Man, I really need to start writing for the other fandoms again on this blog.

Ayaka must have been lucky, the only way to stave off S/O's habit of not sleeping was to be cuddled close into them.

Ayaka has zero issue in helping her S/O sleep, especially in such an intimate manner.

Though her face is flushing red, she still can't help but let her smile go ear to ear, hugging S/O close.

She nuzzles her head underneath their chin, listening to their heartbeat and not wanting to miss a single beat.

(Ayaka) "Good night, my love.~"

Clorinde can't help but hesitate whenever S/O gives her a hug, being unused to such intimacy.

But it doesn't take long for her to enjoy the feeling of their warmth, though her hands are usually gently caressing theirs instead of any grandiose display of affection.

And when she learned that S/O slept better when she held them, Clorinde decided that her embarrassment was a small price to pay for her love.

Making sure to not smother them they were comfortable, she lets their head rest on her chest as she sighs in content.

(Clorinde) "Sleep well, S/O. And...should you need me to move, please let me know."

Arlecchino usually had no trouble sleeping herself, but S/O did.

At first she was half tempted to wish them luck in falling asleep and leaving them be, but she wasn't that cruel.

Usually.

She can't always be home for S/O to hold them, but she indulges them whenever she is, still unused to this kind of intimacy from...well, anyone.

Her grip is tight, as her blackened fingers ruffle the back of their head, holding them close to her.

(Arlecchino) "I cannot guarantee that your dreams will be entirely pleasant near me but...I wish you a good night regardless, S/O."

Shenhe nearly crushes S/O's ribcage when she learned that they slept better with her nearby.

The tighter she hugged, meant the better they slept, right?

She lets go and makes sure she didn't cut off their blood circulation and nods to herself.

Shenhe still holds S/O tight, but makes sure they could at least breathe. This was something she both enjoyed and had zero issue in helping.

(Shenhe) "Let me know immediately if you need to breathe."

Edelgard's hugging strength is pretty damn strong anyways, but especially at night.

The nightmares still haunt her even so many years later, and even as Emperor.

Yet, when S/O was so close, the nightmares ceased.

At least in private, Edelgard doesn't hesitate to hug S/O tightly, breathing easy.

For now, she could just enjoy this moment and not have to think about her duties. Just her lover.

(Edelgard) "...Thank you, S/O."

Dorothea is openly affectionate with everything, including hugs.

And it absolutely warmed her heart to know that even that simple act could make S/O sleep with ease.

Zero hesitation and worry, Dorothea gladly takes S/O into her arms as she lays down on the bed, humming a tune to herself in a psuedo-lullaby.

Though, she expects the same to be done for her. If she pampered S/O like this, then it's only right they did the same for their darling singer.

(Dorothea) "Good night, my dear.~"

Constance scoffs at any notion of such affection displayed so easily!

She absolutely was not embarrassed that S/O felt comfortable by her hugs, dispel that thought!

After all, such effects were only natural when receiving it from a Nuvelle!

Pompousness aside, the blush that creeps onto her cheeks are always burning bright whenever S/O falls asleep thanks to her hold, making her mutter something under her breath.

(Constance) "...I hope I'm at least comfortable for you, S/O...N-NOTHING! I SAID NOTHING! RETURN TO SLUMBER!"

Laura is always at risk of snapping S/O like a toothpick with her hugs, but luckily she knows how to control her strength.

It makes her heart skip a beat whenever S/O got close to her in general, but doubly so when they shared a bed.

And whenever she hugged them, it never failed to make her smile to see how quickly they fall asleep thanks to her.

Especially with how tightly she was being hugged as well.

(Laura) "Hm, sweet dreams, S/O."

Towa pouts for a moment since she was supposed to be the one providing the hugs, yet here she was, completely engulfed by S/O's arms.

She's hugging them as tightly as she can, yet she felt like it was nothing compared to S/O's own vice grip.

With her head barely coming up to their chest, she pouts to herself in the darkness.

(Towa) sigh "I feel like a teddy bear right now..."

Elliot is a little nervous sharing a bed with his S/O, especially knowing they struggled to sleep easily.

But it quickly fades when he notices that his presence helps them fall asleep, doubly so when he hugs them.

