There are three pillars to the Sussexes’ faux-royal tours: 1) they want to travel, 2) someone (currently Invictus) is willing to foot the bill, and 3) countries are willing to host them.
#1 is very unlikely to change. #2 changing would require them to drastically decrease in marketability (for brands) or fundraising ability (for charities). #3 changing would probably require the UK taking a stronger stance on the matter—but they’re probably not going to risk their diplomatic relations to restrict the Sussexes.
My guess, especially with what we know of their Netflix and Spotify deals, Archewell’s troubles, and Invictus floating the idea of other patrons (like Mike Tindall, is that #2 will be the first to flounder.
You have a good theory, anon. There is one tiny flaw, though - that it presumes the Sussexes are fundraising for the charities paying for their travel. They aren't. It's PR and attention, which the charity uses to turn around and fundraise/profit for themselves.
These charities/companies/countries are sponsoring the Sussexes' fauxyal tours because of the attention they bring. Good attention, bad attention, it doesn't matter. These people want the spotlight so they can turn around and use it for their own purposes and Harry and Meghan are bringing the spotlight. They're equally using each other. Sometimes Harry and Meghan come out on top (like with Invictus Games) but sometimes the other entity (like Nigeria) wins.
Once the Sussexes can't bring headlines and attention anymore, the charities/companies/countries will drop them. That's why the Sussexes hate being grey-rocked; because they know when people don't care, they can't get attention and when they can't get attention, they lose money. But hate them, like them, love them, you're clicking on their stories, you're engaging with their content, you're giving them attention.

@kaiasky yeah i think this is why so much actual paid commission work (writing for content farms, etc) seems to be done by people working in Nigeria or India, at least, based on the dialects that those websites were always written in pre-chatGPT it seems like that's who's writing it.
But unlike content farms where the goal is to churn out a large amount of low-quality content at high quantity, there's almost no demand for fandom commissions and an artificially high supply of labor due to all extremely talented Western teenagers/college students who are willing to produce high-quality work for well below minimum wage even for a Nigerian, both because they're supported by their parents and because they can't charge any more for commissions without pricing out most of the people who would pay them for fanart commissions, leaving them with no commissions whatsoever.
And also on top of that, art is skilled labor at least in the sense that it requires you to develop skills on your own time without compensation before you can get paid at all. So unless the Nigerians working in content farms are also talented fanartists as a hobby on their own, they'd have to forgo quite a lot of income learning how to draw well enough to get paid to even enter that worse-compensated, less stable market.

Do you know that the only thing better than Money in the business world is more MONEY? Every business needs money to remain in business, a business that cannot sell, will definitely suffer or smell.
Money is a medium of exchange that people use to buy and sell goods and services, and to pay back loans. It can also be used as a unit of account, or a common base for prices
Part of the ways to generate more money seemlessly, even while you sleep is to invest in real estate and other genuine business. #money #business #sales

