literally do not have to actually think about this for a whole other semester but I'm curious what yalls opinion is.

basically: in the costume design 3 class at my school you pick a show and spend the semester designing the entire show start to finish. I've got some ideas and a few of them have specific spins id wanna do

believe me i do like plays, i like quite a few plays, i like designing plays, i just don't have any that jump out to me as being one id rlly wanna design

Managed to see Great Comet for the second time yesterday and my gods, it was just as stunning even from back of the circle!

Saved posting anything after the first watch (which was the last weekend of previews from the stalls) as didn't know if my reaction was purely "oh my God I'm actually watching my favourite show live for the first time" but nope, 100% this show is the most beautiful thing ever

Just a few thoughts under a read more in case, you know, spoilers

We had a cover for Natasha (read somewhere that may be due to an injury?) But actually I think the cover was just as good, if not BETTER than last time. She was more innocent rather than just headstrong, but bith actresses knocked it out of the park

Also Jamie has a cold and he did struggle with a couple of the high notes and was coughing up a storm, but he played it off well and still hit the note with "Petersburg!"

Sonya Alone broke everyone. The old guy next to me actually murmured "That was beautiful" under his breath, real testimant to the talent of this cast

Marya just straight up pulling a gun on Anatol still cracks me up. Plus audience was great and everyone was laughing at the right parts and clapping along in the club scenes.

Set is modern, like a nightclub feel, but speaking to a Russian fan who said it felt very much like Russia at the moment, so do with that what you will. Found the costumes a bit odd first watch having been so in love with the Broadway production however second time I was all in and went you know what, this works. (Although Broadway costume design my beloved!)

The comet at the end... I do not cry in theatres but both watches, tears were gathering as the voices swell beneath that circular glow. Now that scene I need injected direct into my veins...

Declan Bennets Pierre is gorgeous. Raw, powerful and broken, your heart bleeds. When people say he seems dull I am seriously confused about what show they're watching. He absolutely smashes the role. Honestly think he's my new favourite Pierre.

Wish I could get one more ticket but sadly, I believe that will be my last time seeing this... for now... Let us hope for a proshoot or transfer!

hey wyllas, im a huge fan of ardent gospel! have you heard of “the apuldor psalter” dreamtale by @sunnemona? its a medieval AU of dreamtale- the art’s super pretty, you should check it out if you can! ^^

i love their work!!! i've dabbled in their content but haven't thoroughly read through - though i genuinely adore their stuff

my favorite about apuldor psalter is probably the art style - the style itself really brings the story into life and captures the theme very well

also i saw this post where sunne answered a similar ask ! even if we don't talk to each other, their posts are always a treat to come across

Ghoul headcanons

WOOO! first post

-Swiss just carries Phantom around like a toddler. Like especially on tour when the poor bug was so tired. Even when he's big (I'll get into little space ghouls later)

-Dew likes smashing pumpkins no you can not argue.

-In my little world Aether and Sunny just retired and no they did not get sent back to the pit my poor soul can not do angst half the time.

-Sunny now has free time and is very close with Mist they are so cute together.

-Phantom can and will wear a dress and rock it (swiss loves it)

-People throw Swiss cheese at Swiss mainly dew but it's funny so it's fine

-Rain just sits at the bottom of the lake and sits for hours tell someone comes looking for him.

-Mario Kart is very serious within the pack and rain always wins

-All the ghoulettes have a girl's night and talk shit on the boys (in an affectionate way) and also figure out how to break them;)

-Mountain gets snowed in the greenhouse sometimes
