I knew the artist to be a kind, caring person who shipped multiple pairings in the fandom and I knew firsthand how Elsanna shippers have been harassed. I'd been harassed by anti-Elsanna people myself and it always, always hurt.

A few days later I posted this on my other blog, detailing my experiences as a multishipper in the Frozen fandom. As you can see, this was a deeply personal post that talked about the way I had been treated by different people at the time.

But a "friend" of mine who shipped KA did not like that I made that post, and made sure she told me why:

I tried to explain to her that I did not make my "My experience as a multishipper" post to demonize KA. To anyone reading this now, look at the post. I've linked it. I talked about the kind people I had met in the KA ship, and I told her this:

But my KA-shipping "friend" didn't care how earnestly I was trying to explain that I wasn't villainizing KA shippers, and didn't care as I defended the comic:

For the record, I have been personally harassed by anti-EA KA shippers. In fact, I had been various times before this conversation with her. She knew this, so her acting like a KA shipper would never mock or belittle an EA shipper is... what planet are you from?

I sensed from her snippy tone ("So I'll make a comic about elsanna shippers, what shall I accuse them of?") that she was incensed - and I got scared. I wanted to calm her.

She made me feel I'd done something wrong - even though she knew I shipped KA alongside her, knew I'd defended her and her friends in the past. But it didn't matter how often I'd "proven myself" to her. If I did the "wrong thing," she'd make sure I'd know it and feel guilty for it.

So I contacted the artist, who I must emphasize one of the sweetest, kindest people I've known in the fandom. They told me the comic was based on their personal experience of being harassed on twitter, and that they were venting.

I relayed this information back to my "friend" and this was her response:

Here's the kicker. Long before I reblogged that comic, this KA-shipping "friend" made a post herself. It looked like this:

Tell me, years after the fact, whose post was more "needlessly incendiary?" The comic, whose message was, "Good for you? you ship what you want and I'll ship what I want, live and let live?" Or her post that used an ask about another ship to flare up a ship war?

I feel like the answer is obvious, but... God... the years I spent struggling to "prove my worth" to a "friend" who never really trusted me or even seemed to like me still hurts to think of. The time she spent talking in circles to me and making me feel like I'd done something wrong.

I spent years thinking I was just... overly-anxious all the time... but I was on edge because people like her put me on edge. Any time I said something she felt was "wrong," she'd be in my messages and I had to defend myself, explain myself, be scared my defenses wouldn't be enough for her.

I should have realized sooner that nothing would be enough for her, but again, she preyed on my naïve belief that she was acting in good faith when... she wasn't. And made me feel like I was in the wrong.

So I guess the reason I'm making a public post years after the fact is... I need other people to see what I went through. I need other people to confirm, "She was behaving irrationally, not you," "She was preying on your insecurities," "She was 'needlessly incendiary' herself."

Who do you think is better suited for dating Morpheus: Johanna or Hob?

Lol controversial ask! Jokes. I am guessing this came off the back of my response to the Calliope post the other week where I mentioned that I am loosely a Dreamling shipper but lean more towards Morphanna currently. I guess I need to specify that it very much depends on my mood because I am a Sandman multishipper at heart but feel different ships serve different purposes regarding Dream. I struggle to stretch them beyond the purposes I have set aside for them. Also it's Dreamling week and so one look at my blog would definitely give the assumption that I am a huge Dreamling shipper but that isn't actually the case. What I am is a Morpheus stan and everything else is peripheral to my focus on him and his story.

But sure lets dig into this. Honest answer? Neither because Morpheus is terrible and his track record alone is enough proof that he should never date anyone ever.

If we want to be sticklers for comic canon here, neither is suited because there are particular blockers in place for both ships.

For Morphanna the blocker is the rule that states that an Endless can not love a mortal. We have the Nada situation to show us what happens when they do. (Sun gets big mad and throws fireballs at the Earth)

For Dreamling the blocker is less carved into stone but its still gonna be a biggy for certain readers/audiences, being that Morpheus is not gay/bi/pan/queer whatever you wanna call him. For all intents and purposes in comic canon he's as straight as a ruler. However whilst we only ever see Morpheus's lovers as powerful, confident, beautiful female presenting immortal beings, we can throw in the tried and true argument we can apply to all of Neil Gaiman's non human beings which is that since he is not a human cis male, he technically can't be straight and since he has multiple forms and is as old as the universe itself, attraction is probably a very different thing to Morpheus than it is to any of us. It's entirely plausible that he could fall in love with a man shaped being (I actually have a meta in progress about Morpheus' potential queerness - sure it may ruffle some feathers but since I do this for fun and not to please anyone but myself I don't give a damn and will post it one day).

Anyway, that said the show could easily do away with both these blockers. We haven't had Nada's tale yet so whats to say the Endless are forbidden from loving mortals in the show universe? Nothing. The show could also easily confirm Dream has had past male presenting lovers (my money would be on Oberon in a threeway situation with Titania - or Pharamond if he shows up.)

So putting those elements aside, who is better suited to Morpheus?

In Johanna's corner we have the following;

She generally fits the archetype of past lovers and therefore could be considered Morpheus's "type" - beautiful, confident, argumentative, not phased by his status, not submissive to him, puts him in his place (listen we all know Morpheus has a submissive kink its practically carved into comic text lol).

Well versed with his "world" and supernatural creatures and can hold her own against them - being a Constantine has its benefits.

She cares - underneath her tough exterior its clear she has a good heart. She was able to bring him down to Earth, to give a human perspective that he needed at that point.

Flawed characters - Johanna considers herself a bad person and compares herself to Roderick Burgess. But Dream is quick to dismiss this. The truth is that Johanna may be messy and a bit of a disaster, but she is very selfless and good at her core. This could be a good thing as it could help Dream to see the good in humanity that he has been missing. Its clear she already helped with this in the show, but going forward, a relationship between them could help even further accelerate his change and make him a better being.

She encouraged the development of his relationship with Matthew. Something else he needed which she saw before he did. Basically she's smart enough to figure out what he needs, and when to press the issue or not. (she dropped the topic of his imprisonment as soon as he deflected to her photo).

She understands heartbreak and messy relationships - I think Johanna would be well suited to Morpheus because she is just as broken as he is, with almost as messy a relationship history. They have common ground there.

"It never ends well does it?" "What? Love?" She's realistic about relationships, which Morpheus - being Dream - needs. She can ground him, at least for a little while.

Johanna is also a powerful ally to have on side, it makes for excellent storytelling to bring her into the narrative regarding Lucifer and the stories revolving around Hell. She's competent, highly skilled, and I think he finds her impressive.

For Hob consider the following:

Friends first - for someone with such a terrible track record of past lovers, finding love in a friend is something Morpheus doesn't appear to have tried before, and this could be exactly what he needs. Dream and Hob have a shared history over 6 centuries, and those are strong foundations to build a relationship on, especially since they've already basically been through the big break up fight and heartbreak and are already in the rekindling phase.

