside, thanks to the AC. The decor was pretty simple - dark blue carpets, white wallpaper, with some colourful leaflets and such pinned up on notice boards. The corner for kids books had some colorful paint on the walls, but otherwise, the rest was just simple wood furniture and shelves of books. It was a nice thing he'd sort of forgotten about libraries. No-one would bother you here unless you asked them to, really.
He began walking through the library, mainly sticking to the fiction section. Thinking about Final Fantasy had put him in the mood for something fantasy-based. There was a lot of books that seemed interesting, that he'd never heard of before. Some weird takes on Alice in Wonderland, a darker version of Who Framed Roger Rabbit, but about holiday mascots instead. He raised an eyebrow at a small manga section, surprised a little library like this would have something like that. He guessed it had been a while since he'd been here.
Now he was finding licensed books - books based on videogames in particular. Stuff like Halo, and BioShock, spin off books and graphic novels. He didn't feel like reading any of them in particular...then one particular book caught his eye.
It stood out, mainly by having nothing immediately identifiable about it on its cover. Unlike the hard, plastic cover of the books that surrounded it, this cover was leather, with straps bound around it. It looked very out of place. He reached towards it, pulling it out of the shelf. He was surprised to see that the straps binding the book were for real - he suspected they might have been drawn on, at first glance. He tugged at them - they looked like simple belt buckles to unstrap.
He looked around for a reading area, and saw one of the little cubicles set aside for quiet reading. Walking over, he sat down in the chair and set the book on the table - it was quite heavy, and landed with a thump. He unstrapped the bindings, and was surprised again - the book seemed to have no title. Just a nondescript, brown leather cover. Maybe there was something on the inside. He opened the cover up. There didn't seem to be any publishing information, which seemed odd. He turned a couple of pages, until he saw the first words, in a classical, somewhat large font.
"Tales of Adventure - A Realm Reborn A record of recent Eorzean history."
Loez raised an eyebrow. Figures. He'd managed to pick up a supplementary book about Final Fantasy XIV. Although, it was a little strange. Usually, Square Enix couldn't resist putting the logo all over anything related to Final Fantasy. It was a surprising amount of restraint they were showing. Maybe to make the book feel more "authentic"? He turned a couple more pages, with fingers that had thickened slightly...but only very slightly.
The book seemed to be acting as a sort of primer for the game, but as if the book itself was directly from the game, being written by an Eorzean historian. The opening section talked about the initial, infamously bad version of the game - although it didn't seem to be making as many jokes about it as Square Enix were more prone to do these days, given how bad the original version of the game was.
This section was pretty short - they seemed to be talking about it as if it was long ago, mythical times that no-one really knew all that much about. Of course, Loez, knew how it ended, with Bahamut destroying the old world, and the adventurers being sent of the world to the "realm reborn". As he read further, reminiscing about the couple of weeks he'd spent in the old version of the game, his body was changing.
He was starting to lose weight...no, that wasn't quite right. He was losing fat. His belly, which would normally push out against his shirt, was beginning to...well, it looked a little like it was deflating, at first. This wasn't quite the case, however. The fat was being converted. His stomach was losing its softness, the abdominals beginning to harden. His hips widened slightly, and he felt a warm feeling over his body. It wasn't too much, not really all that noticeable, just...pleasant.
Loez read on, to the "Realm Reborn" part, which was a bit more dense than the preceding section - mainly because the writer seemed to know more about it. As he read over the creation myth and early history, his hands were thickening further now. His digits gained extra mass, the palms of his hands broadening. There was a very slight tickle, as the tips of his fingers became more calloused, and small scars split the hand open, before the skin knitted back together. A black mark appeared around the inside of his right hand, between his thumb and forefinger, as well as on the tip of his thumb - the mark of someone who used a weapon such as a gun relatively frequently.
