the trinity is complete. Last year I took photos with Mana & Nea during poppy season, then with the Millennium Earl and now .... Adam finally joined them. The scene left me speechless back in the day. It was an honor to recreate it.

Probably gonna get him some smaller eyes. Iris size is ok but the sockets seem a tad small for these.

I just ran across the Conarium 120cm girl, Eve, and in the promo pictures she has an incredibly lifelike snake with her as a prop. I can't tell if it's real or fake, but it's not listed for sale on the page. I want that damn snake so bad.

My #conarium #bjd #candelabra came in today he's #virgo the head actually separates from the candle holder so he can become a beautiful #SD boy too! It's a good thing it's Halloween season I should be able to find a nice black candle for him!

WiP - Adam, Last things to sew & the hat

Up to the last part here, the coat needed to be finished and a hat and cane were waiting to be made.

I have to admit I enjoy hand sewing to a certain degree but the sleeves came out too small for Adam I can't really take the coat off without removing a hand... but I just decided I will not redo them as I wanted to get it done by a certain date to have photos taken.

I was just glad I had decided to make actual button holes for the coat, that saved me from sewing on 6 two part snap buttons (aka 12 more buttons) in the end. Sewing on buttons always takes forever.

A part I was truly looking forward to was making the hat, this time with EVA Foam:

I also made a cane for him in the meantime, used Cosclay here.

For the decorations I made poppies out of silken paper as I wanted a different design than the other two hats I have.

So... here he is:

WIP - Adam, Eyes, shirt & Coat

Back at it again. First of all Adam got his eyes in, I went for glass eyes here as I wasn't sure which size I need and I can upgrade later on.

Then I went back to sewing.

First I worked on the shirt but as I did it before work (was able to get down from my overtime a bit and start later) i skipped on a lot of parts for now as I wanted to get the machine parts done.

I went on with the coat, first the outer layer than the lining. And fighting with the collar once again.

It somehow took all way longer than estimated.

The last thing for that day was doing the button holes, I had to postpone finishing the whole thing once again... but it was mainly the sleeves for everything and lots of buttons. Always those damn buttons.

Adding the sleeves to the shirt was luckily not the worst thing to do the next day, same thing for the snap buttons. The tie is just an adjusted ribbon but it works nicely. It's the same I used for the bag.

WiP - Blush, color and matching for Adam

I have yet to apologize to pushing back on posting his progress I did put everything in the queue but I kind of ... went wild on projects and don't want to post 4 times a day or more so ... a bit delayed but here is progress on him.

Okay Adam is a very interesting project as I want to adjust the visible parts of him to a darker color, I aim for a gray-brown, like a mix up of the original colors Hoshino used in the beginning and the current colors. Which is ... quite a challenge as the starting material is a beige "normal" tone.

Starting out with different techniques here. I only blushed the neck area as I won't color match the whole doll, the majority won't be visible after all.

The head got a little brush airbrush base.

It was building up the color in several layers here. The color changes with the light sometimes it's a nice light brown, sometimes it's super dark ashen. Interesting but very fitting for what I had in mind.

I absolutely enjoyed painting him and for once I am even satisfied with the eyebrows. He has a super soft but I think friendly expression C:

Yes, I really like how it turned out.

Here he is. My biggest doll customizing project so far. The self made head that took me one year to complete.

The Millenium Earl. I never had thought I would actually get him done, I truly thought the day would never come that this project would be too huge for me. Especially with everything going on in my life. But damn I am so proud, I did it.

More Allen photospam with the official introduction of his newly finished outfit <3

This is btw the last photo I took before he fell over and the face up got damaged, I was taking the pics to show off the finished outfit and while I still miss his old eyebrows I now can see it might be for the better that I was forced to repaint him.

He has changed in the series, found himself again and with stepping away from the former Allen, the Exorcist runaway... this doll also upgraded. It's a journey, open to new horizons.

Outtakes - New year’s eve.

Sometimes I have an idea and it doesn’t turns out like I imagined it to be, these photos are the outtakes, sometimes I post them.. sometimes not.

It took me overall 5 attempts to be satisfied in regards of my new year’s eve photos with Red but somehow I was sad that the other’s were about to get sour on my laptop while the fandom needs more love.. therefore.... more Red for everyone <3