Stories for the storyteller - the beauty of Hob's role is that he is Dream's respite from his world. The visits with Hob are the one time the Prince of Stories gets to sit and listen to stories himself. There must be peace in that, and we all know Dream desperately seeks peace.

Blind Devotion - Hob is patient, and he will wait for Dream. One thing that I think a lot of Morpheus's past lovers had in common is that they struggled to stick out the periods of time when he would throw himself into his work and basically forget about them. The relationships fizzled out after the honeymoon phase because Dream couldn't sustain that, even though once you have his love you have it forever. With Hob that wouldn't be an issue. He is the man who waited. Who never gave up hope that Dream would return even after he was stood up, and when he did return, Hob smiled and joked. It was all okay. Morpheus needs a relationship with that level of chill.

Flawed characters - Unlike Johanna, I think its safe to say that Hob is a very flawed character. He is selfish, greedy, self centered and ignorant to a lot of what takes place around him. Whilst he does grow and improve over time, his flaws are still a huge part of his character. Morpheus is also very far from perfect and it is this that makes them so well suited. There is almost an equal footing there. Hob could potentially see Morpheus's POV when it comes to the grander schemes, but at the same time, it is clear from their journey together in the show that they have a tendency to make each other better.

Grieving fathers - now this is an important one and its something I feel the comic failed to see the potential of. A huge part of the Sandman story is Morpheus struggling to come to terms with his grief over his son. Grief is a central theme. Of all the characters in the comic who Morpheus comes to meet, Hob is one of maybe two that share that experience - being a father whose son died too soon. I think the other character in comic who suffers this same grief is Shakespeare, which is an interesting parallel and one worth exploring. The show adds Roderick Burgess into the equation - making a fathers grief for his dead son the trigger for Dream's own imprisonment. The show emphasises the theme of grief far beyond the comic, which is definitely worth further exploration in a separate meta. The point is that Hob sits in this very small circle of characters who have shared Dream's experience. Hob is therefore in a prime position to help Dream where they can grow and learn to heal together.

Whilst he doesn't fit the archetype for Dream's past lovers, the differences Hob provides could prove to be just what Dream needs. He is still a handsome man (and God knows Dream gave him bedroom eyes in 1789) and he still ticks certain boxes regarding dominance, confidence, and an ability to hold his own in a fight. "You need not have come to my defence" suuuuure Dream but you did enjoy it nevertheless! Therefore attraction isn't an issue.

Conclusion?

Both Johanna and Hob tick certain boxes to meet the requirements for "love interest" and could easily be positioned that way for Dream. When I really dig down into it I think it depends on what fans are looking for in a Dream ship as to which character is best suited.

I love Morphanna for how messy it is. Yes, Johanna cares and has a good moral centre, but placing her into a certain role within the bounds of the canon story could actually be bad for Dream going forward. I see it as a dramatic relationship. It would be passionate, fiery, dramatic, chaotic, and will end in heartbreak.

I say this because ultimately Johanna doesn't do commitment. This is a clearly defined character trait in the show. Commitment is something she struggles with. Whereas Morpheus is all about commitment. He doesn't appear to do anything BUT commit to people and comes on extremely strong. I love exploring this dynamic between them. I think it would work brilliantly as a canon ship and I am still resolutely behind the idea that Johanna should replace Thessaly in canon and be the trigger for the rainsoaked Dreaming and the Brief Lives disaster trip.

So whilst I 100% ship Morphanna, I think I only ship it on a temporary basis. I struggle to imagine a future where they can have a happy ending and be together long term. Instead I see an ending where after all is said and done, Johanna stands and tells her story at the Wake, and mourns the creature she loved, and has to go on struggling to understand her role in his downfall. If we are seeking an alternative ending where Morpheus lives, I still struggle to see him settling down with Johanna as she is a mortal and I cannot imagine her ever choosing immortality or giving up her job as someone who saves people from the supernatural. She will never be Morpheus's queen. It just doesn't suit her character.

When it comes to Hob, as much as it sometimes irks me to admit it, he is very well suited for Morpheus even in an endgame/alternative happy ending way. Foundations based in centuries of growing friendship, his patience and ability to wait for Morpheus to get his head out of his ass, his being unphased at practically all the weirdness and oddities that Dream's world brings with it. The fact is, Hob is Dream's best friend. This is something that Dream needs so much more than a lover. Not only that but he is a friend who has shared history, shared grief, shared pain, blind devotion, and he is immortal. Hob will stay by Dream's side forever if he has the chance. So long as he still gets to live. Whether you see it as purely platonic, queer platonic, non sexual romantic, or fully romantic and sexual, they are in it for the long term.

Whereas Morphanna for me is a quick burning fiery passionate love affair that ends in tears and A LOT of rain, Dreamling is a very slow burn. I struggle with canon based fics that have them falling into bed shortly after the 2022 reunion because it feels out of character to me. If Dreamling were to happen, it would need to take practically the entire comic run story to get to that point. Hob's devotion to Dream is clear, but his awareness of its romantic potential is not yet there. I always return to Hob's dream in Sunday Mourning when I think of Dreamling, because for me, that is where a relationship between them would actually start, rather than end. Because I think it would take a huge event like Morpheus's actual death for them to pull their heads out of their asses and get together. Because you see even with all the arguments and debates and highly emotional opinions thrown around, I still feel deep down like Sunday Mourning is telling us that Morpheus escaped. He got out the narrative and is free from his cage, and now he's set for his own adventure off in the stars. The only person I can realistically imagine him taking with him is Hob Gadling.

At the end of the day these are my opinions. I want canon Morphanna, I just want it to end with a horrible messy break up because I want that drama. I am unsure if I want Dreamling in canon, but I do hope that if the show ends similarly to the comic, that we will get those scenes in Sunday Mourning and have them be extremely emotionally charged - if ever there is a Dreamling love confession, that is where it belongs. I can only really analyse my opinions on these ships based on canon but I am aware that fandom is a big sandbox and people can do what they want always with these characters. Please don't ever let my opinions deter you from shipping them to your hearts content in any way you feel like.

So I guess the TL:DR is that they are both suited in different ways. Morphanna is a mid story passionate love affair that I adore and want to end in disaster. Dreamling is an endgame slow burn friends to lovers that has the potential to go long term.

I love them both for their specific purposes, believe they both are suited for those purposes, but never the other way around. I hope this satisfies your question! :)

... now this, took a minute to answer in some ways. There a lot of ships I like, so this was really easy and hard to answer at the same time. Some ships it was an immediate yep yep and others I had to go '... but is it a fav of all time, though?" But I think I got it narrowed down.