The book went on, about wars throughout the history of Eorzea, the various rulers and classes, races that populated the realm. Loez wondered if they were going to talk about the stuff you did in the game, and how they'd handle it. His forearms were bulking out now, gaining in muscle, any fat they had being converted. As before, there was a warm feeling going through him, but it wasn't breaking his concentration. His biceps were bulking out now, connecting up with his shoulders and back, which were getting wider - if anyone was to watch, they could see him getting bigger in the cubicle, gaining in muscle spontaneously.
His skin was beginning to lose its colour, the pink fading from his skin. He was becoming paler all over, his skin beginning to turn almost white. His back muscles were piling on the strength, that warm feeling going through his shoulder blades. It was like a pleasant massage, and the front of his body wasn't long in trying to catch up. His pecs were pushing out now. Before, they'd been soft, and kind of plump with fat, but as with the rest of his body, that fat was being converted to more muscle, the muscle of someone who spent a lot of time around physically taxing jobs.
Loez was starting to get to the actual "recent history" part of this book...and as he did, it was now his clothes turn to start changing. It started with his hoodie, the blue colour draining from it, as the soft cotton was toughening up, becoming a harder leather, the colour becoming more of a dark brown. The sleeves were riding up, exposing his much bulkier arms for a brief moment. However, they were then covered up by his undershirt, which was doing something like the opposite of his jacket, the sleeves there lengthening, but only up to the lower part of his wrists.
The zip of the hoodie simply seemed to fade away, the material knitting together into a solid piece of brown leather. Buttons were pushing out instead, marking the starts of straps that were hanging loosely down off the former hoodie. The sleeves had now come all the way up to his shoulders, before pulling back over them making his hoodie more like a tough leather vest. His shirt, meanwhile, was losing its colour. The red turned to a soft pink, before turning white. The collar rose up around his neck around the back, but the front of the collar opened up, folding back on itself. Buttons bloomed underneath the leather vest, becoming undone at the top, exposing his collarbones, and the tops of his pectoral muscles, the skin turning back from white, to a darker shade...more of a grey.
Loez pushed up his glasses with his right hand, oblivious to the changes, exemplified by the fact that the hand he'd just used was having a glove formed around it. It started simple enough, around his wrist, a similar brown to his vest. White markings drew themselves in, as the leather of the glove raised up around his hand, before stopping around his knuckles, leaving his upper fingers bare. A metal plate shimmered into place, a bit of blue light surrounding them briefly, before setting into the glove, to protect his hand.
"Eorzea has many adventurers - some may even call them heroes," the book read. "The next section of this history concerns itself with the 7th Umbral Era, an era in which there are many notable adventurers. However, perhaps the most notable would be one no-one at the time would have expected - a roegadyn by the name of Loezkirz Sykursyn."
That line made Loez stop. Because that was his name.
No, it was...the name of his character...in the game. Of course. Where had that come from? It wasn't the point. Why was his...character's name in this book? He'd figured they would just use the generic "warrior of light" nickname for anything the player did, but here it was. It was his...his...character's...name...here in the book. It wasn't drawn in. It had definitely been typed in the book. Why would they put his...character's...name...why was he getting hung up on that? With his right hand, he turned the book over to the back cover, hoping for an explanation - and noticed the glove.
"Uhhh..." Loez stammered, in a noticeably lower voice, jumping with surprise. The realisations came quick and fast - the glove, the skin, the size of the hand, then down along his bulked out forearms, biceps triceps, his pecs pushing out, the strange new clothes. No, not new clothes. He knew these clothes, they were his clothes! Uh, his character's clothes, he meant. In Final Fantasy XIV. Which was...a game. Wasn't it?
Except...that didn't feel quite right any more. His head was getting fuzzy. He was...just...a human, right? He had a computer, and stuff, and he just lived a normal life, and he played video games? That couldn't be right. He remembered it, but it didn't sound real to him. Then what was he? The roegadyn? The adventurer the book spoke of? That didn't sound real either. He looked around, but it made his head hurt more. The walls were spinning, the wallpaper was shifting...one moment it was plaster, the next it was ancient, stone brick. What was happening to him?
