PARADING AROUND IN FUR CLOAKS AND STOLEN LUXURIES, ADORNED WITH ALL MANNER OF LITTLE GEMS AND CHARMS AND JEWELRY. WEARING A CROWN THAT LOOKS JUST LIKE THE ONE CALEB CONJURED FOR HIM WHEN HE TOLD THE STORY OF A STRANGE CIRCUS MAN WHO WAS SO LOVED AND HAPPY--

There's just a bunch of little moments in the comic that made me feel like Kingsley is Molly's same heart and soul. A part of him that was always there, or a natural progression of his character, and it just makes me happy to see those aspects of him in the early circus days.

The Mighty Nein Origins: Mollymauk Tealeaf

Entertainer, fighter, and performer, “Molly” has a knack for hiding his true self behind the shifting color and shape of a personality he seems to wear like his singular coat. But as with every member of the Mighty Nein, his past will eventually catch up with him…and it’s a strange one indeed.

Join Critical Role: Vox Machina Origins writer Jody Houser, artist extraordinaire Hunter Bonyun, and Critical Role’s Matthew Mercer and Taliesin Jaffe as they reveal Mollymauk’s evolution from empty shell to vibrant individual, and the dark corners of his past that even he is afraid to examine.

NEWS: Changes, Guests, Revivals and What’s Next

The Scents of the Mighty Nein pack on Etsy has now been changed to reflect the current line-up: Mollymauk Tealeaf’s scent has been replaced with that of Caduceus Clay. However, the Mollymauk scent is still available as a 5ml limited edition special order.

Scent of a Warden would also like to highlight the high importance that Critical Role places on guest stars. To that end, I am working on a guest star pack that, while it will begin as a limited edition, may make a more permanent transition to Etsy depending on demand. At the moment, there is the potential for two separate ‘guest start packs’, although they cannot as yet be divided into separate campaigns. This will require some thought, so I am open to comments that might help prioritise these. Current thought is a ‘primary’ pack (Zahra, Kash, Arkhan, Kerr, Keg, Nila, Shakaste) and a more secondary pack from the fairly huge list of guest stars to whom Critical Role has played host over the years. I am entirely open to suggestions on which of the many will make the final seven in the secondary pack (although Lilith is entirely likely to appear in the secondary list regardless because I’m likely to see her player Kit Buss at MCM Comic Con London in October and I’ve been meaning to give her a Lilith scent blend of her own anyway).

Side note: my apologies, but Gern Blanston will not be appearing in the guest star scents, given the recent revelations regarding his personal conduct. Given my continuing failure to create a Tiberius Stormwind scent, please understand that I have nothing against dragonborn, but rather against abusive human beings.

Concerning Etsy, the ease of the ordering format and the moderate success of the Critical Role lines has tempted me to try an older formula for scent sales. To wit: I am strongly contemplating bringing back the Dragon Age and Mass Effect imp packs (Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age 2, Dragon Age: Inquisition, and each of the three original Mass Effect titles, as I still have not finished Andromeda and have no real plans in that direction, sadly). I would be grateful if anyone who’s interested in this as a concept could let me know, as gauging interest is a vital part of keeping Scent of a Warden offerings relevant.

Finally, after the production and lukewarm interest in the Scents of Overwatch, it’s time for Scent of a Warden to start a new project. The next scent collection will be Scents of Eora (Pillars of Eternity). Watch this space.
