" well , when one door closes another one opens , or ... whatever they say . " maybe that was a little harsh to say but sutton wasn't completely heartless . she felt bad about holland . she felt bad about the decision to taking time off and shifting other clients around but that was where sutton came in and where she planned to shine . " the show must go on . "

Starter for @emotionlcss featuring Chester and Sutton
The small motel had pretty much been a godsend - if Ches believed in that sort of thing. It was small, tucked out of the way, and essentially deserted. The perfect place to hide out until some of the heat on him died down. What he hadn't been expected was the woman who seemed to keep popping up. He'd learned that her parents were the ones who ran the place. At least she was easy on the eyes, even if she did ask too many questions. He sat outside his room, inhaling on the cigarette, before blowing it out to the side, turning to see her approaching, the slightest smirk finding his lips. "Ain't ya ever got anything better ta do love?" he teased as he pulled in another drag.

You'd probably be the one to hear about all of them first, with your time at the school. But with it changing all the time, I don't think you could ever quite grasp the slang, is what I mean. And no kidding! Haven't even seen the movies? I think it's having quite the comeback, I guess things always loop back around to what was cool a decade ago. But maybe having the resurgence of it all through a literary reference or something else makes it feel like it wasn't that long ago? Or at least that's my experience.
I’m online when I need to be? I don’t really keep up with those trends. I do hear about them enough because I spend the majority of my day at school. That is a good point, and I do appreciate a good literary reference. While I’m only familiar with Twilight because of the apparent life-changing revolution in school, I’ve never read the book. It just feels like saying the 1900s means it was so long ago.

Just her luck. She'd been holding a vase she had just bought at the store when a bicyclist had raced past her on the sidewalk. With her heart beating in her throat, she realised that she had dropped the vase, shattered across the ground and with a groan, she bent down to gather the broken pieces, making sure the large shards were gone. "Careful, there's glass right there." She signaled a blonde woman making her way over, pointing at a shard beneath her feet. "Glad to see children still bike over the sidewalk here, huh?" @savvy-sutton

Lailah blinked, a bit taken aback by Sutton’s surprise. "I know, I know, it’s kind of a crime, right?" she admitted with a sheepish grin. "I’ve heard so much about it, but I just never got around to watching it." She could see the excitement in Sutton’s eyes and couldn’t help but laugh. "Okay, okay, you’ve convinced me. I’m down for a binge-watch session. Just let me know when, and I’ll be there. But you’ve got to promise to fill me in when I have a thousand-and-one questions about the lore, deal?"
"What?!" Sutton asked, surprise upon her face as she turned toward Lailah. "You've really never seen Avatar the Last Airbender? Well we've got to change that. You're going to start coming over to mine and Taelyn's and we're going to all binge watch Avatar. I can't believe you haven't seen it. It's like the best show ever."

resident suttard anon here! just checking in to let you know the ending is worth it, imo. it's a little on the rushed side, given the short short short season. but they did the best they could - which is really all we could've hoped for, given the mess they made. i hope you get to check it out. :)
resident suttard anon! your messages always make me smile. i so appreciate you giving me a heads up, but i actually watched the series finale in real time last night and i’m glad that i did. it was far from perfect, but at least we know for sure that sutton got her happy ending with the love of her life. in my head, she will continue her therapy and her healing and become the lead stylist at scarlet. i’m gonna miss our girl so much! 💜🥺

' something wrong , officers ? ‘ sutton asked sweetly enough and even had a smile to go right along with it . she was used to the stares by now , the off handed comments by both law enforcement and others lawyers that she saw in the court room . it was just an average day to sutton . ‘ is it the cleavage or are you just extra happy to see me today ? ‘ sutton didn’t expect an answer not really and she seemed to look away when the bell on the door rang , pulling her attention away for a moment . ‘ enjoy yourselves , ‘ she hummed , tapping the top of the table they were sitting at as she stepped back , planning to head to the counter to put in her own order . ‘ you deserve it . ‘

Sutton wasn’t expecting visitors when the nurse came in telling them someone was waiting for them in the common area. Fane had left not too long ago and they weren’t expecting Leo until later. They didn’t think anybody else wanted to visit them. Just because they thought that didn’t mean it wasn’t true apparently. Fane had told them a lot of people at school were worried. The number of random people coming through was a bit surprising to say the least.
Leaving their room wasn’t something they like to do. Sutton didn’t like to think of themself as sick, like all the other patients. It made their skin crawl. It didn’t matter that they were sick, just like all of the other patients. Being locked up in a mental ward wasn’t a feeling they liked. Wrapping Fane’s sweater tigher around themself, they walked into the common area, prepared to face some random kid who felt guilty about them being in there. Their attitude changed when they saw Win sitting by himself in a chair by the door.
“I didn’t think you’d come up to see me.” They tried to smile as they walked over to him.