He looked down at the book, and his head seemed to get less fuzzy. Did the book have the answers? It seemed so strange that he should forget who he was in this way, but...just looking at the book seemed to make him feel better. He took it in his broad hands (did he have those before? He couldn't remember), and opened it up, trying to find his page again.
"...a roegadyn by the name of Loezkirz Sykursyn." The name that made him stop. Why had it bothered him so? He hadn't expected to read it...maybe if he read further it would explain. He began reading the next section in earnest, slightly fearful of what might be coming. It talked of the events of the 7th Umbral Era, the exploits of this roegadyn with the name that had made his head hurt so before. As he read on, his hair darkened in shade, going from chestnut brown to a more jet black shade. His beard was growing out, becoming fiercer, but finely combed, like he took extensive time making it look good. As he read about encounters in dungeons with fierce enemies, his softened jawline began to harden, becoming squarer. He licked his dry lips, as they thickened.
His lower body wasn't exempt from changes. His legs had packed on the muscle now, powerful and strong, his endurance and stamina increasing as he read. His jeans had gone from denim, to the brown leather of his vest. A belt snaked it's way around his waist, the left side beginning to bulk out and hang down - a large pouch attached to the belt. Anyone else might have trouble carrying it around, but his powerful leg muscles were more than up to the job of carrying the items that were beginning to fill the pouch.
As he read on, learning more about the adventures of this roegadyn, the more it...felt right. He was beginning to recall these adventures, with much more clarity than the historian. Descending into the dungeons - he could remember fighting the monsters the book spoke of. He remembered the kick of the gun in his hand most vividly, as a strap wound its way around his body, and the gun in question shimmered into place, not unlike the metal plate on his gloves. The double barrels of the weapon pointed at the ground, as it slid into its holster, strapped to his back. The weight of the gun on his back felt familiar...felt right.
His nose was broadening, his skull getting wider - his glasses stretched to accommodate, and he felt no pain, as they refit himself to his reshaping face. His brow came lower, harder set, as he frowned at an inaccuracy. His hair became shorter, closer to the nape of his neck, finely combed, just like his beard...he stroked the beard in question, fondly remembering some lighter moments in his adventures. The jet black colour went through all of the hair that adorned his head, save for the tips of his hair, which had streaks of light green complementing it.
The final touches fell into place. His converses hardened out into large boots, with metal spurs. Two markings drew themselves in under his eyes, light green ink pressing into his skin, becoming a permanent, tattooed feature, and as he came to the end of the section about himself, earrings pierced through his lobes, settling lightly into place. He smiled, and closed the book with one hand.
Perhaps a bit self-indulgent to read about oneself, but the way Loezkirz saw it, if you didn't know your own history at the very least, then there was nothing to stop you repeating mistakes in the future. It was very nice of someone to write out his history for him, at least - not everyone had that luxury. Standing up, he looked for where he had taken the book from, and returned it to its shelf, walking past the old stone bricks that had seen so many days pass.
Some people would see it as a shame that perhaps the book could not see into the future, but as Loezkirz exited the old guild building into the sunlight of Limsa Lominsa, he figured that would spoil things. Half the fun of adventuring was never knowing what might come next. To him, the future wasn't something that was prewritten, to be determined by the divine. He took matters into his own hands, and made the future he wanted to see.
He took a moment to admire the beautiful coastal city he called his home, the stunning stark white buildings and pavements that he knew so well. He wandered towards a bridge, simply enjoying the scenery, and stopped on the side. He closed his eyes, letting himself listen to the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks far below, and feeling the coastal wind blow through his hair. He couldn't be happier to be back where he belonged.
Back in the library, a blue light surrounded the book Loezkirz had returned to the shelf, before flashing. The book disappeared, the name of the handsome young roegadyn being erased, and replaced with the name of a different hero, before appearing in another library, in another world.
The call to adventure was waiting for yet another, and the gateway was through a tome of another realm.

The McMansion Hell Big List of Books, Websites, and Films about Architecture
SURPRISE!!!!
Edit: I had to take out the “Read More” tab because it killed all of my links, so Sorry for the long post!
