COOKING WITH KITTIES ❤❤😺❤❤ My mom gave me a small 'Hunk Of Beef' the other day. Yesterday I decided to turn it into 'Roast Beef' / 'Pot Roast' / 'Beef Stew'. ❤❤🍖🥘🍖❤❤ It was kind of an tasty little suprise. I didn't really have 'Stew' or 'Pot Roast' ingredients on hand. I did have a few things & I am a full blooded Polish girl. (Part of the 3rd generation living in the 'United States'.) ❤ So I 'Put my 'Thinking Cap' on', looked around, thought for a moment, & then got to work. ❤ I love making thing like this party because they are so yummy and partly because it allows me to use up a bunch of the random odds and ends that I have around the house. I also used all kinds of things that I grew & harvested from our garden. ❤ I found more than enough ingredients to use. I put all it in one of my 'Vintage' 'Cornineware' dishes, I added some seasonings, & then popped my concoction into the oven. ❤ About 2 hours later a steamy, hot, decadent, scrumptious 'Pot Roast Stew' came out of the oven & it was simply perfection. I hadn't had any yet; but my nose told me it was perfect & a 'Polish Girl's Nose Knows When The Food Is PERFECT. ❤ The 'Hunk Of Beef' I had started with had fallen apart into the delicious 'Stew' so I didn't even have to use a knife. (Which is good because I hate slicing up roasts. It can be rough on my 'Hypermoble' 'Ehlers Danlos Syndrome' / 'EDS' fingers, wrists, and hands.) ❤❤🍖🥘🍖❤❤ The kitty-cats followed me and their noses to investigate & they were super impressed. Then we all sat down together and enjoyed a 'Scrumdiddlyumptious' meal together. 🧡❤ 'Cooking With The Kitty-cats.' ❤🧡 Sunday night (Sunday, January 23, 2022) mom, 'The Kitty-cats', Hula & Tilly', I did some 'Seasonal Cooking'. ❤ We cut up, pureed, & canned one of our 'Pumpkins'. (We still have 2 more 'Pumpkins' to can & freeze.) 🧡❤🍄🐈❤🧡 After that we cleaned off all the 'Seeds' from the GIANT 'Pumpkin' we had cut up, spread them out on a cookie sheet, 'Spiced & Seasoned' them, & put them in the oven on '125 Degrees Fahrenheit'. ❤🧡😺🐈🧡❤ Hours later we took 'The Pumpkin Seeds' out of 'The Oven'. Next, Tilly helped 'Cool Them Off' for everyone so that they would not be too hot to eat. Then..... We ate them. 😺❤ 🧡 This time we 'Spiced & Seasoned' the 'Pumpkin Seeds' with 'Sea Salt', 'Olive Oil', 'Onion Powder', & 'Garlic Powder' before baking them ❤ All I got to say is, these are the best 'Roasted Pumpkin Seeds' that any of us have ever made or tasted. I mean, they are really amazing & totally 100% 'Scrumptiously Scrumdiddlyumptious'. 🧡🧡🍄🐈🐾😺🧡🧡 I think Grandma, 'The Kitty-cats', & I deserve a 'Pat On The Back'. Good job 'Chef Kitties' & 'Honorary (Human) Chef Kitties'. You did a good job. ❤🍄 'Cooking With The Kitties.' 🍄❤ This past Thursday (January 13, 2022) was my 'Birthday'. ❤💗😺💗❤ It was cold out again & lot of people are getting sick right now so we decided to stay in. ❤ My mom has been staying here with me & since James was not out of town for work we decided to celebrate with one of my favorite 'Homemade' meals 'At Home', 'Homemade Beef Soup'. I am obsessed with 'Soup'. I even love 'Campbell's Canned Soups'; but 'Homemade Soups' are by far my favorite. ❤ Like always, Hula & Tilly Billie wanted to help. Since we decided to use the 'Instant Pot' things were really 'Easy Going'. Here is one of my 'Insta Kitty Insta Chefs', Tilly, presenting their 'Work Of Culinary Art'. ❤❤💗🍄💗❤❤ It turned out really good especially on that 'Cold, Cold, Wet, & Dreary Day'. Hula really loves this GIANT 'Goard' _ 'Squash'. ❤❤😺❤❤ We would absolutely love to dry it out like the did back in the really old days. There is a special way to set these aside so they dry out and 'Hollow Out". I learned about it when I was a 'Brownie' & a 'Girl Scout'. We used to go help at 'Cardinal Hickey's' house. Often we would pick 'Apples' or 'Guards'. One time the staff found a 'Hallow Goard' in 'The Patch' & they then told us all about the history behind it. I was mesmerized. I know my Babchi / Grandmother also used to do this with the 'Gourds' that she grew. ❤ Does anyone know how to do this? If not does anyone know any fun ways to use or cook this thing. I'd love to do something with it. The kitty-cats also really want to do something fun with it. (❤😺 'Cooking With The Kitties.' 