the question is who taught lucanis to knit. was it something he already knew how to do or is he picking it up over the course of the game as part of his 'if I manage to cram enough hobbies in there I won't have to sleep again ever. easy' experiment. did he learn it out of a book (as a sometime knitter, a horrifying thought but I wouldn't put it past him). as hilarious as I find the mental image of caterina with knitting needles I do not believe in it, did he pick it up from someone in the household staff growing up the same way he did cooking. is the sweater he wears with his introductory armour his own work (very funny if so it's just so. incredibly neutral toned and sensible.) I understand why he never does it on screen because animating knitting is the devil's own work and bioware were right to dodge right past it no one should wish themselves that kind of pain, but do you think off-screen he's using it the same way davrin does whittling during team meetings and book club nights (for real the grandmas were so right for this: knitting during social group situations is a neurodivergent life hack like you wouldn't believe if doodling isn't your thing/isn't doing it for you). it's that or sharpening his knives and some people seem to get a bit nervous about that so he mostly sticks to the knit one purl one of it all. does he make things for the team. for romanced rook perhaps. boring but useful things like socks and scarves, to be clear. I think mr. 'I made you a cake (cautiously marital intent)' would not mean to impress just make sure your feet weren't cold jogging around the heights of athim killing darkspawn. knitting more socks for harding so she won't get cold walking around everywhere in her fereldan *checks notes written on palm* clogs. some of taash' outfits... you think rook and lucanis are letting them walk around the anderfels like that without at least a token sensible scarf on even tho adaari are built different in terms of body temperature. I say no not in my lighthouse they would team up and mother hen them to shathann levels before they'd let that happen. (the scarf has dragons on it taash thinks it's kind of cool actually.) a bobble hat for manfred not because he really needs it but because he wanted to feel included. assan indignantly tries to steal it and fly away with it so he gets his own scarf to promote peace between the lighthouse little guys and it works. help.

A bunch of Ghosts with a variety of outfits he owns (either by stealing them or making them himself), or has been badgered into wearing (i.e. all the modest stuff he visibly despises). There's also a lil teen Ghost for...reasons. :3c A few of these outfits are even heavily based off of stuff I have actually seen on mannequins in shopping malls, just with a Special Ghost Twist.

His fashion sense sure is something, huh. <:]

Here's the prints I threw together for a couple of the outfits. Both the Cherry Skull and Worm Party prints tile - the Rainbow Tiger Spooky Bonanza does not, at least in its current form (the ghost and tiger stripe layers DO tile separately, though). Meanwhile, I accidentally deleted the full-size mushroom print due to Dumb Sick Brain, whoopsies... ._.;

I think I may have posted this before in a less finished state...? Either way, I may attempt to work this disguise of Ghost's into Breach somehow. We shall see. Either way, he goes by 'Calico' in this form.

Really hope the next avatar show includes mako and/or bolin atleast a little just for the chance to hear more about their backstory. Korra really could've benefited from just focusing more on the main 4 having adventures similarly to the gaang. You have 4 perfectly good backstorys that are different enough to clash well if just done right. You have 2 homeless kids who's parents were killed by firebenders, a rich non-bender who's mother was also killed by firebenders and a girl who was completely isolated from all of this and you *aren't* gonna use that to develop the world?? Not to mention how mako *is* a firebender and how that couldve been used. It's a shame how wasted Asami, mako and bolin ended up being.

PSA: Utilities Charge Whatever They Want

So like, if you're paycheck to paycheck, if you're having financial difficulties, pay close fucking attention to your utility bills...

Because look at this bullshit.

Guess what happened in the 61 day billing period for 9/28/2023 statement date?

I moved into my fucking house. And started running my stove/oven and then eventually my furnace.

Guess what wasn't being used in every previous billing date shown here...?

NATURAL GAS. Like literally (in the actual definition of literally) none of it. Almost had my dad going to check if there was a leak in the lines at one point over the summer because nothing was being used. But nope, it's just the gas company charging whatever the fuck they feel like, whether you've used anything or not.

CONCLUSION: Pay attention to your bills because what they do is charge you based on an estimate of what your neighbors are using, not what you actually use. If you're having financial issues, call up your utility company and tell them that you will be calling in a reading every month (because they only send a person out to do an actual reading every other month, or now, every few months with ours, and just charge you whatever they want otherwise, and adjust it later when they do an actual reading... you can see in my bill they owed me a ton of money, because $11.17 is lower than the base charge for even having the gas turned on). And at least in NYS (or my county anyway), you have the right to demand they bill you on your actual usage by calling in a reading yourself because they don't want to pay someone to go out and do it monthly (but you can be damn sure they're going to charge you monthly).

*Also note: the double-billing 61 days on top of already being billed for 35 days of presumable the same time-period, and yet still, completely nonsensical invoice when you click on it. Their numbers come out of their ass.
