also its so dumb that one of the arguments ppl have against a sims 5 is that theyve already invested too much money into 4. like yes its fucking scummy that ea charges so much for dlc and its Ludicrous the amt sims 4 costs if you have all the dlc and its going to keep getting more and more expensive but . to be honest . why are you paying for sims packs. im sry

#ik not everyone can pirate i get it and its your money do what you want #but itis your choice to invest so much into like. a sinking ship DJRNFJFNG. idk....#i want 2 be optimistic and believe that somehow they WILL be able to fix every single issue with ts4 #but i honestly believe thats require them to take an extended break from releasing new packs and shit #and i genuinely honestly dont think theyll do that. lol.#but like. i think itd be a good idea like. Cut down on new releases and focus on fixing the base game and then pack refreshes #bc itd be rly cool to have like. pack refreshes to make them more fleshed out #but also like. sigh. it rly does come down to the packs bc i judt genuinely find it kind of disgusting how little is in each pack #and how many of the packs could be consolidated #genuinely earnestly feel like growing together and parenthood shouldve been one pack. like. and honestly throw hsy in there...#hsy could do with a refresh Badd ik its fairly new but oh my god the school is so fucking buggy #and in general like. #I remember the trips thru the cathedrals most vividly from anything in. Germany #seeing “soli deo gloria 1482” etched into an upstairs wall #seeing the trinity represented in stained glass #seeing how real people made stone look like living plants and then made it part of the ceiling #watching the vaulted arch structure develop over time #going past Wernerskappelle on the river and looking straight thru the building where all the stained glass used to be #knowing they still have concerts and council meetings in that great space #seeing a rebuilt church whose stones still have scorch marks from the bombs in WWII #listing to the way the stone echoes every noise #how cool it is inside in the summer #the statue of st. bartholomew (?) tearing his cloak in half #singing Elaine Hagenburg's 'Alleluia' in the exact center of a cathedral and hearing four seconds of echo when we were done #seeing people discover how to stack rocks all the way up to heaven without them falling down #I'm not catholic but they went off with the aesthetics #the way that art and construction weren't at odds with one another #they didn't frame a house and then send in an interior decorator #the stone pillars that hold up the ceiling got carved specificaly to receive the iron that frames the stained glass windows #the amount of time and work and money and skill that went in #these masses that used to be mountains have been pulled out of the earth and thrust up again to the heights #and they are spaces of spiritual beauty #for mourning for celebrating for weddings and funerals and desperate prayers and effervescent rejoicing and faithlessness and apathy and #questions and answers and unanswered questions #a space for the worship of God's mystery #a place where my doubts are met by the God who let doubting Thomas put a hand in his side #christianity #sorry XLBN i hope this filters cortectly for you

despite the horrors of last semester one design concept that i did connect with and focus on in my work was the idea of interior landscapes and especially the idea of using volume in structure like walls and floors to carve out occupiable space and its very exciting to see elements of that in art i like

#theres a lot of really cool concepts and experimental design/art installation work that falls under 'interior landscapes'#another idea i think is really cool is ornament texture and tactile experince as biophilia for deep interior spaces #bascially symbolicly creating the experience of nature especially through touch sound and light rather than literally including plants #not really relevant to this post but i do think its really interesting and exciting #but yeah the dubai apartment as an interior landscape i love you... the level changes and wall cutouts and lack of doors #ITS AN INTERIOR LANDSCAPE!! :D #ill probably make a more polished post analysing it as a landscape with like like actual theory and reading like this is my knowledge base!#interior design on main