His cheeks warm up but he can't help but let out a soft chuckle and hugs them with his hesitation quickly rocketing away.

Making sure his hair wasn't getting into their face, Elliot holds S/O's waist closer to him, resting his head against theirs.

Yuri: politics, he ran for local office once to prove a point(point not proven) and won due to a combination on immutable charisma and unrealistically radical policies, ever since then he has just continued on cause he likes helping people and it keeps working

Constance: surgeon, she likes cutting people up. She thinks that if magic were real she could definitely find a way to turn different organs into different candies. She doesn’t really understand why that always pops into her head, but she does keep a list of what organs would be what candies. Hapi found it once and said nothing but made this face: 😳

Balthus: pro wrestler, he is good at the campy acting part and really likes the singlets(who doesn’t). His singlet has yuri’s face on it(not sponsored he just likes supporting his friends)

Hapi: used to work in the coffee shop below their apartment(they are all roommates) but balthus bought it for her with his pro wrestling money, so now she owns it. She turned it into a local art gallery. She spreads yuri propaganda.

First! We have Constance von Nuvelle. Everyone should know at this point how much I love her and relate to her. She is so Babygirl. A genius before her time. I love writing her i love drawing her i love cosplaying her. One day I will learn how to speak in a voice that sounds like her and when that day comes I will have reached immortality.

Then! Let's go with Hubert von Vestra!! He is adorable and clever and I love myself a tricky man. He will do almost anything for those he cares about. He has a cute brooding thing going on. I like his little hair horns!!! And his way of speaking is lovely to write. I love to write him love to draw him love to put him in awkward or traumatic situations. 10/10

I also love Yuri Leclerc!! He is so smart and tricky and pretty and his combat style is really fun to write. Love his loose ponytail. Love his street smarts. Also love that he hates Hubert and likes to tease Constance. He's so funny all the time aND HIS POINTY SHOES ARE 10/10 BY THEMSELVES

Then outside of fe3h we have Killian Lu!! He is a true Babygirl. He uses magic built on WORDS how cool is THAT. It's so fun to write because I can do magic with poetry and insults!!!!! He's so cool and skilled and smart but he has literally no friends. Like at all. But he deserves them and he deserves a break and he deserves to be adopted by Dina who is another blorbo of mine and omg she is so precious. Literally just says whatever comes to mind at any point in time. A literal plant girl who's trying to find friends but fails time and time again. She brews various types of tea with interesting effecta and her humor is Spot On. Love Dina and Killian together they are literally perfect together, as friends or otherwise.

And then there's Kazuma Asogi!!! Also hella cool. He knows what he's talking about and he says it well. Everyone wants to be him, including me. How is he so cool. I want constant wind in my hair too. Also SPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSBUTHELOOKSSOGOODINAMASKHHHHHNNNNGH

His name is Lukas and he is the 11th Hresvelg child, but he was brainwashed and memory-wiped by Thales so he thinks he's an Agarthan named Lysias. And also he has parts of Nemesis inside of his body. Poor babe he just can't catch a break. Such a little devil. He's excellent at dark magic and knows how to Pretend but he's so lonely. And also when he learns the truth about himself he kinda melts into a puddle so uhhh. I like the Troubled Ones I guess. But I am going to fix it for him I swear!! Eventually!!

Oh I also have a Fe3h oc named Androtimos who is a Morfean!! I imagine his voice as smooth and warm as liquid honey and personality-wise he is basically that as well. But also he's a lil tricky-tricky. He's a librarian who secretly knows some dark magic and has a mother in TWSITD.

002 | Mercedes von Martritz from Fire Emblem: Three Houses

How I feel about this character: I like her arc, when it is fully played out via Byleth supports, of recognizing that her passivity, which once had its use in mitigating the harm that was done to her in situations where she was being abused, has now become a hindrance to her and that she has to be more proactive in going for the life she wants.

All the people I ship romantically with this character: Right now, I’m not certain that I actually ship anyone romantically with Mercedes. I think that right now, I find her story more resonant if she manages to make a life for herself where she doesn’t really need to get married. In non-Crimson Flower routes, this can only really be accomplished by taking religious orders, but I like to imagine that everything feels just fine to her when she gets to spend her whole life never getting married.

