A bit ago I was looking through the g1 timeline wiki and I saw that Skyfire and Starscream now had a 5 million year old age gap and I was like oh? That makes their dynamic so much more interesting especially how innocent he was portrayed in fire in the sky, I also wanted to share my hc on why Skyfire never brought up Starscream again

A little 15 min doodle but first post of the year has to be Bingqiu!
#ok its time to get mushy in the tags because I doubt anyone would read them too closely#I’ve had severe art block for YEARS before I got into danmei in 2024#and it wasn’t that my skill was gone it’s just that I thought nothing I did was good enough#I started reading danmei around the summer of last year and I got SO INSPIRED#I dived into the fandom side of things (I haven’t been in a live fandom in years) and was so excited about all the art people were making#and writing! and music! and animatics!#everything was so bright and colorful and beautiful#and everyone had such cool designs for these book characters that I’d grown to love#so I took a chance and doodled a little Luo Binghe and posted him on here#and I was so taken aback by how welcoming and sweet the fandom was#it made me wanna keep taking chances and posting my art— because I think that’s one of the hardest things I’ve come to accept#that even if it’s not good enough for me#someone else may enjoy it#and ain’t it crazy that ive come to enjoy drawing again too#sure the interaction has been fun but it’s been even more fun experimenting with my style and experimenting with colors and rendering#and grayscale and angles#and composition and expressions#ahh!! art is so fun!! Bonus! Based on this quick thing I did this afternoon and the idea took a bit more shape and turned into that thing from above uEK
#not too much effort on the colors with this one#o would’ve left it just with lineart but at the end I thought it would look nicer with some rough shadows#shadowing. you know what I meant.#his plant markings being extremely faint on his eyes when they aren’t glowing is very true to me also#I think itd be awesome if Vash’s eyes would just look like that when he isn’t masking#or they could be a bit more lax but still look like they are staring far far away into the void#or into your souls if you so happen to make eye contact with him. like woowoo over here#he is probably listening for one of his sisters who is not so close to him. maybe even Kni? who knows it’s up to interpretation#Vash’s hair can be such a nightmare also. I do not think of physics when drawing him whatsoever#I give him the Mickey Mouse ears treatment sometimes and some other I actually respect the fact that his hair will always be swept#to the right. if you haven’t noticed that yet. Been artblocked lately, so i decided to sorta reset by trying out other styles, so here's EoW!Zelda in my style and 3 others!

#the legend of zelda#echoes of wisdom#the owl house#in stars and time#omori#loz#loz eow#zelda#toh#isat#josh art tag#this was really fun!! also kinda infuriating at times lol#owl house was verrry difficult for me as the proportions were so strange and the lines had to be precise and consistent#and omori was surprisingly hard!!#at first i was gonna do a real world portrait but the colors looked horriblr#and i decided it would be more fun to do headspace colors anyway#but then i still had trouble! i blame omori's inconsistent art#at first i didnt color it like the dialogue portraits and instead like official art#so she had basil's teal hair and had white skin and i had to try to guess a blue color for the cloak#but with those colors i didnt knoe how to shade it#so i went to the dialogue portrait style#and i almost left the hair to be just that blank color since anything else on the portraits that werent purple were blank#but then i decided to go the basil portrait route and color her hair at the ends and with blue#way too much grief for such a simple style...#and the face is kinda wonky but i wasnt gonna go back and fix it#anyway shoutout to isat for being the most fun and least difficult#honestly thought it was gonna be the hardest#but nope!#also the fact that that style is monochrome was so nice cuz gosh colors were hard for the other 2
