Headcanons about the Egg Bosses because I want see more of them.

Axel's arms have more cybernetic implants than what he uses, he prefers to not rely on them to Eggman not stop seeing value on him

He's the first one to warn the other Egg Bosses of the risks when they reveal intent to betray the Egg Army... But he's not actively stopping them.

Tundra hides a LOT of scars under his parka, the oldman has faced many battles already...

He also hides a locket with a photo of his deceased wife and, to everyone's surprise, an updated photo of Rotor under there.

Akhlut was the first one to find out about the previous fact and uses that to tease his rivals everytime he can... He wouldn't reveal it to Eggman, though.

Besides Tundra, Akhlut hates work with Abyss because he doesn't think she takes that work or even the risk of being paralyzed for whole decades seriously.

When Eggman said to Maw he had to choice a cybernetic implant, he asked a few options, put them in a roulette wheel and drew...

He is the Egg Boss who shows more respect for the other Egg Bosses' cultures and traditions, what makes almost all of them look at him with suspicion.

Thunderbolt is actually more powerful and effective in battle without her mechsuit... But Eggman isn't complaing because he thinks he can measure how loyal she remains through the appreciation she shows to the suit.

She hates particularly Shadow... Even more than Sonic, Mighty or any hero who really got in her way.

Nephtys started to use masks out of shame to hide her face, but it eventually turned into a hobby and she has a collection of them now.

She is the one who most tries to convince the other Egg Bosses to give up when they show intent to betray the Egg Army.

Conquering Storm frequently points out defects and errors in Eggman's strategies as well as more effective takes, she's not afraid of what he can do because she knows he'll see she's right.

Nobody knows what's her birth name, it was long lost before even of her bow down to the Egg Army.

Clove's boots aren't only fancy parts of her attire, they are her cybernetics, literally her legs...

But she refuses to use their functions because Cassia would get starstruck and want something akin, plus she herself abhors these new legs

Cassia won't grow up any more because both her illness and cybernetics messed with the development of her body

Her cybernetics also covers communication functions, so she can call Clove or the Northamer Egg Army any time, this was the first thing Clove asked to Eggman after he had assured Cassia's condition was stabilized.

Battle Lord's cybernetics are all internal, they're to substitute some of his old organs that were failing after so many battles

His division of the army is the most well coordinated.

Abyss' Egg Army division is the most effective one, what surprises about half of other Egg Bosses given her relaxed positioning

Also, she omits a lot of locations of Eggman because she wants to explore these places without Eggman rushing her, thus enjoying the treasure hunting

Mordred hadn't legs or arms before join to the Egg Army, that are his cybernetics

Also, he is actually the last of his kind, the last of the mobian snakes...

Sonic Universe Online #53 Behind the Scenes!

Hello again, people! Since last time we covered the behind-the-scenes for StHO #52, today we'll be covering the next and final issue of the Bunnie arc, StHO #53! Admittedly, I might not have as much to say about this issue compared to the last one since I had no involvement in it's production, but I'll still do what I can!

As usual, let's start with the cover. There isn't much to say here since Crim penciled it fairly early into the arc, even before the cover for 52 was made. The biggest change that was made was adding to the bulk of her robotic arm, and moving the sleeves on her coat as a result.

This issue was fully penciled by @dariidrawsindreams, but @katonuchiha4525 provided the thumbnails to use as a reference. Although there had been some issues with artists coming and going, we managed to stick to a remarkably consistent style in this issue thanks to them.

Meifeng was designed by our former artist Pooj, who was meant to be a junior/daughter figure to Conquering Storm, though not her Kommissar. She's obviously more polite and less battle-hardened than her Grandmaster, and although she doesn't personally get involved in the action this issue, she's definitely not to be underestimated. Whether or not she's as easily impressionable as portrayed in the off-panel is yet to be seen.

When Khan has his flashback to issue 92, @alusniper had to correct the colors on the Overlanders' uniforms. But since the flashback was later given a sepia filter, it ultimately didn't make much of a difference.

On page 16, the positions of Bunnie's legionnaire partners ended up being swapped, due to not matching up with the order of the word bubbles in the panel.

One thing that keen-eyed readers may have noticed is that Bunnie is missing her jet pack throughout the issue, even in scenes where she's clearly flying. That was really nothing more than an honest mistake, and by the time it was noticed it was too late to add it back in.

Back in 52, we made sure to add a line about the coil generators carrying the oil shipment throughout the arc, so their role in defeating Jun Kun would be properly foreshadowed. We also made a reference to Espio providing the Fan of Fen Xing to Khan in issue 211, which is how Jun Kun was defeated in that issue.

@riggo-draws had actually drawn the final page at one point, but after he left the team we ultimately stuck to the version that Darii made.

Finally, there's the preview picture that we teased the day before the issue was released. @leroyalmess had made several drafts of Genesis-style pictures to use, but we ended up opting for a parody of the Sonic & Knuckles logo, but with Bunnie and Khan instead.

That's it for this one! Maybe a bit short compared to the others, but no less work involved in making it a reality! We'll have to say goodbye to Bunnie for now, but until she returns, keep your eyes peeled for the upcoming Blaze arc, and beyond!

A stupid headcanon I have

Look, I get that Lightning Lynx (Archie Sonic) was written as an incel. When I read it seriously, that's the take I have.

However, I have one headcanon that I think is simultaneously much funnier and much sadder than canon. What if Lightning was trying to say that he loved Conquering Storm as a sister? I hear you asking, "but Ana, what about the honor duel?" Yeah, dude, siblings fight all the time. I, personally, once kicked my sister's tooth out, and we're besties now. I've not had access to full Archie comics, so I can't verify the exact wording myself, but did Lightning explicitly say (1) that he loved Conquering Storm romantically and (2) that he specified an honor duel?

It would be a bit funny if the whole thing was a misunderstanding, but also, imagine how awful Lightning and maybe even Conquering Storm would each feel? Assuming they were even a little bit close, which I can't recall being specified anywhere (but makes sense because why else would Lightning stake everything on this and why else would Conquering Storm immediately take him back when she wanted an ambassador?), then just imagine it.

On Lightning's end, this sister figure mocks (?) him for his feelings and affection for her and banishes him over what he (maybe) meant to be a friendly version of Sibling Squabbling (TM). On CS's end, this (maybe) friend of hers suddenly out of nowhere declares his love for her, which she thinks is romantic, and challenges her to a duel.

This is made a little funnier again by the fact that I ALSO interpret Lightning and CS as mlm/wlw solidarity.
