Cruz: Protagonist, why are you standing in front of the fan?

Protagonist: I’m waiting for Louis to look into our window when he come home. When the fan is blowing on me, I look like a fancy supermodel.

Cruz: You want Louis to think you’re a supermodel?

Protagonist: Giving him eye candy is the least I can do. It’ll probably be the best part of his walk!

Cruz, sarcastically: You’re selfless.

Protagonist: Thank you for noticing.

Bernard’s photo of Charlie’s jacket reminded me of a podcast (and I completely can’t remember the name or any other details beyond this story) where a guy was saying that when Charlie took off his jacket that meant soundcheck was starting. When he put his jacket back on, that meant soundcheck was over no matter what. I like the story because it shows how Charlie really was in control and the others followed his lead.

I would believe it.

Viktor Bockris’ book on Keith, which drew on interviews with Keith himself and information from those surrounding the Stones, says much the same thing:

✂️- how do you feel about dismemberment?

Grey: "It honestly kind of freaks me out, so I try not to think about it. To lose a limb, or several!? I'm glad I've never been in a situation that required it. I'd never do that to someone, if that's what you want to know, I think it's cruel."

White: "It's a love hate relationship, since the idea of it squicks me out the same way as Grey, but by the same token it is incredibly fascinating to study. Phantom limb syndrome, the fact that after you lose a limb you might still be able to feel it? It's something I do to others not out of malice, but out of curiosity. I wonder if you can trick the body into feeling a limb it never had..."

📍-how do you feel about impalement?

Grey: "Not something I care for. It's messy and barbaric."

White: "Depends on what's doing the impalement. I will admit it's exciting seeing a gaping hole left in place of whatever went through the soft flesh. Big enough hole and you can see someone's inner anatomy without an x ray or MRI machine! Shame impaling in areas where I really want to look at are in spots much more likely to result in the recipient's quick death."

🗝- what’s something about your interest that you’ve never told anyone before?

Grey: "Did you know that when we fall asleep our heads actually flood with a cerebrospinal fluid that helps flush out neurotoxic waste from the brain! While we think we're resting, our bodies are actually working hard to recover and clear away unnecessary gunk, and in the brain that could be both literal toxins as well as old or unnecessary memories! One of the toxins it clears away is actually responsible (or at least plays a huge part) in causing Alzheimer's in the elderly."

White: "There are some people whose bodies really don't like losing blood, so if they're trying to donate blood, the vein could just... decide to collapse itself to ensure no more blood gets through it. Alternatively there are some people whose blood really really wants to get out (unrelated to being too thin or having a bleeding disorder) so when they donate, they don't even have to squeeze the stress ball to keep the blood flow steady. Actually if they do, they'd probably donate dangerously quickly and have to fight off passing out haha."

i know we go on and on about how writing is not fun but sometimes if it's a Saturday at 10:02am and there is a soft breeze blowing through the window and you have a hot chocolate to drink and you are still wearing your pajamas and your laptop is open to your favorite scene which comes halfway through chapter eleven... then it is slightly, slightly just a little tiny bit fun.