So here we go, fav ships of all time from any media, no particular order. I didn't get any specific no. to do so I'll just list a handful until I can't think of any others. (Anyone who comes across this that sees a ship on here you don't like and feels the need to say something about it, stay in your lane this ain't about your opinions it's about mine.)

The main FMA ships

Arakawa Hiromu, nigga, you cooked. Imma just put the FMA ships as one and leave it there because if I do it separately, we'll be here all day. But if you wanna see me diving into why I like these ships in a manic ramble, here's a post I made on that here. The romance in FMA is literally a category and a discussion all on its own that I can go about on for hours. FMA has the best romances in shounen so anyone who has consumed FMA will know what I'm talking about. Like, whenever anyone tries to use a manga being 'shounen' to justify shitty romantic writing, I point at FMA's brilliant riding. An animanga's demographic is not an excuse for terrible executions in romance. EdWin, RoyAi, LingFan, AlMei and all the side ships drank and left no molecules.

NaruSaku

Toxic shippers, again, stay in your lane, I don't feel like dealing with y'all any day. I have been shipping this shit for years, always have, always will. Ignore the fact I ship Sakura with literally everyone from the Akatsuki to Hinata to Sai to Shikamaru. (Y'all I used to look up Kisame/Sakura fics, unironically TAT). (Same for Naruto honestly, I've shipped him with Sasuke, Ino, Temari, Tenten, the list goes on and on.) The way Sakura goes from finding Naruto annoying to almost dying multiple times to keep him safe, I will never EVER be over that. Naruto's love going from puppy to something as passionately red as the thread of fate itself. The MinaKushi parallels. I have a lot (and I mean a lot) of ships in Naruto pertaining to these two, but NaruSaku is my absolute favorite. Like it was literally confirmed that Sakura got over Sasuke and then it got retconned for some bullshit. Saying it with my whole chest, argue with a wall, it should have been them. I won't dog any other ships, but yeah, it should have been them. 699 chapters of Naruto being in love with one woman, I sing the praises everyday.

SakuHina

Hinata's prince charming is literally Sakura. I have a whole ass fic I am slowly, painstakingly writing about what Naruto would have been like if Hinata had a crush on Sakura the whole time. I just think they're really cute together, have amazing chemistry and balance each other out. I didn't expect to like SakuHina as much as I did but here we are.

Kyoru

I mentioned it before in another answered ask but Fruits Basket was my first manga (if you're curious what my first anime was, it was Yu Yu Hakusho) and Kyoru was probably my first OTP. There are two characters I think upon so many rewatches and rereads that were prime game for who Kyo and Tohru could have ended up with had things been different (which, I do really ship as well. Multishipper here guys) but I'm not mad about the endgames that we got. From start to finish, Kyo and Tohru's relationship is beautiful and you can feel how strongly they feel for one another. It's like, wow, Takaya really gave us one of the best ships in shoujo and didn't even apologize for it.

Klance

Red + Blue = True. They had chemistry, supplemented for what the other lacked and we really don't need to have me diving into the bs that was VLD. That show wasn't even out long, my god, it was a mess.

NeuviFuri

Should I explain to you the romanticism of Hydro x Hydro? Oof how I love them. A Genshin ship after my own heart, truly. But if anyone is trying to against MiHoyoverse (I was here from the Mihoyo days, leave me alone) in terms of seeing who ships NeuviFuri more, we all lose. They literally paid people to do an ice dancing program in NeuviFuri cosplay, paid a guy to make a companion piece to Furina's song from Neuvillette's perspective and several other animations concerning their relationship in some way. But the Mihoyoverse shenanigans aside, it's the build up of 400+ years of working together, the care they still have for one another and yes the complementary abilities and color palettes. Not enough time in the day to talk about them, I don't think.

Almost thought I wouldn't have a gif for them, then I remembered THEY GOT A MOVIE. Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe is one of my favorite books in the world. I have reread it once a year religiously since 2017 when I first discovered it. This is such a beautiful novel and relationship and if you haven't had the pleasure of reading it or the sequel, please do yourself a favor and buy it or rent it from your local library. It's just, the way Ari has been in love with Dante for so long and didn't even realize it but it's so, so clear to the reader because of just how he talks and describes him? I don't even want to go to deep into this one just in case there's someone here that hasn't read this book because it deserves to be read and experienced blind. Just, just please y'all read it.

There was literally no queerbaiting in Loki. As a bisexual man I am literally begging people to stop calling "male characters had close and intimate scenes but did end up together" queerbaiting. Queerbaiting is when they dangle a potential queer character in front of the audience and then go "oops no they're straight" Loki isn't even straight! He's canonically bi! So is Sylvie! Neither of them ended up with anyone! Men are allowed to be close without being romantically or sexually interested in each other and modern audiences are so spoiled for representation that those friendships are attacked by fans angry they didn't fuck.

especially with shoko (as you know i think about her a lot) i'm not surprised she reacted this way considering she has seen all of her friends die basically and she definitely deals with dead sorcerers on the daily that she probably knew in life considering she's the main healer. in my headcanons she recognizes a lot of the people who eventually end up dead on her exam table.

plus as you mentioned her reaction to geto's mass murder is super chill. she was never going to have a breakdown over fucked up shit? at least not outwardly, unfortunately we don't really get a look in her head. also god forbid a woman have interest in dead/macabre things and/or not give 110% emotionally at all times.

IT’S SO BAD!!! THEY ARE ACTING LIKE HIS STUDENTS AND FRIENDS WANTED THIS!?!! And are refusing to look at the story from a narrative standpoint outside of shipper/fanon shit… They do this literally every time something huge and awful happens. They always end up making it about a damn ship, completely glossing over the characters themselves and their intentions. It’s so frustrating. The Gojo and Getou they talk about is barely even them… those are OC’s!!!