Hello Friends! I feel as if I haven’t really been giving back to the community as much I should be in these last few weeks, and that while my latest Sunday posts have been mildly amusing, nobody is really learning anything from them.
I shared some recommended reading on my Facebook page a week or so ago, and want to expand on that list here. Architecture is a wonderfully rich field with a plethora of resources. This post is a master-list of the architecture books, blogs, websites and films I have accumulated since my early teens.
While extensive, this is in no way a definitive list, and I’m sure many others will have quite a bit to add on in the comments. I hope you enjoy!

Don’t Hide Those Concrete Walls! Use Them in Your Home’s Interior Design
Few materials are as strong as concrete. According to the Cement Sustainability Initiative (CSI), concrete is the most used man-made material in the world. It’s used more frequently than wood, steel and other building materials. In residential settings, concrete usually isn’t exposed – except, perhaps, in a basement or garage. However, homeowners are starting to embrace the raw beauty of concrete walls in various applications.
Concrete can be smooth or porous. Image: Ashe/Getty Images
There are several ways to use concrete walls in industrial designs. “Concrete comes in a variety of colors and finishes. These start from a very smooth and almost reflective surface, which is akin to Tadao Ando’s masterpieces, through to the brutalist porous concrete which you might find in underground car parks,” explains Michael Schienke, Director and Chartered Architect at VORBILD Architecture in London. “For interior applications, the more smooth or gently porous finishes are most suitable,” he adds. “The color can be changed by adding pigments or changing the mixture ratio of the original ingredients.”

Schienke designed the concrete bathroom in the photos immediately above and below. “In this penthouse apartment in a converted church, concrete-clad bathrooms are on both sides of the new kitchen,” Schienke says. “The fully lit ceiling is made of plexiglass panels, and the walls and flooring are made of real concrete panels.”

“We have a few successful projects that involved polished concrete walls and floors in bathrooms,” Schienke says. “You install them just like marble, on reinforced walls, and as it’s a natural material, it needs to be sealed,” he explains. “They are of a timeless beauty, yet their appearance becomes that of a warm background, very stylish and sophisticated.”
Concrete is sustainable. Image: archideaphoto/Getty Images
Concrete is also a strong material, which means you won’t have to worry about decay or corrosion. It’s also non-combustible, which makes it a popular choice for fireplace surrounds. In addition, concrete is a sustainable material. According to CSI, concrete walls (and floors) reduce temperature swings by slowing the passage of heat moving through the structure. And this can, in turn, reduce your heating and cooling costs. Also, concrete is one of the most energy-efficient materials to produce, using significantly less energy than aluminum, stainless steel, steel, glass, timber and brick.
Will Concrete Walls Help or Hurt Resale Value?

John Manning, Manager Broker at RE/MAX on Market in Seattle, WA, believes that the resale value factor will depend on how and where the concrete is used. “Bare concrete is often used as a feature in ultra-modern or industrial style architecture,” he says. “Up here in Seattle, we value cozy and warm in winter, so we’re not fans of bare concrete.”
However, when concrete is properly applied, he believes that it can work. “There are many visually appealing finishes and color treatments that can be applied to concrete, and modern insulation methods allow the use of concrete with great visual appeal.”
Concrete may not appeal to everyone. Image: Jov86/Getty Images
Patrick Garrett, Broker/Realtor at H&H Realty in Trussville, AL, doesn’t think his buyers would necessarily be impressed with concrete walls. “In my opinion, concrete walls are a unique architectural feature that would only appeal to the eclectic homebuyer,” he says. “I’ve seen a few homes with concrete countertops but, again, these homes only appeal to homebuyers seeking unique or uncommon decor.”
Alternatives to Real Concrete
Concrete can be realistically imitated. Image: Asbe/Getty Images
If you love the look of concrete but you’re not sure if you want to commit to a concrete wall, there are several other options that you can try.