😺❤) 'Hula & Tilly': "A mommy's job is never done so today we thought we would give her a break, take over, and make her 'Pizza For Dinner'. ❤❤🍕🐈❤❤ It was a lot of hard work and a bit messy; but the look on mommy's face when she saw what we had done was 'Purrrfectly worth all the effort and the fuss. ❤ Mommy usually makes the 'Crust' from 'Scratch'; but we are 'Kitty-Cats' and we have 'No Thumbs' so 'Kneading Dough' is a bit 'Over Our Heads' and difficult. If we ever 'Grow Thumbs' I know our 'From Scratch Cooking Skills' will greatly improve. 'All Thumbs Aside', we tried our hardest and it turned out 'MEOWnificent', mommy even said so herself as she 'Licked Her Fingers Clean'. We told you it was a messy one. We are so proud of Mommy because 'Her Grooming Skills' are improving immensely. .....and 'Come To Think' there was once a time when she didn't 'Lick Herself' at all. We showed her what to do by 'Grooming' her in the 'Tongue Bath Style' and then by showing her how to do it herself. Mommy's 'Growing Up So Fast' and she can almost do it 'All By Herself' now. We are so very 'Purrrfectly Proud' of her. 😺❤" ❤❤🍕🐈🍅🧀❤❤ Today's pizza was topped with: - 4 different kinds of 'Tomatoes' grown in our own 'Backyard Garden' - 'Fresh Basil' also grown in 'Our Garden' - 'Cheddar Cheese' - 'Fresh Mozzarella Cheese' - 'Ricotta Cheese'. - Lots of 'EXTRA Sauce' / 'Crushed Tomatoes' ❤🧀🍅🍕❤ It truly was a 'Purrrfect Combination'. ❤ In the end, Tilly is found sitting on the 'Kitchen Table' calling the family for 'Pizza'! I got a great 'Harvest' from my 'Garden' and a old friend gave me a large part of her 'Summer Harvest' because they like to share and are about to move to Florida. 🧡❤🍓🍑🍅❤🧡 Yesterday mom came over and we made two ''Homemade' 'Tomato Pies''. Part of the 'Tomatoes' were from my friend and the rest were 'My Garden' 'Heirloom Purple Tomatoes' and my 'Yellow Sugar Cube Grape Tomatoes'. ❤❤🧡🥧🍅🥧🧡❤❤ The 'Pies' turned out great and the 'Kitty-cats' were very impressed. They helped a little too; but don't worry they 'Washed Their Paws' twice really well. 😺❤ We even used my 'Fresh Basil' from my 'Herb Garden'. Happy Thanksgiving!!!!! (🧡🍁 'Cooking With The Kitties' 🍁🧡) ❤❤🍁🦃🍁❤❤ This 'Thanksgiving' we made 'Thanksgiving Pizza'! ❤❤🍁🍕🍁❤❤ We made my special 'Homemade Pizza' recipe to be precise. This 'Special Family Recipe' was first created by my father and then transformed by me into what it is today. ❤❤🦃🍕🦃❤❤ We made pizza today because we will be celebrating 'Thanksgiving' for real this Sunday. (We of course made four 'Pizza Pies' because that's how we roll. We will be enjoying this yummy pizza until it's time for 'Turkey' on Sunday. 😺❤) We wanted to make sure my mom had a 'Special Thanksgiving' since we love her and it's been a rough year. We also wanted to give my mom some time to recover and rest from her 'Heart Categorization' procedure. (It went very well. ❤❤ 'Cooking With Kitty.' ❤❤ Tonight was 'Pasta Night'!!!!!! The kitty-cats were super excited. ❤❤🍅🍄🍝🍄🍅❤❤ James and I made 'Fettuccine' with tomato basil meat and mushroom sauce. In our sauce we used fresh 90% lean ground beef, two types of mushrooms, carmelized sliced kielbasa, and fresh garlic cloves. We seasoned it with an assortment of spices, some of which included fresh basil, parsley, oregano, and wild onion sprouts plucked, picked and gathered straight from our garden. It was a beautiful use of our harvest and the fruits of out labors simmered into a most delectable decadent treat which we ate as a family for our supper. ❤❤🍎🥖🍅❤❤ We also made fresh 'Sourdough Garlic Bread' in the toaster oven as a side. I think for now on we will always serve 'Sourdough Bread' with our Italian dishes or with any other meal that one may want to accompany with fresh bread. ❤❤🍝❤❤ To reward Hula and Tilly for all their help and assistance while making this dish we let them have a small serving all of their own. They were so good and they didn't steal any food whike we cooked. They even washed their hands (and feet / all 4 paws) not once but twice, just like my mommy / their grandmother taught us to do. As I said, they were super excited about preparing and cooking this meal with us, and so they wanted to do it all just right.