And the only reason why they’re talking so negatively about Shoko is because they hate women 🗣️🗣️🗣️!!! It’s crazy, she’s literally a doctor who specializes in the dead. She’s a mortician!!! Like, you’ve stated, she’s been burying her colleagues and friends since she was a teenager. I’m sure she’s used to the business now. Even if it’s hard, if you’re in this line of work, people who work with the dead tend to not find it as torturous and haunting as any normal person would because death is an extension of life. They don’t view death as this big, scary, horrible thing they way people who don’t work with the dead/aren’t used to dealing with death, are. That’s why in rl, morticians and doctors might come off as extremely fickle and end uncomfortably nonchalant regarding death. They don’t view dying and the dead in the same way we would. They find comfort in knowing that they can help the grieving pass on the best way that they can by taking care of their bodies in their most vulnerable moments on earth. It would’ve been nice to see more of Shoko’s reactions and knowing about more of her feelings regarding Gojo’s passing because like I’ve stated before, Gege really fumbled her character and because of the way he wrote her, it makes it easier for fans who already don’t care about her, to mischaracterize and misunderstand her intentions, labeling them as “callous,” and “inconsiderate,” despite her having always been this way since the very beginning. She didn’t even so much as flinch when Getou had confirmed to her that he’d committed a massacre, killing over 100 people in the process. They were talking so casually as if they were talking about the weather. She had to fix up Haibara, probably one of their very first friends who she’d most likely ever had to work on… it’s just, I hate how the people bashing her really DON’T understand her character at all and have never once tried to and they’re constantly proving my point. They expected her to be sobbing in every panel, grabbing onto Gojo’s tight…, Sexy ass, black t-shirt, holding on for dear life and screaming at him to wake up and they absolutely HATE that a female character wouldn’t give that to them 🚶🏾‍♀️. As for Yuuta… oh brother. The fact that all of Gojo’s students do care about him and have always admired him… Yuuta didn’t want this at all… but he knew that he HAD to do it in the end and so did the others. Knowing the kind of trauma that he’d suffered himself. The pain and isolation that he had to deal with because he was too afraid of hurting people so he pushed them away and purposely isolated himself. He’s canonically tried to take his own life on multiple occasions. After meeting Gojo, he learned that he had just as much as a right to live as anyone else and that he mattered. He chose life. Gojo, alongside the friends he’d made, made a huge impression on him and it makes me happy whenever I think about it. He used his strength to protect others and learned to see his strength as a good thing instead of a curse that separated him from society. Gojo already knows what it’s like to be lonely and lived with that till the very end. But he made sure to let his students know that they all were worth living. This is literally why he wanted to become a teacher in the first place!!! Have the fans forgotten just how much he adores his students!?!! Yuuta knew exactly how Gojo must’ve felt… even taking over his body, he didn’t need to view his memories to find out.

Even if it is, from a narrative standpoint, incredibly disgusting, Gojo gave them permission because he values the lives of the people he cares about, especially the kids (ppl always forget that he loves children 😭… he’s do anything for them), above his own. When it comes to the kids, he knows that he’s the adult in the situation. Just like Nanami, it’s the adults duty to protect the children and he feels the same way. His corpse gave them a way to fight back and he gladly gave it to them as sad as this might sound… He’s always been this way and we all know why. Come on. He’d always seen it as his duty to protect and shield them from the horrors of the real world that would soon hurt them back. I hate that he’s still being used as a weapon in his death so much, it really makes me want to cry, I could barely sleep 😭… but man…, whenever stuff like this happens, it just goes to show that not everyone was reading the story with their eyes open. Blame it on shipper brainrot.

I'm gonna be 100% honest and explain a trend I've noticed, and it's probably gonna get me crucified by both sides of the aisle. Now, this is a generalisation of course, so there's always exceptions to the rule. That said, from what I've usually seen of these people that are extremely toxic about these ships (and note this doesn't apply to normal SniperSpy/SniperScout shippers, just those that are extremely toxic about their OTP)–

Both of these types of toxic shippers want to fuck Sniper. As in, the shipper themselves wants to fuck Sniper. And they treat Scout or Spy as a self-insert/proxy for themselves. SniperSpy shippers are often in their very edgy teenage phase and act like badarse tryhards and identify with Spy because they're pretentious and convinced they're fancy or some shit. Or they're just pretentiously French-Canadian. SniperScout shippers often identify with Scout—they're usually loud, transmasc and overperforming masculinity because they think they have to make up for something, white, and maybe have a learning disability (autism/ADHD/dyslexia—it's usually ADHD and this is the autism webbed site so that's kinda expected here, said as an autistic person).

So them, usually being young (20 or younger) and pretentious little shits stuck in their high school bully mentality with a boner for Sniper, VICIOUSLY attack each other over who has more of a claim on the bushman. Because if they somehow convince someone that their ship is superior, it means their feelings/attraction to Sniper are validated.

People are strange. I haven't quite puzzled out HeavyMedic shippers yet, except that they usually get extremely defensive about gay representation (ignoring that neither are confirmed gay in canon), and many are fujoshis. That's all I've got for that so far.

Mega Man Ships, but They're Explained Reverse Pandora's Box Style - Part 1

So here's how this is gonna work. I'm going to use a shipping template to explain a bunch of the Mega Man ships that I support. But here's the catch - with every ship, the list is going to get more and more obscure. Let me explain further:

The ship we start with will be something well-known, and the last one will be one so bizarre and out-there that you might want to argue with me once you see what it is. Heck, you might want to argue with me at any point during this. And you know what? Go for it. I enjoy debates. Just be respectful. We can settle this like responsible members of society.

I am a multishipper. If you ever see the same person twice, that's why.

 Some characters are aged up slightly (none of the kids are adults now, don't worry), because I like to think the characters age over time (that and I can't believe they gave Rock the Ash Ketchum treatment...). I will be going off of headcanons and vibes for characters without confirmed ages.

While I could give commentary giving context for each of these ships and the content I put in the template, I won't (except for special instances). Instead, I'll write a oneshot for each one.

Not only that, but I will also be linking a song for each ship! Although I won't be explaining those, or else we'd have a bunch of mini-essays of me doing lyrical analysis (but. Hypothetically. If you wanted me to do an essay for any of these songs for any of this ships. I would not be opposed).

Every ship will be under a cut. You don't know what you'll get unless you click the button. That way, you won't get jumpscared by some crazy, out-there ship while you're scrolling through your dash as this series goes on (that, and this series' title has to make sense somehow).

I've tried to make my handwriting as legible as possible (I'm not very good at writing digitally), but if you can't read something, let me know.

--- This was a stupid idea. Bass stood outside of the Lights' residence, wanting to kick himself. Even if Roll answered the door, who was to say that she would react well to what he had to say? Stupid, he thought. Absolutely stupid. His fist hovered above the door, as if he were about to knock - but then he put it back down, shaking his head. He spun on his heel, as if he were about to leave, only for the door to open behind him. "Bass?" Bass jumped at the sound of Roll's voice, face burning as he heard Roll's voice. He swore at himself - what was he getting so flustered for?! He turned back around and took a deep breath. "Roll." "What are you doing here? Are you looking for Rock?" "Nah. I'm here for you." Roll's eyes widened, and Bass could've sworn she saw her turn a shade of pink - but it disappeared as soon as it appeared. "You - you are?" She soon became angry, and crossed her arms. "Why? Are you here to kidnap me again?"

"Nope. Kinda the opposite." He walked back to the door, standing in front of her. "I want you to leave me alone."

Roll blinked, confused. "What?"

"You heard me. I want you to stay away from me. Quit showin' up to help Rock in fights, quit comin' over to be a 'good influence' for my sisters. Just back off."

Roll's brow furrowed. "And why should I?"

"Because I can't focus around you, that's why! How am I supposed to fight Rock or do whatever random garbage Wily comes up with for me to do around the fortress if you're always there?"

"I still don't see the problem."

