Oh yes definitely! I don't have much atm beyond dot points but I'll put some good ones below. This is the one I'm leaning towards the most for Codex week so I really hope the brain cell lets me finish it.

Rex needs a certain edge to his play and Cody knows exactly how to give it to him

Can still be tender and have tender moments but definitely tender aftercare

Maybe as Cody takes the weighted nipple clamps off Rex and Rex yells are muffled by the gag and he clutches onto Cody’s hand and Cody continues to tell Rex he’s doing well while playing with his painfully throbbing nipple and Rex is making gravelly sort of rage filled pained noises and pulling and twisting and writing but he can barely move because Cody is not a fucking amateur thank you very much and the bondage gear is heavy duty so all Rex can do is ineffectual and pointlessly writhe in his bonds and scream into his gag and cry and sob and look pleadingly at Cody, not sure if he’s begging for it to end or for more (both?)

Rex watched the holo for a couple of minutes, trying and failing to make sense in the messy web of relationships between the characters, before turning to Cody: "You have a terrible taste, ori'vod." What he really wanted to say was "We haven't even been in a battle yet and you've almost died already, so I'm going to stay with you here, watching you, making sure you are safe."

Another day of the #codexweek , pre-series Cody and Rex (look at him, his hair is so long!)

A little snippet I’m writing for @codex-week (Day 5 with an alternate prompt ’Sea of Duner’ by Colin Arc). My first Codexweek sooo I’m a bit nervous, hopefully this will turn out ok 😅

Their encampment is not that far actually but Cody wanted to have a chance to explore the strange reddish dunes a bit. Because for once they have a couple of days of – not downtime exactly but not full-on war either. This is a convenient way to scout the surroundings while also. Well. Cody swallows, side-eyes Rex who’s bucket is tilted and who seems to be observing tiny lizard-like creatures who are able to sprint around on sand. Rex mutters something about envying them but his voice is warm, even through the helmet. Cody bites his bottom lip and glances at the surroundings. If the directions his scouts sent are correct…

And yes. A little rocky mound shimmers in the harsh sunshine.

”We could take a break over there,” Cody suggests. His voice is thick even in his own ears.

Abruptly, he feels very stupid and awkward. He doesn’t know if this is a good idea, if Rex would even want to do anything like this because - because they are not sweet or cute or even actually together.

Rex has stopped admiring the wildlife and is watching him. Cody shifts, starts towards the rocky formation and waves Rex along. “Won’t be far,” he mutters, feeling heat spreading over his cheekbones.

Rex follows.

They climb towards the top of this little haven of not-sand and oh Force yes there is the cave. As promised.

The cave is dim and rocky structures making up the walls are deep reddish orange, color stronger than in the sand. Rex’s curiosity is like a tingle along Cody’s spine and he can feel it in the way Rex steps close, removes his bucket and kneels to slide his gloved hand along the smooth surface under their feet. Cody lets his pack slide on the ground and watches Rex, takes off his bucket and drags a hand over his face. Sweat and sand. As rays of the setting suns light up the entrance, Rex’s blond hair glows orange, reminiscent of the color in their armor paint. Cody swallows. Rex lifts his gaze, eyes wide and questioning and beautiful.

”Why did you want to come here?” He frowns. “Commander.”

Cody knows he should keep his distance. He should not get attached because one shouldn’t get involved with one’s subordinates and -

His mind is blank.