Concreate makes concrete panels in a variety of colors, including natural gray, metal gray and bronze gray. The panels only weigh 1.3 pounds per square foot and are 1/8” thick. Concreate panels can be applied to drywall, plywood, cement board and concrete.
ConcreteWall wallpaper is another option to consider. Made of non-woven vinyl, the wallpaper is scratch resistant and can be cleaned by washing it with a soft cloth.

Microsoft DOESN'T CARE - WAN Show Aug 16, 2019
Mac or PC, whichever one you personally prefer. You have to admit that there are advantages to the other side. Let me think about it. You simply cannot run, say, Final Cut Pro or Logic Pro on Windows and, at the same time, gaming on Mac OS Sox only there were some way that you could run both of them at near full speed simultaneously on the same PC. Oh, what's that there. I guess there is so behind me and Anthony is a machine that we call the indecision ater. It can be a Mac, it can be a PC and through some software magic it can actually be both of them at the same time as you can see right here so uh. What do you say guys? Should we walk you through how we did it and take it for a spin? I think so after this message from our sponsor Vertigo's PL 4500 RGB LED upgrade kit. Wirelessly connects to your PC and features tons of color customization options, including audio and visual sync, and more check them out at the link in the video description, [ Music ]. If you've seen any of our videos involving hackintosh virtual machines, you'll probably have some idea where we're going with this. If not, here's the twenty second version using Red, Hat's, KVM hypervisor many modern computers can actually have their resources like CPU cores system memory or even graphics cards, divide it up and then allocate it to multiple users or workloads. Using this technology you can even install two operating systems on the same computer that exists completely independently of each other, as we've done in the past. So for today's project, then we've got something really really cool for you guys. So we've taken an AMD reisen. 930. 900. X12 core processor and then what we've done is: we've split those 12 cores straight down the middle between two virtual machines that will run Windows on one side and Mac OS on the other for graphics, we've gone with an RT X, 20 atti for our windows box And a Radeon 7 for our Mac, then we've passed those graphics cards through to their respective VMs, this method of assigning our GPUs results in relatively little lost performance. So the main challenge we ran into for this project. While there were many firsts and videos, legendary code, 43 error, Nvidia, obviously doesn't like consumers running their GeForce GPUs in a VM just go out and buy a Quadro. Combating some weird stuttering in Windows was the next issue that we had to fix and we fixed that by switching to message. Signaled interrupts instead of traditional electrical line based interrupts like you'd, normally get in a processor these days or ever really and finally, getting the mac OS catalina beta to use the drivers that Apple included for virtualized storage. That last one in particular, is prop really exciting, because Apple has never supported it in the past, make sure you're subscribed, because I'm already working on convincing Linus here to let me work on a video on Mac virtualization. Once we get the Mac Pro in yeah. We'Re definitely gonna be doing that. Anywho, where things take a bit of a turn today, is how we're going to interact with our Frankenstein machine. So in the past, if you wanted to use multiple computers, you'd either have to use a hardware switcher and conveniently also call KVM multiple monitors or in the case of the LGU d 79 that we used once before. You would have to be content with 1080p quadrants of a single 16 by 9 4k display. Today. We have something quite special. This display from Phillips is the 499 p, 9 H and it's a 1440p super ultra wide display, with a double wide 32 by 9 aspect ratio, which means that what we're effectively looking at here is a bezel free single display setup where we've got the equivalent of 2 27 inch monitors side by side with no bezel in between them, so we can completely seamlessly interact with both of our VMs. How do you do that? You might be asking well well so did you do that? Yeah? This energy is still kind of trying to work out the kinks of their 2.0 release. So I decided to use a different piece of software, just kind of switched things I'll call share mouse, which has some, unfortunately, agro marketing, but hey if it works, it works and for the most part, although there are some glitches like you can see my Mac OS Cursor is actually still kind of ghosted over here there you go and you can see kind of the header of my windows cursor. For the most part it actually does work. We can move the cursor seamlessly from one of our displays over to the other, as if the imaginary line down the middle didn't exist, in fact, actually we could probably do some really cool stuff. Like