When I get seafood cravings, I'll go there! To enjoy the music and have a good munch. A codburger sounds horrible. I mean, that's on whoever named cods cods. Imagine being a cod and finding out that people named you a cod. The word cod has lost all meaning to me now.

Yeah, general rock and roll vibes throughout. And there's good burgers too. I'm just saying... Especially when that's not the only place in town where you can get something like that. The codburger's dubious, but it does exist.

NAME: Driftwood Diner

LOCATION: Harborside

Driftwood Diner opened in 1953 and has flourished since as a family restaurant. But if you’re looking to eat healthy, you came to the wrong place; the Driftwood takes pride in that their fries come with a side of grease. While they may not be the top choice in town for seafood, they have a serviceable offering, including their infamous (or perhaps notorious) “codburger”. It’s what it sounds like. While tasty, it’s a bit of a gamble. Sometimes the cod is not cod, and sometimes the not-cod gives you scales for a week.

Due to how the diner is situated -- perched right by the crashing waves -- it is constantly flooding. More often than not the outside seating isn’t available, and the restaurant usually needs to close for repairs after a good storm.

There’s a lot of wood in the restaurant that probably needs some replacing, but it does add to the beachy ambiance of the place.

The menu has every classic dinner item you can imagine, though their burgers and milkshakes are the highlights.

Open twenty-four hours, seven days a week. They use the same menu all day, so you can have a burger for breakfast and french toast for dinner if you want.

There’s a small patio area that accommodates a few tables, and it has a nice view of the beach. Some patrons have said they’ve heard whispering from beneath the deck.

Every once in a while, employees and patrons who come in during the early morning are greeted with the entire diner being covered in seaweed. Inside. Management is used to cleaning it up by now, but no one really knows how it happens.

I carry my own lactaid. It's in a cute coin purse thing shaped like a dog head. Can I mix them???? Can I bring friends? I have some friends who could also totally use milkshakes, but like, I can pay for theirs. Nora is one of them and I'm not sure if you want to

I, myself, enjoy Hallow's Eats but if you want something really different The Driftwood Diner has a codburger. Not my favorite but if that's your thing...

That's a reference to a song, right? A fuckin jam, if I recall correctly? Does this mean they play good music? I don't mind seafood when I wanna eat seafood, but I do mind it on my burger. Burger =/= fish. That's math.