"That's the issue! You don't know what you do to me, you-" Bass stopped, his face flushing. Why did she have to look at him with those stupid eyes? "Nothin'. Forget it. Do what you want." He turned and left, his ears burning from how hard he was blushing.

Roll, on the other hand, was absolutely stunned. Could it be that Bass felt the same way about her that she did about him? Why else would he get so red when talking to her? And how else could she "do something" to him when she'd never laid a finger on him? But - no, that was ridiculous. He'd just told her to leave him alone! But at the same time... Roll sighed. There was only one way to settle this.

She had to talk to Bass.

"I don't want to watch this movie!"

Bass rolled his eyes at Waltz's whining. "It's my turn with the TV. And I don't want to watch it, either. But I had to pick somethin' 'age appropriate' for you two, since neither of you know how to take a hint and bug off."

Piano looked at Bass curiously. "Brother, you are being uncharacteristically hostile toward us. Is something wrong?"

Bass cocked an eyebrow. "You speak way too proper for an eight-year-old, you know that?"

Piano frowned. "You are trying to change the subject."

Bass clucked his tongue. "Look, I'm not mad at you and Waltz, okay? I'm just not in a good mood right now."

"Why?" Waltz asked.

Bass shrugged. "I dunno. I just... well, today I had to tell somebody who was gettin' on my nerves not to be around me anymore. But now I feel kind of... weird about it."

"Are you sad?"

"I don't know, Waltz. I don't want to talk about it. Let's just watch the mo-"

"Bass?"

Bass flinched and almost fell off the couch. He turned to his left, and sure enough, Roll was standing there. "What the - who let you in?! And didn't I just tell you to stay away from me?!"

Waltz squealed and ran up to Roll. "Roll, Roll! Are you here to play with me and Piano again?"

"We would like it very much if you did," Piano said, walking next to Waltz. "Dr. Wily bought us a new tea set yesterday, but Bass isn't any good at having tea with us."

"Yeah!" Waltz agreed. "He's the worst at playing pretend. But you're great at it, Roll!"

"Maybe we can play tomorrow," Roll said. "I came over to talk to your brother."

"Aww! Okay..."

"I have to advise you that he is not in a very good mood," Piano warned. "And based on what he just said, I gather that you have something to do with it. If I were you, I would exercise caution and try to determine if the conversation you are about to have with him is truly worth it."

"Oh, don't worry, Piano. I already thought about it."

Piano nodded and grabbed Waltz's hand. "Very well. Come with me, Waltz. I have an idea for something we could do."

Bass' sisters left the room, and Roll and Bass were left alone. "So," Bass said, staring at the TV to distract himself from Roll, "What do you want?"

Roll sat down next to him. She had to keep herself from looking too hard at Bass - he somehow managed to still be cute, even when he was angry. "I thought about what you said earlier."

"Psh. As if. If that were true, you wouldn't be here."

"I had to tell you something."

"Which is?"

"You know how you said I do something to you? Even though we've never fought or anything?"

Bass huffed. How could she not realize the affect she had on him? He moved away from her, wondering if that would help. It didn't. In fact, it made it worse. She moved closer, wanting to return the distance between them to its original state. She wants to sit next to me... Bass had to put his head in one of his hands to hide how red that realization made him. "What? You mean what you're doing now?"

"Yes. Uhm... I think... I think you do the same thing to me."

Bass scoffed. "Yeah, right." He felt fine to look at Roll now, the stupidity of her statement making him laugh. "Do you even know what you're sayin'?"

"I do!" Roll pursed her lips. Was she really going to say what she was about to? What if she was completely wrong about this whole thing? What if the reality of the situation was something really ridiculous, like she was a carrier of Roboenza and made Bass sick whenever she was around him? Or what if Bass was just really mad at her? But then again - she would never know for sure unless she said what she felt, right? "I... I like you, Bass. I like you a lot."

Bass snorted, and Roll felt her heart sink. Had she been wrong after all? "'Like me'? Really? What, you wanna be friends or somethin'? I thought Rock was the only one in your family stupid enough to try that."

"That's not it," Roll corrected. Her confidence was starting to come back. It wasn't that she was wrong - Bass had just misunderstood her. "That's not it! I - I want to be more than friends with you."

"What? Like 'best friends'? Wow. Not even Rock would think that we could be-"

"No!" Roll stood up, frustrated. "How do you not understand?! I want you to - I don't know, take me out on a date! Or something!"

Bass gaped for a second, shocked. Then he began to snicker. "And why would I do that?"

"Because - because you like me, too. Or at least, I think you do..."

Bass scoffed. "No I don't. You're a Lightbot. I hate..." he trailed off. For some reason, the word 'hate' didn't quite fit how he felt about Roll. Even though it fit perfectly for Rock. And Blues. Blues sucked. But for Roll, it was different. He didn't really have anything against her. She never tried to preach to him about how he was "more than his programming" and had "goodness in him", like Rock did. And she never tried to grill him about why he did the things he did, or how he saw himself like Blues did. But she did make his core overheat whenever he saw her, or make it hard to think, or make his insides feel all fuzzy. And it didn't help that she was kind of pretty looking...

Wait.

Was Roll... was Roll right?

"No - no you can't be serious. I can't - I can't like you, I - oh, I'm done. Wily's going to kill me. I'm dead. He's gonna be so freakin' pi- wait. I don't have to tell him. Yeah. Yeah, the old man doesn't need to know about this! This doesn't stop me from cleanin' Rock's clock. This... I can work with this. It's all good. I've got this..."

"Hey, Bass?"

"And I'm sure there's a way to turn this off. I mean, I didn't start out like this. This is recent. It's been... what, two months since you started screwin' with my head? It's cool. I can fix it. It's fine. All I have to do is just... think of somethin' I don't like about you."

"Bass, listen..."

"Okay, let's see." Bass thought for a moment, standing in front of Roll to get a better look at her. He tried to think back to every time they had talked, every time they had a petty exchanging of words. But... no. There was nothing that he could use. "Huh. I'm, uh... comin' up short. It's fine. I'll think of somethin'. Dr. Light couldn't have built you perfect, right? Even though it sure seems like he di- wait, no. I wasn't supposed to say that-"

"Bass! Listen to me!"

"What?!" Bass threw his hands up. "What do you want from me now?!"

"Calm down! It's going to be fine! We don't have to do anything. I can leave. If it's going to be a problem, we can pretend like there's nothing-"

"Are you kiddin' me?! You started this problem - and now you want to act like you didn't?" Bass grinned. "I don't think so, Roll. Since I can't figure out how to stop how I feel about you, I'm goin' all in." He walked directly to her, making sure to get as close as possible without touching her. He bit back a laugh when he saw her turn pink again. "Park. Seven-thirty tonight. And you better not stand me up."

Roll smiled, and Bass thought he was going to fall out. "I wouldn't dream of it."

"Hey!" A familiar voice called out from nearby. "You two should kiss!"

