Also, since I’ve got two minutes, and in the wake of @manicr ‘s nice analysis on this run, that’s the occasion to get more on the production side, this time…

What you see here above is a color guide.

It’s pre-digital time, obvsly.

Which means, for the color side of the process, you had a stage when the page by the artist was printed in B&W, and someone chose the colors and painted the panels with little notes concerning each of the colors that would be used in the press stage as a guide to the printer (hence the name, as you’ll have cleverly all noticed)… That’s what the R(red) B(blue) Y(yellow) with numeral valors (for proportions) attached mean. Ex: the color of a dollar bill is Y3B3R2, here.

Also, not a specialist. And not very easy to explain in a foreign language, either. Anyone wants to add to the explanations, you’re welcome.

Yes, I own this one, that’s why the picture is all crappy. If anyone’s interested in me taking better pictures, just hit me. I’m just a bit in a rush right now. For the anecdote, I am a process junkie, I like knowing how things were made and have examples in my own hands. I hesitated buying this one because, well, not Lester at his most likeable, here, but on the other hand, if you’re to like the guy, you can at least acknowledge he’s neither alright nor a good guy… And this scene is a particularly good reminder… ^^;;