"He's the worst. Can't stand him, honestly." Andrew joked, though knew that Dean was more a brother to him than a friend. He had four brothers, yet Dean just fit right in like he had known him since childhood. Yet there had been topics he wouldn't initiate, one of them being his brother. It had been mentioned once in a conversation when Dean had been genuinely upset and spilled about his past. From what Dean said he sounded amazing, yet to hear the blonde confirm it only verified it. He wasn't going to tell her that Dean had compared him with his brother, however. It didn't matter anyway. "Dean told me a little. He sounds like he was a good person to know, I'm sorry for your loss." He said instead, opening the door so they could move inside. "Lets get you something to ice that foot. How about we sit you down over there in that booth?" @savvy-sutton
Savannah wasn't surprised that Dean's new best friend had been the one to come to her rescue today. He had a knack for finding the best people in the place he lived and surrounding himself with goodness. "Well then you must know what a pain in the ass he is." She joked and wondered how much he knew about Dean's past and her, and his family. But that question was brought to light quickly when he asked about Shane. She paused for a moment and nodded her head solemnly. "I did. He was like a big brother to me too. One of the best people I've ever known my whole life, god rest his soul." She wasn't religious but growing up in the south came with a few little tendencies and once of them was to bless the souls of those dearly departed.

( CLOSED STARTER. ) ↪ sutton reyes @seattlites
Was sleep really necessary? Lucy was starting to think that it wasn’t. She’d been really spending a majority of her time at the hospital as of late. Between patients she was too concerned about to leave and the fact that Garrett had been relatively unresponsive, Lucy had just decided to throw herself into work. One of her patients had been moved to Peds after birth, although she was still a doctor on his case. After checking on the infant, she made her way out to the nurses station to leave a few notes. “Hey.” She said with a polite smile to the woman standing behind the desk. “Do you mind updating Baby Green’s medication dosage?” She slid a chart over the counter, stifling a yawn as she did. “Sorry.” Lucy covered her mouth, shaking it off. “Long day.” She shrugged, realizing she didn’t know this particular nurse. “I’m Dr. Fields, by the way. Lucy. Sorry, I should have started with that. I don’t think we’ve met.”

Seth found himself at a table hanging around with some other members when he sees the giant and his wife arrive. The giant comes over to the table and Seth waves to the couple, peering at their costumes. “Think I know this one,” he points at Sutton’s outfit. He’s pretty sure he saw it in one of the movies that Emme’s daughter, Beth, used to make him watch. “Y’all got a night out on the town, baby-free? Guess they gotta let you out once in a while.”

A kid-free night is something that Rowan is very grateful to have. Of course, she’s looking forward to the following night when she hauls the kids out trick or treating but for now she’s happy to enjoy a night of drinking, dancing and conversations with people who know words with more than three syllables. Or, at least, the last two. In solidarity with her husband, Rowan is going about the night stone cold sober, something she doesn’t really mind. “Look at you,” she greets as she finds Sutton in the crowd. Despite the costume, she recognizes the other easily. “God. Please tell me you’re wearin’ that tomororw, too. Benny’s going to be enthralled with you. I’m pretty sure Jessie is his first love.” To say her son is obsessed with Toy Story would be an understatement.

"Can you?" She asks, genuinely interested. "I've always thought they were a total scam, anyone who won was a fluke." But now that she thinks about it that wouldn't really make sense, no one would play. She pushes off where she'd been leaning, moving to stand beside Georgia. "70/30 at least. Maybe even 80/20. You try that one up in the far corner yet?"
"Well, sure." She started, "but usually you can skill yourself out of the rig." If you were actually good at it, the ones that seemed the hardest weren't as hard as advertised, at least that how Georgia fell about it. "But like--" the brunette continued, "if those damn things don't have something inside the bottle to keep the little balls from going in." She huffed, but continued down the same path, she had a bad of 2 dozen game balls, she wasn't gonna not toss them. "Whats your bet, 70/30? Mostly filled up?"

Although Izzy considered Sutton one of her closer friends, there’s a part of her that is jealous of what she has. Then again, Izzy is jealous of most of her friends for some reason or another. It was a toxic trait, yes, but was Izzy going to do anything to change it? No. So instead, she would end up knocking on Sutton’s door to come have some time in her house with her kid, her dog and her husband puttering around somewhere. On occasion, Izzy takes the woman out, reminding her how to be lively and untethered. Although, it rarely works for long since Izzy ends up hearing Sutton calling Maddox a few drinks later. It’s fun though. Today is one of those days, however, that she comes bursting through the woman’s office, her adrenaline thumping through her veins. It was over. It was finally fucking over. Well, in two weeks. “Sutton whatever your middle name is Hart, I need you to stop whatever the fuck you’re doing right now,” she says, standing in the doorway of her office, having practically sprinted through the lobby and past a confused Maddox Hart. “Guess what the fuck happened.”

“I’ll be honest after how busy this week has been I needed this more than I knew.” Taking another drink from her beer before she placed it back down on the bar top. “Have things been busy for you or is everything kinda chill?” She asked, she ran a hand through her long dark hair. “I could probably use a tattoo or two when we both get a moment free.”