Bass whipped his head around, and saw Waltz and Piano spying on him and Roll. Waltz slapped a hand over her mouth, but it was much too late for that. "You two! Don't either of you know how to scram?!" Bass started to chase after them, and Waltz screeched as he did so. Piano didn't say anything - she just focused on being faster than he was.

Roll laughed, and decided that now would be a good time to leave.

She had a date to get ready for, after all.

hi! lol we would literally be here all day if i listed every single ot3 of mine and i'm sure there's plenty that wouldn't interest you if they're from fandoms you don't follow, but i'm gonna speak generally with a few examples: ot3s are great because I'm a multishipper and I love threesomes (and the occasional foursome/moresome) lol what can I say. Unless something is a squick for me I can usually find some way to make it square in my head. And I like gay stuff, so an MF is usually further enhanced for me by making it MFF or MMF (although i also like MMM and FFF). Sometimes there's also the appeal of just... weird or inconvenient sex. It's funny, it's experimental, where else can you get this kind of content. i love the vibe between Inu/Kag/Miroku in the early days of Inuyasha before Sango is introduced. i like Miro/Sango too but like, those three clowns might've hooked up pre-Sango days. and i often genuinely can't choose between one ship and another, or i don't want to write out a ship so that i can include another one. i like Ed/Ling from fma but i also love Winry and it's not out of this world to me that she'd be down for a threesome lol. (Actually the problem would be Ed... but I think he could be convinced.) For the other het ships i listed... Bat/Wonder Woman... like why not complete the trifecta and have SuperWonderBat? They are iconic for a reason and they're fun together. Actually this just works really well in general for American comics that have been so long-running each character has a multitude of possible ships, and probably some homoerotic tension with someone at some point? Other times i'm literally not interested unless it's an ot3, like something is missing without it? Tbh this tends to happen with underdeveloped het ships, when there's a rival/bff/villain character right there with whom the hero has plenty of development, but the creator also hasn't totally neglected the canon love interest (usually a female character who has been somewhat sidelined lol). That's your Sasu/Naru/Saku (Naruto), Inu/Kag/Koga (they teased Kag/Koga and I was kinda into it, but I need Inuyasha to also be there for me to get on board) and most of the canonical ships from the Final Fantasy canon. In general, if I'm supposed to be into a couple for ~aesthetic reasons~ or there is a ton of ship tease but no canonical confirmation, as with many rpgs of the 90s and 2000s, then I'm piling on all the aesthetics that appealed to me. If I'm feeling in the mood for something a bit more fucked up, fraught and ultimately doomed threesome is great: Link/Zelda/Ganondorf and Link/Midna/Zelda (Legend of Zelda), Anakin/Obi-Wan/Padme (Star Wars), Jean/Scott/Logan (X-Men) and Shinji/Kaworu/Asuka... even throw Rei in there, whatever (NGE). Finally there are ships for whom it just Makes Sense. Finn/Rey/Poe (Star Wars), Haruka/Michiru/Setsuna (Sailor Moon), Watanuki/Doumeki/Himawari (xxxHolic) just to name a few. Or ships featuring two people who are super horny and flirty in general that I can easily see adding a third (or fourth or many), which describes almost all the horny situations I'm submitting my main fandom (MASH) darlings to inside my brain and sometimes on paper. ftr there are ships for whom I think it truly doesn't work and if it's me saying that then trust me, I've tried. there's a good amount of ships I enjoy without it too, but i think i'm probably in the minority in that whenever i get into a fandom i'm holding three or more swatches up at time trying to figure out what can work.

just remembered I'm allowed to post literally whatever I want so here's a fic idea I wrote one chapter of and haven't picked up since

Scara/Cyno. A ship that, at the time I thought of it, had exactly five fics and four of them were made by the same two people. I am absolutely delighted to report that I just looked and there's now a whole entire 22 in the tag! Yippee. It's not one of my main ships- but I am nothing if not a multishipper. I was chatting with my partner, who I often bounce ideas around with, and mentioned that those two should NEVER meet. The man who's all about justice, and that one motherfucker who tried to be god? Yeeeaaaah, not a good idea.

So, naturally, my next question was "What if they were gay?"

And thus, Debt Collector (yes it's a song) was born. It uh, died pretty quickly, but I could probably be persuaded to post what I have of it and mayyyyybe revive it if people liked it. 'Tis the curse of the auDHD author.

The whole fic idea, essentially:

Celestia, as fucked up as they are, go "Hey that guy got too close to being a god lets not let that go unpunished" and tell Cyno to go kill him

Problem; Scara can't be killed.

Solution; Meropide.

The fic takes place as they travel, fuckery ensues, and frankly I might actually brainstorm some ideas as to how my current headcanons for Scara would fit into that.

It's definitely not my favorite bit of the first chapter but here's a little blip:

The entity spoke again, voice gentle in a way. Condescending. It sounded like the way Cyno imagined he would speak to a toddler if one were to walk in on a torture session. “Will you be quiet and listen, now?” He couldn’t do anything but nod. His breath returned, and he gasped for air. He didn’t know why; he’d been able to breathe before, just unable to scream. The stranger stepped forward, towards Cyno’s side of the bed, and Cyno’s suspicions were confirmed. It walked just above the ground, light appearing where it stepped. It hurt to look at. “Don’t look too long. You wouldn’t look at the sun.” Another reminder that held gentle condescension. Cyno managed to unfreeze, if only for a moment. “What are you?” “We are Celestia.”

You got any ships that'd have people side eying you?

Uuuuuuh out of any fandom ever? Short answer: yes.

Long answer: it's a little complicated what I would define as a ship for me bc when it comes to ships I actively ship and actually think should kith I have incredibly few. But when it comes to ships where someone else will be like "these two are cute together" and I'll go "yeah I see it" and maybe rt/rb a post about them it's like...almost any ship. Y'all have watched me write hcs for almost every mix and match combination of almost every character in Survive even though I have like,,,two ships from that game. And also what some people consider side eye worthy is different from what I do.

Like,,,for example, I know I've said it before, but I don't think human x digimon ships are inherently weird. I think it varies on a partner-to-partner basis. I've seen a lot of people in gg fandom ship Ruli and Angoramon or Kiyo and Jellymon and...yeah I think that's fine. But no one ships Hiro and Gammamon because that would be weird. And I don't think I really have to explain what the difference there is. But I know for some people it's just a hard no across the board lmao.

Probably the only ship I actively ship rn that people think is weird is, for reasons I will never understand, ThomAya. For those of you not in Genshin fandom they're just a classic cute longtime best friends to lovers ship that some people unironically think is incest because Ayaka told one person one time that Thoma is kind of like a second brother to her. These same people will turn around and ship him with her actual brother tho which...what? Like if you actually think they're related or whatever how would that not, in your eyes, also make him related to her brother I DON'T UNDERSTAND YOU PEOPLE. I digress.

