A little bit more of the Avatar AU. I've tarted a series following this short comic of Dilla and Caleb meeting baby Miles/Spider:

It did not take long for Dilla and Caleb to adopt Miles, they had fallen in love with the tiny baby immediately ❤️ They decided to keep the name Miles, to honor the choice of his late birth mother Paz Socorro.

Since the baby was too small for a breathing mask, Caleb and Dilla would at first take turns staying with him at the human facilities. Later Elyon, the head of the facility, arranges for a shack to be placed in the Omatikaya village so Dilla and Caleb can finally take their son home, and care for him there. As Miles grows up, the shack also serves as a resting space where he can take off his breathing mask, eat and sleep more comfortably e.t.c.

When Dilla gives birth to Kai the baby brothers create a bond right away, always snuggling together and crying when separated. Unfortunately at the start they must be separated often since Kai, like all Na'vi and avatars, cannot breathe in human spaces for an unlimited time, and he himself is too little for a mask. It breaks their parents hearts to keep them apart during this first times, but they still make sure they spend as much time as they can together.

Caleb...

it's always so fascinating and heartbreaking when a character in a story is simultaneously idolized and abused. a chosen prophet destined for martyrdom. a child prodigy forced to grow up too fast. a powerful warrior raised as nothing but a weapon. there's just something so uniquely messed up about singing someone's praises whilst destroying them.

More Mythology AU✨ Caleb sleeps as Goddess Dilla (shifting between her bird and human form) shelters him from the rain. ❤️

As he stirs awake his eyes widen in wonder, captivated by the ethereal being before him. Without thinking his hand reaches out to touch her, desperate to know if she’s real.

In that tender, fleeting moment, Dilla's heart races. This mortal, with his simple gesture, awakens a feeling deep within her, something she has never known in her long, lonely existence.

Assara, a fierce scarred warrior of the Galhot tribes, lives under the heavy shadow of her exile. Her heart consumed by vengeance, rage, and grief. But everything changes when a nameless human woman, frail with sickness, mysteriously appears in the harsh and unyielding land of the outcasts.

Had to make an Avatar version for these two as well because I have no restraint :3

Assara is a reef Na'vi who has chosen a life of self-exile, distancing herself from her people because of differences of beliefs. She shuns both Na'vi and Humans alike, indifferent to their conflicts, and finds solace in the isolation of her remote island. Her solitude is disrupted when Liora, a marine biologist working for the RDA, stumbles upon her intrigued by the sight of a towering Na'vi woman living without a clan.

When Assara first notices the sky-woman's boat, she reacts with hostility, attempting to attack her and drive her away. Things change however after Assara is mauled by an Akula. Assara drags herself to the beach wounded and Liora rushes to shore with a medkit, pleading to be allowed to help. Once again Assara is hostile but eventually and reluctantly she accepts Liora's aid.

From that moment on a connection begins to form. Assara and Liora realize they are both outcasts in their own ways. Liora arrives on Pandora driven by a desire to help Earth’s people, but she disagrees with many of the RDA’s methods and chooses to work alone and far from their base, while Assara has chosen to leave her people behind, seeking the freedom to live life on her own terms, away from judgment and demands. Slowly they grow closer, finding comfort, companionship, and eventually something deeper in each other.

Oh dear, the thought of Diego being in any way a reflection of self is absolutely terrifying! Caleb resonates on trauma and stress, but Diego is a stark reminder of just how crucial mental health is, and how you can be a victim of yoursef and your poor choices

i am a firm believer that ocs are a reflection of the self in the way that every character you create has to hold some piece of you to really feel alive. sometimes this is why all your ocs have certain traits, sometimes this is why you can track your various issues and traumas all the way from middleschool to now based on what your ocs are like. this is a feature not a bug

I have tons of drawings for the sweet family and more once I'm finished with my studies, this is one of the sketches ^^

Caleb for the Mythology AU ✨✨ About to challenge both mortals and Gods with his crazy plans and adventures.

Based on my conversations with @katerinaaqu we took a lot of Inspiration from classical Greek figures such as Diomedes but especially Odysseus.