Ads containing abortion-related misinformation are allowed to run on Facebook and Instagram in countries across Asia, Africa, and Latin America, while legitimate health care providers struggle to get theirs approved, new research has found.
The report, released today from the Center for Countering Digital Hate and MSI Reproductive Choices, an international reproductive health care provider, collected instances from across Vietnam, Nepal, Ghana, Mexico, Kenya, and Nigeria. Between 2019 and 2024 in Ghana and Mexico alone, researchers found 187 antiabortion ads on Meta’s platforms that were viewed up to 8.8 million times.
Many of these ads were placed by foreign antiabortion groups. Americans United for Life, a US-based nonprofit whose website claims that abortion pills are “unsafe and unjust,” and Tree of Life Ministries, an evangelical church now headquartered in Israel, were both linked to the ads. Researchers also found that ads placed by groups not “originating in the country where the ad was served were viewed up to 4.2 million times.”
In the report, researchers found that some of the ads linked out to websites like Americans United for Life, whose website describes abortion as a “business” that is “unsafe” for women. The abortion pill is widely considered safe and is less likely to cause death than both penicillin and Viagra. Other ads, like one run by the Mexican group Context.co, linked to a Substack dedicated to the topic that implied there is a secret global strategy to manipulate the Mexican populace and impose abortion on the country.
One ad identified in Mexico alleged that abortion services were “financed from abroad … to eliminate the Mexican population.” Another warned that women could suffer “severe complications” from using the abortion pill.
Meta spokesperson Ryan Daniels told WIRED that the company allows “posts and ads promoting health care services, as well as discussion and debate around them,” but that content about reproductive health “must follow our rules,” including only allowing reproductive health advertisements to target people above the age of 18.
“This is money that Meta is taking to spread lies, conspiracy theories, and disinformation,” says Imran Khan, CEO of the Center for Countering Digital Hate.
In these countries, where Meta often has partnerships with local telecom companies that allow users to access its platforms for free, Facebook is a key source of information. Some of these ads also ran on Instagram. “Anybody with a cell phone can access information. People use it to find services. When we ask clients, how did you hear about us? a lot of them will cite Facebook, because they live on Facebook. It's where they know to search for information,” says Whitney Chinogwenya, marketing manager at MSI Reproductive Choices. So when disinformation runs rampant on the platform, the impact can be widespread.
“Good health information saves lives. By actively aiding the spread of disinformation and suppressing good information,” Khan says, “[Meta is] literally putting lives at risk in those countries and showing that they treat foreign lives as substantially less important to them than American lives.”
Many of the countries impacted by this report also have high maternal mortality rates, making access to reproductive services particularly crucial. In Nepal, for instance, there are 239 maternal deaths per 100,000 live births, as opposed to only 32 in the United States. In Ghana, it’s even higher: 319 deaths per 100,000 live births. This comes as the US continues to grapple with the implications of the 2022 Supreme Court decision that struck down Roe v. Wade. On Tuesday, the US Supreme Court heard oral arguments on a milestone abortion case that will determine access to the abortion pill across the country. These laws and policies in the US are often fodder for those seeking to roll back abortion rights elsewhere in the world.
These findings are not the first instances of right-wing groups using social media to promote antiabortion messaging abroad. In 2022, the Spanish far-right group CitizenGo orchestrated a disinformation campaign on Twitter to rebrand a reproductive health bill focused on regulating surrogacy as an “abortion bill.” (The legislation did not address abortion.) A 2023 report from Amnesty International also cited social media as a key way that antiabortion groups disseminate their messaging and target reproductive-health workers.
The report also found that the problem extends beyond just abortion. In one instance, Meta removed one MSI Reproductive Choices ad for cervical cancer screenings in Nepal, saying it involved “sensitive information.” Another ad promoting breast cancer awareness in Ghana was also flagged, as was one in Kenya providing information on vasectomies.
After trying and failing to place ads on Meta’s platforms in Nepal and Vietnam, MSI’s local accounts were restricted from placing any further ads, forcing the organization to start new ones. “But of course, it doesn't have as much audience as we did on the original page,” Chinogwenya says.
Glenn Ellingson, a former Meta employee who worked on civic misinformation, tells WIRED that there are several factors that might lead to an ad being rejected from the platforms, including if it’s targeting a group considered “sensitive,” particularly in an automated system.
“When you’re operating at the scale Meta is at, there are always going to be errors,” he says, adding that greater investment in humans who could review and flag content would likely help the platform distinguish between content that violates its policies and content that doesn’t.