OH OH OH NOT TO KEEP GENSHINNING BUT FUN FACT I totally got canceled on twitter for shipping kaether back when it was implied but not explicitly confirmed yet that Aether's an adult so the "Traveler is literally minor-coded" crowd came for my ass. I tragically got blocked by one of my only mutuals who liked Digimon back then over that shit lakfdjak. Like sorry for assuming a character who had "seen the birth and death of stars" but is kinda short was at least 18. I was right though.

I know a lot of my KH ships are side eye worthy because they'll be between characters who have literally never met (i.e. most mix and match combos of the characters who are Nobodies of or replicas of or the embodiment of darkness extracted from the other major characters). Some of them are between characters who, despite literally having entire arcs dedicated to establishing that they are NOT the same person, people will still point at and call self-cest. (i.e. shipping Roxas with Sora or Xion). So again I genuinely don't think they're weird, but I know other people do.

I've seen people say it's weird to ship Pao-Lin and Lara in Tiger & Bunny because of their "age difference." They are 16 and 14. Sue me.

Here's a special segment for things I shipped in middle and high school that no one thought was weird back then but would DEFINITELY get a side eye in 2024.

I was a sebaciel shippper when I was like,,,12. Would I still ship it today? Probably no. But hey it was 2013 and I'm pretty sure the show WANTED you to ship them.

Almost any hetalia ship. I am not even joking, almost every character in that entire show was related somehow or another. It was like 2015. I was not immune to smashing pretty characters together and shouting "now kiss." I also was not doing deep dives into whether or not the immortal personifications of countries were technically related or had age gaps, I'm sorry.

Totally shipped Yoichi and Gekkouin from OnS. I mean my main ship was kimiyoi but multishippping is real. To be honest it was just a classic case of being a teenager and shipping the character I related to with the character I thought was hot. It was not any deeper than that.

TLDR: if any of y'all do now or ever have shipped anything weird, I'm not gonna judge you for it. I literally do not have the right to.

Whenever I see people asserting or asking SE should let both ff7 ships be "equally treated" or theres "no hard confirmation" till the end of the game so "they're all partially satisfied". I just think they're really naive/ pandering/ cop out and don't realize that mindsets like that are simply fuel to fire. You can't please everybody, they've tried to do that and look where that got them? Story and characters twisted, people receiving death threats, etc. Some multishippers aren't helping either (pisses me off sometimes whenever they think they're above others for liking everything, like wtf does that even mean?). This isn't like Gintama/ Persona where the romance doesn't need to be canon to understand the story & characters, so go off on shipping but FF7 isn't like that.

The only thing I'm worried for are mfs who think SE's just catering to Clotis because they're the most popular ship. Some people are still stuck on thinking it's a game about choices when it's honestly super ironic that FF7 is a title that pushes the state of realism that sometimes we don't got a choice, things just happen and we deal with it with what we have because that's life. The louder portion of this fandom is so brainwashed and gaslighted by a false understanding of the game.... I have to say I'm quite sick of it already.

I pray for better days, Cloud x Tifa be really the REAL star crossed lovers here (at least NOT the Shakespeare definition) for their confirmation level is like TOO FUCKING HIGH while others are down below hell. The insanity is just unreal and it's making me hurl.

Canon gonna slap all these people so hard and then we all get to sit back and enjoy seeing them mitigate their embarrassment 🤷

i’m only even saying this bc i think that’s the route they’re going with the show, not bc it’s something i want. in s4 they’ll probably have a crumb of screentime with ej where he gets some semblance of a happy ending by telling his dad to kick rocks & getting with val. i was hoping they’d have a ‘guys & girls can really just be friends’ thing here but i really don’t think that’s the case. honestly, as long as he gets some form of a happy ending lol, being an ej stan is tough in these trying times.

i think there’s supposed to be a parallel between kourtney/jet (which...wow we thought jet was gay for the longest), maddox/ashlyn, gina/ricky, & ej/val as set up in the trailer. even though those pairings aren’t confirmed yet (minus rina), they’re the set up for s4.

but this show isn’t that hard to analyze, it’s ‘intended audience’ is probably middle schoolers & it’s foreshadow city

You know, I’ve been very careful to not overtly ship one way or another because I’m mostly interested in looking at and analyzing the current plotlines and episodes, whatever they may be. I’ve tried to keep any analysis I post centered on current canon relationships (although I’ll occasionally reblog ship-centric edits or artwork if I think it’s well-done).

I joined tumblr last spring when I found some metas that I wanted to read and realized that it wasn’t quite as cray-cray here as it was when I tried to stumble my way through looking for “Cut and Run” series info over a decade ago. I started posting more right after the beginning of season 7 as episodes and articles came out and, after reading a post that said that tumblr was like “screaming into the void,” I decided that I would scream into the void rather than bug my husband with my TV-show addiction.

Although I prefer Buddie, I've read a variety of ships in fanfic (and I’ve read a LOT of 9-1-1 fanfic), including authors who had written Buck/Tommy fics before season 7. I’ve watched the entire series straight through twice, and have watched some episodes multiple times. And, yes, I see the Buddie of it all, and I’ve entertained myself in the past reading people’s couch theory and costume theory and all of that. I’m a literature major—I eat that stuff for breakfast. It’s like catnip to me.

But canon and fanfic/shipping are two separate things. Harry and Draco were never a couple (neither were Harry and Hermione or Harry and Daphne—did I mention that I’m a confirmed multishipper? 😁). Neither were John Sheppard and Rodney McCay, or Merlin and Arthur, or Gibbs and Tony, or Derek and Stiles (or Stiles and Peter). These are all ships that I’ve avidly read in the past, and still read today. If you’re an author who writes those ships, chances are I’ve read your fic. Those ships were never canon, but it didn’t mean that people didn’t continue to have fun with them, even long after canon was complete. The two can exist simultaneously (it’s like the multiverse—they all exist or don’t exist at once or not at all).

My point? You can enjoy canon as it is and still enjoy your ship. Have fun with it. You don’t have to rip characters (and their actors) apart to support your ship. This is supposed to be fun, but I’m sitting here worried about posting content or phrasing something slightly wrong for fear someone might yell at me or target me and ruin my fun. I had enough of that crap on the AOL parenting debate boards 20 years ago.

Don’t drag us down with you.