My non-romantic OTP for this character: Annette, and if we’re counting DLC, Constance as well.

My unpopular opinion about this character: I have no idea how popular or unpopular this is, so this could be a hot take or it could be that nobody cares, but I think I do head canon Mercedes as aro.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: More focus on her in Crimson Flower. We as a fandom have gone round and round about how there are a bunch of characters who could have had really interesting arcs on Crimson Flower, but it bears repeating that Mercedes is one of them.

a headcanon fact: The voice she puts on is not Mercedes’s natural register. Mercedes’s natural voice is, while not particularly deep, a lot deeper than what we usually hear out of her mouth. She has put on a lighter, higher voice than is natural to her as a tool to make those who might hurt her consider her less as a potential threat to them. Also, this is more related to House Martritz in general than Mercedes herself, but when we got the new flavor text from Three Hopes, and House Martyn was described as a newly-established barony that hadn’t had any real opportunities to distinguish itself yet, I thought “Ahh, so you’re the ones who got House Martritz’s lands after it was dissolved.” Before, I had thought that Martritz territory had probably been absorbed into another house’s lands, but with Martyn’s name being so similar to Martritz, I envision them as a branch family of Martritz which, after Baron Martritz died, successfully petitioned the crown to name them his heirs instead of his unborn child (Mercedes), and booted Mercedes’s pregnant mother out to move themselves in instead. Also, a third fact, also not about Mercedes, but I’m talking about it because I think it’s a funny coincidence. So, I gave Mercedes’s mother a name in a fic I wrote in September 2019. I originally intended to name her Constance, but decided to pick another name that was more etymologically similar to her children’s, and wound up with Constanza. So in continuities where Constance von Nuvelle exists, I head canon her as being named after Mercedes’s mom.

How I feel about this character: I like her. Honestly, I don’t think about Olivia too much.

My non-romantic OTP for this character: Her Maribelle support is cute.

My unpopular opinion about this character: Like I said, I don’t think about Olivia too much as a character, so I’m going to write something gameplay-related instead. Don’t be afraid to class her away from Dancer. I do this with Azura, too. It’s fun to explore different classes with your dancers as appropriate, and Olivia is no exception: Swordmaster!Olivia and Falcon Knight!Olivia are both stupid fun.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: This is the most basic thing imaginable, but we all know what it is: please, for the love of god, give her enough time to actually form supports with Chrom before they get married.

my OTP: I don’t really have one, but I do like her with Frederick. Not a whole lot of support chains with potential romantic conclusions actually show signs of romantic feelings before the S-support, but I thought those were there in their A-support.

Yuri: A theatre major who could be getting the lead in every performance, but tends to carefully self-sabotage to instead to end up as a semi-important supporting role. You meet him at a bar or a party where he's somehow engaging several people in lively conversation despite the pounding speakers and crowded dancefloor, and he zeroes in on you the moment you've caught his interest, beckoning you to a quiet(er) place to sit and chat. By the end of the night, the mutual attraction and tension is practically unbearable, but rather than pursue it right then, he places a single, very gentlemanly kiss on your lips, then promises to see you again with a devilish grin.

Balthus: He's a communications major who asks you for help studying for a core class you take together- and he's not shy about the fact that he asked you specifically because you're smarter than he is, but also very, very cute. He flirts by sending you dumb memes at 3am (his jokes in person are usually dumb too, but he loves it when you roll your eyes at him and laugh). One day, he "jokingly" starts calling you his spouse around your friends, and it just kind of... sticks. And now you're a couple. You'll have plenty of gym dates if you're up for it, or just grabbing a blanket and enjoying some sunny spot on campus together. Also he has definitely punched someone on your behalf before.

Your open and grateful response seems to take her by surprise, but you work together for the rest of the class period, and by the end, she mumbles something about "there's these pastries at a café right off campus I wanted to try, if you feel like... also trying them. But I won't force you, you know, so..."

Constance: A bio-chem major with a theatre minor. She feels immense pressure to have a high-paying and prestigious career, as her family hasn't been doing well financially- not that you would ever know. She has impeccable style and shows up to 8am classes with full makeup and styled hair, and only admits to her closest friends that she's dependent on a scholarship. You know of her long before you meet her officially- and when you do, it's when a gaggle of hungover guys cut in front of you in the dining hall and she demands they apologize to you, physically dragging the biggest one over to you until he shows proper remorse for his brutish behavior.