In Chile, why did the implementation of neoliberalism facilitate VPS practices?
“ The implementation of neoliberalism could not have been carried out without a shock, as Naomi Klein suggests, which would dismantle relational ecosystems anchored in popular identity associated with the collective and a society in which certain rights were assumed as one's own and won. A society that struggled between reform and revolution, and that had communities and collectivities at its center as a way of resolving conflicts. This shock, to which Chilean society is subjected, is state terrorism and the VPS plays a fundamental role in it, the imposition of power and a particular social organization through sexual violence on bodies. To subdue the social body and terrorize it, it was necessary to degrade, use, abuse and violate sexualized and sexualized bodies, a pedagogy of horror, which based on a patriarchal sex-gender system, uses techniques and technologies on bodies to 'return popular sectors and especially women to their historical place. In turn, neoliberalism uses these techniques again when it feels cornered, which also function as adjustment techniques for neoliberalism, ensuring its sustainability.”
In your opinion, what is the influence of patriarchy and market logic on these events?
“ I believe that sexual violence is at the base of the patriarchal organization, let’s say that it is like its philosopher’s stone, the hierarchical binarism and the appropriation of the body of the feminized is its deepest structure. In the logic of the market, there is an author that I like a lot called Roswitha Scholz, she says in one of her texts that the value is the man, she argues that the fundamental contradiction of the socialization of value between matter (content) and form (abstract work) is determined by gender in a specific way. She calls it the commodity-producing patriarchy. From this point of view, masculine rationality and therefore its praxis is in the DNA of the capitalist market. Marx’s classic formula is nothing other than a masculine rational abstraction: competition, exploitation, conquest, destruction, are at the practical and relational base of this formula. Note that when I refer to masculine I am not saying men, but the cultural, symbolic-practical apparatus of the masculine.”
She points out that "the relationship between armed conflicts and sexual violence is long-standing." She mentions, for example, the kidnapping of Shibox by Boho Hoha, a terrorist group in Nigeria, which accounts for hundreds of girls who were raped. Are these situations that we are exposed to that are repeated?
“ Certainly, as long as we do not transform the prevailing sex-gender system and with it the mode of production and reproduction in which they mesh, we will be exposed again and again in history to this type of event.”
How can victims continue their lives after the atrocities they have suffered?
“ I don’t think it’s a question I should answer, but there are key elements that we can contribute as a society, for example, ending so much impunity is essential and finding equivalent forms of reparation, even if only in part, for so much damage. It is also important to re-validate and value, by demystifying political binarisms, the dreams and hopes of the people who gave their lives for a profound social transformation, whose focus was on the well-being of society.”
It has just been 50 years since the coup d'état... is reconciliation possible?
“There is no possibility of reconciliation with the aggressors without reparation that is equivalent to the damage, and for this, truth and justice are essential, as well as the end of denialism. On the other hand, it is essential to move towards more just, equitable and less violent societies, for this, a radical change in our subjectivities is essential, as well as reformulating the productions of competitive, aggressive, violent individualist neoliberal desire.”
After reading Nieves Ayress Moreno's testimony, how can society recover from this barbarity?
“ I think it is essential to revisit our history to understand the mechanisms that move and push the production of individuals willing to carry out and plan such atrocities, to create strategies for transformation. I think that art, music, science with a focus on society and not on the abstract needs of the market. Collective work, whether in the neighborhood, networks of friends, social, with common purposes, is essential to trust in what is mutual and to give us back something of another form of humanity that was taken from us as a society.”
What consequences has it left in Chilean society that have not been overcome?
“ It installed techniques and technologies of repression that are reused from time to time in the adjustments of neoliberalism, we have for example in 2011 and 2019 where these techniques were used as tactics of repression and terror. Again to dismantle the collective by installing fear. With this, impunity stands as the historical spectre, which constantly haunts us. In addition to neoliberalism, which has deeply affected our ways of relating and our subjectivation, decomposing and atomizing us superlatively as individuals in competition, with levels of inequality so brutal that they are the cradle of the explosion of various forms of crime and various forms of violence that have us living in a constant implosion.”
Personally, how did this research impact you?
“ I remember that there were nights when I was writing or reading testimonies and I couldn’t bear the helplessness, and I would stop writing or reading to cry buckets. I think that anger, pain and helplessness are the emotions that accompanied me for a large part of the research, and I also had to put it aside on several occasions, because it was so emotionally exhausting. The exhausting certainty that those who orchestrated this horror and this model have a historical debt with the generations who suffered the barbarity firsthand and with those of us who today suffer the daily attacks of neoliberalism, especially if you are a woman, a dissident, or part of the children or youth who live in this country. And I say exhausting because you only see that the consequences of the model are deepening. This research reaffirmed my political position in society, and my role as a professor and researcher.”
Finally… are we condemned to be Cains to each other, over and over again?
“ Within patriarchal colonial capitalism, yes, we are condemned, and what is happening with the growing drug violence in Latin America shows this. But this system is never total, there are always spaces for fissures, and it is in these fissures and contradictions that we can imagine, project and create other possible worlds, other policies and social relations of production and reproduction.”

