Grand prize winner – Between the Stars by Litauszki Tibor

This was shot in Germany with an underwater case attached to a metal weight and placed under the eggs. Tibor waited nearby for it to be dark, and when the newt appeared, he lit it with an LED lamp. He started the camera with a home-made wired remote release. It turned out one or two sharp pictures.

Famosas por su velocidad y resistencia al calor del desierto, la comúnmente llamada cachora es nativa del sudoeste de los EUA y noroeste de Mexico 🌎

Reptiles relativamente pequeños y delgados, son principalmente de naturaleza diurna y de comportamiento nervioso, siempre alerta de sus alrededores 👀⚡

Algunas cosas que llaman mucho la atencion:

Su forma rapida de escapar, pues por un instante puede correr con sus dos patas posteriores 💨

Por el caliente suelo desertico, ellas levantan sus patas alternando de dos en dos, enfriándose en el aire 🌬️ eso provoca que parezca que estan bailando 😂

Su cola rayada (de ahí el "cola de cebra") la usa como distraccion, levantando y moviendola elegantemente de un lado a otro cuando encara a algun depredador 🚨
