finally started on conglomeration alpha 2 and one of the first things i'm doing in this version is readding the sounds for when you feed cows and pigs and the like.

for some reason, doing this causes the sounds to also work on their baby variants, which, while very cute, is also very inaccurate to how i remember things. and i can't figure out why it's doing that.

I know everyone is so happy and excited to be watching the downfall of niche internet celebrity (and I am, too -- don't get me wrong)

But like. My favorite part of the takedown video? the final half hour. where hbomberguy returned to room temperature, where he got the chance to talk about the brilliant internet soup that we have, and where he talked briefly about the niches that James Somerton's videos actually could have found purchase, had he done them respectfully

And then he explained how to approach these things respectfully: Just ask! If you want to read out an article, ask if it's okay! If you want to create an animation on top of an incredible essay you found, contact the author! If you want to read out sources to create a cohesive point, go ahead: As long as the original creator is on board.

It all comes down to: collaborate respectfully! Share things! Share profit and credit, especially if you grow to a point where it's necessary.

On the small scale, everyone should be allowed to test out and share information. Use the internet for feedback and for conversation! Use it for teaching others! Use it to learn video editing techniques for your anime guys kissing!

But remember: your responsibility grows as you do, and as your audience does. Do the right thing.

meant to make this post a few days ago, but i've been busy messing around with ui stuff lol. anyway, Cornbread's Music Fixer.

Cornbread's Music Fixer will probably end up taking a few days to update to tricky trials, due to some things i want to get prepared for the download pages. if you want to listen to the new music during this time, you'll have to disable the pack. sorry. but, on to the important thing:

this next cbmf update will Not be final. i am very displeased with the way mojang has handled music for this version - it is far worse than i can understand how to fix right now - so this update will be split into two: one just to get the new music playing in game - updating / reverting various biome's tracklists to how they are in vanilla java edition, and another one further down the line to tweak and refine those tracklists into something presentable. i apologize for this, but i simply need more time to figure out exactly how to fix mojang's mess.

going forward, the plan as a whole is this:

finally start development for Conglomeration alpha 2

sometime in the middle of step two, i will likely release ore-ish textbox, a proof-of-concept pack i've been working on for a while.

i procrastinated for a bit but i have copy-pasted the cocoa bean, redstone and soul torch, and enchantment glint changes from cornbread's texture fixer to conglomeration.

also, i came up with yet another resource pack idea, which i normally wouldn't post about since it's a fairly common occurrence, but this one was cool enough to go onto the list, so maybe it might actually get made?
