I’ve been thinking about Descole’s butler Raymond a lot… Do you think he ever felt guilty for being unable to stop Descole’s descent towards destruction? If we go off of the theory that Raymond used to be a part of Targent, maybe he had accidentally enabled Descole to go on this path, and once he realized it, it was too late…

Ok seriously tho, I've been thinking about it, Aym and Baal wouldn't wield the crown. Only the crown bearer can do that, and unless Narinder dies or lends it to someone else himself, the red crown will be in it's "fuck you you're not my dad" era. Its still connected to him, just inaccessible at the moment

i headcanon crown to be sentient tho, so i think it while it wouldn't be worn by either of the kids, it WOULD try to help figure out whats up with daddy kity and what to do (after a bit of brooding in the corner)

Throughout the thing, the kids would be trying to contact narinder and find him, and later on help in any way (realms away zoom calls are gonna go crazy bro, dont leave your cat kids unsupervised bros)

I think the show has a good narrative set up to dodge around Disney censorship while also telling an emotionally satisfying story.

If the core thrust of the season is for Agatha, "the covenless witch," to heal the primal wound of that rejection/trauma and have a coven again, then there's already something delightfully queer about that as a journey toward growth, yeah? An all female coven is kind of inherently queer and socially stigmatized due to that.

And if, at the same time, Rio turns out to have been trying to help (in her oblique way) and she and Agatha still clearly have feelings for each other -- sexy feelings, both passionately aggro and otherwise -- then that can be the great queer subtext that plays into that resolution and allows for us to spin things off further in fanfic and fanart.

It sucks that Disney is a monopoly and that artists have to work within their boundaries in order to have a job, but I think there's the potential to play with those boundaries and still do something good with BOTH explicitly canon queer characters and queer coding/intentional subtext for the main character.

That is what I see as a very real possibility, given both the narrative so far and the limits I'm aware of from Disney. Is it my ideal? No. But we do not live in an ideal world and the artists are not working under the conditions they wish they could. It is what it is.

I hate it here sm

#i have a scheduled phone call with my employment agency person later this afternoon #and i already know i'm going to cry #not because of the phone call per se but just the fact that i have to do business with them in the first place #i don't care if someone else is unemployed or why they are unemployed. it is not my place to judge anyone for not working #but for me myself and i personally? it is so humiliating. the ultimate personal failure #i am so ashamed for not being good enough to have a job #even if i know i'm not being fair on myself bc the reason my contract will not be renewed isn't bc i wasn't doing my job well enoug #it's just that they literally don't have work for me to do when the other person returns 🤷‍♀️#in any case i find it so unfair from the universe that i was working so hard all winter and then the reward i get is full-time unemployment #again!!!!!!!#there's so much more that i could say about this but i don't need y'all to know just how pathetic i really am