Not many aus/fics that have an angsty end, but we have a ratssmp au called the Exile Au where the rats who blew up the boiler rolm go through it TM, found wings can confirm BABNS

In terms of angsty au's in general, definitely the Midwatcher!Au and a dp au were writing for ourselves ^^

We have a silly fluffy rewrite of the copper scene from the beginning he s9 with mumbo n grian, it's probably the happiest thing we've written BABSB

In terms of planning aus n stuff, Yes! Currently working on a Dragon!Tamer au with some friends, and a Villain!Hermits au that has been in the works for about a year and a half now

DEPENDS ON THE DAY N HYPERFIXATION we are an avid multishipper-- Anyways atm its Grayghost, Pitch Pearl, n The Secret trio /r because they're silly, in terms of he the buttercups(mumscarian) n taurian are 2 favorites of ours ANNS theres 100% more then that but those are the main two NAN

14. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

right off the bat mymercilar resistance, We want to finish it cause the story was really fun but we've lost all motivation after chapter 2 wndnd

Theres a hanahaki au with Scarian we wrote awhile ago-- We still have some hope that we'll finish it but atm we haven't gotten back to writing it

And then also the Dp writing thing we psoted here with Danny Jack and Maddie-- The bits we posted were chapter 1 but i have no clue if we'll actually write chapter two (theres still hope ofc!)

15. What are your writing strengths?

Definitely scenery and descriptions in general, we are an avid "show no tell" kind of writer when we write, like genuinely its so rare for us to just say what a character is doing ABSABBS

Also when we actually get motivation, We end up hyperfixating on the writing and get alot done BWBDB usually entire sections/pov bits

16. What are your writing weaknesses?

Dialogue. Specifically the bits after it, We absolutely hate "he said" n the other versions of that because its very redundant, but its very hard to find words that fit that dont repeat, and theres only so much "action while they speak" you can do before it gets to much

iirc that was literally the main reason we lost passion for writing the Mymercilar resistance

Another thing is motivation, We have to be in a very specific mood to write anything-- this also goes for animating-- if we aren't in that mood, it is very difficult to actually write things out

17. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

As long as theres a translation after or somewhere in the notes were good ^^

We cannot recall ANDS our best guess is piggy but we think we wrote stuff for other fandoms before-- Definitely wrote for our own os before though

3. What fandoms do you write for?

So far, all my published fics are for Danny Phantom. It's a fandom that's near and dear to my heart and my favorite to write for. I've written fanfiction for myself in a lot of different fandoms over the years. Miraculous Ladybug, Mega Man (Star Force, Battle Network) and Fire Emblem are a few. (Will these ever see the light of day? Probs not, lol)

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?  5. Frayed Ends - 37 kudos - Jazz and Maddie are fighting more often. Jack wants to reach out and help his family. 4. The Same Blood - 45 kudos - Maddie and Jack try to help a sick girl that collapsed in front of their house. They don't know what to make of her condition. Danny wants to help.

3. Returned Home - 49 kudos - Maddie finds Danny at home after he disappeared ten months ago.

2. The Broken Pieces Left Behind - 66 kudos (tie) - Maddie knew what the portal did to Danny. If she could create something that essentially turned him into a ghost, she could figure out a way to fix all of it. Even if she hasn't made any progress in the past two months, she'll keep trying. She didn't account for what Danny wanted. 1 . What's Out of Out Control - 66 kudos (tie) - Danny thought he had it under control. He thought he could finally hang out like they used to always do. Tucker could feel the rift between them widening. It wasn't getting smaller anytime soon.

5. Do you respond to comments?

I try to! There were a few comments from my two earlier fics that I never responded to and it's already been so long and I feel like I ended up putting it off too long to say anything now 😓But I'm so so thankful for all the comments I receive! I never thought anyone would read my work, let alone comment on it. I'm always between two modes of 'author commentary' and 'screaming thank you and running away'.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Lol, I love my angsty stuff and there are so many different flavors of angst, so it's hard to pick just one. I'd say the piece I aimed to write for Angst Fest, The Broken Pieces Left Behind, might be it. It ends on a rather hopeless note for the Fenton family that even I don't know how to make everything better for them

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Probably Home for a Cat. It was for a Ectoberhaunt prompt that I was absolutely stumped on. So I decided someone was going to adopt a cat by the end of the fic.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Ahh, so I actually posted a fic on FFN wayyy back when I was in high school. I remember it being received pretty well but I got a really rude comment on a simple spelling mistake. Back then, I was just told I had dyslexia a few years prior and I had some really bad self-esteem issues tied in with that. So, yeah, that comment basically made me terrified to ever show my work to anyone ever.

It's been over ten years since then and I wanted to actually get over that fear. I impulsively decided to do Angst Fest with the mindset that no one would even look at what I posted. Not only did people look, everyone has been so kind!!!

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

lkdajldkf, nope. I get flustered trying to write basic romance and having two characters hold hands, lmao. Major props to those that can, it's definitely a skill that takes time to master just like any other genre.

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

I haven't.

Nope, but it seems like a lot of fun.

14. What's your all-time favourite ship?

Back when the show was airing, Amethyst Ocean (Danny/Sam) was my go to. I'm a sucker for friends to lovers tropes and it's really nostalgic for me. But, I don't really read a lot of shippy things for Danny Phantom, so ships don't make or break a fic for me.

If I'm looking to read romance, the whole Love Square (MariChat my beloved) with Miraculous Ladybug will always be great. Even if I jumped ship on the show around season 2 or 3 and I have no clue what they're doing now, lol.

15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I honestly have so many WIPs that are unfinished on my computer from over the years. Maybe a super old one that I titled 'Phantoms in the Daylight'. Angst once more with Character Death as the main pain point. I like the beginning but oh boy, does it get sloppy and confusing real quick. I'd need serious outlining energy put into it if I'd ever want to salvage it and I just don't have it in me.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Dialogue! Give me two blorbos and I'll make them talk forever.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Scenery and description. I love the dialogue portion so much that I end up running into the floating heads in an empty room problem in the first drafts of my fics. My first round of edits are dedicated to making sure I have a scene and grounding characters into it. And then I have to go back later to make it not feel so robotic sounding.

(Also a weakness but more as in fic than writing. Summaries and Titles. I stare at my drafts on AO3's editor for at least half an hour trying to pull something together, lol)

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I can probably talk about this for hours, lol. I absolutely love foreign languages, especially when it comes to linguistics. So, I'll try to be brief, lmao. Short answer: depends on the fic but normally no. I already spend so much time fussing over the word choice/slang/formality/dialect characters use in my native language. I don't have a good enough grasp on another language for it to sound natural to the reader. ("They would not fucking say that" is my internal monologue during dialogue edits, lol)

19. First fandom you wrote for?

It's a toss up between Pokemon and Danny Phantom. I first learned about fanfiction from a friend who showed me FFN for the Pokemon fics. I looked around the site and found all of the Danny Phantom fics soon after and got hooked on those. I started writing around then and it would have been for one of those two.

20. Favorite fic you've written?

Hard to chose one! Writing technicality wise, I'm proud of how What Remains on the Table turned out. I consider description my weak point, so the original draft was 0 dialogue with very stiff descriptions. I was able to edit it to really practice my environmental storytelling. (Although, please mind the tags if you click the link as it does deal with the dissection topic)
