The Decepticon book club gets a new member

I have this silly headcanon that the wolves all have specific names for each of the family, with Moll being "Mother/Leader/Boss", Mebh being "Sister" and Bill being, like, "Newbie".

But Robyn? Robyn led them in a battle against humans! She's like a mini-boss! So they call her "Commander". The wolves have decided this twelve-year-old stick-thin English girl is soooo cool, actually, and constantly ask her for advice in small problems they don't want to bother Moll about. She's considered equal to Mebh in the pack dynamic, but Mebh is a playmate while Robyn is the sensible one. The one with the braincells in their opinion. Most of these problems are simple wolf problems like "he stole my favorite stick. That's MY stick!!!" and "He stepped on my tail so I bit him. Now he's MAD at me????"

It pisses Mebh off to no end because Mebh feels it's entirely unfair that they're hefting this responsibility on her new sister (AND new wolfwalker!!! She's still new to all of this!!!) and is constantly trying to bait them into calling her "Sister" too and tries to get Robyn to follow in her footsteps.

Robyn, meanwhile, is like "Mebh, these are wolves. I'm not arguing with them unless it's absolutely necessary." and this somehow coalesces in her being their favorite minus Moll, and that's even more annoying to Mebh, who literally grew up with this pack and has wrestled each and every one over a spare rib bone (more than once!) so it's not uncommon for Mebh to tag along and yell at them when they're mucking around.

Does anyone have or can someone make an AU where the future Decepticons are also cogless in TF One? Like they weren’t the High Guard, they’re miners alongside the other future characters? And presumably through the story they end up siding with D-16 more to eventually form the Decepticons?

Like sure, I can admit that I see why they didn’t do this in canon; they only had like an hour and thirty minutes and presumably had to have things mostly recognizable to the general setup of the franchise by the end of the movie, there just wouldn’t be enough time to develop them

But I think the cogless future Decepticons would be really interesting, and I have to know what kind of relationship they could have had with the future Autobots, and most particularly Orion Pax and D-16, since they’re important later but just random nobodies in this state

I especially really want to know what cogless Starscream would be like. I’m not even a huge Starscream fan (I don’t dislike him, he’s just not a fixation), but I would be fascinated to see what this situation would be like for him. He wouldn’t even be able to fly, and never would have in this state because he would have been “born without a cog”; he wouldn’t be a Seeker, just a cogless bot. And being a Seeker is kind of integral to his characterization usually, how would this change him or the other Seekers? And how would getting a cog and becoming a Seeker affect them, would they feel like they’ve had this block on them suddenly removed, more so than other bots?

And like I said, there’s his relationship with Megatron/D-16. Back when they were cogless, they would have presumably been on equal standing, both socially and physically, and would have very little reason to beef, outside of possibly both vying for a similar position, or just generally not liking the other’s personality. How and when would the divide have started between them, and Megatron become the leader of this group over Starscream?

Like I need to see this alternate version of the story, I need a multi-chapter rewrite fic about this concept, it could be so interesting. Maybe have the future Decepticons included in the story by expanding the adventuring party, including a couple more Autobots to even it out, put Jazz in there or something

Also it’s not to say I’m not interested in the canon TF One Decepticons, they have a very interesting potential dynamic with Megatron being the youngest and a complete stranger to them, and there’s plenty to explore there, I’m just not the most approving of how convenient their existence is. But the cogless scenario provides another very interesting potential dynamic for the Decepticons to explore, and I want to see stuff of it

Fox (ignoring him) Senator Stonk released the following statement yesterday that he will be proposing a bill that would have Clone Troopers forage for food on planet to bring down military budget expenses.

Wolffe: wait what?

Fox (carrying on): when asked to clarify how that would work, Stonk had this to say: Our spending is out of control and we must come up with imaginative solutions. Many of the planets they are sent to have an abundance of flora and fauna. We should have them use the resources available. If they can destroy droids surely they should be able to find food sources.

Cody (blue screen of death face audible even in an audio format): wh..........

Fox: in response to the bill, Master of the Jedi Order Mace Windu had this to say: No.

He then gestured in tired exasperation to Clone Commander CC-411 who explained in great detail the pitfalls of having to feed an army of millions with this method. Windu's initial response has become a reaction 'gram on the holonet that has been shared three billion times and has sparked numerous mocking posts towards the proposed bill on SX (The stream formerly known as space twitter). I'll put the 'gram in the show notes.

Many of the bill's initial supporters loudly insisted they were never going to vote it through if it came up in session. Senator Stonk's press secretary claims that this is all a joke taken out of context and the Senator had no intention to actually propose such a bill.

Wolffe: that's too bad. I like the idea of hunting.

Cody: yes, but to feed your entire battalion?

Wolffe: oh no, I meant the senators. I would hunt them.
