FJSJDB. i'm imagining luz never even, like, trying to sell camila on hunter being human. at first it doesn't even occur to her that she'd need to explain his appearance, because she's grown up in a society where it's her own ears that need constant explanation. and then she's like well. mami hasn't asked and i kind of really don't want to talk about it
so hunter makes the human language comment & it isn't even really a slip-up. and camila pauses and then is like "okay, i'm just going to come right out and ask. hunter. ARE you human??"
and hunter is like "n... no....?"

every day i live with the guilt of when i left a mixed review on an ebay sellers page because i was young and didnt know ebay etiquette and the seller begged me to take it down and that theyd give me a full refund but i couldnt get ebay to remove it. i was their only non positive review i legitimately damaged that smallscale sellers business and it was over something that wasnt a big deal 😭😭😭 genuinely think im a horrible person over this sometimes
#it was a tamagotchi that arrived in worse condition than indicated (but like. it was fine it was just some minor cosmetic stuff)#it looked cleaner in the photos and didnt mention any of the damage so i was like#oh guess i should just leave a little honest review like `shipped fast and works great#has damage that was not indicated` or something#the seller was so distressed and so sorry (which they had absolutely no need to be)#god it haunts me to this day im so careful leaving reviews now and would NEVER give a non positive without contacting the seller first#this is a psa.
