Also it’s a lovely studio! Masks required, hepa filters running, quiet area, but still near a bus route, was quiet once some of the people left (my artist was also super surprised that all of the tables were in use when they arrived at the shop too!!) and even though we didn’t chat (they put in their faq basically that they often forget to chat so bring headphones or whatever to do while they work) it wasn’t awkward or anything. It felt like such a safe space and I adore it so much :) (and it’s more local to get to than the other one that I’m definitely also going to go back to too at some point hopefully this year) (yay local queer owned covid cautious studios!!!!!)

there used to be a craft store next to the grocery store I always go to. The chain went out of business and it closed down. The building's still there, it's just another empty storefront now. I miss being able to wander around in there. It usually wasn't very business and there weren't many employees and you could just be left alone to look at fabrics and beads and candles in peace. I miss being able to go wander around and ook at stuff and not feel obligated to buy things or being asked by employees. There's not many places I can go now without having to buy something just to sit there

had to choose between scheduling an uber to the doctor tomorrow (costing Moneys, but taking like 30 minutes) or taking the bus (60 minutes for the shortest route, every route involving a transfer that i have a 50/50 shot of making it to the next stop in time for, but costing $2). i think transportation to a doctor should be super fast and also free forever and ever and ever

Do u ppl really live places that dont have parks, public pools, or general downtown areas to walk around in? Wooded area w/ pull off parking? Local creek? Abandoned building? Friday night hs football games? One (1) friend with a drivers license? I just dont buy that teens have absolutely no where to hang out with each other. Even before anyone had a car, we would walk around downtown (of a small city, so like 6 total blocks and two parks) until everything was closed and our parents picked us up. Surely i don't live in some rare utopia that has a coffee shop, a bookstore, a park, and a movie theater within walking distance? This is rare in the US? Forget teens, what do adults do in these places??
