putting my hands on your shoulders looking directly into your eyes why are you so insistent that Dazai is faking every emotion every second of every day except when he's acting mean or evil why do you think his dark side is more true than his happier or sillier sides

do you not also have multiple facets you show different people? are we not all beautiful multifaceted individuals? are your actions and reactions not influenced by your emotions and state of mind?

can't he laugh at his own jokes? can't he fondly think of the Agency? can't he be dramatic because he wants to? can't he be surprised by something suddenly happening, even if he knew it would happen? do you not jump when the jack in the box gets out even if you were the one working the mechanism?

why would the mean persona be more real? why would any and all joy be faked? why are you only allowing him misery?

I read some tags implying that my Piccolo is Gohan’s Real Dad is a hater statement but listen I never said Goku wasn’t Gohan’s real dad. Some boys have two real dads and an ex-military uncle with a shady past who lets you drink at his house as long as you don’t tell your mom, and that’s okay.

but, in all seriousness, I’m happy I can drop the twitch sub I have to support them directly AND you mean I get perks too? 🤩 awesomeness!

I love the critical role abridged and the cooldown — that alone is worth the money. Especially since marisharayguns has retired, I believe? (which no ill will there, they are a boss and deserve to relax and enjoy cr as a fan.) because some episodes my attention will not hold and then I fall behind and dread the catch up.

Something is telling me that eddie would have a pair of those fluffy sandal slippers and initially he was secretive about them but after a week he’s driving in them, wears them to do deals and flaunts them at hellfire. Won’t hear a bad word against them.

When he first wore them to hellfire the party were in uproar and Eddie just propped his feet up on the side of the table grinning the whole time.

I AGREE its so crazy how zap gags weren't a thing.... like TTCC really popped off with that one! i understand TTR is moreso sticking closer to the way TTO was but WOW zap just feels so natural with a REALLY good mechanic that uses strategy in using squirt and its just so good.... also my favorite track

YEEEPP!! That's how I feel about it. Squirt and zap just mix well together. I also think the addition of an 8th gag track was also a good move, allowing for a nice rotation of combinations (like how lure-trap and throw-drop are together as a combo). And also its a nice even number. I also think it helps utilize squirt, idk just feels good to do in general. Of course, I don't really have anything to compare this to and it's just me speaking as a player of (currently) one server, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

Home Favorite: all stats are boosted one stage when being cheered on by the crowd

Versatile: speed and defense are both boosted one stage when a terrain is active

Clay Specialist: speed, attack, and defense are all boosted two stages when clay terrain is active

Roadrunner: Accuracy is increased by 50% after a sprint of at least 10m

Trickster: Accuracy on nonstandard shots is increased 50%

Clear Mind: all stats are given a two stage boost when faced with break points or are down a set

Servebot: Serve is boosted three stages but speed and defense are both dropped one stage

Quick Hands: When at the net, speed and attack are both boosted two stages

Unnerve: Opponent’s accuracy is halved after pissing them off or otherwise upsetting them

Stoic: crowd-based stat changes and unnerve have no effect

#i know a lot of people like trickster or roadrunner carlos builds but personally i prefer versatile #also really liked that one clear mind taylor build it’s a shame it hasn’t seen much use recently #servebot taylor isn’t bad i just think it doesn’t make the best use of his stat spread #i keep saying they should make a hard specialist ability exclusive to daniil but apparently people think that would be too op???#like he didn’t get nerfed last update????? he hasn’t seen a lot of success in the competitive format in ages he needs smth like this #probably my favorite ever roadrunner user was david ferrer it’s a shame power creep has made him completely unusable #tennis

Finished Reading Nowhere Man about John's diaries and am starting to understand why people like the One Sweet Dream / Another Kind of Mind podcasters get so defensive over Paul tbh

#like if this is what ALL the books are like from older days then yeah it just feels inaccurate emotionally #also unnecessarily dismissive of and derogatory towards paul #like the writer straight up says he was taken aback by how obsessively john thought about paul and wrote about him nearly every day #that paul was the one who pulled him out of his funk in 1980 by releasing a song calling out to him and got him back recording music #and yet overall the book is also just going on about how john is clearly the superior talent and how much paul and the beatles #bored and annoyed john #sort of characterizing paul as this empty headed unartistic clinger on to john #and SORRY but that def does not seem accurate to me like just as a person with eyes and ears and a brain #i literally only really got into the beatles 2 months ago so i imagine the fandom has changed over time #coming into it the last few months i felt almost like paul was getting overpraised and john kicked aside a bit #but now im seeing thats probably somewhat a reaction to the way things used to be written and portrayed about them all for so long #i imagine things like the get back documentary have swayed the conversation more in Paul's favour the last few years #which is a good thing to me if he was always getting shit on like that #however i do sort of just want to be like THEY WERE BOTH TALENTED FLAWED AND WEIRD AND AT THEIR BEST CREATIVELY AS PARTNERS #instead of making them fight for superiority #and like maybe they could have been extremely competitive and jealous AND in love w each other #the two things dont have to be mutually exclusive?#like the dudes writing these books often seem to believe #and the way they do not at all seem to see how directly connected john getting with yoko was #to him trying to make paul jealous or replace pauls absence in his life #is a bit maddening to me as well #p