pretend that the whole thing is one machine, so I actually don't know how to switch the wallpaper on a Mac, but I'm gonna go ahead and do this one nice, it's an abomination, isn't it beautiful? Oh, I like this too LTTE store.com by a water bottle. Ok, then, so we're good. Essentially, what we've got here is to rise in 5:30 600 systems, but on one machine, we're running Mac OS and, on the other, one we're running Windows with seamless Mouse movement between them, which means, if I wanted to. I could browse the Internet over here in Safari and then potentially use an Apple Magic Trackpad for gesture control. While I fire up, let's say game, like shadow of the Tomb Raider over on the other side. Wait am I just running in a circle right now? Yes, so I'm like okay, I'm bored of playing video games or whatever and I go over - and I browse the forum. Then I'm just like oh yeah, you know what I'm gonna go back to playing video games, freakin nuts yeah and you can set up a keyboard shortcut to switch automatically, so you don't need to Creole tap. We just haven't set that up yet so, let's say game play, isn't your number one priority, maybe you're a content creator like a youtuber or a twitch streamer and that's kind of more of your jam. So what you could do, then, is capture some gameplay with shadow play or OBS and then port that directly over to the Mac by dragging and dropping and there you can use that if you're more comfortable with it check this out. So I just grabbed the clip that I recorded right now, while you're talking dragged it over the middle line and loop there. It is, let's see what the back looks like boom nice just like that now doesn't copy that quickly: we're limited to about 20 megabytes. A second, so there's probably some work. The developer could do on that, but hey the footage is there now. One thing I did want to mention is that we didn't manage to login to the App Store. We think it might be something to do with our copy of Final Cut Pro being on my consumer register at Apple account and this being a developer only OS, because it's still the preview but hey. The point is, if you're comfortable, editing in Final Cut Pro, you can create your content on Windows and then you can edit it together on the Mac, and then you could log into YouTube on Windows, and you can upload it from Windows. If you wanted to pretty cool best of all, if you want, you can select just one of the VMS for full productivity, with the press of a button and another button and another button and another button, this they told us it was gonna, be just like One button to switch yeah yeah. They said that they could actually set it up to just switch by a single button. But as far as I can tell no, but it does have a KVM and that is the keyboard, video mouse rendition of KBM, so ready hat. So, what's cool about that at the very least, is that if you want to use just one set of peripherals for both of your OSS, you can by plugging in through the monitor right? Let me just switch inputs here. Obviously, I could change it to full resolution, but yeah as we can see it's being a little bit dumb and also our Mac needs to be unplugged and replugged. Sometimes, in order to pick up this yeah, that's just Apple things. I think. Okay, it's a little janky, but what's cool about our setup here is that it doesn't even have to be Windows and Mac OS. It'S just that, thanks to the Mac OS catallena beta Mac OS now supports not just virtualized storage like Anthony mentioned before that allowed us to take our single PCIe gen 4. So like this high performance, 2 terabyte SSD and split it up, but it even supports other verdi, o devices. Now so we can get access to near native speeds over the network as well. Like imagine what it would be like to take a machine like this and be able to split something like the upcoming 16 core Raisa 939 50 X, I mean, even without all the PCI Express Lanes and memory bandwidth that you could get from something like a thread. Ripper you'd be compromising very little janky NASA side with a dual setup like this, so I mean. Maybe we should come back to this concept when that launches, make sure you guys are subscribed and stay tuned, because if nothing else we'll definitely be checking out virtualization on the upcoming Mac Pro yeah and by that time I think that there's a lot more, that I Could do to smooth out the experience overall like having a virtualized 9p shared drive between the two OSS that lets it basically become a network drive that native speeds, but that's all we have time for today. So if you haven't seen it already check out our previous Mac, virtualization videos, we'll have them linked below pulse way, is a real-time, remote monitoring and management software that helps you fix problems on the go you can send commands from routerhosting any mobile device and the software is Compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux pulse way, single app gives you remote desktop functionality, so you can get access to real-time status system resources.