Yuri: With nowhere to run, he would likely open up, sooner or later. The two of you would walk out of there with a fond memory of the experience.

Constance: Would be severely affected by not being able to escape using her magic, so she would likely ignore you until she manages to find a way. She will regret this later when someone points out she could've used her time in there very differently.

Balthus: Would start joke-flirting, but it would be unclear how much of it is a joke and how much of it is real flirting.

Hapi: Would be terrified of sighing on accident. You would try to come up with stories and games to keep her entertained and engaged through the wait.

Yuri: Physical Touch and Acts of Service 

It’s no secret that Yuri is…well, secretive. He’s a man of mystery that sends even the toughest of detectives for a loop. This natural habit to act with discretion filters into his own personal relationships. You see, Yuri is full of flattery. His honey tongue attacks everyone and anyone. While many think compliments are his way of expression, they’re not. Ninety percent of what comes from his mouth is empty flattery and shouldn’t be investigated beyond that. It’s a waste of time to analyze what the man says, time that should be invested into his actions. Yuri is a conservative person when action is not necessary, so if he feels comfortable enough to casually touch you?? Congrats! You’ve broken down one of his walls. He gives up time for you? Congrats! You have half of Fodlan’s underworld practically at your beck and call. You see my friends; Yuri is all about investment. He does nothing without thoroughly thinking over how it will benefit him. Therefore, him willingly doing acts of service for you, spending his limited time with you, offering physical affection, etc. are important. When Yuri loves he doesn’t pause to plot out his next move. He just does what feels right. 

Balthus: Physical Touch 

C’mon. The guy is literally called the “grappling king,” how do you think he got that name? His fighting style? Pshh. Balthus is all about physical affection. Friend, foe, lover, etc. Balthus doesn’t hold out on anyone. When Balthus cares he treats every meeting like a reunion. It’s always full of excitement and joy (with bragging in the mix). However, when Balthus loves he is tender. He doesn’t treat them as if they’re glass, heck no. Balthus lives off play-wrestling! Yet in addition to those moments he also allows them to see his more vulnerable side. Only people he loves receive tender hugs or pats on the head. Only people he loves get to hug him for warmth. Only people he adores get permission to comb the great grappling king’s hair!  

Hapi: Quality Time 

This one is obvious. What is something Hapi appreciates more than anything? Freedom. She values her time and ability to move around. Hapi’s time is important to her and she is painfully aware how easily life can turn around. Wasting it is something she never does, ever. Hapi greets every day knowing a single sigh could take lives, and that with the flick of a wrist she can easily return to a prison. So, imagine her willingly giving up her time for someone when it isn’t necessary. Imagine being her first choice when pairing off for battle, imagine her training at your side instead more efficiently by herself, imagine her asking to join you in the sauna, imagine her taking the little free time she has to spend quality time at your side. This is how Hapi behaves when she loves. Of course, she’s as sassy as always; her personality doesn’t change much in comparison to with other people. When Hapi loves she simply choses to share her valued time.

 Constance: Giving Gifts 

Constance is materialistic. Fact. She is not good with accepting vulnerability and dislikes showing signs of weakness. Stubborn? Yes. Constance views the world as her chess board and giving anyone a leg up puts her in line for check mate. People that she cares for are no exception.  If you want Constance to compliment you it will be like finding a needle in a haystack of words. She’ll sneak it in so well that it will almost always fly over your head. It’s much easier to pay attention to the gifts she gives. Constance has no shortage of presents to share, though they may not always be the most jovial. For people she’s trying to butter up Constance normally sends something plain and impersonal. Yet it’s different for people she cares for. Constance thinks that a good gift is a practical one. You may not be the most excited for it, but she looks beyond that. In other words, Constance is a provider. If she always tries to assure you have what you need then you’ve successfully gained her affections.

(Byleth) “You’re alright. Keep up the good owrk.”

(Hapi) “Huh? Oh, thanks...I guess.”

(Hapi) “...If you’re thinking about sighing, please don’t do that. I might as well.”