Urch Raymond Unveils ‘Ifunanya’.
Tumblr media
After a successful release of his debut Album in 2023, Recording Gospel Music Minister and Worshipper Urch Raymond has released another sensational single titled: 'Ifunaya'. The single was released in September 2024, and has been trending since its release.
Urch Raymond who won the Artiste of the Year Award at the JMAF Awards in 2023 in Nigeria, and at the same time won the Song of the year with the single 'Align', has been on the spotlight in the music industry after winning the coveted awards. When Artistes make their works unique and assiduously bring out the best from their art, then, proceed to the extent that they become very recognized, the spotlight stays long on them to keep delivering!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Urch didn't disappoint fans in this new project! At first, the song has a romantic title which made fans suggest it's a love song, but looking closely 'Ifunaya' is an offshoot of his debut album 'Intimacy', since intimacy's biggest language is love.
'Ifunaya' in the Igbo language means love. Although the love here is the relationship between a Worshipper and his God.
The song is replete with aesthetics, both sound and lyrical depth. The instrumentation is world class, its not surprising since it was produced by Dr. Nezer the man behind the award-winning 'ALIGN' sound. The producer knows what is at stake from a Recording Artiste whose spotlight is still on him, and, he didn't disappoint. The song also appeals to the local content audience which will help its marketing, since the diction has pidgin and English languages admixed.
Tumblr media
Among contemporary gospel music Worshippers, Urch is setting the stage for a global music ministry because of his taste for music that will stand the test of time, and, 'Ifunaya' has built another bridge that will lead the Artiste to his destination!

Also, you wouldn't tell by the name, but Crusader Kings III is perhaps one of the most culturally diverse games I've ever played, you can literally play any character from Al-Andalus to India and from Scandinavia to Nigeria. People complain that the vanilla map is shallow (which shows you how spoiled Paradox gamers are, as the level of detail and content surpasses literally any other game in the market) but with some mods like RICE, I've learned about some cultures and religions I didn't even know existed.
If I could go back in time and show it to my 10 years old Age of Empires obsessed self, he would have gone literally insane, I don't think he would have recovered.

social media management agency in nigeria
Whether you're a newcomer to social media or have an established presence, understanding your social media management and marketing goals is crucial. It sets the foundation for your strategy and helps you connect with your target audience authentically. Let's explore three essential foundations for a successful social media marketing strategy:
1. Define Your Audience:
Identifying your target audience is the first step towards building meaningful relationships and conversions. By understanding your product or service, you can determine the ideal audience for it. Through various exercises, your key demographic will emerge. Armed with this knowledge, you can then focus on capturing their attention through your content.
2. Create Shareable Content:
Engaging, entertaining, and informative content tends to be shareable among your audience. Although it's challenging to predict the exact number of shares a post will receive, keeping your content fresh and captivating can lead to higher engagement. Encouraging people to share and making the process easy also boosts the likelihood of content being shared.
3. Platform-Specific Nuances:
Each social media platform has its own unique nuances, and adapting your content to suit these differences is essential. For example, Twitter thrives on humor, and using memes and gifs can add personality to your brand. On Instagram, high-quality photos, videos, and carousels tend to attract more attention. Tailoring your content and communication style to match the platform's audience helps you connect better, increase brand awareness, and build brand trust.
In conclusion, maintaining a successful social media presence involves more than simply posting daily. Understanding your audience and crafting a narrative that resonates with them is vital. If you find managing your social media challenging, considering the services of a reliable social media management agency like Pulse can be beneficial. Pulse, as a leading agency in Nigeria, has experience and expertise in managing social media platforms for prominent African brands and a massive following on their owned platforms. For inquiries about social media management and potential collaborations for your brand, you can reach out to them via email at [email protected] or contact them at:
